Queens View Cafe in Perth & Kinross

We checked the face book site before setting off which clearly stated the cafe was open. Hiked over 4 hours and when we got there it was closed. Very annoyed. It would be helpful if they could keep their on line pages up to date and make it clear when it is closed. There were several other people there who were let down as well. The car park was full and there were a lot of hikers too so losing a lot of business and letting a lot of people down.

Shut when we arrived with no notice on their website. We were not the only visitors who were a bit annoyed by this, especially when the parking charge is still applied.

Has always been a great place for lunch, so we were very sad to see it has been closed up till some point in 2023 as they plan to refurbish it,

We had a four mile walk to the queens view cafe for a nice coffee only to find it’s shut yet again. We are a tourist area and expect at the middle of summer that it would be open. Cobbs the Scottish bakery chain who run it should be ashamed of themselves .

Jackie and Tom made us very welcome. Clean and roomy. I cam recommend the scones. Good outdoor area for warmer times.

Knowing that this is very popular and crowded during the day, we assembled a picnic from the Co-op in Pitlochry and drove up there one sunny evening. We were the only visitors!

The guy may have been having a bad no staff day but that is not the customers fault. Prices exorbitant even by Highland standards. £15 for 2 coffees and 2 pre packed 'cookies'. Aye right.

Coach tour really enjoyed the view from the vantage point nice café there it’s well worth the visit i would definitely go back

Tom made us feel welcome. The cafe was not fully opened. Only serviced pre-packed sandwiches and sweet treats. The scones and sandwiches was delicious. Cafe and toilets was spotless clean. We will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

A lovely little cafe with a selection of cakes and drinks etc. Very friendly staff. Only gave 4 as asked for strawberry cake and carrot cake and ended up with strawberry cake and shortbread but they were so friendly I didn’t want to complain. A lovely setting.

We visited cafe during our 3 night stay in pitlochry we made the mistake of walking to queens view it took us 2 1/2hrs walking in the heat & fighting of bugs not to mention no pavements however we made it & it was worth it stunning!! We dropped in2 the cafe for drinks very careful with covid rules place was spotless & staff were great we told them about our walk we asked about buses & taxis to go back they provided info on both but it was mission impossible we sat outside for a while trying every taxi number we found but nothing staff who worked there stayed in pitlochry so gave us a lift a lifesaver took us to our hotel top Mark's 4 Hospitality to staff here. So huge huge Thank u again.

We popped in here for a drink and a snack with our 2 year old and 6 month old baby - very impressed with the cleanliness and social distancing. Admittedly it was very quiet when we got here but even if we had had to queue outside we understood why and appreciated how safe they are making it inline with the current covid rules (we came prepared with umbrellas in case!). Friendly and helpful staff. We would highly recommend stopping here.

It is really annoying that visitors are expected to pay £2 to park while the cafe is closed and so are the toilets. This is poor at the end of May when all hotels in Pitlochry are full of visitors

Well worth a detour! It doesn’t matter what the weather is, just go and take in this beautiful Scottish view! The shop is well worth a check, although on this visit we didn’t go in.

Came for a coffee and it was pouring down with rain so we waited outside to be seated 2 couples in front of us went in (slowly) the we waited outside. As a family of 4, 2 of which were small children being drenched outside while we waited on the red rope being moved. The waiter was walking back and forth plating cakes while we were getting ever more wet. There were empty tables and we had already pre booked so no idea why we were waiting outside other than the enjoyment of power. The waiter also questioned us while we were at the door for being 2 households which was completely un professional and unnecessary. Standard cup of coffee, not overly impressed and the experience was completely gone before we even entered. Probably won't waste my time in here again.

We stopped at the cafe for tea and cake late afternoon. Totally on the ball with Covid regulations, tables well spaced, hand gel on every one, clear one way system etc. The two members of staff we spoke to were friendly and efficient. Cappuccino cake was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and our three children visited this coffee shopOn Sunday and the coffee as well as the cakes were amazing and very well priced. We were really impressed by Tomas (we assume he is the manager) who was very attentive and so lovely and exceeded any expectations we had in customer service. I normally don’t leave reviews but we were so impressed and would like to thank you again for a fantastic experience!

We were VERY impressed with the very efficient and clearly marked system which adhered to all the regulations in Scottish law and made us feel completely safe. We saw tables and trays being thoroughly cleaned between customers, and noted the sanitiser on each table. The staff explained what we should do in a very gracious manner, and served us promptly with lovely food. They were also nice to children who were there. The location is excellent with wonderful views, today in the cross-section of autumn colours. A place not to be missed!

