Might have been a one off but I ordered at 2130, told to collect at 2200 and it wasn't ready until 2230, the staff were apologetic, I think the kitchen staff lost my order. The food is expensive and not as good (in my opinion) than other Indian takeaways/restaurants we have used in the past.

The food was delicious and the waiters were super helpful and appropriately attentive. The only disappointment was the fact that they had run out of every desser ( apparently they were waiting on the order being delivered so it wasn't just that night) we were interested in and the only one offer was apple pie! How difficult would it have been to have sourced a lemon roulade or lemon meringue dessert from a local supermarket? The coffee machine was also playing up and the coffee was served cold. Stuff happens and we realise this but it was our 40th anniversary and we wanted it to be special so we weren't 100% impressed. Would we go back? not sure....

Met up with friends and had a lovely meal here earlier this week. Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We'll be going again!

Well worth a visit great food and a beautiful setting

Overpriced and underwhelming! Last year the same restaurant was much better but after establishing a customer base the portions are now smaller! The introductory popadoms came with separately priced dips which were removed once the popadoms were finished! The king prawn madras literally had two prawns split lengthwise to appear as more. The kulfi was melted and the waiter laughed about it and the classic gulab jamon was only one piece with a small ice cream dollop! Last year the same dessert contained four pieces! After dinner the waiters hovered asking had we finished, do we want to order anything else. A miserable attempt to free up the table! We won’t be back!

Authentic Indian food - menu offers plenty of choice, both Indian and British options. Visited on Monday evening and plenty of diners so good atmosphere. Think would need to book if later in week.

Ordered at just after 7pm and it wasn’t delivered until 8:40. We only live a mile away so wasn’t expecting to have to wait so long. We would have collected had we known it would take so long. Food was lovely when it eventually arrived but delivery time was disappointing

Had a takeaway Friday night. Very nice. I would point out there wasn’t a lot of chicken in mine. But it did taste good.My son had the lamb and said it was so tender. Delivery was quick. Definitely will have another takeaway.

Advertised set menu, when we got there said we couldnt have it but we could have fish & chips ??? manager rude, virtually threw the food at us, I asked for a bhuna NOT HOT, that hot couldnt eat evan with yoghurt, the other curry 5 pieses of chicken, when the bill came he had wrote Medium Hot, poor food , poor service.

Great food . Very tasty need to be mindful of spice as luckily for me I like spice but was not expecting the kick from what I read on the menu. So probably worth a mention to the waiter if you don’t like things really spicy. . Things that we could not see on the menu, we asked and they obliged . Will definitely be going there again.. my only negative was no after eight mints Give them when we pay the bill .

Great food. portions a bit on the small side but will definitely be our new stop for when we are after some Indian food. Recommend the Railway Lamb special 👌🏻

Lovely food, perfect spice level as requested.

Keen staff, quick service as I ordered on arrival, food a bit short on content however - a bit of a case of spot the chunks of meat - and the flavours seem a bit 'non-standard', which is fine when they're better than standard.

Paid nearly £20 for a mixed tikka main, the amount of meat is the size you normally get in a starter, the quality of meat was terrible, no rice or naan came with it either. Chips were soggy. Overall over priced and quality is not worth it

Awful. Ordered and the order was wrong and incomplete to be told we would be sorted out our shortfall next time. Called up and spoke to the manager again and then he tried to tell me I had most of my order and I wouldn’t get the missing items back. £19:50 for a mixed tikka starter 🙄and then to be haggled with next time on your missed order. Won’t be going again and telling others to avoid.

Delicious top quality food! Very small portions though for the price.

Now an Indian restaurant. Work in progress. Indian food is nice.

Visited for the first time. There was an ant on our table that paid us more attention than the waiters. We named him Scott 😊 asked the waiter if the Poppadoms are gluten free and his response was “I don’t know. But they are very crunchy and tasty” food was ok but nothing special unfortunately.

The food was absolutely amazing not a single bad meal had on a large booking table. I personally had the Lamb Balti and the lamb was so soft and tender and taste of the curry was unreal. The only thing that lets the restaurant down is being asked every 5 minutes if we wanted any more drinks to a point where it got awkward. Food is amazing! Just leave customers to come to the bar to grab drinks!!

Loved it. Felt like a special meal out, even though it was just a quick family dinner on a Thursday evening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and service was quick. Can't fault the food at all, every dish we had was bang on. We'll be back, very soon!

