Jafran in Worthing

I got a terrible experience. Price too high. Service not good. Stuff needs to know how to behave with a customer.

Pensamos en probar algún sitio nuevo y fui con mis amigos. Ojalá que no habíamos hecho.El servicio era frío y lento, esperamos más de una hora para nuestros platos principales para llegar y la comida le faltaba sabor, las especias y en el mejor era mediocre.Hay restaurantes indios mucho mejor en Worthing - Usted realmente necesita a jafran tu juego.

Estado aquí antes y de memoria, estaba bien, pero en la noche del miércoles en el restaurante vacío el servicio era exageradamente lento. El camarero era un poco agobiante para intentar llegar a pedir más y platos secundarios. poppadoms La comida estaba bien, nada especial, pero la presentación fue abismal. Cuando finalmente salió nuestras cervezas el camarero explicó que sólo tenían una botella grande, así que nos dio 1 grandes y 2 pequeñas botellas y señaló que tanto comparadas a una pinta, pero nos cobraron 4 libras para las grandes y 6 libras para los más pequeños. Volver a Nooris de ahora en adelante.

La comida estaba bien, pero yo no puedo decir que ha sido mi favorito de la India. El servicio era muy lento en un viernes por la noche, pero para ser justos estaban bastante llenos. Me quedaría aquí de nuevo simplemente porque es local y sería ideal si quería salir para un indio, pero si probé una mejor entonces yo más probable es que no volvería. Era bastante buena relación calidad-precio por lo que recibimos. Aunque está en una calle principal, una vez dentro parece bastante tranquilo, pero evita estar en medio como el aire acondicionado puede ser bastante frío después de un rato.

Fuimos a este restaurante la semana pasada, ya que hemos estado antes y han dicho muchos platos son sin gluten que llevamos nuestro propio gluten popadoms como estos, por desgracia, no son, y le pregunté antes de estábamos sentados, si esto estaría bien. Nuestra encantadora camarera nos dijo sí y por desgracia ella consiguió este equivocado que significaba ella consiguió despedido (unos 10 minutos más tarde). Tras ordenar nuestra comida llegó el director en nuestra mesa y nos berated popadoms de llevar nuestro propio!!!! Esto se tradujo en un pedido a ser nosotros en la forma más grosera. El gerente luego ir a regañar a otros miembros del personal que fueron claramente avergonzada por su comportamiento y vino a disculparse. Nos pidieron que prisa y dejar mientras bebiendo bebidas previamente ordenados, punto en el que la camarera encantadora fue forzada a abandonar. Nunca he experimentado tan ridículo, inmadura y desconsiderado el comportamiento en cualquier lugar antes y por lo tanto no recomendaría este restaurante a las personas que se preocupan por el buen servicio y el buen trato de los empleados. También estoy bastante seguro de que si no tienes ninguna discapacidad que no discriminada. Yo personalmente creo que en este día y edad, comportamiento no tenían educación es desastroso. Nunca regresaré.

Me encanta la bienvenida que recibe del personal. El menú es variado y el curry especial Jafran es mi favorito, con un poco de pollo, carne y gambas en un medio plato picante. 4 de nosotros tuvimos los platos principales, arroz, pan, 2 lados, bebidas y poppadums y la factura era 60 libras. El servicio fue excelente, aunque el lugar estaba muy lleno y hay un toque agradable en el restaurante. Gran lugar para una comida en familia.

Llevamos sin gluten papadums con nosotros como antes hemos estado muy enfermo aquí antes y la última vez que vinimos el gerente dijo que estaba bien llevar nuestras propias. Pedimos un miembro del personal si estaba bien llevar y ella dijo sí. Luego el gerente comenzó en nosotros, él era muy grosero y horrible a todo su personal y muy ofensivos.El personal era fantástico y fueron muy amables con nosotros. Nos hizo llorar y su personal era tan grosero de algo que podría haber sido fácilmente resuelto.Nunca volveremos de nuevo. Asqueroso comportamiento de un gerente

Average curry, onion bahji were not fresh dry and reheated, shame. Had a special curry and it was just average. Friendly staff. It was a quiet weekday evening so expected more.

Super customer service from the management, very polite. The food - starters and main came out quickly and tasted lovely. Cobra on tap instead of bottles added bonus. Just great. Recommended. :)

A family run restaurant, that always makes you feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable and the food is fantastic. We have never been disappointed and we've been there quite a few times now, even with big groups to celebrate birthdays.

Had a nice meal here early on a Sunday evening, our table of seven enjoyed the good service, the owner is exceptionally welcoming. My meal was tasty and the portion size was just right, very good naan bread too. Food and drinks all reasonably priced. Clean and comfortable restaurant. I would certainly return.