Service is great and the staff are very helpful. All distancing and sanitising is carried out very well. Toilets sanitised regularly. One way system to keep those using toilets from those using restaurant. There might be a little queue but didn't have to wait long and good fast service once in the café. Nice coffee and scone. Its not far off the a9 for a wee stop and you get the queens view to boot. Website said contact for a table, but it was just first come first serve.

Excellent Service. The lady in charge was very organised and helpful, the new COVID rules were followed to a tee. The food was delicious and was made very quickly and delivered to the table. Would 100% recommend.

Hemos visitado este café varias veces a lo largo de los años. Siempre ha estado limpio y bien organizado. Ahora, está súper limpio y tiene rutinas fabulosas que tienen en cuenta estos tiempos covid. Gracias al personal por ser amable, acogedor y asegurarse de que los clientes estén seguros.

El café era perfecto para una taza de té y una rebanada de esponja Victoria para secarse en el interior, una buena selección de golosinas y un precio razonable. El lugar manejó muy bien las restricciones de covid y me impresionó el servicio brindado, este fue uno de los primeros lugares en los que sentí que se estaba adaptando muy bien y manteniendo al personal y a los visitantes seguros de una manera cómoda. Las mesas se mantuvieron limpias y separadas con gel de manos disponible en cada mesa y servicio de mesa de los dos genetlemen que manejaban el lugar tan bien.

Food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. They are very up on their Covid procedures and we felt completely ar ease here. To top it all off the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Los asientos al aire libre eran cómodos y bien espaciados y los baños estaban impecables.Fue reconfortante la firmeza con que el personal se adhirió a las restricciones de COVID 19, lo que lo convirtió en un lugar relajante y encantador para disfrutar de una comida deliciosa.Sin duda volveremos, la vista es preciosa y es una gran parada para tomar un aperitivo.

Primero puedo decir que esta es la mejor organización para los procedimientos C-19 que he encontrado. Algunos podrían decir rígido, pero he visto una mala adherencia en los hoteles de 4 estrellas y los mejores restaurantes en la última semana. ¡Este sería un lugar ideal para cualquiera que esté un poco nervioso, ya que se administra con precisión casi militar! Como era de esperar, el servicio también es sumamente eficiente. Agregue a esto una vista impresionante y hermosos pasteles y cafés / tés. ¡Nos decepcionó no haber llegado un poco más tarde y haber podido almorzar también!

Después de visitar la plataforma de observación, fuimos al café a tomar un café y un pastel. Quedamos muy impresionados con sus prácticas Covid exhaustivas, eficientes y bien organizadas. Durante nuestras vacaciones visitamos muchos cafés, cafeterías y restaurantes y este fue el más impresionante de todos. El personal fue muy agradable y explicó sus prácticas, el café y el pastel también fueron buenos. Bien hecho a todos ellos. El único otro más completo fue Dewar's Distillery en Aberfeldy y eso tenía que ser ya que es un sitio de producción.

Visited here to enjoy the view and what a stunning view it is we then headed to the cafe to enjoy coffee and cake we were greeted at door by a very polite man who explained the measures in place to keep everyone safe and asked if we could please follow them we were guided to our seats after ordering and enjoyed a delicious coffee and cake and filled in our track trace info ,it all follows a one way system and it felt safe well done all and thank you

Visited in a party of 4 on September 12th and I must say that, as far as feeling Covid safe is concerned, this was amazingly well organised. Plenty of visitors but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated on the lovely veranda area. Dog friendly too which is a huge bonus. We all had sandwiches or toasties and they were delicious. Couldn’t fault the place!

The view from the view point is wonderful, although it is up hill from the car park it is easy to maneuverer with pram or wheel chair users, and well worth a visit, the cafe is well organised for covid19 procedures, the food is well made tasty and cakes are delicious, staff are very polite and helpful to all customers

We visited here while on holiday in Aberfeldy and it was well worth the drive. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The way they have the cafe set up for social distancing is really well done. there is plenty of space between tables and hand sanitiser on every one. They are also very dog friendly and will bring a bowl of water for your dog with a few treats.I had the all day breakfast and it was really tasty and very good quality. The sandwiches they do are also very good quality with decent farmhouse style bread and lots of filling. Better quality than a lot of restaurants we have been in.We would certainly visit here again if we are in the area.It was also very good value for money.

We drove 20 miles to this place, only to be told the kids couldn't come in because they needed face masks. The kids were 8 and 9, and you'd have to take them off inside anyway because it's a cafe. It was especially grating due to the smug manner in which the man at the door told us.

