Costa Coffee in Cheshire West and Chester

I visit Northwich regularly and me, my mum and my little girl often pop in here on a weekend , I love that there's now and upstairs too. The staff are pleasant but especially ! The barista that is usually on at a weekend , short cropped hair with tattoos ( sorry I don't know his name ,) he is so friendly and nothing is to much trouble for him , he's lovely and one of the nicest people I've ever been served by ....... I honestly don't think this Costa would be the same without him , he's a real credit to it and gives it something that little bit extra.

This Costa is hands down one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been. Lauren, the manager, creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, supported perfectly by Radka’s calm, kind presence and Rick’s infectious energy and good vibes. The whole team is made up of genuinely lovely people who go out of their way to make every visit feel personal and positive. It’s more than just coffee here, it’s a place where you feel truly valued and like at home!

Friendly staff, we were served very pleasantly, staff so helpful, they brought our order to the table so not having to stand and wait. I have a mild disability, staff so kind.

Love it here always made so welcome and my latte is always perfect. I even get chocolate sprinkles mine.whats not to love !

The ladies working here today were fantastic. It was a busy morning rush with only two and they just took it in their stride and were very friendly. Great work. Also happy that Costa has moved to Alpro, I couldn’t stand the other non-dairy milk.

Poor service! Driver was at the restaurant for ages waiting to pick up the food and the delivery time changed 3 times!!

Honestly love going in. Staff always super friendly and patient. Particularly Rich who gave my toddler marshmellows and big smiles! Will be returning

Ordered two drinks, a toastie and a wrap. Order received of two drinks only and the receipt says “Sorry no wrap or ham & cheese toasties Costa :)”

Received a warm welcome from the colleague who served me, who also maintained a quality conversation about the seasonal drinks and snacks, personally I found this useful and informative and also much better than an awkward silence whilst waiting for drink to be made! Great service. I've been back a couple of times since and always experience the friendly atmosphere, the inside is well presented with ample seating which is kept fresh and clean. The quality of the food and drinks is always of a high standard.

Poor choice of food and was burnt on arrival.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the new venue for Costa is not as enjoyable as the previous location. The new premises regularly closes off the quieter upstairs seating area early on a regular basis. This results in those choosing to work whilst enjoying a beverage are forced to either relocate in the noisier downstairs area if there is room or, find a new venue. Closing off the upstairs early also stops customers from using the regular toilet facilities, leaving only the disabled toilet for 30+ customers. There has also been a high staff turnover since the relocation which has also negatively affected the experience. Although the two long standing staff members remain exceptional in their quality of service, the newer members struggle to deliver good communication, customer service or good infection control in relation to general cleaning of toilet areas, floors etc. This is obviously an area of service which could be improved by further customer service and health & safety training. I look forward to hopefully seeing the new venue develop and succeed as I have been a customer of Costa in Northwich for more than 10 years.

Always a long time getting served. Toast and tea cakes are now served in an ugly white what looks like a fish shop tray. The coffee is hot and miss depending on who’s making it. The till is also breaking down. The place and service is very, very tired. Oh but the staff on their day gets priority serving even though the queue is out of the door and people have left

Drinks were freezing after taking 80 minutes to deliver, being pushed back twice, i would give them no stars if it would let me

All present and correct. Cold drinks separate from hot, food still warm but not sweaty. Good job!!

So the new store has to receive deliveries at from the front. This meant a lot of crashing about, cages banging when trying to enjoy a quiet coffee.

Costa and the crew have moved from their previous location to 51-53 The High Street, Northwich. As always, the welcome is warm and inviting from the costa barista crew. The new venue is modern, comfortable, bright and a refreshing environment to relax and enjoy your chosen brew. My one downside would be that at the moment, there is only one toilet available to customers, with no mirror or hanging place for your personal items whilst using the facility. There are more toilets upstairs but these are not available at present. Hopefully, the upstairs will be available to customers soon.

Excellent coffee served by friendly staff

This is my second and last time with Costa Northwich! Last time ordered 3 items - 2 drinks and a millionaire shortbread. Easy order? No - shortbread was missing (although charged). Today, I ordered 2 bubble drinks and I received 7 thin straws.... Whoever makes and packs drinks, could apply a bit of thinking - should I use straws as chopsticks? I think when ordering a 5£ drink I can expect a matching straw...... Shame!!!!

Our first and last visit to this costa coffee in Northwich.. my daughter popped in for two oat milk cappuccino’s whilst I was having my nails done, both coffees were burnt, I took them back myself and on my return I was met with rude customer service, I explained the coffees were burnt and please could he remake them for me… Bruno refused to believe he had made these coffees, he kept shaking his head and kept asking was I sure they were from this costa coffee.. he started whispering to another member of staff telling her about these coffees… not only did he not apologise for making an awful cup of coffee, he was making out that I was a liar…. he picked up the oat milk and repeated himself saying he hadn’t made the coffees… at this point I just wanted my money back, I asked for a refund instead and he said ok I will make them again for you.. I just not to bother and I’ll just take the refund, the girl on the till said me not to make a fuss and handed me a partial refund. These two member of staff need to be retrained not only on their front of house customer service but clearly in improving their barista skills, as this would of been avoided. Unhappy, dissatisfied & disappointed customer.

Constructive criticism. This Costa is in desperate need of refurbishment. And extra staff as when it gets busy the team is clearly under a lot of pressure. The place feels outdated and dirty with its very old stained wall paint and mucky floor throughout. There's always an unpleasant lingering smell which you can feel as soon as you walk in and it is very dark for some reason. Not a pleasant coffee shop in any way. It's a shame as I love their coffee and the location, but sadly I have been avoiding it for the past year and go to another nearby coffee shop instead. I hope things change.

Shame the driver knocked lightly and left food on door step, if I hadn't been in the hall way I wouldn't have heard them, and my items would have gone cold.

Took back all my empty take out cups. Did my part for the environment.

Staff are very nice, they take allergies seriously and made sure to clean equipment to minimise cross contamination.

Very fast friendly service. I had the cherry and almond slice, which was excellent. My friend had the Toblerone cup cake, which was a little dry.

Ordered for a takeaway latte, place very busy with a long queue, staff looks busy and tired but they keep the smile in their faces, friendly and helpful, even offer to redo another drink of a customer.

Northwich retail park is the best turned worst costa there is! A great new store opened a few years back and there were no issues for a long time however now the staff are tired grouchy and disheartened. The store started to go downhill around a year ago when a new area manager joined the force but the big change to this store happened when P*****e w****t was assigned to the manager post. I have visited the store daily for years but now won’t go back I think the worst encounter was when I witnessed her racially abuse a staff member on the counter. Generally she is lazy and spend most of her time walking round with a cloth while the other staff struggle during peak hours and it is having a clear negative impact on the staff moral.Get rid of this waste of space and get this store back to being a great store once again!

Coffee was as good as it has always been. We sat outside which unfortunately means you have to put up with cigarette smoke. When I went inside to use the toilet I realised it was safely set out and may try inside next time.

I visited costa coffee Northwich retail park just before the store was shut down due to the corona virus. The staff were friendly and professional as always however the new area manager was in store and I witnessed her being extremely unpleasant to the store manager. Disgraceful.

I collect food that would otherwise go to waste as a food waste hero distributing for Olio a national network combating food waste. For the last week Costa Northwich-Leicester street donated amazing food which I passed on to local charities for homeless plus families in isolation and the emergency services staff at M6 services Northwich ambulance station and Leighton Hospital NHS staff. The team @ this Costa are amazing they really care about their customers and the community... they're even giving free coffee now to NHS staff now their on takeaway service only!