We thought we'd try somewhere different and were very pleased that we came here. We'd booked on a busy Friday night and settled down to peruse the menu. When trying somewhere new I guage their quality by choosing my favourite Chicken Tikka Dhansak along with Sag Aloo, Lemon Rice and Chapattis. This was up amongst the best I've had. There were little flavour explosions from time to time and I cleared my plate. The portions weren't huge but more than adequate and the lovely food was washed down with a good pint of Cobra. All in all it was an excellent meal at a reasonable price.

The restaurant was busy for early on Saturday night, nevertheless, the service was prompt and friendly. There is a good selection of dishes, including many that are familiar to most people. The food was flavoursome and without some of the excess oil that sometimes makes restaurant food so fattening and indigestible.

Good quality food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price. This was our first visit to this restaurant and it certainly won't be our last.

Without a prior booking, 11 of us descended on the Jafran and had the whole restaurant to ourselves, not a soul there. Would this be good or a bad sign? Whilst the waiter wasn't unfriendly he certainly gained no bonus points on the I'm really pleased to serve you score. The 'deal' they advertise is certainly nothing to get excited about, quite misleading to get you in to be shown a different menu with many favourites missing, in fact the deal is pointless. As to the food, it was generally ok, nothing to crave another visit to this place. Sauces a little thin in texture and many looked and tasted the same. Overall an empty restaurant probably does tell its own story, in this case we saw the warning signs, gave it a chance but will not be going back. I doubt this place will be there in 12 months time with this current set up, probably looking at another coffee shop instead.

The staff at Jafran's were very attentive ad helpful. The service a good, not had to wait long for our food, which was very tasty

Highly recommend this restuarant. Good choice of menu and large vegetarian selection. You can eat at leisure and the staff are courteous and friendly. Try the lemon rice!

just had a takeaway from this restaurant and the food was absolutely rubbish, completely tasteless and I would never go back again ,I have ate Indian all over the place and consider myself a connoisseur on the food as I eat this probably 3 times a week ,do not waste your time or money visiting here,absolutely terrible

Without any doubt, the best Indian Restaurant in the area. Have been there several times and will be visiting on more occasions. It's so nice to enjoy the flavours of something new, something that only the Jafran can offer. Great venue, friendly staff, super service, amazing quality food, excellent experience - recommended any day of the week. Staff welcome you with a smile which remains until your departure. Excellent value for the money paid.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Küche war gut bis sehr gut. Bei der gemischten Vorspeise war der Fleischanteil eher klein gehalten. Der Hauptgang war Am Anfang zu europäisch gewürzt. Nach Rücksprache wurde die Schärfe angepasst! Sehr gut!

I've been here many times and tried many things on the menu and have loved them all but I have to say my favourite is the fish satkora which I have had many times and will have many more times Great restaurant with very friendly staff and could not recommend this place highly enough

As pat of my birthday, I took the family here as I've been here before with colleagues from work and had a lovely time. The food was lovely, with the greatest tasting naan bread I've ever had, really light and fluffy. The chicken monsoon dish is recommended which has a combination of Indian and Chinese tastes to it, and traditionals like a chicken korma is always a firm favourite.Drinks were reasonable prices and overall, it was very good value. The service was excellent and well worth the wait for the preparation of the food. I would recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

Always good food and service. All my friends that we take to the Jafran alway say that the really enjoy the food. I would also like to say that the owner is very generous and a superb host.

We were looking forward to our takeaway after reading such good reviews about this restaurant but were very disappointed with the result. We spent over £30 on this adventure and could not eat all of it because the salt content was overwhelming. I am a person who piles on salt on most of my meals which upsets my wife but not even I could cope with the amount of salt in the food. I do not write reviews but felt I had to so the owners of this restaurant can improve on their recipes for the future. Such a shame as it was for my wife's birthday treat lol.

This was our first visit although we had heard very good reports of this restaurant.We were a group of nine and we were made to feel very welcome by the owner who was very friendly and attentive.The food was delicious and everyone was pleased with there choices. Portion size was spot on and we will defiantly be going again.

Have tried a lot of Indian takeaways recently, but this is by far the best. Very friendly person taking the order, prompt delivery by a very friendly driver, then fantastic quality food. Definitely recommend trying it, you will not be disappointed, I look forward to trying the restaurant out soon.

Having tried many Indian restaurants this is our restaurant of choice. We have travelled to India often and love the food. The Jafran never disappoints- the staff are wonderful and we always come away happy, feeling better about the world after a chat with Mr Ali and his son. Lovely!

