Queens Head Frodsham in Cheshire West and Chester

Lovely dinner at the Queens last night. We got the three course meal and a bottle of Malbec to share. Highly recommend the hake and the lamb. Kristina was great, made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you x

Best breakfast in Frodsham! Came here Monday morning as we were struggling to find somewhere in Frodsham open early enough for breakfast and came across the queens head, staff were very friendly and helpful in offering teas and coffees, and the breakfast were amazing will definitely return in future!

Had a couple of drinks on a few occasions over the course of a couple of weeks and the Staff were excellent, a few to mention being Kristina, Tony and Emma, would highly recommend people visit

Had a lovely meal at The Queens Head, Frodsham, food was really nice, good wholesome food, we had Steak & Venison pie and Lamb Shank, its a lovely pub, lovely ambience, seating front and back also. We love coming to the Queens Head in Frodsham it has become our new favourite place to go! The food is always spot on, we actually came here on Christmas Day last year and we would definitely come again! The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and they always have the newest drinks and a massive selection! Would recommend this pub to anyone we love it here.

We were let down for our booking at another pub in Frodsham and were looking for somewhere for a meal, we came across the queen’s head who were very accommodating and able to suit our needs, nothing was too much tomorrow and the staff looked after us during our visit, we didn’t even need to leave our seats! Food was delivered quickly and tasty and the desserts were to die for! Will definitely be returning in future lovely to see staff that care about a business

We visited the Queen’s Head as a family of four for dinner. Firstly the staff were really accommodating in moving our table to a quiet area of the pub and secondly we had a really friendly and helpful waiter called Ryan who couldn’t have done more to help us. The food was very nice and there is a great selection of IPAs and ales.

Came in for drinks with friends last weekend, what a great pub! New draught products are all reasonable priced and was recommended a good pint by Toby, great service from the staff and the food coming out looked great

Tonight I visited with my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Simba and Loki. I was served by Emma for the evening. I was very surprised by how speedy service was - noticeably faster than your average place, especially for a very bustling Saturday night! I was completely put at ease as someone visiting alone, Emma was super approachable and helpful. There was even a doggy menu - I was delighted! We were sat near the bathrooms but this meant the dogs got all the attention and people were so kind. I ordered the steak, medium rare, and it was cooked exactly as I wished. Everything was delicious and I was very happy to leave a tip. If only we lived more locally!

Decided to go for a Sunday meal so called the pub to ask what time they will be serving food and the reply was 20.00 so said we will come at 18.00. On entering there was a group drinking so we took up a side room to ourselves and settled in. We ordered roast dinners and as we paid in 2 parties we asked all the dinners to be brought together, this didn't happen, therefore 3 of our party had nearly finished by the time the rest of the food came. The food itself I would expect from a school dinner and was very disappointed. We ordered roast dinners and the gravy actually stayed in the gravy boat and had to be scooped out with a fork. The rest of the food was very underwhelming with the Yorkshire pudding being like a biscuit and shooting across the table when attempting to cut. After eating the best we could, the younger of our table asked for dessert so we ordered at the bar and after a little wait the server tried to squeeze the plates on the table alongside the dinner plates which hadn't been cleared away. I then started to take our plates to the bar and he realised and started to clear the table. Needless to say that tonight's experience has been really poor, particularly as there were very few people in there.

Long story short, the drinks took 15 minutes to come out (although it was dead), the mugs were dirty so needed returning, the full English didn’t come with bloomer bread or Cumberland sausages like advertised and the tomatoes was raw. Also, the avocado and egg on toast cost £7.50!!! See picture. It’s so bad it’s laughable. Won’t return.

Just had a lovely cooked breakfast (more like brunch timewise) enjoyed by the whole family including our 7 year old daughter. Great quality, proper pub grub, perfectly cooked, friendly and accommodating service. We’re lucky to have so many choices in Frodsham, the Queens Head is certainly up there at the top of the list for when you want some friendly pub grub with more of a buzz and atmosphere than the quieter restaurants. Very well set up for sports viewing with lots of TV’s everywhere including in the massive beer garden.

We have just celebrated our friends birthday here and had a great afternoon/ evening in their canopied area in the garden. We had drinks and some snacks and some great cocktails!! A special mention for Ryan who was one of the servers on the day who were so polite and friendly and served us throughout our day, so thank you! The food was lovely and highly recommend!! A great place to go to in Frodsham.

Great atmosphere. The foreign girl was very kind and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The lovely staff made us aware of the great deal on cocktails.

Had a lovely experience the food was lovely but to top off a great time at the pub was the service from the waiter called Ryan he had excellent Manners and well presented and nothing was a problem for him everything we asked he was happy to help us with. Such a credit to the pub having such a great lad working for them. Ryan keep doing your job at the great way you do and you will go far in life.

Fabulous full English Breakfast watching the women’s World Cup final. Shame about the result, fab service from Archie. Pub was buzzing well done to Toby and all the team.

My husband and I called in for lunch and was served by the most pleasant and helpful young man. He brought our drinks to our table and took our order with a smile and a chat. When our ordered arrived he made sure we had everything we needed. His name was Archie what a credited to such a lovely pub well done

Lovely food, great staff including Becky who was really good checking with my wife who is dairy free an double checked with everything for her we had starter an main each food was spot on it’s dog friendly too we visited here why staying in the glamping pods down the road. Would definitely recommend this place
