Always amazing service inside the restaurant they always make our time special, food is always on point. Our new go to restaurant for Indian food.

Great service and delicious food as always

Food was lovely, delivery was very fast. Unfortunately popadoms were missing.

Perfect! Always our go to for an Indian takeaway! Staff are always lovely and polite, food always piping hot and delicious!

Food arrived after almost 2.5 hrs of waiting and is cold.

Yet again the meal was perfect, the service is outstanding and I’ve been using the Raj for 8 years now! 10/10 in my opinion

lamb tikka was a little bland for my taste but the vindaloo was banging.

Fantastic Indian meal here - couldn't fault any part of it. Service was excellent and all the food was gorgeous, wonderful flavours and hot. Prices were also very reasonable. Ignore any comments about the decor - we thought it looked lovely and tastefully decorated. Some people just like to find fault for no real reason!

The Raj of India is Simply First Class.

40 minutes late even though I ordered 2 hours in advance. Cold when it arrived. Refused a refund. I will not be ordering from here again.

The food tasted very nice, however it was cold when it arrived and took over an hour and 20 minutes to arrive on a Monday night which let it down.

An extremely late delivery and quite honestly ruins the whole experience for me. The food was alright, naan was dry and couldn’t taste the paneer in it. The onion bhajis weren’t crispy and too spicy! And quite frankly, you should be giving papadams for free as standard like any other Indian takeaway restaurant. Will be sticking to the Nepalese takeaway. At least they’re on time and their food is better. Service should be spot on each time you get an order!

If you're looking for a great Indian takeout to hit the spot, don't order from here. Very underwhelming unfortunately.

Restaurant is in need of attention, there is wallpaper peeling off and mould on the walls as you walk downstairs to the lower ground restaurant. The two members of staff initially looked bewildered when I asked if they offered a take away service (they do) and neither could raise a smile, no wonder the place was empty at 18:30 on a Friday, Food was average at best. I will try somewhere else next time.

The vegetable curry needs to be improved. The peshwari naan also was sticky when it should have coconut within it, arrived cold, late etc.

Had difficulty finding the house but rather than call me they throw it over the gate. Spilt everywhere. Really poor. Photos provided.

Best in the area. Great portion sizes and top tier meat quality.

Disappointed. Arrived with two minutes to spare (so “on time”) but was barely warm. Prawn starter was tough with soggy batter, bhuna was bland. Mushroom rice could have been acceptable but it was nearly cold. This was my first order and will be my last.

An hour late delivering. Rang restaurant twice and told on both occasions it’s on its way allow another 20 minutes. Eventually arrived. Vegetable curry in the bottom of the bag as container squashed. Rest of food was cold. Extremely disappointed and spoilt the evening. Waste of money. First time of ordering and will not order again. Waste of £45.00. This was an ordered delivery. Took an hour and a half to arrive. Food was OK, not all as warm as you'd want.

Prawn korma had very little prawns just cut up bits of prawn not very impressed

Ordered from here online and paid, the driver turned up late and angry saying I need to pay more for delivery because they do not deliver to Kings Cliffe even though they accepted the order. He tried to drive off with the food as I had no cash until I stood in front of the car, he then gave it to me saying “I’m lucky”.

Delivery driver turned up late and angry saying we need to pay £8 cash for delivery. I said I don’t have cash so he tried to drive off with the food I had paid for. I had to stand in his car until he finally gave it to me saying “im lucky”

Food was bland no taste !! Onion Basie tasteless Lamb tikka masala tasteless garlic Nan seemed like yesterday’s. Will not go back.

Good quality, extremely tasty and all for a reasonable price (for Stamford).

The Jhinga Til Tinka was fantastic. First time I'd ordered this and didn't disappoint. In fact everything was well cooked, hot and tasted great. I highly recommend ordering from the Raj of India and will do so again. Thanks to them.