Thought we would try somewhere new and fancied a curry. Not been here before but seen a couple opf good reviews. Very friendly and good food. Relaxing atmosphere. Parking close by.

Disappointing visit as this restaurant gets such good reviews, so we thought it would be excellent, Lovely staff and very lively atmosphere but the food is not well presented and really more of a flavoured casserole than a curry. I'd asked for a medium to hot dish, but it really was devoid of any spicy heat whatsoever and contained not a lot chicken, and far more potato. My partners balti was unremarkable and again not what you'd expect. My idea of a curry house is Southall, Brick \Lane and restaurants like the India Gate in Arundel, sadly the Jafran did not suit our tastes....

We ate here a few Fridays ago with friends who had already been to this restaurant previously. We have a favourite Indian restaurant so were interested in how this one compared, and we weren't disappointed. The lovely owner came to our table to take our order and helped me choose a dish. The food seemed more authentic than I have had at other restaurants and was very tasty. Overall great food, great staff and great atmosphere!

New Years eve and they were very busy, but they still were able to provide faultless service, and one of the best Indian meals we have had

The flavours of the curries were delicious, but my partner and I both suffered horrid cramps and stomach upsets, which were particularly worrying as I am pregnant. The meat was tough, the aubergine dish was very odd - more like pickled aubergine - and there were no bonus poppadoms. It's a real shame this was such a bad experience as the taste of the curries were very promising.

Great food, brilliant service, charming atmosphere and overall a lovely dining experience. Me and my partner decided to go here for our first anniversary dinner and it made the night so much more enjoyable than it already was. We consider this our go-to Indian restaraunt now.

Me and my husband went to Jafran recently and I must say that we both loved the food, the atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. Being an Indian myself, from all the Indian restaurants that I have been to, I recommend Jafran. I will surely go back again.

We recently switched to Jafran from another local curry restaurant because we'd become unhappy. We're so glad we switched - the food at Jafran is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and helpful and deliveries are always fast.We've tried most of the Worthing curry restaurants and can happily say Jafran are now our first choice every time!

Being Indian, i need a good Indian restaurant. I love it here, the chicken bhuna is lovely I ask them to make it Like home food and they do. Every delivery has been fab. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful meal at Jafrans this week. Food was excellent and everything you would expect in an Indian restaurant. The staff are so helpful, kind and bend over backwards to ensure their customers are happy.

Dined here Friday night. So pleased to have found it. We have tried many Indian restaurants in the Worthing area and we can say without doubt this is the best. A very enjoyable dining experience with excellent customer service. Will definitely be going back.

This is one of our local Indian restaurants, and is one of the best I have used, ever. Had a lovely meal yesterday. Staff are well turned out, and friendly, without being pushy. The restaurants specials are interesting, and the standard Indian fare is well cooked and tasty. We will continue to return and enjoy their service.

We have been several times over the last few months, every time we have received a very friendly welcome form the staff, the food has never failed on quality, very tasty and I would highly recommend a visit.

Whilst eating at the Jafran last Wednesday evening we heard that the Environmental Health inspector was there, having paid a surprised visit. She awarded the restaurant 5 stars. Well done. The food is always first class, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We have had meals and birthday and retirement celebrations there over the years and all have been first class

I have been to the Jafran a few times now on separate occasions all with friends. Its possibly my favourite curry in worthing and definitely my favourite place to dine for a curry, the atmosphere is always electric, the staff are great and we always get exceptional customer service. The location is fantastic as it is situated smack bang in the middle of 2 pubs especially if your looking for a drink after i would definitely check it out if your out for a curry.

Went for a cheeky midweek curry with my husband. Jafran had it all, good food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere.We will definitely be going back.

We do not go out as often as we like but we are never disappointed when we go to the Jafran with the quality and taste of the food. My 5 and 10 year old daughters also enjoy the experience and I cannot fault the service. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Good friendly service as usual, very tasty curry in a relaxing restaurant. We chose king prawn sag, chicken Jalfry and a lamb Jafran special, all very well spiced and cooked.

We have been eating at Jafran and using their takeaway service now for a few years. We always have a great meal there. The service is very good and the staff often remember what our favourite dishes are. The menu is very comprehensive and the food served is well-presented, tasty and never greasy or fatty. The meat is nice and tender. I especially like the Birianis and the Balti dishes. We wouldn't eat Indian from anywhere else in Worthing. When it was my birthday, I had pre-booked 25 guests there for a special dinner and the staff couldn't have worked harder to ensure we all had a wonderful meal and an enjoyable evening.