We had a lovely trip to Queensview today, we had the All day breakfast and it was one of the best I’ve had, and being Scottish I’ve had a few!!! What Stood out the most and made me feel so relaxed was the Covid measures that are in place, Its the safest I’ve felt whilst being out, a massive thank you to all the staff for making my visit very safe

We came to queen's view before travelling back to home from holiday. It's was raining so we went to the cafe. I have to say it's the best cafe we have visited on our trip to Scotland. The things they have put in place for the covid19 safety is amazing. Very organisedTom the waiter was fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Amazing food and coffee. 5 *****

We visited Queen’s view yesterday and had lunch at the cafe. Excellent service, delicious food and all Covid protocols were adhered to however this did not affect our experience. Would highly recommend a visit.

Really impressed with vigorous cleaning and excellent covid safety measures these guys are working hard to keep everyone safe - well done guys. Thoroughly recommend stopping here for food and drink then rewarding yourself with the amazing views.

The food was nice, with a reasonable choice, and only staff allowed to take items from the display. There was good adherence to safety procedures - hand sanitizers, and one way systems too. The short walk up to the Queen's View was great, especially on a sunny day. We visited the gift shop, which was lovely, and also had lots of reasonably priced items.

Visited here today and was totally impressed with the way they are dealing with the current situation, from the moment we arrived the whole message regarding COVID was totally clear, left in no doubt and felt totally safe. Hat off to you guys !,,,,,,

Perfect spot for cake!! Staff very professional and calm in the circumstances. The gift shop staff are friendly and caring great place to pick up a gift or 2. Highly recommended.

We can’t recommend this place enough. The staff are super friendly and the food is fresh & delicious. It’s dog friendly and there’s a pair of cheeky chaffinches that try to join you for lunch! The coffee in particular was one of the best we have had on our travels. Well done for being so efficient & organised in the current climate.

Nos quedamos en el camino y decidimos visitar Queens View para ver de qué se trataba. Había estado nevando, pero el aparcamiento estaba libre de nieve.Cuando llegamos, obtuvimos nuestra multa de estacionamiento que costó 2 y sacamos al perro del automóvil. Fuimos a la vista y fue encantador. Podrías ver por millas.Salimos a caminar con el perro antes de regresar a la cafetería.El café era amigable con los perros y mi esposa también nuestro perro para sentarse mientras yo pedía bebidas.Nos sirvieron con una sonrisa y para mi sorpresa, no era demasiado caro. Luego, el muchacho trajo nuestras bebidas a nuestra mesa y también trajo un tazón de agua para el perro, lo cual fue un toque muy agradable ya que él no tenía también.No comimos aquí, pero había mucho en oferta de sándwiches, helados, comidas calientes y pasteles.Una visita digna a un pequeño y maravilloso café que parece estar en el medio de la nada.Los baños también estaban muy limpios.

The only cafe I have ever been in where you have to wait 12 minutes for a tea and a coffee. Ridiculous!

We walked the path from the car park to Queens View and back, so we're in need of sustenance. Very good food and drinks well served. Sat out on a very pleasant verandah to eat.

We brought our rescue dog, Hattie, on a walk around queen's view and the surrounding forrests.We finished up with a coffee in the cafe and a look around the gift shop.The staff were a excellent and very welcoming a testemant to the history of the area. Delicious coffee and food.the gift shop had lots of great Highlands souvenirs and the women who served us in the gift shop made our trip with her kindness and how lovely she was to Hattie.Thank you.

Salió a pasear mientras se hospedaba en Pitlochry y salió a caminar con el perro. Después de admirar la hermosa vista, el perro y yo fuimos a la cafetería del centro de visitantes para almorzar. Alfie fue muy bien recibido con un tazón de agua en nuestra mesa. Tuve la sopa que estaba deliciosa y muy necesaria en un día frío. Definitivamente regresaría de nuevo

Good food, great facilities, whether its before or after a walk in the nearby woods,or just simply going for the views. Polite helpful, warm and friendly staff

The view speaks for its self as you will see. Look at the trees on the short walk to the viewing place. We stopped for lunch and we treated very well indeed, the choice was very good even for our special diets, the service was faultless as was the food and all at a very fair price. It is dog friendly and they may even get a treat. All in all excellent, my only comment would be the quotes by Queen Victoria, about the weather and the tea not being good, she was wrong on both counts.

