Ordered online and took 2 hrs 40 min to arrive. Thought we would try a different curry from our regular, what a dissapointing experiance. Curries were watery, flavourless and unappealing. Not worth the money they cost. Rice was also somehow watery. Nann bread was hard break apart and tough to chew. Just total dissatisfaction, used to enjoy this place, shame its gone downhill. Will stick the jewel balti from now on.

We live in the Forest of Dean and have probably eaten at every Indian restaurant from Chepstow to Gloucester and from Lydney to Monmouth but we keep coming back to the Raduni as it's simply the best. Great menu;friendly helpful staff;food cooked the way you like it (Wife's has to be extra mild - and it is ,while I like mine hot);Nice surroundings;Reasonable Prices. We've been dozens of times and never had a bad meal (although they have been out of bananas on a couple of occasions)

On a recent stay in Monmouth, we gave this restaurant a try. Sorry to say, Onion Bhajis were warm and greasy and my Chicken Tikka Byriani was again cold, small portioned and with salad dressed around the plate, think to disguise portion size. I asked for mine to be replaced and this was quickly done, then asked if I wanted another sauce. As all my last sauce went on my previous curry, I said yes please. The Byriani was tasteless and only small pieces of chicken to be found Sorry, but never again

As we are regular customers, we decided to ask The Raduni to cater for 50 people for a special birthday last weekend. We chose three dishes from the menu, poppadums, sides, naan and rice. The meal was personally cooked by Alom, the owner, and delivered exactly at the time requested in large pans, ready to be put straight out. The verdict from all our guests was unanimous - '' great tasting curry, and well cooked' - fantastic idea!''. A nice touch was the 4 large containers of pickles, included at no extra cost. Food has always been 5 stars and this was the best!

We had guests yesterday evening and decided to treat them to an Indian Takeaway, we had previously ordered from this restaurant and had found their service to be brilliant..............Last night the service was awful, we ordered the food as usual and was advised it would be with us within 45 mins.........After it did not arrive, we called the restaurant to be told it was 10-15 mins away from us, after it didn’t arrive we again called to be told the restaurant was busy and our food definitely would be with us in 15 mins as the delivery was on its way.......15 mins later nothing had arrived, so we called the restaurant to be told they were extremely busy but they could still deliver in 20mins......20 mins later we were called back from the restaurant to let us know they would not be fulfilling our order as they were too busy, by this time it was almost 2hrs since the initial order and payment was taken, and it was too late to order elsewhere, the staff did not seem to care, we demanded a full refund, which we have not yet received......... it was disgusting service together with dreadful attitude........ would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant......

This place is lovely! The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff were very attentive and polite. The Banquet deal is excellent value. We added some extras (rice and naan bread) but the portions were very good. The starters were very fresh, the onion Bhajis in particular were really good. I had a chicken Bhuna which was really light and full of fresh tomatoes. Rice was perfectly fluffy and the naan breads were cooked just right. Excellent night overall, even though we live 40 mins away in Bristol, we would gladly come back.

Having checked their website we were looking forward to the advertised Banquet 4 course meal for £10.50. A banquet it was not. We chose the mixed starter which came with the most unusual of Indian delicacies..spring roll! The whole concoction seems to have come from a packet of 'mixed asian' and was without taste or texture. Main course chicken was described by our waiter as 'a sizzling dish' so I expected something served sizzling at the table, but just a plate of meat curry. No nan breads available! Finally kulfi, just a carboard ice cream tub served at the table. £10.50 is cheap these days...but the food still wasn't worth the money.

We got to our hotel in Monmouth to find they didn't serve evening food as their website had said. This led to an on foot search for food quite late on the local high street. Everywhere was busy and pre booked, understandably due to it being a Saturday night. We decided to stop at this cute little Indian and I'm so glad we did. Polite staff who squeezed us in and didn't turn us away, lovely food (nan bread and onion bhajis the best I've had for a long while). Nothing was rushed, we were looked after well and I thought the vegetarian selection was really good. The only thing I find a problem in most Indians is they try to take the chutney tray that you've paid for away after the poppadoms are eaten, but they were fine with leaving it to accompany our main meal. They turned a possibly disastrous evening into a really lovely one!

The first place we saw was Raduni and being a fan of curry decided to book a table for the evening, and I'm so glad we did. Raduni is an Indian / Bangladeshi restaurant and has a lovely variety of dishes many we have never heard of before. I opted for a mutton dish called (if I remember correctly) Balchuri Wala and had a Paratha along with saag aloo for a side dish. My wife opted for a Mushroom Byriani and a lentil side dish. the customary rice was a must and we also had starters mine being a Chicken pakora, and my wife had a Chana chat (chick pea dish) with a puri. Phew it was impossible to finish, which is a shame because it was so tasty and fresh. The bill was very reasonable and I will definitely go back there when next in the area.

The only Indian restaurant open on a Sunday in Monmouth. The reason is, quite obviously, that there is no demand, as we ate alone throughout the entire meal. Not the friendly staff's fault, of course, but the atmosphere was very odd because of it. That said, the food was good enough. Standard Indian fair - we all had something different and shared, and the Sunday Banquet is actually excellent value. Bully boy Boss ! Went to Raduni on Friday night after a fine Art exhibition in Church street. We were given a nice table in the corner. The place was very busy. A waiter appeared and took our order very quickly. After we had drinks with popadoms and pickle tray a waiter came to remove the tray but my partner asked him to leave it on the table. Almost immediately another very irate waiter pushed the first waiter and gave him a public dressing down, grabbing our tray and whisking it away. The first waiter looked rather nervous and dismayed. We then noticed the irate one shouting at the nervous one again at another table. We felt rather bad for the first waiter as he was pleasant and efficient. It was the bully was using him as a punch bag for his aggressive attitude. The food was very good and I paid in cash to bully. He disappears and didn't return with my change assuming it was a tip? We had intended giving the first waiter the tip but he was nowhere to be found. As we approached the door to leave we saw the poor victim being chased into the kitchen by Bully boy who had his hands outstretched as if to strangle the poor wretch. If it hadn't been so tragic it would have been funny. Like a scene from faulty Towers. However we found it very unpleasant to see a grown man being belittled in such a brutish manner !

