Rajasthan Spice in Sheffield

The worst curry I’ve ever eaten, so tasteless even the rice was bland. Think the only thing I could taste was ghee! Ordered 2 different mains and both as bad as each other. The nann equally as poor.

What a joke the ordering process is. Ordered double checked come to pick up to find it’s wrong had to wait for them to correct didn’t keep the other food warm while fixing there mess up and charged extra to fix there own mistake.

We dropped in unannounced on a Saturday and they got us straight in. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful.

Parts of my order missing took ages for it to arrive

Very disappointed with our order. Food quality nowhere near as good as it used to be also an item was missing from our order which meant I had to ring them up. Item eventually arrived but it was cold. Will think twice before ordering from here again.

Takeaway chicken tikka masala, rice and naan bread. Amazing taste and hot on delivery. Will go here in future.

First time here and we had a lovely night, food was great and staff polite. Would definitely recommend, only put 4* for atmosphere as we were in early, I imagine on an evening it would be busy, however the food made up for it!

Ordered a prawn puree, chips, onion bhajis and popadoms. Puree was clock cold, so were the bhajis and some of the bits of onion were really sour. The chips were cooked through at all. And the popadoms were soaking wet 😂it was obviously from the condensation but why would you put them on top of the food. The food was clearly in the delivery bag which would explain the soggy popadoms and the cold food. Had to throw majority of it away, not happy :(

First takeaway since we moved here. Very poor quality. Colors all wrong in the curry. Mixed starter tiny. £35 to work out not to go there again.

I don’t have anything negative to say about Rajasthan Spice. The food is absolutely delicious and consistently good. I absolutely love the chicken saag. You can really tell that the food is prepared well using very good quality ingredients. The staff are great, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The take away food is also of excellent quality and always delivered as promised.

Probably the worst Indian I've ever had, tasted as if the meat was several days old, overpriced, low quality cuisine. When I went in to collect my order the place was empty, no customers big red flag. So bad my dog didn't want any of it. 1 star too much for this place.

Great curries, friendly staff, and you get large portions, one of our favourites.

Consistently Beautiful Food! The staff are helpful and friendly. The owners are brilliant! Quality food everytime! The Inkosi Pinotage house red wine is Beautiful. Reccomend to ALL!

Food awful. Both chicken dishes appeared, and tasted, to be re heated chicken. The tikka masala sauce was far too sweet. The chips were undercooked. The paswari naan was about half the usual size and tasted awful. Definately my last visit here.

Disappointing tonight. We had to ring up twice to chase up food which ended up being over an hour late. No apology first time we rang up, apologised 2nd time but no freebies to say sorry? Poor service. Food wasn’t as good as usual. Will be going elsewhere next time

We were looking for something a little different for Christmas Day Lunch, Rajasthan was doing a set menu for £30pp, with choice of 2 starers, or two mains (chicken/Lamb) with a rice & nan to share between two, plus a pudding. Food was cooked luverly, just fell of the bone! Luverly food and service. Will be back next year!

Had a really great takeaway from Rajasthan Spice. Ordered online and picked up - fresh and hot 5 minutes early. Great food.

Cannot fault this place, the staff are lovely, Food was beautiful, generous portions, I had the Jaipuri, absolutely delicious, onion bhaji to die for, only criticism i think they should put some yoghurt sauce with the bhaji, but its no biggy. Definitely will be going back. There is free parking at the far side of lidl. We will most definitely be going back.

The food was extremely tasty, generous portions and well presented. It was excellent value for money and very enjoyable. The ‘red sauce’ is lush.

Staff were accommodating and felt welcomed. Ordering was easily and assisted by the staff to suit our palate and allergies. Food was a delight to eat, well cooked, good presentation and decent portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Best curry in Northern sheff. In fact I'd argue it's better food than the posh ones on Eccy Road, which I've visited many times. They'll knock you up a homemade special if you ask them (not from menu) which has chicken, lamb mince, potatoes, chickpeas and peas in. Bleeding delicious and the garlic naan is really nice to mop up. The front of house fella is a right chatty lovely bloke and always makes you feel welcome. One point is prices have drifted a bit high. We don't have as many takeaways because the costs have gone up so much. I understand it is driven by food prices but they're coming down now and other restaurants such as Nandos and others have started reducing prices, it'd be a shame if smaller local ones didn't recognise this. Still decent value however.

Busy night. They shouldn't have taken our booking. I lost appetite and wasted 115 pounds. It took nearly an hour and a half to get the starter. Mine was cold. After another hour, when the food finally turned up I was past it. That's now 2 out of the last 3 visits that have been woeful. Disturbed.

Simply a 5 star. The food from this Indian is like no other around Stockbridge and surrounding areas. Everything is immaculate. I've been to many curry houses in my time and this one is up there with the very best. Also if you are ordering for delivery they are always on time and the food piping hot. PS their onion bargee's are to die for.

Husbands curry was more oil than sauce and my cheesy naan was just a warmed up naan with orange cheddar thrown on. Not like it usually is.

Waited over 2 hours for food for the food to never turn up by this time it was to late to get any food from anywhere else.

Ordered food to be delivered at 7.10pm. At 8.45pm I called them & was told it would be 10-15 minutes. We’ll see. They shouldn’t accept orders if they can’t do it.

Always enjoy their delicious vegetarian curries, starters and peshwari nans, whether eating in or collecting as a takeaway. Staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Ordered our takeaway at 6 pm at 8 pm. I rang wondering where it was the phone down on me as I was about to cancel at 9:15 pmThey delivered! Which was over three hours late, so I turned them away as we had already given up and eaten. A phone call wouldn’t have gone amiss saying they would be delivering late. Did we still want it?.also found black hair in food! Never again!

