Under new management! It was our first time visiting and couldn't believe how lovely the food was, from the starters, mains to the desserts! Completely forgot to take pictures but got the dessert picture at the end! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved how spacious it was and will definitely be recommending to friends and family to come and experience it for themselves!

Food is amazing at the restaurant the sheesh kebab and lamb chops are very fresh and so tasty. The chicken patia is fantastic dish to have at the restaurant. Big shout out to Anik who gave 10/10, service, overall the experience is superb definitely come down to Queens!!

A fabulous bank holiday meal spent at Queens Bretford. Waiters were attentive to our large group and were willing to go above and beyond. Importantly the food was delicious, plenty of flavour and large portions. Plenty of onsite car parking too. Highly recommended!

It was our first time visiting on Monday evening and we were not disappointed! This place is a great find, the whole experience was spot on. The food was amazing and we couldn’t fault the service. I would not hesitate in recommending Queens, we will 100 % be back!!

Lovely friendly place to eat. Service was five star and the food was hot and tasty. Only downside on our visit was the chips were a little undercooked and the car park has more craters than the moon..

Just had a curry was a bit apprehensive cos I heard it had changed hands but was not disappointed it was even better big massive chunks of chicken my husband had a narga it was so spicy but he loved it the service was next to none such a pleasant nice place will highly recommend it will be back xx

We found ourselves waiting around for a very long time before receiving our drinks, food, and even to collect the bill. We were sat at a small table by the bar and it was like we didn’t even exist. For all of those diners who sat in the main area were never having to wait around as there were a constant supply of waiters looking after them. We may give the restaurant a second chance as the food and portion sizes were very good.

Food was ok. As a Vege option, Paneer didn't have much taste. We ordered Raita which came out as 'plain raita' basically, plain yogurt.....thats not raita! The masala chips were a fries all mashed up with a slight hint of, I don't know what! Very pleasant staff. Can't relax though as they're constantly around you, talking loudly. Sorry won't be visiting again.

Our waiter Akhil was very attentive and friendly and smiling all the time. The food was delicious and plentiful. We will return soon.

I've known this place as a pub over a few decades but glad to see it still has some life now selling Indian food. I went on Sunday night. Plenty of free tables but still some people eating there. Friendly staff, good enough choice on the menu. Chicken Dansak had a nice tart level and moist chicken. Good size portions of rice. Chapati was a bit thicker than I'm used to, but maybe it was homemade? I like my dahl thick (not runny) and they were happy to oblige. Decor is a bit odd with wall paper to look like ends of wood - please change this, it's tacky! Yes I would go back and take photos next time!

Our visit started out badly it took 45 mins to get a drinks and we had a table that was clearly unusable due to being broken. Our waiter was new a clearly untrained and struggled with a big table so we had a word with the manager and things improved although the manager was conspicuous by his absence When we eventually got our food the quality was very good the only complaint was the grill platters whilst very nice were nothing like the description All in all it was ok but we wont rush back

Not delivered - states was due 19.55 - 20.15 suggesting that the order has been delivered.

There was 6 of us that had a meal last night ( 27th ) The meal and service was excellent will definitely go there again

Good size portions but was all cold

Four of us visited and had poppadoms, a starter each, a main each with either rice or naan and 2 drinks each. The bill came to £91. Fantastic value, the food was piping hot and very generous portions. I recommend the £16 meal deal. The staff were attentive and welcoming. We will definitely go again.

Lovely place, very friendly warm and welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble, portion sizes were great! Would highly recommend to anyone who’s a fan of big Portions. And the bill was very fair for all the food and drinks we had.

8 of us went for my husbands birthday, service was a bit slow but the food was delicious

We had a meal on Valentine's Day evening. They'd made a nice effort to decorate the tables. The food was very nice and the prices were pretty reasonable - between £9 and £16 for a main course dish. They serve classic English dishes as well as Indian food. The staff were all dressed in classic Indian clothing, which, we thought, was a nice thing and added to the place's identity as a 'proper' Indian restaurant. We'd go back if visiting the area again.

Tasty curry but v noisy, could hardly hear one another. Slow to clear and didn't offer dessert. Not sure of hygiene, dirty plate and cutlery given, hmmm.

Gone from 5* to nil. Never been in a restaurant were so many tables gave up waiting and left. Tried to order food for over hour, so joined the mass exodus. So sad previously had fabulous meals and service.

It took them a long time to get round to us, and the way they handled the bill was bizarre, but everything else was very good.

