Good tasting food and quick service. Nice open area in the back to sit down as well. However, it can be quite loud and busy during peak lunch hours. Overall, worth a visit.

After reading the menu and seeing the 'VG' symbol next to the jackfruit loaded mac and cheese I ordered this thinking it was vegan. When it arrived I was doubtful and asked the server if the cheese was indeed vegan, to which I was told 'Yes'. I didn't trust this so barely touched my food. Upon returning the following week, I spoke to some staff members behind the bar who confirmed that the mac and cheese cannot be made vegan. So not only was the menu misleading, the waitress also gave me false information. Very disappointed indeed. There are other vegan options but these are extremely lacklustre. Honestly very disappointed.

The food was lovely but the service was poor. Staff insist on using an app, even at this stage of the pandemic. This would be okay if the app was easy to use, but it is not. It is terribly designed and when my details weren't working I was told I need to prove this in order to get served at the bar, and had to do so twice - to a waitress and then to a lady behind the bar. There were plenty of staff members in there, so I can't understand why they couldn't take orders behind the bar. On top of this, my San Miguel was not even brought to the table (as I was told they were changing the barrel, so assumed it would be brought over), I was instead told to go and fetch it myself.

My daughter and I visited whilst staying at the university, very friendly staff, food was very good..very nice burger, glass of wine acceptable..my daughter loved her meal..all was very good, close to our room within the Uni so suited us very well. Also gave my daughter an idea of what was available , should she attend this university, thank you

We had a really good time. The food was great. The chips were crisp. The atmosphere was fun and the price was right for a small family. Even though there were tons of students.

Great atmosphere. Known for it's curly fries which at times can be too hard / over done. I like the place but my chicken wings to so hard that I could not eat them.

I was in a hurry and decided to grab a quick meal but did not have time to send it back (though I really should have) the chilli was lukewarm and the chips tasted very odd. It was not enjoyable but I was in a rush and hadn’t eaten all day. If I hadn’t been in such a rush I would 100% sent it away.

You're not really an Exeter student if Ram isn't your go to place, or so they said. Ram has indeed been my go-to breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks place since my first year. Their dishes are affordable, and the restaurant itself is comfortable for eating, chilling, even studying.

By far the best breakfast available on Streatham campus. Swapping out the mushrooms for an extra egg would be a wise move! Decor though is a bit dated and the tables...must have been uncleaned sticky unwanted Wetherspoon ones. Majority of staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a few that obviously hate the job. I would say if you don't like working with people don't get a customer facing job. In summary, better than the terrace upstairs.

Went into this student bar when we turned up for a concert. Young student recommended it. Thought we were going to be the oldest but it was a mixture of ages. Food and drink was very reasonable. Food was very good for pub grub. We had a few drinks and then went to the concert. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean.

De los mejores sitios que he visitado para comer cuando estaba en la Universidad de Exeter. Comida sabrosa y buenas bebidas.

Come here often with friends as part of the university, it's a great place for food and also for sports screenings/social events. Food is of a good standard and very reasonably priced, decor is nice. This is a very popular place, so be prepared to queue for a seat at busy times.

The food is unhealthy and poor quality. The Ram Ale has an unattractive after taste. Poor provision for vegans and gluten free folk. Alcohol is pushed by the pricing system. The decor is tired, the seats are uncomfortable and it is a dump.

Food is decent, the curly fries and nachos are the best. It is really cheap so you can't beat the price, especially on campus.

Oh dear, eating here does make you feel like Methusaleh...all around are beautiful young things (many nationalities, all joined at the ears and fingers to their mobiles) lucky enough to be studying (?), eating and drinking on this beautiful campus, and in this ridiculously cheap caff. For about four quid each, we attempted to polish off enormous platters of nachos, dolloped with blobs of fabulous soured cream, fresh guacamole and tomato salsa - all draped in about a quarter-pound of best Cheddar. The third one in our party enjoyed a spicy chilli with rice. We had to admit defeat on the full-belly front - and can only wish for the days when leftovers were fed to omnivorous porkers of the porcine variety. Hate leaving food uneaten, but the helpings at RAM are just a bit OTT for us mere humans. Not a bad problem, though.

Its a pub! A pub inside the main building of Exeter university! They have screens for football and some pool tables which are not so loud that they could annoy. Plenty of space for seating. Got a clever new refurnishment lately and offers a good variety of drinks and food, even a specially made Ram Ale and Cider. How cool's that?

We ate here during IVFDF at the uni, it was buzzing. Food was reasonably priced. I had chicken salad and it was fine, a friend had Greek salad, that was also good, but another had chicken goujons and chips, not much chicken, not many chipsEnjoyed the atmosphere.

Fourteen quid for three meals, two halves of lager and a sparkling water - all to the soundtrack of student banter (most of 'em joined at the lip - or ear - to smartie phones) and non-stop uni-TV-rock on a loop. Fourteen quid. You'd get about four chips for that in one of the Padstein establishments next door in Cornwall. So. Terrific value. And a buzzy, clattery, tower-of-Babel atmosphere. The three of us pushed up the average age of the clientele by a few decades, but, hey, we're young at heart. And the food? My friends (including a Frenchwoman, a discerning diner, mais oui) had plates piled high with chilli con carne and rice, and a mountain of tortilla chips with dirty great dollops of sour cream, fresh guacamole and zingy tomato salsa. I slummed it with a plastic basket of scampi and chips. Loved it all. The Ram Bar sits lively and cool in the gorgeous setting of the updated Exeter campus, a shining example of what modern architecture can achieve with glass and wood, trees, terraces, and imagination. All this a prelude to a mind-blowing performance at the University Great Hall of Bruckner's mighty seventh by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (where, actually, we three lowered the average age by a few decades).