Llegué hoy temprano y nos sorprendió gratamente lo que encontramos. Excepcionalmente limpio, bien distribuido y muy acogedor. Pedimos tostadas de queso y cebolla y 2 tés. Bueno, las tostadas estaban deliciosas y la ensalada tenía un aderezo del que nunca te cansarías. Teníamos una gran taza de té y volví a llenar mi taza por más, lo cual es inusual para mí. El servicio y el personal fueron absolutamente fantásticos y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Volveremos de nuevo, no hay duda al respecto.

This is such a lovely place to visit, the cafe was great but the view from Queens View was out of this world. A must if you are in Perthshire.

We stopped here for coffee and had a look round the shop you have about an 800mtr walk up a hill to get to the viewing platform well worth it will be back

This cafe is a gem. Friendly, helpful people, especially Tom. Lovely food - a varied menu with great savouries and a wide range of lovely cakes. The cafe is very clean and warm. Child friendly. Perfect.

Great coffee and good quality food. Excellent service, very clean cafe. Lovely views from the cafe but the piped music not in keeping with the beautiful surroundings. If music must be played, maybe something Scottish?

Myself, husband and our two dogs visited the cafe today and were greeted by a lovely man who kindly spoke to our dogs and gave them both a biscuit. My husband had a lovely mocha (best one he has ever had!) and a delicious cake. The cafe is situated in a beautiful area and we very much enjoyed our visit and the gorgeous views. Highly recommend

Good value for money and dog friendly. Once you gave enjoyed your lunch (limited menu but nice) a short walk to see Queens View really completes the visit.

Had a delicious quiche here, complemented with salad and toast. The view is a few feet away and very nice. Reasonable prices an good service. Well worth the 4 mile drive from the main road.

We have called a few times when on holiday. The fish finger sarnies are the best we have tasted. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Coffee is also excellent.

Stopped in for a coffee and a piece of cake whilst visiting the queens view. We checked it was dog friendly. And it was, but not just friendly they were wonderful and so welcoming with our dog. It really made our day. We sat outside on the terrace in the sun and the lovely man who served us brought our dog a bowl of water without us even asking him. Which we thought was so thoughtful. Then and asked us if it was ok to give our dog a biscuit. Honestly it was the nicest thing ever. All the staff were so friendly and seemed genuine. And as for the cake. It was lush. I'd read on here that it was recommended and it didnt disappoint. So I will also reccomend, try the victoria sponge too. The other food looked fab too. We had just eaten breakfast otherwise we would have def tried the melted cheese flatbread wrap.

Service a bit slow. Seemed a little disorganised but friendly enough. Had a delicious haggis roll. Range of cakes and sandwiches looked nice.

I normally enter this type of establishment with trepidation. No such need here. I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly, clear menus . We just chose soup & sandwiches but the taste w as great, presentation ideal. Soup & panini were hot! Couldn’t believe how reasonable the price was too! Operated by Cobb’s - well done!

Quick, friendly service, tasty & well presented food. If you sit outside, watch out for the seeds and other assorted natural roughage that may drift into your food from the surrounding trees 😊

Had a recent trip to the Queens View and it’s just lovely! It’s very well laid out and the gift shop has so many brilliant products to buy served by nice smiley welcoming staff!

If, like me, you rocked up with no cash to see Queen's View, the cafe will take the money for the parking and issues you with a receipt. Dog friendly, cosy place where you can sit indoors or outdoors. Has loos, wifi and everything you need.

The choices and quality of food is very good and the service was also good. What lets this cafe down is the decor and lay out.

I would have rated this as 5 stars were it not for the fact that it feels rather like a cafeteria when you use it. You line up and order your food at the till and then it is delivered to you. The tables and chairs are also undistinguished and set out also in a cafeteria style, which is unfortunate as the food selection and quality is very good. We were fortunate that it was quite quiet when we visited so were one of the few tables occupied, but I think it would have been less comfortable if there was a large number of customers.

We had tea with a small snack and the service was really good. And the place was really calm and it was really nice to be there. There was a souvenir shop next to that as well.

We stopped if here this afternoon for lunch and coffee. This cafe is bright, fresh and extremely well maintained and clean. Service was very good and we were served by friendly staff. We had toasted sandwiches which were delicious but the coffee (Red Box) was excellent - rich and strong. We were gifted some coffee by the staff to take away - much appreciated! I intend to return here and would thoroughly recommend this cafe. Thank you for such a fantastic experience.

We cycled to Queen’s view cafe- lovely scenery! Lots of choice of cake (we had the carrot cake which was lovely) and the soup. friendly staff and quick and efficient service! I would definitely recommend a visit.