I popped in for a quick meal one evening after checking a few reviews on this site. I'm afraid I was distinctly under-impressed. I've tasted better from Sainsburys! I had the Malayan chicken, a mild curry in a 'sauce with pineapple'. The rather thin sauce was tasteless and the large number of nearly raw pineapple pieces outnumbered the chicken. That being said, the pilau rice and bhajis were nice and fresh. Maybe I just picked the wrong dish, but on this showing I wouldn't rush back or recommend to a friend. Sorry.

Ate with collegues. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Serve low alcohol cobra which I like. Restaurant is on Broadwater High street with on street parking within walking distance. Typical indian restaurant ambience. Lots of choice and everyone enjoyed the food. I had Darjeeling Chicken which was sweet and delicious. I don't normally eat out around here but if I get chance I will be back.

i had some of my best meals here; 7/10 times their meals are excellent and rarely disappointing; mostly very very good; their chicken tikka bhuna is excellent!! Littan and Mr Ali are very friendly to us and other customers!!

We have been to the Jafran quite a few times and our meal tonight was really delicious! We have tried out many curry houses and this one is very good. All the dishes were really tasty but I particularly love their chicken dhansak. It is the best around!

Did not fancy venturing down in Worthing town so tried Jaran in Broadwater for a Birthday meal with friends. was not disappointed with my decision! The food was delicious and good value, the staff were friendly and efficient. As with many Indian places there was so much choice on the menu that a repeat visit is required! The only minor criticism is that the seating was very close together - OK we had a table for 9 but it just felt a bit cramped.Overall though I would recommend heartily.

We are a family of four, and have been going to Jafan for a number of years and never been disappointed. The staff are very attentive and helpful if you fancy a change from the norm. The owner is a real gentleman and very welcoming to customers. The food is good value without cutting any corners with the standard. You are never rushed unlike others, and go away feeling full and relaxed. Always reliable

Having recently moved into this part of town we ventured into Broadwater to find a new,walkable curry house. We have been devotees of a great place in town for 8 yrs but fancied a change. Arrived Friday at 7:15, did not book but being early we got a table,good job too as by 8 there was not a spare seat (always a good sign). Staff friendly and fairly prompt, menu looks unremarkable as its plastic like in a burger joint, I'm not a snob but hey...anyway,food was plentiful with bags of flavour but drinks were a bit pricey. We will be going again, & have taken the take out menu for good measure!!

I've been going here since it opened and everything is always superb. They do the best Madras and Sag paneer ever. Superb friendly staff too.

I live on the borders of Dorset in the New Forest but visit Worthing regularly to visit my elderly Father. My husband have tried most curry houses in Wothing and rate Jafran as the best. The food is consistently superb, the staff are polite and very friendly. I never leave Worthing without picking up a take away. I wonder if I hold the record for distance travelled to get a take away? 160 miles to pick up a favourite curry.! I recommend Jafran to anyone one.

This was our second visit this year whilst visiting family who live in Worthing. One of the few Indian Restaurants that serve fish curry. On this visit we ate tandoori king prawns as a starter - could not fault them - and various duck, chicken and fish dishes for the main course. The service is helpful and attentive and their beers and wine compare favourably in price with some other restaurants. The ambience most enjoyable. A definite return visit on our next trip to Worthing.

Arrived with friends around 20.00 and shown to table. Waiter came to us chewing gum which was a bit off putting and shoved the menus in our hand. After waiting quite a while for our food, when it came some of the food was cold so we complained. The owner who was behind the bar came over and instead of helping, started being abusive. Not a place I would return to - especially when there are far superior places close by

I visited on a Friday night with 2 friends for a catch-up meal out. We booked for 8pm and the restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived. There seemed a number of regulars eating there which is always a good sign. The staff were attentive and happy to leave us pondering the extensive menu. The food was delivered in good time and all three of us enjoyed our meals very much. Prices were competitve against other Indians we visit and would definitely eat there again. The only slight criticism is that the tables are quite close to each other and it was slightly difficult to hear each other during conversation, but all in all - yummy!

