Dirty tables and most unfriendly personel.

The prices are going up but the quality of food isn't, most sandwiches and paints etc over £5. It's a nice space to sit and chill as long as it's not over busy but if they keep hiking the prices people will vote with their feet! Greggs is usually only a few yards away these days and much better value for money!

I enjoyed my visit here. I sat and read and enjoyed a cappuccino and breakfast roll (offer). It would be great to have some more cosy seating

he was late as he wouldn't get out of the car! I am not happy about this at all, I had to go to the car to collect my order

Went here this morning for light breakfast and good service good coffee and brown bread toast even bought it over very kind thanks guys great atmosphere 😀 👍

The staff are always very warm and friendly.

Good location and nice interior. Coffee up to the normal costa standard but service a little slow considering store was almost empty, guess they need more staff, rather than just 2 guys

A very long wait only to be served by a very surly woman, order incomplete and when I asked which coffee was nondairy told me I could smell it. Really??

My toasty come not even toasted. if i wanted to make my own toasty i’d have done it at home and not payed for one !!

We went in to day at 11am the 2 young men just don't listen when you order. Need supervision get a manager in their

no extras which i asked for, no caramel sprinkles and barely any caramel in my frappe and the tuna melt wasn’t in stock so replaced with a tomato and cheese one. the lateness made both hot food items lukewarm at best and not as enjoyable.

I paid for 2 toastys a croissant and large latte. Receieved only 1 toasty to hard to eat. No croissant and cold latte that looked like instant coffee

I have a lactose intolerance and most often substitute cows milk for coconut milk in all my hot drinks. The same applies when I order from coffee shop. I ordered a orange hot chocolate and asked for coconut milk instead of cows milk, but was given cows milk. When I have visited here in the past, I’ve had to stop the baristas using cows milk and remind them I asked for coconut. This time, I was not able to as I was caught up at the till. Not ideal.

We stopped off while shopping as they were not busy. Had no cups available so had to have take out cups even though we were drinking in. Drink was ok but my cup leaked so ended up with hot chocolate all down me. Not the best look.

Going almost every day 7 days a week and I notice weekend staff is absolutely rubbish luck of knowledge and full of attitude if you dont like it don’t work you asking for takeway, they can not put on lids properly and you burn yourself if you ask dont put on the lids on they say they have to god know where they touched or what they handled before they making your coffee, proper germ house

Beautiful made drinks (two male colleagues working well together), cozy and spotless environment as expected at Costa, more importantly-out of the rain. Thanks

Visited this Costa today for the first time. Although I found the staff member who served me to be very enthusiastic and jolly I found the wait time rather long and once seated with drinks the place itself was rather noisy and didn't feel all that cozy. My brothers drink was warm not hot despite being made only a minute eariler. I think if I came again it would be a takeout as I did feel to have a conversation I had to talk very loudly to be heard over the noise.

Very little choice of food. Coffee was made with wrong milk. Toilets are dirty, behind the counter is dirty with rubbish on the floor, un washed jugs etc. There were 5 customers in and 3 staff being the Counter. Doesn't look good hygiene wise.

Great place to nip in for a quick coffee and slice.

Costa is een keten als Starbucks in de zin dat het gaat om koffie. In de UK is koffie meestal slootwater. Maar bij Costa je gewoon een goede bak koffie krijgen en desgewenst iets lekkers erbij.

Nice little place. Coffee and toast was good. Shop was a little dirty... tables Nd floor. Shame.

Always busy. Tables full of dirty dishes. Cakes very tasty. Coffee good. Service slow and was asked same questions over again as if not listening. Not enough staff.

It's a Costa so you get exactly what you expect. Remember to download the app as every eight purchases gets you a free drink. Recommended.

Seems like the air conditioning has been broke for sometime. Staff shouldn’t work in these hot conditions, I feel sorry for them. Management had only hired a tiny air conditioner that was sat at the back of the cafe, completely ineffective. Says it all really, walked out without ordering given how they treat their employees.

Popped in here for a cappuccino whilst in town. The coffee was nicely done with good WiFi, but it was extremely hot in there due to the hot weather and its not geared up for it

Busy Cafe in central Chester so service was a bit slow. Good size cafe with seating inside and outside. Servers were pleasant and attentive.

Didn’t get delivered to me says delivered on app but it hasn’t been. Not restaurants fault drivers fault

Opens nice and early. Lovely servers, no loud music, always clean.

I felt welcome ,as I was dressed in my work gear,and it was pointed out , as I scanned my QR code ,would I like to use my free bean , I said yes , and he also offered me the choice of a large cup , as I had asked for a medium cup , so yes it was a pleasant experience .

I come to Costa coffee in Watergate Street on first time. I was serving to Costa coffee in St Michael Street on previous times. 😁

A nice "typical looking" Costa located in one of the many streets of Chester.Surrounded by Black and White buildings it really is in a nice position.We had two of our favourite orange chocolate drinks but they accidentally forgot to give us our free chocolate orange treats. Thankfully they found a great big bag of them under the counter.

Was Christmas shopping in Chester and popped into Costa for a brew, lovely staff here and always clean and quite spacious too.

Only give it 3 for atmospheric because it's always cold inside but great coffee.

Visited Chester. Spent £8.40 on two luke warm festive hot chocolates that looked nothing like the pictures. Came with a small squirt of cream, no spinkles or chocolate bar which is all in the price. Staff rude and didn't care. We visit Costas a lot up and down the country but this one is dire.

Just dropped in for a large cappuccino Cafe short staffed which is expected in this current climate. Restaurant clean but only 2 staff so tables cannot be cleared when vacated. Not their fault. Cappuccino lovely as always. Costa is always very popular. Shame brexit has caused this.

Its a Costa coffee, what more can you say. Satisfactory although there's a limited range of coffee: regular, decaf and the "character roast". We had a voucher which made the price more reasonable.

Prepared another customers take out before ours even though we were first. It appeared they knew them, bit annoying. But same standard of coffee as usual. 🙂 Another visit, teacake was ok but had the new toblerone hot chocolate, a bit too much for me, thought it was a bit sickly but im sure others will love it, its all personal taste. 😀

Typical Costa Shop with friendly team serving. Obviously popular by the number of people using. I had to go back outside to find a phone signal for my app to work and the ream were very helpful and patient - learning point here to download any offer bar code before entering the shop 😁

Fast service friendly staff ,millionaire shortbread was excellent, only problem couldn't connect to the WiFi or use own data due to construction of building, so had to go outside to get the app to work to claim rewards ,not a problem if they aren't busy

For lunch time the counter was under staffed. The coffee was good and the tiffin lovely, just tests your patience when you wait so long to place a simple order

Fantastic customer service and a great selection of food and drinks. The staff are beyond helpfull and the place was clean and well stocked. Great location for lunch or a tea/ coffee/ soft drink if you are in chester city cenre. Will 100% be going back

Cheese toastie was cold and tough, which was disappointing My drink did not have the right name of coffee on lid, but tasted fine so was just a minor error millionaires shortbread was perfect as were the mini shortbreads
