Ordered it to our lodge, cost £50 for what I would say was a basic microwave meal that I could’ve got from Tesco for £3. We weren’t expecting the greatest but I wasn’t expecting it to be that poor for the prices that they charge. The curries alone were £15 and I’d say microwave meals have more in them than that did along with better flavours. Overall a bit disappointing.

We visited on our last night during a 4 night stay at Whinfell Forest (2 adults and 1 toddler). We were greeted right away by the manager and shown to our table. Our waiter was over to us right away and was patient as we got our little boy settled. We were a bit apprehensive about our visit due to some of the negative reviews we had read, however we visited with an open mind. We ordered onion bhaji's and the kids onion bhaji lollipops for the wee one for starters. These came and were excellent - nice crispy batter with plenty of flavour and the mango sauce was refreshing and complimented the bhaji's well. For our mains we ordered the Chicken Tikka Massala and Chicken Korma with Plau rice and a peshwari nan bread and a chicken nuggets and chips for our son. Both curry's were nice, certainly not the best curries we have ever had, however we're nowhere near the "supermarket standard" that some folk have described them as. The wee ones Chicken nuggets were proper chicken breast and the peshwari nan bread was fresh and nice and sweet. The price is very steep, with one curry alone costing £16.95 (before having the option to add a portion of rice for a further £4.95) To drink we ordered a pint of Cobra (£7.50) and a pint of cola ( roughly £3.50-£4). Overall, it was an enjoyable meal to round of what was an excellent break, however it cost £86 all in which is steep!

Very disappointing. We have been visiting Centre Parcs for almost 20 years. This was Our first visit to Whinfell. On this occasion Rajinda Pradesh was hugely disappointing, The slow cooked lamb shank was very rubbery. Slow cooked lamb should fall off the bone, I couldn't get my knife through this. The taste of the sauce was good but the meat was not edible. The vegetable curry served with the biryani was so dry that is didn't add any sauce or moisture to the biryani dish. We were not asked during the meal if everything was OK, when the server came to collect the plates which were barely touched we did mention the problems. They just smiled and walked away. No apologies.

Oh my goodness - avoid like the plague!!! Awful, awful, food. Portions a joke - so small and nearly £25 for a curry and rice! We wondered why it was so quiet - now we know. What an absolute rip off! Tasteless food - save yourself a fortune and get a supermarket curry and re-heat it in your lodge. It will be far better than this bland mush! Naan breads tiny and worse than anything you get in a supermarket and poppadums more like tiny crisps - for £6!! We feel totally 'had.' Come on Centreparcs - this is unacceptable. We expect higher prices when dining on site but for this was beyond a joke.

I got the Crispy Onion Bhaji to start and my girlfriend got the Chicken Tikka (didn’t taste as such). We also shared the poppadum platter alongside our starters. As there are no prices on the online menu, you have no incline as to how much you will be paying for things when you get there. We nearly had a heart attack when we realised the curries were £17 each (that does not include rice/chips/naan - literally just the sauce and whichever meat you choose). We decided to share the one curry, as well as sharing the sides. The restaurant now add an automatic 7.5% tip to your bill, which we asked the waitress to remove. Overall, if we were to return to Whinfell Forest, we would not be returning to this restaurant due to value for money.

We were a table of 9 and straight away the staff were very accommodating and allocated a table of 9 for our split group of five plus four. We were looking forward to an authentic Indian, but were really disappointed with the food that was served. Both curries were without a doubt microwaved, one of the curries had 6 small chunks of lamb and were bland, tasteless and watery. We ordered the poppadom platter to start which were mini poppadoms which would equate to about 2 and charged over £6 for this. We also ordered a naan bread which was the smallest naan we’ve ever had. All in all we were very surprised when the bill came close to £80 when we only had one alcoholic drink each. We are always willing to pay premium prices for premium quality food however when we are paying this price for microwave food, we walked away feeling like we had been ripped off which is very disappointing. The only reason this wasn’t given a 1 star was due to the waitress being nice and attentive.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here, when staying at Center Parcs last year and so were keen to duplicate the experience, and we weren't disappointed. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic about the environment and the menu; and it is the menu that makes this place special, offering a spattering of dishes that will sound and feel familiar, but also many that, whilst authentic, are not usually seen on the typical Indian menu. With so much to delight, we ordered too much! But, at this time of year, there was no feeling of being rushed and we had also been seated at what, I presume, would normally be a table for four, meaning we had plenty of room for all the serving dishes. Service was friendly and professional. Food took a while to arrive, but we never mind that, as we hope it means that everything is being cooked fresh to order. We each had starters, a main with rice, two side dishes, two naans (the Peshwari naan is particularly good) and one beer and the bill came to £93 - not cheap by any means but, for us, this really was an experience and one of the highlights of our break.