We decided to go out for dinner last minute and managed to get an early evening booking. The restaurant has cozy decor and is welcoming. The staff were very attentive and helpful as well as being generally friendly and polite. The food was amazing and there was no sign of bright red food dye like you often see at India no restaurants and takeaways. We had onion bhaji and vegetable samosa to start. Both dishes were really fresh and tasty. For main we had chicken sashlik, lamb balti, mushroom fried rice and keema naan. Again the main dishes were very fresh and tasty with balanced spices (not hot because we chose milder dishes). We will be going here again without a doubt.

So I’m a bit disappointed really. The service is a bit sketchy with big time delays between people’s meals being served. The beer is terrible and tastes nothing like what is advertised. Food wasn’t bad tho! It’s now also looked like a building site outside for a few years, very un inviting and scruffy, outside, this used to be a popular summer time location but not anymore. Beware of the carpark potholes also as you could get some damage if not on the look out. I think a good manager is needed to bring this place up to scratch, it really could be a great pub given a chance.

Wow!!! Food was so good. Went for the special offer for £16.95. Menu had so many good things to choose from and what we had was well worth the money and great portions. Would definitely come back. Service was very friendly.

We ordered a takeaway for collection as a family and thought the dishes tasted and looked fantastic. This will be our regular place to go now to eat in or takeout.

Went a couple of months back for the 1st time , food and service were great....decided to go again recently, car park full of massive potholes upon entry, building was freezing, heating radiators were on, but very low, toilets were not clean-my wife said the ladies was not the best, cobwebs hanging from the lighting, and generally not clean, or haven't been cleaned for some time by the looks on the day, view of waste food outside too, not good. Coffee ordered, milk poured in was lumpy, left that...popadoms weren't fresh a bit soft due to age....the sauces served with the popadoms were minimal amounts in the containers, ok if you're on a diet...other food cooked well and fair value....no music in the background which meant you had to whisper to have a private conversation-background music put on at low volume after an hour....cobra beer just under £7 for a bottle? No draught beers. Then it came to payment, was asked to.pay by cash, we said what? Then was told it was due to the card machine not working properly,then the internet signal (signal was fine) other tables we noticed were asked the same, then we got told that it was both our cards that were at fault not the machine....not the best thing to say to a returning customer....apalling thing to say, so, paid by bank transfer....they obviously knew of the problem before we and other customers walked in, not a word to any of us....no spare machine either, don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. Sad really as it had the makings of a good restaurant, but now it's a fair bit short of that, getting the basics right is a minimum standard for every business, they need to get back to doing that.

Lovely atmosphere, good selection of food to choose from, everything was fresh and hot, would recommend you try it, you won't be disappointed.

Been to the Queens many times, but this was the best ever! The new chef cooked authentic, really tasty food and the service was excellent. We ate from the 4 courses for £16.95 menu and it was very good value for money. Definitely will be back soon!

Visited for the first time..the server who came to take the order was very rude and unfriendly..he wanted everything to be ordered at once.without making at several instances. When I said I will have alook at the rice dishes which I ordered and then go for additional.... he said he doesn't have time since it's a Friday night..but we saw he was very friendly with the British people seated next to us serving as and when they ask.. This is my last visit..I will never recommend to anyone....felt ashamed of service given by Asian...

This was our first time eating at The Queens Brentford and won’t be our last … The food was incredibly tasty and plentiful. We received good service and the atmosphere was lovely although next time we will ask for a table in the main bar area as it was a lot warmer and cozier than the seating area to the rear. There was plenty to choose from off the menu as well as the 4 course special offered on the board. We would definitely recommend you try this gem, you won’t be disappointed. See you again soon!

On a cold and seriously wet Thursday night in February there were a fair few made the trip out. The service was good the food was fine, they flexed the menu to suit our needs.