We have eaten there many times, the food has always been good. The customer service was disappointing, not very engaging with the customers. I think that it's changed hands. When We got bill we queried the price of the wine which was significantly higher than on the menu, we were then shown wine menus that had hand written notes on with prices increases. The menu that we ordered off did not have any such changes. We vote with our feet and will not be returning.

Very disappointed with tonight’s take away. Just short of £50, ordering was difficult, 3 small pieces of meat in the starter, poppadoms tinged brown and overcooked, lamb madras watery. Last two were excellent. Still tasty tonight but not for me again, sorry.

Place looks a little stark, furniture is not bad. Staff are pleasant. Food is OK, not spicy enough for my taste but perhaps we chose the wrong thing, although it did say medium. Good starters.

Dined in on Saturday evening and had a loooong wait, so-much-so the waiter skipped the starter and served us our mains! Curry was ok but the overall experience does not warrant a return visit.

Best indian ive had in many years! Food arrived 10 minuits earlier than expected, and to a campsite no less! Even the rice was steaming hot and the flavours in the dishes were fantastic, they also didnt skimp on the chilli :) Portion sizes were great and the delivery chap was really nice. My friend was also impressed and it is very difficult to impress them... would definately order from here again.

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ Ordered meal at around 6-30pm delivered after 7pm this evening which has caused illness of sickness and diarrhoea by 11-30pm for me and my partner. 100% caused by the food ordered!! They need to clean up their act!!! ,

One of my all time favourite Anglo-Indian restaurants. We frequently order from here and we go down to eat there from time to time, the guys that work there are always very friendly and the food is too quality. You're in for a good experience at Rajasthan Spice, in all the years they have never let me down. The 5 stars are well earned and I would have given them higher if I could, I was astounded to realise that I've never left a review for here after all the years I've known the place!

Usually really good food but disapointing tonight. Naan bread was cold tough and burnt. 1 of the onion bahjis looked like it was a week old and was so hard ,why would you send us that? Everything was cold, the only nice thing was the curry. We have used this place a few times and is usually really nice, but tonight was rubbish, really disappointed.

Ordered chicken tikka salli, this says garnished with fried potatoes and when it came it had carrots on not potatoes also my husband ordered a meal which included prawns but no prawns in it, no yoghurt sauce with mixed kebab or bhajis. Cost £40 - not impressed

My first visit won't be the last. We took a group of sixteen players and staff from Stocksbridge Park Steels football club ,the service was so organised and the food was very good can highly recommend.

Just had a chicken Roshni (not had this one before from here) and although I love the food from Rajasthan Spice, I have to say this was the very best curry I’ve ever had. Just a wonderful dish! Wow wow wow! I’m so happy you’re on my doorstep! Thanks Rajasthan - you’ve made my day !

I hate this restaurant. Too far from where I live!! Joking aside, we absolutely loved our meals, the curries were very tasty, nicely spiced and super fresh. Portions are massive, so don't be like us, don't over order! (but the onion bhajis were to die for, so I'd probably do it again)

Excellent meal. I had lamb desi whilst my wife had the Rajistan special. Both were equally good.

Nice food, really pleasant staff. Sometimes very busy so worth ordering in advance if wanting take out and checking your order is ready before setting off to collect. That said, is still our go-to local curry house.

We ordered our take away & was told it would be ready in 40 to 30 minutes! They never told us it was cash only so I turned up to pay by card, I didn't have cash, who carries cash these days, I was told to go & try the atm, it was out of order, so were the other two in the village, not their fault, but they wouldn't budge, I wished now I had told them to keep their food, but, I got the cash & went back, 30 minutes had passed & the food was still sitting there. On arriving home, I laughed it off as one of those days. Well my partner had Seekh kebab, yuk, one bite each, it was just fat & gristle, in the bin it went, leaving a horrible taste, my Desi main course was described as a hot thick sauce, green chillies etc etc, it was so sweet & minty, not as you would expect, the madras was bland & watery needless to say the menu has gone in the bin & we won't be going back. It wasn't cheap either, we can get much better, quality food elsewhere & will in the future, was only trying to support local business. Not impressed.

My partner Rob and I order from here every fortnight. The best tandoori chicken tikka masala, friendly service and great food. One of the best Indian takeouts in Sheffield. They always add my extra extra garlic to all of my dishes and make my weekends so much better. Highly recommend!

Food good, beer expensive, service slow, but definitely with a visit!

First of all, a massive amount of credit for the staff being friendly all of the time and for remembering all their customers names. The food is exquisite and you really do get a taste of their culture. And also, it is great for romantic date nights, family reunions and great fun for kids. It’s nice with the windows letting you see cars come past at night and in general it’s just a astounding restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway to collect. The entire order went straight in the bin. The chicken tikka masala had no flavour or spice was just a creamy, bland mess. Half of the order never showed up or was replaced with something entirely different. In my honest opinion I’d tell you to save your money and buy from somewhere else. Shocking.

I have lived all over sheffield and have visited many Indian restaurants, I also drive 1500 miles per week and sample Indian food in many parts of the country. This restaurant and takeaway is highly recommended! The quality, service and price is fantastic. I order takeaway from here every week and I am never disappointed enjoy. It is in my top 2 Indian restaurants in the whole of sheffield.

We have not used this restaurant as a takeaway for a few months now due to the above title, we wish we had not used them tonight. The food was cold, the delivery was 20 minutes late and we will not be ordering from them again.
