Well, three stars is generous as far as the food, decor and ambiance are concerned, but the owner is so gentle and enthusiastic that two stars seems a bit mean. If the internet was working and we had read some of the reviews we wouldn’t have gone. As it is we waded though the chunks of onion that accompanied the popadoms, the salmon that tasted dry and too fishy for its own good, the sag paneer, bizarre for its lack of cheese. Worse of all was the doughy disc of supposed garlic nan so poor. Best thing was the kind prawn delight, hardly a delight but pretty good all the same.

Very, very sad to see how standards have dropped and the restaurant declined since my last visit two and half years ago. Its a shame as the brothers who run the restaurant are very likeable and work hard. Come on Rajpooth get back to the glory days !

I have walked past the Rajpooth many times, and if its not empty, then only a couple of tables are ever occupied. So how does it survive? I can only imagine it makes most of its money from takeaways. So it was high time I tried it out for myself. It was a Friday night, and most of the other restaurants in the area were heaving. But not the Raipooth, I was the only customer. There was only one member of staff, but he was friendly and knowledgeable . I had the Chicken Korai. with pilau rice, and a garlic nan. washed down with a Cobra Beer. The food was not exceptional, but at the same time perfectly edible. I hate crowded and noisy restaurants. But having no other customers, made the place seem soulless and lacking atmosphere.

We arrived in the restaurant, where two people were sitting with drinks at a table, and waited for someone to show us to our table. And we waited ... and waited ... There were cooking-type noises coming out of the kitchen but no staff at all in the restaurant. So eventually, after what seemed like an age, we left. What a strange place this is! Is it staffed by just one person? I won't be going back there and I suggest you don't go either.

We booked a table via Online Chef The notification didn't arrive as checked when we entered the premises. There were 9 of us and it took no time to arrange tables etc. From this point on everything was great. We all had a £10.50 buffet that we didn't realise was available It was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was quite empty. All meals were great for all of us dining. The kids could order what ever they wanted even off menu. Very hospitable staff and courteous and conscientious. I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the food. It's not a place to go to if you want a speedy meal then leave. It's more of a space to chat, relax and eat. I wouldn't hesitate going again I later found out that it is much better to order direct from the restaurant rather than through an online third party site (as per booking the table)

We have had a take away from here several times and had loved the food. We decided to eat in for a change. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I had mixed grill bhuna for my main and chicken chat as a starter. My son had prawn puree followed by lamb madras. All was really good. We didn't have room for a dessert. Very good value as well. Thoroughly recommend.

Thought we would try the takeaway at Rajpooth. Had a very tasty Tikka Lamb Madras, with coconut rice, and chicken Pasanda. Good flavours, and good quality lamb. Nice level of heat with the madras. We appreciated the complementary poppadoms. Very warm greeting. Good value for money. Looking forward to being able to eat in.

Ordered a takeaway from here for first time and will be the last. The onion bhajee was over cooked and the puree bread was hard and chewy and the nan bread was like a slice toast. My advice is avoid this place

I'm a northern curry muncher who's been lucky to have eaten authentic food with famalies, I tend to be a little choosy when eating out. These guys do it, and do it well. Great food, sharp service, and they're nice guys too. I'm always surprised the place is so quiet. Try them folks, you'll not be disappointed.

This was the second time I've eaten here, I wasn't impressed the first time but friends wanted to go so I relented. Friendly welcome, plenty of choice on the menu but again poor quality. Chicken tikka very dry and not served at a high enough temperature, Bombay potatoes were only just cooked, still slightly hard inside, Peshwari naan was dry and crispy on the outside. In deference to my friends I didn't complain but I should have, but I think this is the standard for this place.

I visited this restaurant with my mum on Saturday night, being our second visit since new management took over. We couldn't fault anything - the food was interesting and came in good sized portions and the staff were lovely and welcoming. We are also vegans and they cater very well for us! We've tried all the Indian restaurants in Worthing and we find this to be the best! Would highly recommend and we will be coming back.

We've been here a few times and the food has been delicious. We've had deliveries too and it always turns up piping hot. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Last night I had the chicken phaal, nice and hot but not powdery like other places serve it. There's so much to choose from and I'm already thinking of which curry to try next time!

Been here twice now, first time for takeaway and then last night to sit down. Food is very, very good with plenty to choose from on the menu. Service for us was fine and the staff were friendly. But back to the food, both times it really has been that good and others in the group were also very impressed. This place is miles ahead of other places in the town. Will definitely be going back.

Just ordered a takeaway from here, after seeing and speaking to the chef, Raj, in the town. Food arrived on time and piping hot. Had the lamb Korai and Aloo Gobi, both dishes tasted great. Husband had chicken Pathia, again very nicely spiced, he also had the Mr Naga special! He likes his chillies! We were very impressed with the food and delivery service and will certainly be ordering again from this curry house.

Went here for a 60th Birthday celebration on Saturday night - we had pre-ordered food and paid a deposit but what a disappointment. Service was appalling - didn't seem to know what they were doing...food was lukewarm and tasteless when it eventually arrived....some had their main dishes but no rice....part of my order didn't arrive at all but I am sure it was probably included on the bill....not that we actually saw one with everything itemised!! No-one came to check if our meals were OK...probably because they knew what the answer would be. 60 poppodums were ordered...may have seen 30 if that and the dips were so scarce....one tray between a table of 10!! We were there for 3 hours in total...my main course was chicken Malaya - there was no pineapple in it and the chicken was tough so I had to leave some of it. The quality of the food and service were so bad they should have given us the food for free....other tables were leaving the restaurant. I cannot understand the positive reviews on here. Not a place I will be returning to

Went to this restaurant on Saturday 30th March for a birthday celebration and even though we had given the restaurant our choices of meals they didn’t have a clue with what they were doing. Drinks were slow coming, rice dishes came 20 minutes before curry, all food was cold the waiters didn’t have a clue what was going on and how the manager produced a total amount I will never know. Some of us didn’t even get the total meal we had ordered, so how he charged us I will never know. This was all done on a scrappy piece of paper and a printed bill was never produced.

Worse meal ever, could not eat it, waited an hour for drinks to be served then another hour before food arrived, service was appalling, got hit on head by waiter leaning over Table!!! If they cannot cope with large parties they shouldn't take bookings, meals had been pre booked and still got it wrong!!! Never again

The Worst meal out I have ever had! Took a hour to get served with our 1st drink & 2hrs later to have our pre-booked meals served to us on Cold Plates, & that's all of us having No Starter! My partner & I were forgotten ref our meals, & we had to ask manager for our pre-booked food!! Even then the passanda had no taste, no spices or almonds, Bland!! Basil Fawlty Hotel could serve better food than here, & I have eaten better curries at ASDA, Sainsbury's & Tesco stores!! 2 X tables of 4 people walked out whilst we were there waiting!! Stay clear of this So Called Indian Restaurant A complete Joke!!

As a newly opened Indian restaurant in Worthing, we thought we would give it a try, and we were not disappointed. Friendly and helpful service in a nice atmosphere. The menu is interestingly different, and the quality was very good. We will give the Banquet, served Sunday to Tuesday, a try next time which looks to be good value.
