We arrived early evening ordered food which was fine at 7.35 we were told kitchen was closed so we were unable to have a dessert website states that kitchen closes at 8pm no worries as none of the party wanted a dessert. Last orders was called at 9 pm what pub closes at 9? We were out for the evening looking at the website it says that the bar closes at 10.30 ! Don’t think we will be going for an evening out at the railway tavern again which is a shame .

We went to the Tavern last night for a meal, firstly let me say that the staff were very friendly and attentive but as for the food goes a totally different story. We opted for the Spanish Tapas menu which was far from authentic. Meatballs the size of marbles and chorizo portion barely visible and drowned in red wine, tortilla more standard omelet than tortilla. Churros obviously out of a packet with bottled chocolate sauce. I would suggest it would be better for the Tavern to revert to a more conventional menu.

Princes Road
This restaurant always provides a high quality experience both food and customer service wise. Today I had THE BEST lamb I've ever tasted. (Pan rosted lamb rump). The meat was just melting in my mouth. Well done guys...keep the lamb on the menu and you have me for life!

Unit 1, The CafeOrdered from here a while ago & was spot on, so was very disappointed with tonight’s offering. Delivery was quicker than expected, but the chicken & ribs combo was anemic - I’m not saying it wasn’t cooked, but the chicken skin was far from crispy and ribs still fatty. Lucky I planned to keep it in the oven for a while anyway, but was still not great after 40 minutes in oven on 100 ( skin didn’t crisp up / still too fatty) Chips were good and I am fussy with chips, so that’s one positive! Only side option though - Extra coleslaw for 50p was surprisingly good but small portion. 2bh think you could do better at home in the air fryer, which is disappointing because was nearly £20. Portion size is generous but ended up throwing half of it away due to fat / gristle - would rather good quality meat, but smaller portion? Wouldn’t order again, which is a shame as was so great before!