I have eaten here on previous visits to center parcs. On those occasions I have found the food to be satisfactory only. However last night,30 Dec 23. The meal I had was the nicest I have had at an Indian restaurant in years. I had the chicken chilli balti and it was delicious, full of flavour. The rice was perfect and the naan one if yhe beat I've ever had. We also had the sharing platter to start and that was also delicious. My families meals were also devoured with gusto. Everyone enjoyed it. Yes it was a tad on the expensive side but we are at center larc after all and everything is. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Really disappointing meal here, and Centre Parcs do such a good job of misleading Customers that you are going to get an authentic Indian meal when in reality what you are getting is a Indian prepared using off the shelf ingredients from either bags or jars. You would get a better meal buying it in a box from M&S at a fraction of the cost. The only reason I gave this 2 Stars is because the Service couldn’t be faulted, and it wasn’t there fault that they were serving up such poor quality food, secondly and whilst it was as far from authentic Indian you could get the food wasn’t bad and was more than palatable. I think the only thing that didn’t come out of a Jar, Packet or Container the Naan bread which someone had went to the effort of trying to make and it was OK. Please don’t waste your money on this. Centre Parcs seriously need to book there ideas up where the Food is concerned across all of there outlets.

The biggest mistake I made was to read the reviews, and still give it the benefit of the doubt. This is by far and away the worst indian meal you will ever have. Unless you've been here before, then it will be the joint worst. I could bet every pound I have got (which isnt alot after spending 4 nights at centerparcs) that theres not 1 indian in that kitchen as the food is completely absent of flavour. The 1 star I have given is for presentation, which was deceiving! You sneaky swines! The tiny, sparsely populated restaurant should give you all the clues you need and the best part of the meal was the little chocolate you get with the Bill Please heed this warning, dont be like me, be smart.

My experience at the Indian curry house in Center Parcs Whinfell was disappointingly inauthentic. The flavors lacked the genuine essence of Indian cuisine, leaving me questioning the restaurant's commitment to authenticity. The curry seemed more like a generic attempt at Indian flavors, failing to capture the complexity and depth one expects. The ambiance, far from the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of an authentic curry house, felt sterile and lacking in character. To my dismay, the curry here paled in comparison to what I've tasted before—even expressing that I've had more flavorful curries cooked in a prison kettle. The lack of distinctive spices and genuine culinary finesse left me longing for a true taste of India, and unfortunately, this establishment fell short of delivering an authentic and satisfying dining experience.

We ordered food via Restaurant Runner, and as someone of Indian heritage I can safely say that this food does not resemble Indian food in any way whatsoever. Easily the worst "indian" meal I have ever had. The paneer tikka masala was literally massive chunks of uncooked paneer floating in watery sauce that did not resemble tikka masala in any way. The saag we ordered was not saag at all, it was so watery and more like a soup than anything that could be passed off as saag. The naans were tiny, about a third of the size a usual restaurant naan is, and the dhaal was literally a few overcooked lentils in what tasted like straight up tomato puree. I cannot emphasise enough how bad this meal was. What these guy were passing off as Indian food is actually an insult to Indian cuisine. Shocking that Centerparcs actually allow this type of rubbish to be sold to their customers. The meal cost around £60 and I can safely say I could have bought a far superior meal from an Indian takeaway for a third of that price. Totally flavourless rubbish. Wish I could give negative stars or zero stars.

Absolutely terrible, microwave meals but at the price of a restaurant. Staff were polite and attentive, however, the food was vastly below par for the price you’re paying. Onion bahji’s were burnt, naan bread was disappointing and the three curries we had (tikka masala, makhani and korma) were on par with a Tesco £3 ping meal but at 10x the cost. If you’re going on a break to Whinfell Center Parcs and fancy a curry, I’d recommend making the 15 minute trip into Penrith and looking there, even the curry from the Wetherspoons in town would be better than this.