Visited 28/04/2023 and it was our first time here, so not seen it before the much-mentioned refurbishment. It seemed like a lovely place to me. We booked online which was quick and easy and were swiftly led to our table and given menus. We ordered drinks and they came swiftly, followed by poppadoms and the mains. The food was really nice. We had Indian food and didn't sample the pub grub type food. It was classic Indian in one sense, but each dish seemed to have some kind of interesting twist. There was something sprinkled on top of the Pilau rice for example which had a really unique flavour but only briefly. My curry had some long thin sticks of ginger on top (see pics). But it was all lovely. My wife has the lamb passanda, and I had chicken karai, and both were superb. Spice levels were indicated clearly on the menu and seemed accurate to me. There were all kinds of layers of flavour within my chicken karai so each mouthful was interesting. Very impressed. We felt like it had a really good atmosphere actually. It was medium-busy with a friendly hubub of chatter. There was some music playing. The decor was pleasant. It all seemed clean. The menus were professional in nice cases. The staff were attentive and I get the impression they'd have bent over backwards to ensure we had a nice time. They called me by my name when asking if we wanted the bill - a personal touch that shows they like to make an effort. Overall we had a very nice time. If I was being super picky I could pick out a few shortcomings. Firstly, the staff were a little uncoordinated. We were asked twice by different people if we wanted drinks, and if we wanted poppadoms, and then 3 different people asked how our food was after it arrived. Better to be asked 3 times than not at all, but it was a little disruptive and they could probably have communicated about who was serving us. Secondly, the service was a bit too fast. We had drinks, poppadoms, mains and were paying within 35 minutes. Thirdly our naan didn't come out until we were about half way through our mains. I'd rather have waited a few more minutes and had it together. Fourth we asked for a poppadom each and were given and charged for 3, and finally there were no little chockies with the bill! I always love those at Indian restaurants. Those are picky little things, and I've taken off 1 star for them all. Overall a nice place which will hopefully become our local! We will definitely be coming back as its right round the corner and the food was so nice. I'd recommend you give it a try. Edit: came back here 09/08/2023 and things felt a bit different. They had new menus and they felt a bit more settled. The food was absolutely exquisite. I had the chicken balti this time and loved every mouthful. The issue with food timings had cleared up completely - perfect amount of time between ordering and starter, and between starter and main. However this time the drinks were a bit of a disaster - very slow to arrive and then they were wrong! Edit: Returned on 10/02/2024 and this time the service was really quite bad. It was very busy and we waited a long time for our food. A table nearby waited 1hr 40 mins before getting their starters! They didn't seem to know where any food or drink should be going. Some waiters were almost running. Guests were complaining everywhere about the slow service. We had to ask multiple times for the drinks we ordered. We'd booked but they clearly hadn't saved us a table. I don't think they should accept so many people if they can't serve them all. They have also chosen to removed the pub-grub menu. The food was still absolutely lovely though!!

We went here because a family member raves about this place. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. We ordered a £60 platter, and honestly it was not worth the money, hardly any meat on the platter, food was dry, I couldn't tell you what we had paid for. Then we were told to bank transfer money to pay our bill! I overheard so many complaints, and I did say to the server you have to tell people this before they order. His response was we tried to call everyone, I then told him I was not called and I even called earlier to change my table time with no mention it's cash or bank transfer. I would avoid this place as it's not what it used to be

Previous meals have been nice until last night .Ordered starters where not hot .Balti was like a tesco curry wasn't impressed for a group paying 150 pounds .service is either rushed or you have to go and find them to order food or drinks .DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! .

Food was excellent couldn't fault it. Service was not so good. My wife asked for chicken and she was given lamb, this was changed quickly. The table next to us, a couple with two young boys waited over an hour for there food only to be told that they didn't have a burger for one of the boys. There was also a large family in with young children running all over the place and the adults shouting at them. We may have caught them on a bad day.

I saw the Facebook advertisement for the restaurant and decided to come and eat here for the first time with my family but the staff were not organised and their english was very poor. We waited over an hour for our order to be taken only to find out the person taking the order was unprofessional. This was the same complaint given by my next table. The restaurant looks nice and plenty of space for parking and food was good.

This restaurant was a big surprise for me. The food and service was amazing everything was piping hot and very tasty. I shall be returning.

I already gone this restaurant, but that time the food is fresh and good . But last time that’s really snappy service . last time grilled food was not properly cooked, and we order “Venderloor chicken ccan’t pieces that curry😳 . and I sabut they brings sweet, I really worry about the food,1 small pices chiken and 3pices potato so that is not chicken curry. and importantly when I eating I was share that grill with my kids , they ate but next day they are loose motion .They are stopped school 2 days. When I gone last time I refer my frds. But no after this service

we came for a midweek outing for dinner and decided to try The Queens Head! we were pleasantly surprised with all of the aspects of our visit. We shared a chicken tikka masala and a vegetable kurai and both dishes were faultless. Both had delicious, different flavour palates and we completely polished off both dishes. The service was excellent and was reasonably priced also! we will definitely be back!

Indian food was all too sweet. Lasagne had about 1cm of cheese on top. Several drinks just tasted of soda or needed the barrel changing. Staff were having a massive fight in the kitchen.

Went for my mums birthday meal, would not recommend. The food was bland and the service was not that great. Felt like the waiters were shouting and rushing everything to the point where they smashed a plate which all fell on the guests lap and no apology, ordered garlic nan which tasted like peshawari nan, the railway lamb just standard lamb curry and bland even though we asked for desi style. all the food ordered was not that nice. They strongly suggested a meat platter ( probably for ease for them) it was ok. We only went due to the reviews however wish we didn’t, will not be going there again! Don’t think they can handler large groups. They tried to pass a hot Tawa dish to my niece when it was piping hot! Could’ve burnt her hand.