Eigentlich ein Selbstbedienungslokal, aber das wird nicht ganz so gelebt. Bedienung schaut darauf, ob auch das richtige Besteck mitgenommen wurde (z.B. Suppenlöffel) und bei körperlicher Beeinträchtigung konnten wir beobachten wurde sofort geholfen ein Tablett zu tragen oder ein Platz zu finden.

We called here while staying in Pitlochry, the lady in the gift shop was very friendly and helpful about the area. We walked to the view and as before it was excellent.

From the moment we stepped inside we had nothing but first class service. My mum walks with a stick and mentioned to a member of staff (Tom) that she wasn’t able to walk to see the Queens view which is 150 meters away from the cafe. No problem, he offered us a wheelchair and we were able to go up as a family. The path to the view is well maintained and goo for wheelchair use. When we returned and ordered coffee and cake the service was relaxed, friendly and efficient. I had the Cranachan cake which was gorgeous (pictured). Our dogs were given a dog biscuit and a fresh bowl of water each. They really made us feel so welcome.

Went for a day out and stumbled across Queens View, what a lovely place. What made it even better was the warm welcome we had from the staff and especially in the gift shop, we were assisted and served by a member of staff called Jackie who was such a lovely person and couldn't have been more helpful. Keep up the fab work!! We will definitely be back.

This was a recommended stop from the place we stayed in Aberfeldy. The view is AMAZING, rain or shine. We actually walked up the first time in the rain and once we got back to the car it had stopped so we went again and it was gorgeous.

Lovely, bright ,clean cafe with friendly, helpful staff. Accommodating to dogs on a fantastic spot next to Queen’s View which is absolutely stunning. Nice gift shop next door, not too expensive. Definite worthwhile visit any time of year. Plenty parking. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, pleasant gift shop with some unusual gifts. Good coffee & delicious scones. Nice place to stop not just for the Queen's View but after a nice walk & drive it was good to stop and enjoy the surrounds. Lovely outside seating area. I had the absolute pleasure of eating here today with my family. We were warmly greeted by helpful,friendly staff dressed in Christmas costumes. They really go the extra mile to help. Santa was hosting breakfast which added to the ambience. The cafe was really cosy with settes as well as tables. We had breakfast rolls. I can honestly say that it was the best haggis roll I have ever tasted. I really didn't want it to end. It is dog friendly too. My Westie benefited from 2 sausages and a bowl of water. The centre had a lovely gift shop with a wide variety of gifts. Plenty of free parking and a lovely view to boot. Huge thanks to Tom who went the extra mile.

After a bracing walk we called in here hoping to warm up and have a hot drink and a light bite. We were not disappointed.

My little boy and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast Santa and the elves today, the whole visit was first class from start to finish and the staff really made it a lovely experience for us both. Thank you!

We were so impressed with our visit. Two year old granddaughter was a little wary of Santa to begin with but he was lovely, very patient and by the end of breakfast she loved him. We enjoyed our breakfast, the table and Santa's grotto were lovely, the snow machine was great for photos, the elves and Santa were so nice. I would highly recommend.

Visited here on a very wet day. Dogs are allowed so that’s a bonus. The men had the soup and sandwich which they said was excellent. I had a sandwich and my friend had a lovely cake. Lovely friendly staff. After tea we took a look up to the Queens View. Although it was a wet miserable day the views were spectacular. I can only imagine them on a beautiful day. The £2 parking has put a lot of people off I after found out.

Worth the trip off the main road to see the views then have a cuppa. Watch out for the car park attendant as he is a jobsworth. He would frighten the tourists away with his attitude. Friendly welcoming and a small range of gifts. Good food

This cafe is great! They really make sure that they are accommodating to everyone’s individual needs. I have a serious nut allergy and they made sure that the food was not near anything else and ensured they didn’t have anything containing nuts in it! The food was lovely very well presented and was delicious. Very family friendly and the queens view walk is great to do after to let your food down!☺️

Dog friendly clean bright cafe and shop incorporating a visitor information area. The cafe has good teas and coffees , home baking, soup and hot options. Polite friendly and welcoming staff. Well tended. Super clean toilets too.

Realmente impresionado con las opciones veganas aquí. Muy buenos platos principales, tartas veganas (choc tarta de naranja muy recomendable) y leche de soja para bebidas calientes. Todo el personal es muy servicial y amable. Mi novio es un carnívoro y disfrutó su sándwich de tocino. Brillante en general y gran entorno.
