Ramo's Turkish Kitchen in Kingston upon Thames

Fantastic, most delicious food masha'Allah! Absolutely delightful. I enjoyed my time here and had a wonderful meal. The bathroom is also very nicely decorated. Although the food itself was marvellous, the price was much too hefty and I heard from some family members who were also dining with me at this establishment that one of the waitresses seemed annoyed to have to deal with my relative who was enquiring about the absence of *tea* in her mint *tea* that she had ordered. I think service could have therefore been a little better but my personal experience was very positive alhamdulilah. If you don't mind the high price, then I would recommend you try out this place.

Food not Turkish, although menu lists them all. Taste not delicious. Nit worth the money. Very slow service.

Been coming here for a fee years now and have always really liked it. However it has gone down hill. They book out their restaurant to full capacity and then can not keep up with the service. We waited 20 mins to be given menus we only got menus eventually because we asked for them. We then had to ask after another 10 mins to order drinks. We ordered sides with our mains but the sides came out 15 mins before our mains so were cold. One party member didn't get their meal till 20 mins after the rest of the table, all food was slightly warm. When we asked where the last meal was we were shouted at and told cant you see we are busy. The bill came and we took the service charge off to which the waiter was not pleased. After everyone had paid and cleared the full bill minus the service charge the wait came back to the last remaining party member and said the bill had not been settled in full and took the service charge from them. Thats a scum bag move. No service was provided so did not warrant a tip being left. Sad this place has gone so down hill in service they cannot cope under pressure and do not have enough staff!

Went there with daughter for a quick dinner . Welcoming staff. All kinds of meat are displayed nicely & neatly Service was super quick they gave us fresh Turkish bread with tanziki and within 15 minutes we had our mains meat & chicken cubes were so delicious ( 1 skewer/ small size for £15.50 ) ( 2skewers /large size for £21.50 )

The best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to ,the food is DELICIOUS ,meat is tender ,it melts in the mouth , everything was perfect,service was great,staff were hospitable and friendly,thanks for the special experience we had today

Gutted been here lots and always enjoyed our visits. This time however was a nightmare from beginning to end. We will not be returning unfortunately. Food was very poor and cold as was the service. Staff rude unfortunately end of an era for us

Absolutely amazing! The food was unreal, the decor was fantastic, and the service was top-tier. Annush looked after our table of eight so well. Our drinks were never empty, and the food was next level. The whole experience felt like we were on holiday in Turkey! We’ll 100% be coming back

Love kebabs and lahmacun, really nice and delicious but beware of the desserts which are extremely over pricey. 2,5 pieces of baklava is 7.5£. Chocolate cake is even worse,10£ for a slice which is one of the worst I have ever eaten!

They charge £3.50 for a cup of tea that's been sitting there all day on the samovar & costs them about 5 pence to make. On top of that, they serve it cold & then when you tell them it's cold & doesn't taste fresh, the waiter ARGUES with you & refuses to either replace it or at least not take payment for it. Reminder that taking haram money from people doesn't being anyone success. Nor does treating people indignantly. They charge £10 for cake that's old & obviously been sitting there for ages least a few days. Rip off restaurant. For such an experience & expensive & overpriced restaurant, I won't be returning or recommending. As for the atmosphere, it feels like a high class McDonald's. This restaurant has no happiness in it because they are just greedy for money, not out of genuine desire to serve people. Many restaurants are like this & until you start to stop being greedy & out to rip people off & just about making money 🤑, you will not be successful.

Absolutely amazing food !!! Cooked perfectly and tender. I have been at this restaurant 3 times now and all 3 times the food is being very tasty. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere inside feels like a community. They had a collogue birthday yesterday and everyone was singing happy birthday, small gesture but it’s lovely to see companies doing that for collogues. Thank you very much, I’ll be back soon definitely.