We came here for Christmas Curry We had a large private dining area which was lovely albeit a little cold Great attentive service They provided us with a set starter which was nice and good value There were 16 of us so did very well to get all the food out hot and on time They have done it up but the toilets are still vintage shall we say but clean Don't be put off by the car park it is a work I progress I would recommend this place for a curry it was yummy

Disappointing experience. Tried this place as it was advertised heavily for their customer service and their unique menu. Christmas menu not available despite being advertised as available for the whole month of December. In the end ordered their regular curries which were very tasty. Customer service was a big let down. Read your bill very carefully as we had extra things added. We told staff to take some of the drinks off the bill as we never had them, they brought the bill back wrong again. It took them 3 attempts to get the bill right. When eating I asked for water twice, it never came. We were given one small napkin which wasn't enough. I asked for another napkin but I never got one. The place was also very cold inside and I was debating putting my jacket on. Next time I will probably have the takeaway instead as it was tasty but would rather avoid their chaotic customer service.

We booked a table here for my dad's birthday after it being recommended. There were 7 of us. Myself and my husband got there first and almost got seated at a 2 seater table before I reminded them our booking was for 7 people. They sorted that pretty quickly so that was OK. Orders were taken and staff seemed friendly. It was a bit chaotic when food arrived with bits missing and too many naans at one point. Was all a bit confusing but got there eventually. I went for a '2' chilli pepper heat level curry which said spicy one level under vindaloo and so did my husband as we enjoy hot curries. Mine, a bhuna tasted like a chicken stew and looked the same colour as everyone else's who all had different dishes. Overall we all agreed the food was not that tasty and we wouldn't return. All our dishes tasted similar. When it came to the bill, was the most shocking and not the price which was actually quite reasonable. It was the staff attitude asking us to pay cash if we had it and when we said we hadn't he said we'll please pay cash if you have. We had already said we haven't. We wanted to split the bill between three couples and was then told we couldn't and could we bank transfer to each other? I have never been anywhere that won't take multiple card payments on a table especially when we were all paying approx £60 + each. Definitely wouldn't return after our experience as the food was not great and the attitude over payment was even worse. Shame because it actually looked like a nice place inside and did get busy with a nice mix of people and atmosphere

Being N Indian I can say this is not authentic Indian restaurant. They are serving anything in the name of Indian cuisine. ordered some starters and after that these prathas these were not cooked properly and took one whole day to digest lol. Best to buy from M&S Indian section than to dine here. Please improve your quality.

Very nice food with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Wide variety of Currys available with lots of different meats and all available as vegetarian. Good atmosphere with music playing and excellent service. Lots of options for sides (rice, chips, naan). Will be coming back regularly as it also provides some classic pub meals and has some new dishes soon.

Great service from start to finish. Large and varied menu. Our party of four first time visit we all had different mains after poppadoms and its acompliments. I had chicken Bhuna with side dish bombay potatoes and a plain naan. This was very good. No complaints from the rest of our party

Sunday roast was inedible, left most of it on the place. Partly my fault for choosing British cuisine at an Indian restaurant, but equally they shouldn't have it on the menu if they can't deliver.

The food is fantastic, but we went on a Saturday night and the service was poor. Very disappointed as we know how good it can be on a quiet night during the week.

Sunday lunchtime, decided to try the Indian menu,,,,,everything absolutely first class. Chilli chicken for myself and Lamb Rogan for my wife. All excellent along with the side dishes, will definitely return.

A nice welcome by the friendly staff. Drinks order taken very poorly saying they didn't have items in stock but then brought same items to other tables. Food excellent and served piping hot!!!!!! Remaining service poor no further enquiries for drinks or desserts . Brought the bill and begged (please sir!!!!) we pay cash even though they had a card machine!!!!!! Overall very happy with food but not the service 😑

I wasn't impressed with the vegetarian biryani as it wasn't fresh veg but tin. It was expensive for what it was. The waiting staff English wasn't the best and got confused. The lemonade taxtef more like soda.

WILL NEVER EVER GO AGAIN! Ordered tandoori chicken, cut in2 the chicken and blood poured out on2 my plate! They took it away, cooked another, while my rice and everything else sat on the table to go cold then brought me a cooked one. Never mind nearly having food poisoning and salmonella, but they even had the audacity to charge me for it!!!! The other dish we had, had no meat, but it was meant to!! Won't ever be going again! BE WARNED!