Great service from the start however quite a few issues arose when ordering. A few items on the menu we ordered weren’t available - including the whole English menu which is annoying as someone with allergies who sticks with what I know, was going to have a steak but oh well. This is still on the website too despite them apparently getting rid of the English menu ‘a few months ago’. Besides that the food was good yet it felt a bit cheap for the prices you pay

We have been to Queens quite a few times, last time we went something felt off, thought give it another try. When asked about old staff said days off and one or two left, but if you look deeper new plates, new layout, all new staff, some changes on how food comes out, changes to layout. Leads you to believe change of hands, plus reviews state change of management. The service, was okay, abit over bearing at times felt being watched with someone walking up and down next to table, felt awaked. Last people you felt atmosphere was great, the service was great, the people made it great and more enjoyable. The food, starters were good, the naan was good as well though could tell different than normal. The mains asked for two mushroom rice, got one and one normal. The curries sadly not like before very bland, to the fact partner doesn’t like any spice and states the lamb dish might as well been a bland stew, say it a stew she wouldn’t know difference. Sadly not as happy or pleased as old times we have been. Feel with some work could be good again. But will not be visiting for a while.

The food was very good, although a little short on portion size. However, the biggest issue we had was with the lack of clarity on pricing. The menu says there is a midweek special of 3 courses for £9.90 only to billed for twice this price. When raised with staff we were told that's the lunchtime price and that the price is on a separate board - which we hadn't seen. Why not have it clearly marked in the menu with all the other prices? There were other issues with the bill with charges for things which should have been included with what we'd ordered and the staff member started to argue that we'd not been charged for something - seemingly to offset this mistake, but it had to then be pointed out this wasn't the case as it had been changed but not clearly listed on the bill! This tainted what had been an enjoyable evening and because of this we won't be returning no matter how good the other parts of the meal had been.

New management we were told, very lengthy wait for service 3 rounds of drinks b4 any food arrived. Small starters Ordered poached salmon was served with chips & lumpy wallpaper paste type mash queried no veg got told they werent on slip. Food barely warm When bill arrived xtra drinks added although they did put it right after complaint

Beware, new ownership. This curry house was my favourite up until tonight. The food was still good except for a much smaller portions. The ice cream dessert was no larger than a teaspoon. Service was abysmal, nobody had a clue. Do not visit if you’re expecting your experience to be the same as last time.

Don't know who is in charge of reservations but you seriously need to fix your attitude. Absolute rude tone when speaking and had the nerve to be annoyed at me when they made the incorrect booking date. Save your money and go somewhere else and dont deal with these clowns

2nd order from here and again superb. Arrived on time and piping hot with free poppadoms again. Tried a chilli paneer fusion starter which was fantastic - cheese, chillies and Chinese sweet chilli sauce - and had a real kick ! Curry, rice and naan were all great too. New favourite…

First order with Queens as only a mile up the road. Food arrived on time and hot. Ordered 3 poppadoms and got 5, dips were lovely and plenty of them. Had a South Indian chilli chicken, which was a bit spicy as expected with 2 or 3 different types of chilli in, mushroom fried rice and cheese and chilli naan. All really well cooked and very tasty. Will definitely order again.

Absolutely fantastic food, clean and presented very well

Good experience for us-the food was delicious. The palak paneer was just how I like it, ditto the tarka dahl and the railway lamb curry and my chicken curry were lovely. We pass this place often going from Banbury to MIRA and are now very glad we stopped and tried it! Friendly and professional service too with a nice informal atmospherr and pleasant decor. We’ll be back next month if not before.

We were staying not far from the Queen's Brentford so decided to try out their indian fare as a change from pub food, though one of our number didn't feel like curry so it was convenient they had some British classics on their menu also. The staff were attentive and friendly and we were offered poppadoms and condiments on arrival which were tasty. I usually try to take a picture of our food but as soon as it arrived it smelt so good that we got stuck straight in. The railway lamb dish was a highlight! The servings were generous and filling, with lots of flavour. Thank you heaps!

Essentially an Indian restaurant, but also does Sunday Roast, very friendly staff, families welcome, caters for parties, nice atmosphere.

Been a few times ,and I must say every time we go the food has been amazing ,good authentic Indian food ,chicken bhunna great ,shashlik great ,would love to try something from the English menu but quite pricey ,cottage pie £12.90 I think ,was going to order one to take away to see if I liked it but the price put me off ,will definitely try a Sunday dinner at some point

Might have been a one off but I ordered at 2130, told to collect at 2200 and it wasn't ready until 2230, the staff were apologetic, I think the kitchen staff lost my order. The food is expensive and not as good (in my opinion) than other Indian takeaways/restaurants we have used in the past.

asked for butter chicken to have a bit of a kick and not be too sweet. As often it comes over sweet and too cocunutty like a korma! I tell you now… worst curry I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten a lot of it. It was like a load of the same spice was just thrown in! Far Too spicy, it was almost like they were taking the p*** because I asked for a ‘normal’ butter chicken. Trust me I’ve been to India and not many UK Indians know how to make an authentic BC but this was shocking. Really overpriced too.