They were nice & crispy with the usual assortment of pickles. Even though it was quiet, there was no rush to take our order. For the mains we had a Chicken Madras, Chicken Rogon Josh, and a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi Balti. To accompany this we had Pillau rice, chips, Garlic Nan and Keema Nan.The food was nicely presented and there was a fair amount of chicken in each meal. It was excellent, and we finished all the meals. The drinks are slightly expensive, £4 for a pint of Cobra which our hotel was selling for £3.10. We decided on a bottle of house red at £11.95, which was a reasonable wine. One thing to note is that the Food Hygiene sticker in the window rates the restaurant as 2. This may be from a previous business? We didn’t see anything to see why this should be and none of us had any problems afterwards.

I went with a friend and upon arrival we were seated just down the little stairs into the alcove however there was a table next to us where one of the diners just loved the sound of his own voice... we asked to move and it was no trouble. The food was lovely and a good price however our waiter struggled to understand english and it took several attempts to actually get a cup of hot water!!! I wold have a take away from here but I doubt I will rush back to dine in....

This is too place for Indian takeaway! By far the best within a 30 mile radius! Food is delicious, full of flavour and so tasty - plenty of meat in the dishes too! Brilliant service, very friendly staff! And they do such good offers like 10% off take-always and a 3 course banquet on a Sunday £12pp or there abouts! As a family we usually have (and can't fault it):-- lamb tikka masala- pilau rice - veg rice - keema naan- garlic naan- Bombay potato- saag aloAll delicious! Keep up the good work Raduni :-)

I'd like to give this 3.7 points - nice and we were definitely pleasantly full afterwards. Compared to London Indians, it felt parochial, as though they were dialing down the heat to accommodate local tastes - perhaps that is exactly what they were doing as I have noticed this trend a lot outside of Birmingham and London.Having said that, the food was tasty and they were generous with the portions. For £8.95 pp for 3 decent courses, this was a great deal - available Sunday and I think Wednesday too (according to the menu at least). We had the:meat samosa - quite nicekebab - pleasant but lacking heatchicken tikka masala - creamy and nicemixed balti - I quite liked this and felt this was a tad more authentic than the other dishesmango and pistachio kulfis - actually very good, creamy, and not a hint of ice crystals in sight - yummyService - they were very attentive and friendly, and it was late on a Sunday evening, so this was a bit of surprise too.Sunday deal is very good value indeed and food was definitely doable :)

Despite being told by a few people that the service and food was average, we found the experience very good and would go back,

I bought a takeaway from here yesterday and was very impressed. The menu is extensive and covers all the expected options and a few more. The wait for the food was barely 10 minutes which is amazing, granted it was early and the restaurant was empty, but still very good.Once home I unpacked my food to find they had added a poppadom and dips which i hadn't ordered (or been charged for!)...thank you!I'll be back here again and soon and can recommend it to anyone.

Came here recently with my Wife for a meal for two and we were left very disappointed after we waited a absurd amount of time for our food even tho the restaurant wasn't even busy. Not even a complimentary drink was offered which should be the normal protocol for unsatisfied customers to which I made them aware. 3/10

Everything was fine about our visit to Raduni except the long wait for our food (around an hour). This is generally acceptable if we'd been told of the wait before ordering, and given an apology for the wait - we received neither. Nor did the table next to us who had an equally long wait. It wasn't even like they were particularly busy. The dishes could also have been spicier (we ordered medium curries and there was little sign of any heat). We won't be back.

Despite providing my post code and address and only being a few miles away they refused to deliver because they didn't know the area. I was told they would never deliver to me. The delivery service is partial.

I've eaten here over the years often and have always had a great meal. Takeaways are always good too and they deliver! Very friendly staff who remember you and give good quick service.

Used to be a good takeaway, one of the best in Monmouth, but now is lacking in my opinion. The last order we had from here wasn't to a good standard, the meal was bland and seemed pre made and then microwaved. The box was warmer than the food and the popadoms were smashed up in the bag. Perhaps a one off, but nothing compared to others in town.

It was a very quiet night in there for saying it was Saturday evening, only us and 1 other table with guests on it, plus the staffs kids were in there trying to gain attention from our table. Killing the mood of our night sightly. The food was very nice however, May be better to be used as a takeaway.

This was for the takeaway option . The restaurant was empty. On retuning home and looking at curries once opened the boxes were opened they were swimming in an oil slick and had to be well drained. And the portion sizes for the monies were very small containers and on stirring it’s contents each dish , we were able to count 4 small slices of chicken about the size of a small apple about 2/3cms thick. I phoned the curry house to complain about the size and amount of chicken for an order of 4 mains to the tune of £70 picked up ! Very poor value. All the man could say and was getting more agro , no apologies or any thing else . That they had been their 40 years ! And they had not heard that before ! Really poor service and for a take aways . you better hope no one else opens up in Usk or you will not be in business much longer ! I certainly won’t be back no apologies or reparation offered.

Rubbish of late. Staff smoking in the doorway. Food is dreadful and flavourless. Slow service too. Why bother? Pay some more and go to the local in Magor or order from Caldicot and have something nice. This will be shut soon unless there is change, living off the previous name and owner.
