Love coming to this place. The outside tables are great as the views are unbeatable. The service is always amazing; friendly, helpful and quick. The food and drinks are always worth the journey. Great cakes too.

Visited for a lunch as we have been to Portland so many times and not found it before! Staff were friendly and pleasant and food was delicious and served quickly. I had scallops which were beautifully presented and my husband had the chowder which he thoroughly enjoyed. Inside is small with limited seating but plenty of outdoor seating with spectacular views. Will certainly visit again.

This is a great little gem of a cafe for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake, we eat there a couple of times as it was only a short distance from where we were staying. The menu is substantial enough to cover a choice for everyone, and the staff were excellent and very well organised when it came to service, the kitchen was happy to accommodate slight changes to the menu to cater to dietary preferences. Would highly recommend you check this place out if you’re in the local area.

Had a wonderful lunch at Quiddles. Beautiful views and a sunny day made for a relaxing meal. Food was excellent and the service impeccable. We decided to stay and drink coffee while the children played on the beach. Whilst ‘people watching’ I noticed how many times staff were stopped and asked if a table was available. Now we all know that booking is essential everywhere due to the pandemic however I could not believe how rude and hostile people were to staff when they were politely told this! Then it was ‘well can we have a coffee/takeout then?!’ in a huffy tone. The staff were clearly working so hard to accommodate everyone but still the moaning went on. At times it was quite intimidating. It was hard to listen to and I can only imagine how upset the staff felt although you would never have known it as they just kept on smiling. It was a masterclass in hospitality and hats off to them for not answering back! I hope to return soon and hopefully the moaners will stay at home!!

Not the easiest of locations to get to as it is secreted amongst the semi-industrial portside locations in Portland. So, you can guess that although the setting is industrially prosaic it is next to the sea. And, once you have found your way there the food is truly excellent. I had some of the freshest scallops I have ever eaten. There are non-fish options but not too many but the real reason to eat there is the fish.

Avoid! We went in for ice cream - they had about 3 flavours out of the 15 or so advertised. They blamed delivery. When we ordered 5 they handed us 5 pathetic tiny scoops in tubs - didn’t even ask if that was ok. When we complained the manager aggressively told us “we are closing next week so running supplies down” as if we were somehow outrageous to expect cones/to be told there was no cones before we paid. It needs a good clean too inside.

Can't say the food wasn't nice as it really was made to order but cheesy chips as a main and over £7 is far to much for the decoration and style of cafe. The portion of chips as an getting extra with sandwiches was the same size roughly and £3

How disappointing! really not up to standard, the hygiene is poor. CLEANING TABLES WITH POLISH! well that's a first, that does not clean the tables it just polishes. The cook was constantly picking food and dipping it to what looked like a mayonnaise tub, eating grated cheese and the list goes on, also texting on her phone, no apron or washing off hands. I think an open kitchen is sometimes not a good idea, as the floor was filthy, and the tops were messy. Even the toilet was cleaner then the kitchen. The other 2 girls were friendly, but so was the cook. Word of advice put yourself on a hygiene course.

Decent, a well needed bacon sandwich and a coffee. Obviously popular with outdoor types so can get full of hikers and watersports visitors, directy opposite a D-day museum so there payable parking nearby. I'm a semi regular visitor when I'm in the area, and have tried most of their food, ranging from a bacon sandwich, where they cooked my bacon as I liked upon request, and the large full english kept me going right through till early evening. Why only 4 stars, fix the front door! Makes me jump everytime, if you know, you know