The food was excellent. The service was immaculate and I couldn’t have been in a more friendly and welcoming environment. Our server Naza was amazing and she was very kind and treated us very well

I enjoyed the Kunefe and appetizers. Disappointed with the grilled meats especially the lamb chops. Its chewy and the taste is just ok. The rice is a meh.. I don’t think you can go wrong with that but the bulgur is good so its ok. Service is really good though, they are very accommodating. Place is also nice.

I love this place. Great food and great service.

We ordered food as soon as we sat down, and we asked them to come back to order more. Then, they never came back and made us to wait for our orders for around 40 minutes. Our orders sent to another table and they accused us why they mixed up the tables. But, they let us change tables because we complained about the cold sitting next to window. They never apologized and they were not kind.

I’ve eaten better kebabs in a Turkish restaurant in London than in Turkey!! Ramo’s is that place. Huge restaurant, very quick service and food was mouth-wateringly delicious. Wasn’t crazy about the baba ghanoush but the hummus with meat, lamb and chicken shish, Adona kebabs were 👌🏻 U have to go and try this place.

It’s my first time here and I am amazed how delicious the food and service was excellent, we were served by Mr. Suleyman he is very polite and gentle.. I highly recommend this restaurant. ☺️☺️☺️

Tonight we had our dinner here , when we were order we asked for salmon , the man who was taking the order bring sea bass instead of salmon , we called him to explain that we didn't order this instead of fix this issue he said no no you ordered sea bass we were two And I heard my friend while he was ordering and he ordered salmon , he didn't even change our food , cuz I don't like sea bass at all we didn't even finish hald of the food , in the end when we said we are done and we asked for two tea he nobody didn't come and clean our table and they just gave of tea , service is definitely 0

Very hospitable family-run restaurant; we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was of a high quality and the vibe was very pleasant. Even though this institution serves alcohol, the owners have reassured us that their food is halal and that they source their meat from a local halal butchers. Also, the homemade baqlava with Turkish tea combination is a must.

Me and my family came here for dinner last nigh,well I should say that Ramos has the most tasty meat ever in Kingston! I love the vibes at this restaurant & service as well, in particular Razak from Morocco, such a genuine and professional man 🙂. Thank you Ramos we will defo come back soon!

Hands down the best Turkish restaurant in London!!! We were served by supervisor Erhan who went above and beyond for my mums birthday. The food is absolutely amazing and portions are generous. I would absolutely recommend coming here for birthdays and other celebrations. Thank you so much Erhan and the team for making my mums birthday so special!!

I’ve been to Ramos several times, and it’s easily one of the best Turkish restaurants in London. The food is usually exceptional—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. However, on this visit, a dish was slightly undercooked. That being said, the team handled the situation wonderfully, addressing it quickly and professionally. What truly stood out during this visit was our server, Erhan. His energy was absolutely electric, and he went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. His attentiveness, charisma, and genuine passion for providing excellent service made a huge difference. Even with the slight hiccup, I would return in a heartbeat—not just for the great food, but also for the incredible service. Ramos truly lives up to its reputation as a top Turkish dining spot in London! Highly recommended.

It was my 55th birthday and my children surprised me by taking me to Ramo's Turkish Restaurant 140A London Road Kingston Upon Thames KT2 8QL. I had the most wonderful time, the staff were awesome in the service they provided. Erhan was our waiter who suggested to have the platter for 3 people. For £66 excluding drinks 🍸. The food was so filling, we ended up taking so much of it home. We had such awesome beautiful time. The staff are friendly, the food is lovely. The restaurant atmosphere is fantastic. I wish google gave the option of 10 🌟 This place is my favourite restaurant so far. I will definitely visit again. The biggest surprise was the surprise birthday cake 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🎂 and the candle for the birthday wish. i went to ramos restaurant for the first time and i really enjoyed being in this restaurant. there was many birthdays and what made me happy is , staff are really enjoying to celebrate birthdays and they are friendly staff. and at the end of my dinner they have offered me Turkish tea and that was really so nice. thank you and i will come back again

I’ve been here couple of times and the service is outstanding, staff is very professional and helpful. The quality of food was marvellous, the grills were perfectly cooked. Overall the experience has always been great. ☺️

