I’m rating the cafe, We ordered a pizza margarita wrap, they warmed it up in Mikey, the trusted microwave so it was soggy like wet socks. It stuck to the paper, the dough wasn’t cooked even before they put it in Mikey. I returned it and they toasted it for 2 minutes that just barely cooked the outer layer. We just left it at that. Waste of money and rude customer service

Worst experience had. The staff were extremely rude. We purchased 2 teas from the counter and the staff couldn’t handle a 1 year old eating baby food as not purchased from there. Bad hygiene as well.

It did not feel comfortable nor welcoming, and the impression was that they'd had one too many school trips in. All the chairs and tables were plastic and the cleaner present could not be bothered to lift the chairs but scraped them continually on the concrete looking floor.

I came with three small (under 2 children) and bought food and drinks. I asked for 'a croissant' and when I ate it realised it had ham in it. I am a vegetarian. When I took it back and explained the manager snatched it from me and walked away. When I waited she said it says ham in the fridge so she wouldn't offer me anything else. It's hard enough getting anywhere with three under three. I won't come here again.

Sunday lunch time, not many customers slow service, possible training staff so we respected the pace. Coffee and toasty was ordered. The toasty was very dissappointing, the best thing on the plate was the balsamic dressing for the salad. Ordinary sliced bread is not what we where expecting. I like supporting small individual enterprises and have had good food her in the past. But very disappointed this time. Sorry guys

I was disgusted to the core, my child had accidentally smash a glass and it shattered into thousands of pieces, covering all of us including my baby, this cafe is supposed to be child friendly so plastic cups should of been available for use. The manager was sat at a table and continued to sit and watch one of her employees come to our aid, not once did she approach us and left the poor girl to see to us. I was extremely angry that not once did she come and see if we were ok. On leaving I approach the girl who help us and thanked her infront of the manager, she still kept silent, I will never be going here again abysmal

Soup, jacket potato and cake all excellent, though tea was bland and weak. Lots of noise from counter area such as crashing of crockery on other crockery. Better menu than before when all that seemed to be on offer was everything with cheese and no jacket potatoes. Please get a better brand of tea!

I only had a coffee so can't comment on food, but staff were very nice. I found the setting a bit institutional in atmosphere despite nice art hanging on walls. The noise from washng up/ cooking area was loud even though it was in different room, and I think the style of tables and chairs kept it from feeling comfortable.

I always choose to use the cafe here for lunch or a cup of tea on shopping trips to Exeter, it's usually a calm and quiet space with good food and a lovely setting. However, i haven't been much this summer and when I popped in today it was really disappointing. My husband and our granddaughter had spent a lovely time there whilst my daughter and i browsed the Exeter shops, however at only 10 past 1 there was very little selection left for lunch and everything we ordered we were told had 'sold out'. We ended up with cheese toasties, frankly I'm not sure they had seen the toaster or the cheese, and the tiny side salad garnish was sparce to say the least! My daughter's panini was also hardly toasted either. The cafe was really messy, customers had obviously left and the tables weren't cleared and i noticed lots of half eaten food on the plates. A few people came in after us but left almost immediately, so obviously the choices for food where even sparcer. We didn't stay for a cup of tea but went elsewhere. What a shame a previously favourite spot was so poor today.

Killing time whilst walking around Exeter we decided to visit the museum before finding somewhere to have lunch. Well, we didn't need to look far! The café in the museum is a true find. Scrumptious display of cakes, the only down side was which one to choose. I chose a very yummy Bakewell slice and my partner who is a coeliac was spoilt for choice. He eventually chose a Portobello Mushroom Pie which was gluten free. Lovely coffee too. The lady serving us was brilliant, very helpful and we plan to come back again very soon.

I popped into the museum for a quick lunch. They have a sign saying sandwiches made to order. I asked for a simple ham and tomato sandwich, no can do, why? I ended up having a ham and cheese toasted sandwich, which came with a side salad. Sandwich had the least thin ham possible, virtually undetectable cheese, and was not very toasted. The salad was a disgrace, slimy blackening lettuce, some tomato and an olive.this cost £4.75! Very poor ambiance, and I would not recommend it.

Eaten here before, after very rewarding and interactive display watching with grandchildren - can't recommend the content of the museum too highly. However, when buying food in the café, it was disappointing to find profit before value in the children's meal offering; £3.95 for a tiny yoghurt (25p), an apple (30p), a bag of crisps (35p) and a tired, tiny ham roll (50p).... max. value £1.40...... No child's meal is bought without a profitable adult's meal... this is a mistake.

Dairy free sour cherry and pistachio cake was really good. This was the only DF option but several gluten free options which is nice to see.Generally a little expensive but when you have free entry to the museum I dont think its that bad and certainly not worth grumbling over! Nice fresh peppermint tea, and cafe area clean.Tables are a little small for family of 4 but as cafe not that big overall its a good way to get more tables in for people to use at busy times.

Being a resident of Exeter for many years I thought it about time I visited the museum. As we wandered around I kept getting a delicious coffee aroma and decided to pop into the RAMM cafe when we had finished. I had some lovely spiced lentil soup and one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had! My partner had a pastry stuffed with ham and cheese which she said was lovely. All local produce as well. Recommended, we will be back!

May Bank Holiday Saturday. 1pm. This museum is a hidden gem; a quite splendid regional collection of random scientific ccuriositites and rich local history. in a lovingly restored and modernised high-Victorian gothic building. *My review here is just about the cafe*. The good feelings generated by the warmth of the welcome by the man at the museum's front door were trashed by the sullen and entirely unwelcoming service in the cafe: 15 minutes wait to be served, despite four staff and a queue infront of me when I arrived of just 6 people. (Staff focussed on tallking to each other rather than the clientele). There was soon quite a queue behind me, although few stayed the course! Nice cake, but cappuccino a sludgy frothless nothingness. Tables were grimy and loaded with previous diners detritus. I sincerely hope the tax payers of Exeter are not underwriting this indifferent and unpleasant little venture.
