The Queens was close to where we are staying. We had gone for a walk and heated how helpful the manager is so we called in. They aren’t doing good at the moment due to no chef but until they get a new Chef they are happy for you to get a take away from any of the local takeaway/restaurants and eat in at no charge. The Guinness was perfect and everyone very friendly and helpful. The manager’s knowledge of all the attractions is great and he went out of his way to help us. If your holidaying here I can highly recommend a visit to the Queens Hotel for a drink in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, to get your information in a friendly knowledgeable place whilst you enjoy a drink and takeaway or meal if the new chef fin in place.

This place is a total dive. We went thinking it might be goos from the outside but the bar was a very odd locals place with dogs and cheap lager, broken dirty chairs and smokers on the fire exit. No proper beer. A very odd place. Nothing like the review photos here.

Called in for a drink and a bite to eat while staying within walking distance during a bike trip. Quite tired looking interior and a sticky bar awaited us. Ordered some drinks and one of the glasses turned out to have lip stick on it. Pointed this out and the drink was tipped into another glass for us. Asked about food but they don't do any at the moment. Headed out to the beer garden as the sun was out...basically a gravel and weedy smoking area with lots of cigarette butts laying around. Generally seems a bit down on its luck at the moment...COVID and low tourism can't have helped I assume.

We came for a quick breakfast in the hotel, the food was lovely and hot. Matt who served us was friendly and accommodating, would recommend to those coming to stay local as it’s reasonably priced and food is tasty.

The bar staff were excellent but WOW ! The chef gave us the best meal we've had in ages. Wife had fish and I had chicken. We had not expected this and the chef came out to ask us how things were. We do hope that he gets the acclaim that he deserves and that business ramps up for the hotel in general.

There is times of the day where there's no alternative for having a coffee in town. We went here twice during our visit of Caernarfon. I did not take a coffee at the second visit as I didn't like it. It is less clean inside and everything seems a little loveless. The sweet cakes etc. are great though. At least, the products are rather inexpensive.

We made the mistake of going back to this pub having visited several times over the years, it was completely dead and the bar lady had a serious attitude problem, when two other guests arrived the bar woman was now siting in the corner and i pointed her out simple saying the bar woman was over there - she completely turned on me obviously annoyed i’d called her a bar woman ( she clearly wasn’t a solicitor) which also resulted in her partner becoming extremely aggressive and was expecting a physical assault to be taking place, luckily i managed to de escalate the situation which if full of locals would’ve only been worse. The woman clearly has mental health problems and probably a drug user and shouldn’t be working in an environment selling alcohol.

Alana is a scam artist. Sends damaged squashed and disgusting cakes and then refuses to refund, would not order again from these people

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome

We popped in without a booking but were happy to have our meal in the bar area. The service was good, prices reasonable and we both had the fish and chips which was excellent. We were staying nearby and would definitely return if we are in the area again.A beautiful location next to the sea.