My order has turned up over an hour late. The Raj India have processed it as delivered so that I can’t show that it was late. When the food arrived it was also stone cold. Not impressed

55 minutes late 4 phone calls and wrong tikka and food cold

I thought the dhansak tasted bland, not much meat in the dish and the side dish was very sloppy and lacking in depth of flavour

Very nice indian restaurant. one of the more traditional types. good portions, nice food but one thing that i don’t like is the soft drinks are from the plastic bottle: other that that all good

The food was inedible. The worst takeaway I have ever had. Chicken was pink. Sauce tasted like soap. Arrived an hour late. £40 in the bin. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE. Taj Mahal is very good for example.

My favourite Indian take away in town. Always get a nice delivery driver too. Food is always nice and hot. 5*

What an amazing place, myself and the wife went here for an anniversary meal and it was divine. The lovely restaurant is peaceful, you are greeted with a lovely smile and the staff are very friendly. The food came very quick and the portion size is very generous and the it tasted excellent, we were stuffed. We had 2 mains sides of rice, naan breads, poppadoms and drinks and it only came to £42. This is a proper little gem and we will 100% be returning. Thank you so much.

lovely food as always since we first used the Raj back in 1989. Lots of variety and dishes flavoured with a great range of spices and styles. The Kashmiri and Pasanda dishes are particularly delicious and their onion bhajiss are the best I have ever eaten.

Normally get takeaway from the Raj, which never disappoints. Dined in the restaurant today, the food was amazing and the service was quick, attentive and friendly 👌🏻 Also highly recommend the Vindaloo, has a great depth of flavour, kudos to the chef team 🙏🏻

The best naan breads that exist locally, good service and fresh food, but the madras is not up to scratch - more flavourful options available elsewhere.

I have been a regular at the Raj for nearly 8 years now! More recently I’ve been having takeaway! They are by far the best restaurant in Stamford by far! Fab food and great staff!!

Enjoyed my mixed jalfrezi Garlic Nan Garlic rice Whole meal very enjoyable I’ve ate in the Restaurant previously but decided to test the take out option and I was not disappointed .

Quality would have been better if it was hot. Like warm at best and had to be microwaved. Below the standard expected and a long way off our last order that was near perfect. Won’t use again.

We booked in advance only to discover " The Raj" was closed but fortunately reopened for our booking. As you enter a notice board has a few news clipping which appear some time ago. The food produced was disappointing, it lacked the normal delightful spiced flavours on a good Indian. My wife's mixed grill had loose bits of chicken bone in it, this was raised with waiter but brushed off - could have been really dangerous. My dish lacked any flavour, with a very small portion of chick. We left disappointed on what could have been an outstanding evening. Service provided was good but food sadly lacking.

First time ordering from Raj tonight 5 STAR service. Really friendly man delivered our food. All our food was amazing, hot and full of flavour. We will 100% be back. Thank you.

Good value, prompt delivery to a fairly out of the way village location

Waited 2 hours for it to arrive, when I called to chase the man said it’s on its way, didn’t take any details but said it was on its way, after this call i then waiting another hour for the food to arrive. When it did arrive it was cold & there was missing items that we’d been charged for, when I tried to call them to complain about it I could not get through. Absolutely poor service. Wouldn’t recommend.

First time using The Raj in many years but after comparing their prices against others in Stamford it was worth a shot - ordered 2 mains 2 rice and 2 nans for £30 - food was delivered hot and all dishes were extremely tasty and fresh - my children said it was the nicest curry takeaway they’d had in ages so we’ll be using that The Raj again - can easily recommend.

The food took 1 hour and a half from placing the delivery and when I called the takeaway the man said they were busier so it takes longer, in that case they need to update the delivery time. And when the food arrived it was stone cold.

Wasn't delivered until 1hr 30mins after ordering, and 15mins later than the end of the specified delivery time, when ringing the restaurant we were told the driver left after it should have arrived. The food was only just warm when it arrived.

Fantastic as per usual! Never had a bad meal or experience in the 7 years I’ve lived in the Stamford area!
