Lovely breakfast again. I come quite regularly and always get what I ask for even though I can be a little bit funny with my eating habits. Thumbs up lol

The Walking Group that I lead held its annual 'Unwanted Xmas Presents' buffet at the Railway Inn at Sawley. The event was supported by 45 of its members and Andy put on another superb buffet with Jacket Potatoes, sandwiches, quiche,chicken drumsticks, salad, etc plus a selection of cakes and cheeseand biscuits to follow. A very enjoyable occassion.

Went to the railway in December for q buffet with 16 other ladies. The food was poor cobs with a salad bowl and cheese and biscuits. To follow was small cakes very small which we were allowed 2 per person at a cost of t £10.00 per person

The Railway Inn has become our 'go to' breakfast venue, after an early morning round of golf. Always a warm welcome; fantastic coffee, and great breakfast menu at affordable prices - what more can you ask for? The number of regular repeat customers we see also speaks volumes about the place - highly recommended!

Super local pub serving a cracking breakfast. Not my first time and won't be my last. Andy the Manager was very polite and attentive, but I always find the Railway staff awesome!

One of our local boozers in Sawley. Set in a very nice building with a good atmosphere. The bar staff and landlord are friendly.

About to go into the shop to discuss a birthday cake but was put off by the angry staff shouting rude comments to a lady who was videoing a mishap on bath Street not sure the lady was right or wrong but she never argued back with them but the 2 ladies who was helping a fellow shop keeper pick stuff up where VERY rude and aggressive towards the lady and several times repeatedly went up to the lady's face in a very intimidating way

4 Bridge StreetFantastic food, friendly staff, great service (even though it was busy) and apt music. Our favourite restaurant is Fischer's of Baslow, but as for how good the food is, you couldn't get a bible page in between them. In fact, and it almost pains me top say it as I've been a frequent visitor to Fischer's for many years, I'd say La Rock just pips Fischer's to first place taste wise. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch folks, you didn't put a foot wrong. We'll see you again soon. Went again today (15th Feb 2025) and it was even more awesome. I though of some names for you guys if you ever thought of changing... "Poor dog", "That's a bit rich" or "Every bite, a delight". Food that makes you giggle with pleasure you will find here. I was very pleased to find they still had the "fish and chips on a crisp" amuse bouche. Why I leave it so long between visits is a mystery, must have hit my head or something. Stop reading this and book yourself in for a fantastic meal right now. Tell 'em Bonky sent you.