Amazing food will 100% order again

The food was delicious and the waiters were super helpful and appropriately attentive. The only disappointment was the fact that they had run out of every desser ( apparently they were waiting on the order being delivered so it wasn't just that night) we were interested in and the only one offer was apple pie! How difficult would it have been to have sourced a lemon roulade or lemon meringue dessert from a local supermarket? The coffee machine was also playing up and the coffee was served cold. Stuff happens and we realise this but it was our 40th anniversary and we wanted it to be special so we weren't 100% impressed. Would we go back? not sure....

Met up with friends and had a lovely meal here earlier this week. Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We'll be going again!

Well worth a visit great food and a beautiful setting

Overpriced and underwhelming! Last year the same restaurant was much better but after establishing a customer base the portions are now smaller! The introductory popadoms came with separately priced dips which were removed once the popadoms were finished! The king prawn madras literally had two prawns split lengthwise to appear as more. The kulfi was melted and the waiter laughed about it and the classic gulab jamon was only one piece with a small ice cream dollop! Last year the same dessert contained four pieces! After dinner the waiters hovered asking had we finished, do we want to order anything else. A miserable attempt to free up the table! We won’t be back!

Authentic Indian food - menu offers plenty of choice, both Indian and British options. Visited on Monday evening and plenty of diners so good atmosphere. Think would need to book if later in week.

Ordered at just after 7pm and it wasn’t delivered until 8:40. We only live a mile away so wasn’t expecting to have to wait so long. We would have collected had we known it would take so long. Food was lovely when it eventually arrived but delivery time was disappointing

Had a takeaway Friday night. Very nice. I would point out there wasn’t a lot of chicken in mine. But it did taste good.My son had the lamb and said it was so tender. Delivery was quick. Definitely will have another takeaway.

Advertised set menu, when we got there said we couldnt have it but we could have fish & chips ??? manager rude, virtually threw the food at us, I asked for a bhuna NOT HOT, that hot couldnt eat evan with yoghurt, the other curry 5 pieses of chicken, when the bill came he had wrote Medium Hot, poor food , poor service.

Great food . Very tasty need to be mindful of spice as luckily for me I like spice but was not expecting the kick from what I read on the menu. So probably worth a mention to the waiter if you don’t like things really spicy. . Things that we could not see on the menu, we asked and they obliged . Will definitely be going there again.. my only negative was no after eight mints Give them when we pay the bill .

Lovely food, perfect spice level as requested.

Keen staff, quick service as I ordered on arrival, food a bit short on content however - a bit of a case of spot the chunks of meat - and the flavours seem a bit 'non-standard', which is fine when they're better than standard.

Awful. Ordered and the order was wrong and incomplete to be told we would be sorted out our shortfall next time. Called up and spoke to the manager again and then he tried to tell me I had most of my order and I wouldn’t get the missing items back. £19:50 for a mixed tikka starter 🙄and then to be haggled with next time on your missed order. Won’t be going again and telling others to avoid.

Paid nearly £20 for a mixed tikka main, the amount of meat is the size you normally get in a starter, the quality of meat was terrible, no rice or naan came with it either. Chips were soggy. Overall over priced and quality is not worth it

Visited for the first time. There was an ant on our table that paid us more attention than the waiters. We named him Scott 😊 asked the waiter if the Poppadoms are gluten free and his response was “I don’t know. But they are very crunchy and tasty” food was ok but nothing special unfortunately.

The food was absolutely amazing not a single bad meal had on a large booking table. I personally had the Lamb Balti and the lamb was so soft and tender and taste of the curry was unreal. The only thing that lets the restaurant down is being asked every 5 minutes if we wanted any more drinks to a point where it got awkward. Food is amazing! Just leave customers to come to the bar to grab drinks!!

Loved it. Felt like a special meal out, even though it was just a quick family dinner on a Thursday evening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and service was quick. Can't fault the food at all, every dish we had was bang on. We'll be back, very soon!

We decided to go out for dinner last minute and managed to get an early evening booking. The restaurant has cozy decor and is welcoming. The staff were very attentive and helpful as well as being generally friendly and polite. The food was amazing and there was no sign of bright red food dye like you often see at India no restaurants and takeaways. We had onion bhaji and vegetable samosa to start. Both dishes were really fresh and tasty. For main we had chicken sashlik, lamb balti, mushroom fried rice and keema naan. Again the main dishes were very fresh and tasty with balanced spices (not hot because we chose milder dishes). We will be going here again without a doubt.

So I’m a bit disappointed really. The service is a bit sketchy with big time delays between people’s meals being served. The beer is terrible and tastes nothing like what is advertised. Food wasn’t bad tho! It’s now also looked like a building site outside for a few years, very un inviting and scruffy, outside, this used to be a popular summer time location but not anymore. Beware of the carpark potholes also as you could get some damage if not on the look out. I think a good manager is needed to bring this place up to scratch, it really could be a great pub given a chance.

Wow!!! Food was so good. Went for the special offer for £16.95. Menu had so many good things to choose from and what we had was well worth the money and great portions. Would definitely come back. Service was very friendly.