Positive Points: 1. The restaurant looks beautiful from the outside, with a mostly glass design that creates a modern and elegant atmosphere. 2. The food was tasty and well-prepared, especially the BBQ grill items. Negative Points: 1. The seating near the windows was extremely cold, making it uncomfortable for guests. Adding extra heaters could improve this issue. 2. Service was poor: Staff kept ignoring us and were unresponsive, even though many were free and standing around. It took too long to get simple requests like extra glasses, bread, or sauce. We had to ask multiple times to receive these items, despite sitting near the counter. 3. For the price paid, the quality of service did not meet expectations. Recommendation: I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless service and comfort are improved.

I've driven past this place several times and decided one day to go there next time. When wanting to place an order, I found it hard to get someone's attention as some of the staff looked and ignored us. Finally, when someone came over, I had to ask for some of my orders like chips, bread and other twice and still did not get one of them. I also told them its a birthday and nothing was done, whereas whilist we were there they played 4 birthday songs. Overall, the service was one of the worst.

Very bad service, was impossible to get staffs attention, had to wait very long for the food and some of the things ordered did not arrive at all. Service could have been much better as food was nice

Not great experience. Went to dine with friends and it started off well, but when it came to ordering one of us had an intolerance/allergy and it wasn’t even possible to switch out rice for fries, which im pretty sure was worth the same as the other thing. Then we received the fries with the starter instead of with the mains even though it was made clear we wanted it with the mains (as it was a switch from rice with a main dish). So when we did mention it to someone they said ‘one minute’ and never came back. Then our mains came but at this point the fries our friend wanted with their mains were cold. We did ask whether we could have a fresh portion of fries now since the other had gone cold since and pointed out that we did ask for it earlier but then we decided we just dont want it anymore since we felt that no one cared and we were pretty much finished with the mains anyway. They had an argument with us but then very begrudgingly agreed with us in the end. Not great service, sorry to say. Otherwise food is good though.

Manager who was also our server, made a mistake and blamed us. He never apologised and made us feel extremely unwelcome. The other staff were pleasant, shame this place is ruined for us now, won’t be returning

The salad was made with poor-quality ingredients, the bread was stale, and no one ate the lahmacuns. The quality of the food was very low. We don’t understand how a restaurant of this quality is being run.

Erhan was fantastic waiter very attentic to your needs couldn't ask for a better waiter.The atmosphere is very warming and decour is modern. The food is best I have had in london it's 5 stars for sure perfect authentic Turkish food. I will definitely be coming back again

Food basic, no flavour, not what I expected as it looks so beautiful on the outside and it always seems busy????!!! I order the same meal in every Turkish restaurant and the meal here was by far the worst.

Wow! So many good things to say about this restaurant. Everything we ordered was so delicious and portion sizes were quite big! The kleftiko lamb shank was so tender and fell off the bone and full of flavour. The lahmacum was huge for the price and so tasty. We came for my mother’s birthday, i informed the staff and they kindly accommodated us complimentary cake slice and an applause from the staff and happy birthday music, it was quite dramatic! Erhan even gave us the Turkish tea on the house, shoutout to Erhan and all the staff, they were all lovely and cracking jokes with us. Lovely service from all at Ramo’s Kitchen, hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Thank you very much and God bless.

Visited today with my two friends for their birthday and as usual best food , amazing service and friendly atmosphere . Staff is very professional and friendly . My two friends have their birthday so I took them for lunch and as soon staff knew about birthday without letting us know he brought baklava and played birthday song . What a fabulous and fantastic end to our lunch . Definitely recommend

Decent restaurant with good food and decent service. Can get very busy, and you can expect a wait for your food. The birthday songs every few minutes get annoying very quickly as they are loud and divert everyone's attention towards the birthday party tables. Please note that their meat can smell and taste of fat. I tried their mixed grill and both the chicken and lamb kebabs put me off immediately. This typically happens when the meat used is not fat free. Whenever I eat meat like this it makes me gag. So if you are sensitive to such meat do keep this in mind.