Checked out the menu on line prior to booking and the selection was good and prices what you would expect at Centre Parcs. Seemed reasonable to discourage people doing a no show We were four adults and a two year old. Even managed to get chicken nuggets and chips for the two year old which you might not expect at an Indian restaurant The waiting staff were attentive and polite The meals came quickly and were super tasty In fact the food was so good that we chose to order a takeaway from the same place for dinner the following evening

We booked a table here, though it's ridiculously far to expensive!. The meal was great. We couldn't get another booking and ordered a take away instead for our last day of our holiday... An hour late and the food was NOTHING like what we where served before when we sat in. Food was cold, The rice was boiled to the death and likely could have been cooked better with house rice and the curries unfortunately had the consistancy of pee water and the taste of similar. Portion sizes would have fed a child at best with grand total of three bits of chicken!. Worst curry we have ever had! For a cost of £60 quid for a small take away, is day light robbery and we have only been able to log a form to a chat bot as no numbers are available to complain. Disgrace to do this to anyone, but likely something they have perfected over the years. Theifs who take advantage of families in my opinion.

We read the reviews on the day we were going for our meal and were worried as a lot of the reviews were negative, but decided to go anyway and were so glad we did. Ignore the bad reviews and go and enjoy your Indian. For our 2 1/2 year old daughter we ordered a kids Korma that came with rice and nan bread and she had milk and ice cream. The kids meal deal was £8.95. My husband and I ordered a chicken & lamb madras, tandoori chicken which came nan bread, rice and spicy chilli fries and a bottle of Prosecco. We pre-ordered from here, wish we read the reviews before, but a big company like center parcs we thought it would be spot on! First of all, we understand the prices are going to be expensive, however £5+ for 2 poppadoms!!! In all fairness our...

PLEASE do not order from here. To charge what they charge for the ‘curry’ they serve is quite simply insulting. Genuinely not up to the standard of supermarket ready meal. Quite confident it was microwaved. All six curries were awful, the naan breads were tiny...

No idea how Wesley is the manager here, he is the rudest person, let alone manager anyone has ever come across. We booked a table and he overbooked, couldn’t seat us and started swearing at us and calling us rude names saying to get out...

Really nice food and good choice. Better value for money than the on site chinese takeaway. Prompt delivery and great service to your lodge.

So firstly I came for a spa weekend. We went for a curry as a last resort as everywhere else was full. The curry it’s self was up there with the worst I’ve ever had, and for the two of us the bill was over...

Had a meal at Rajinda whilst staying at Centre Parcs. Really nice starter of poppadoms and dips followed by main course curries with peshwari naans, fantastic quality throughout with great service. Really couldn’t fault the meal in any way.

Ordered the poppadom platter, which was a massive portion, but unfortunately when the main dishes came it was the opposite. We paid £12 for vegetarian main courses which were small, predominantly sauce with a few veg thrown in. Staff attentive and friendly. Whole meal cost...

Does not even deserve a one star rating! Do NOT eat here. The food is shocking. Absolutely disgusting! We were served what tasted like reheated dishes of bolied chicken and tinned tomotoes, rice that look like sludge, (both the biriyani and boiled rice) stale poppadoms,...

Massive let down. Part of order missing, and literally 4 small pieces of chicken in the meal. AVAIOD. Very expensive for what you get, to be expected with a place like CP but the quantity is shocking!

Delivery was very quick and food was hot. Was starting to enjoy our meal but then was very disappointed. Curry was very watery and then to top it off we found a spider inbetween our poppadoms. Needless to say we didnt carry on with our meal. Not good.

Got a set mael for two. Ordered Saturday 21st September at 16:48, delivered at 17:07 allthough when ordering instructions were 55 mins wait time for delivery. On delivery it was obvious that the food had been reheated, most probably left overs from the previous day. I'm far from happy as this is supposed to be the best Curry house in Penrith. Once bitten twice shy. I will not be ordering again, everything went in the bin.

There was 16 of us out to dinner and they dealt with us brilliantly. Didn't keep us waiting, were very organised and managed to serve the food so we all ate together. Very pleasant staff, even Mr. Grumpy! The food was great and we had a lovely meal.

We pick up a takeaway most Fridays when we are in Penrith. We only order about half an hour before and it's always ready for collection - great service - gorgeous curries - chicken jalfrezi and king prawn achari are amazing and garlic bread is so fresh.