We read the rave reviews for this restaurant and decided that we could walk there in 20 minutes.So, we left home at about 6pm and got there at about 6.20 on a Friday. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were given a table by the very polite and well presented staff.It all went downhill from there. We ordered drinks, which took about 20 minutes to be bought out to us, by this time the resaurant was filling up fast and we were keen to get our order in. We twice asked for our order to be taken before someone finally bothered.We did not have a starter, just poppadoms and a main.By the time it arrived, we had been in the restaurant for about an hour - way too long in my opinion, for a single course curry, especially considering that the place was empty when we arrived.We had ordered 2 different chicken dishes and a vegetable side dish.All three dishes had a sauce which looked the same and tasted very similar. There was not much meat to be found, and the overpowering taste of all three dishes was SALT. In fact, we refused to eat the vegetable dish because it was so salty.When we pointed this out to the waiter, he explained that the dish was made up of vegetables and onions, and that one of those two must be salty!!!!!To be fair, another waiter came over and apologised and removed the charge for the veg. Next time, I'll go somewhere better, it just means that I have to drive.

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant. Das Essen war einfach ausgezeichnet. Die Bedienung sehr nett und sogar lustig. Hatten eine Reservierung allerdings war unser Tisch direkt unter der Klimaanlage was unmoeglich kalt war. Wir haben dann um einen anderen Tisch gebeten und haben uns an die Seite gesetzt da dort ein Tisch frei wurde.Nach dem kleinen anfaenglichen Hicks hatten wir allerdings einen wunderschoenen Abend. Der Inhaber hat uns willkommen heissen und die Bedienung war wirklich sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.Das Essen ist vom feinsten und man merkt dass die Zutaten frisch und von guter Qualitaet sind. Ich liebe Indisch Essen und kenne mich aus! Das Peshwaari Naan war das beste das ich je hatte. Wirklich lecker.Gerne wieder falls ich wieder in Worthing sein sollte!

Das Jafran ist ein sehr gutes asiatisches Restaurant in Worthing. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Kellner erklären auch gerne die Gerichte und geben Hinweise wie scharf das jeweilige Gericht gewürzt ist. Ein Kritikpunkt ist die eiskalte Klimaanlage wenn man im mittleren Bereich des Restaurants sitzt. Ansonsten toller Service und absolut weiterzuempfehlen.

I have been a customer of Koddus since he opened the restaurant. It is aways clean, the staff are welcoming and attentive, and there is a good selection of Jafran specialities to try.

As a familoy we have been coming to this restaurant for many years and have always found the staff to be polite,attentive and friendly. The food is always of a high standard with a good variety for all tastes. If you don't see what you usually like on the menu you can always ask the staff they are always helpful.

Been a few time now, and have never been disappointed, very good level of service, and food. But make your own atmosphere.

Having eaten at the jafran, I can say that I have never had a bad experience, the food has always been of excellent quality and they have a very very wide range of meals available. having gone in there only eating one type of dish, I now know that there are several dishes I can eat and love. Some people think indian food can be the same with no variety....go to the jafran and your mind will be changed.

I had a meal here and was extremely impressed. Not only was the food excellent, but the staff were so polite and friendly and made me feel very welcome and at home. The cost was impressively fair and the whole experience was very pleasant. Mr Ali and his son have done an impressive job!!

my family regularly eat at jafrans,individually,or seperately.We do this because we are assured of a regular standard of good food,and good service.We believe this is because Mr Ali or his son are allways in attendance,and regularly check with clientel that all is satisfactory.Surroundings and table settings have never to be found lacking.No hesitation in recommending.

Worthing has many restaurants, and many Indian restaurants amongst them. The Jafran, in Broadwater, to the north of the town, is conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle, and offers a high level of service and a wide selection of delicious food.Staff are friendly, without being pushy and, even on a quiet weekday evening, will not rush you or hurry you on to the next course. I visited with my partner and a couple of friends - both vegetarians - and we all found plenty on offer to whet our appetites. The Jafran Specials menu is superb value for money (I'd highly recommend the Amli Acharia, chicken cooked in a zesty oragne sauce) and there is enough on it to keep you going back again and again.One slight downside - and this is in no way limited to the Jafran (hence I have not dropped my rating) but is something I have found in the majority of Indian restaurants - is the range of bulk standard deserts.Overall, however, this is one of my favourite Indian restaurants, and I will definitely be returning!

The Jafran is a great restaurant - we are always welcomed with open arms but without the pressure sell you can get in other Indian restaurants. The food is always to a very high standard, especially the vegetable dishes, and there is a good selection of dishes available. Service is quick and friendly, and no request is out of the question. I had a birthday meal out for a friend at the Jafran and, being from Brighton, I had never eaten Indian food in Worthing before. I was very impressed! The waitors were welcoming and very attentive and the chefs clearly know their food.We had a fairly large group with a big order and the food was prepared quickly with excellent service. The meat dishes came with BIG chunks of succulent chicken (which I love!) and the interior is intimate enough for your table but with an overall pleasant evening atmosphere.Well worth trying.
