I ordered food to takeaway and was really disappointed by the standard of food, was expensive but didn’t mind paying until I realised how small the portions were for the price paid and also really didn’t taste so good either so won’t be back

Went with a group of friends, 1 guy tryna do everything, took ages to clear plates away, food was alright but the service wasn't.

Got to say I’ve sat in and now taken out and what fabulous fantastic food this is, staff are great nothing is any trouble

Very good food great customer service will definitely be coming back in the future think this is my new curry house no alcohol licence but your welcome to bring ur own no corkage charge ty Ali for the banter

We gave Rajpoot a try last weekend and we’re really glad we did. I rang through to order a takeaway and the person on the phone was really friendly and gave me some ideas of new dishes to try. We collected and the owner was really friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Darwen has a few choices when it comes to Indian takeaways, but we’re often left a bit disappointed... Rajpoot did not disappoint.

We visited here for my brother's Birthday in June. The staff were fantastic in helping with this, he even contacted me on the day to remind me about the cake. When we got there we had a lovely warm welcome and we brought our own wine which the staff were accommodating with, providing nice glasses and no corking fee - even pouring it for us. The food was delicious and there was plenty. We could not finish our meal there was so much so they packed it up for us to take away. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It is deceiving as it only looks small from the main road but very nice inside.

Came here for our Christmas do, and have no complaints food was great service was great lovely setting would definitely go back!! We have used the takeaway service and loved that too.

Small intimate restaurant serving fantastic Indian food .The whole family are involved in the restaurant giving a very pleasant friendly atmosphere. No licence but you can supply your own alcohol for a small corkage charge . Nothing us to much effort. Very reasonable price ,takeaway also available

Popadom - small commercially made from a packet onion bhajis - small commercially made biryani - not much spice/not much chicken lamb tikka - tough dried up meat with grissle peshwari nan bread - with bright pink filling - tough as old boots

Wanted a small place to celebrate 50 the birthday we did book room months ago for around 32 people but due to circumstances there ended up just 26 and kids ate free. We opted for buffet menu which was 10.95 but because we was taking the all. Room was asked to pay 15 a head. Happy to pay that buffet option extra food if needed ect and a pudding to usually jam rolly Polly. Happy with that until the day. First room was set up at all for us we ended up sorting it ourselves then before all guest arrived was asked for payment for the kids and the absent guest. So I wasn't happy after half hour the manager backed down and we only paid for the customers there. Starter came out not a problem then came the mains well say the least not enough to feed the group three small dishes of curry between 4 guest we asked for extra was told that was it . the manager was rude and had no idea how to cater for the group . pity we paid up front . then come the pudding one scoop of ice cream on hot plates . it was a joke . we paid over the odds for little food and bad service. We did write a review on his page and blocked our comments. If I was any one thinking of going here. I wouldn't . it ruined the day . and yes we went home hungry

Visited this place last night for the first time. What a little gem this is.. Food absolutely beautiful, price only marginally more expensive but literally a couple of quid and well worth the extra. Presentation, waiter service excellent. Be aware you need to take your own alcohol but no corkage charge and shop across sells alcohol in case you for forget.

There are plenty of places to buy curry from in Darwen but this one is certainly worth a try! Don't be put off because it doesn't have a licence. Take your own wine/beer etc. No corkage charge and they will bring you plenty of ice to keep your wine cold. I have been several times and always had good food. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and my only criticism is that the menu printed on brown paper is hard to read.... but then again you are not eating the menu! From the poppadums and accompliments, starters and curries all is good & hot and presented well. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

First visit and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and fresh, the service was friendly and helpful. We visited on a Sunday and chose to have the weekly buffet, which is served to your table. I believe the menu for this changes on a regular basis. There was plenty of food, and you are able to ask for more (within reason!). I would say it is more like a 'set menu' that what I would expect a buffet to be.

We enjoyed the food and the service would highly recommend. Large portion sizes we even took som home

We called in here just to try it as it has changed hands recently. Unfortunately I can’t recall the last time we had such bad food. It’s not just me neither, there were 10 of us in our party, and we were all of the same opinion. Several issues with the food, not just a couple of issues. And I think it says it all when you go to use the loo... as soon as you leave the restaurant area.. all is revealed. It’s such a shame, when so much is money is invested in a place and they get the basics so wrong!

We ate here last Saturday for the first time following the recommendation of a friend. The menu is very extensive but reasonably priced. The food was exceptional and the staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The policy of bringing your own alcoholic drinks makes for a much smaller bill but soft drinks are available. Unusually, the range of English dishes is very good, so if you are "cursed" with someone who won't eat Indian food, they are very well catered for. This restaurant is well worth visiting if you haven't already tried it.

Ordered a takeaway of meat combos, keema Madras, lamb arge bargie, keema rice and mushroom rice and all were delicious, the lamb chops were amazing in the starter and the curries were really tasty and just the right amount of heat. All the food was really fresh and plentiful. Will definately be back.

been going here once a week for the last 20 weeks becauce it is so good dont want to recommend any particular meals because they are all very good and the price is cheap but excellent almost a good has going to a indians house thanks again rhino this is a pet name for raj

Lovely Sunday buffet! Friendly service and the food was delicious! Can have as much food as you want at the buffet and it’s all nice. Will be returning :)

Another excellent meal at Rajpoot coupled with friendly attentive service from Raj himself. Raj can’t do enough for his customers, the portion size is very good and the food itself tasty, I had lamb chops to start followed by gorkali chicken and my wife had chicken tikka biryani , whilst I ate everything my wife couldn’t finish the biryani as there was too much. The chicken in both dishes was tender and the sauce with the gorkali chicken was very nice but had a sting in its tail, leaving me very warm, sweating and asking for more water! Along with the excellent food it was also very good value for money and you get Raj’s welcoming hospitality.

Me and my boyfriend come here a lot. The food is always perfection!!! Raj always goes above and beyond for all his customers, makes you feel so welcome, and the prices are spot on!! Plus you can take your own alcohol which saves you even more money. If you want an amazing Indian meal, Rajpoot is the place to go!!! Weather it's to eat in or takeaway, you won't be disappointed. I normally get chicken tikka puree to start and chicken tikka buhna for mains. My boyfriend gets all different things from seafood to tandoori mixed grills, everything we've ever had has been awesome. They also do a great Sunday buffet which is really cheap xx

Unbelievable food. We ordered a takeaway and the food was fresh and delicious. We had a seafood combo and veggie combo for starter and a vegetable rogan josh and chicken tikka garlic special for main. A decent amount of chicken in curry. Would definitely recommend rajpoot and will be dining in next time
