Very nice take away, always very good food

Food was poor quality and quantity was on smaller side Very disappointing considering the price

Wouldn’t accept card in person so had to order here which meant it was more expensive (please reconsider cash only). The food quality was also really poor, bland and stodgy. I will be finding another Chinese takeaway next time. I think maybe there’s new owners as it definitely used to take cash here and we were always really impressed with the quality.

The curry wasn't up to nothing taste fruity like lemon no spice rice tasted earthy absolutely disappointed after paying £39 what a rip off

Absolutely terrible, chicken was slimy and gave the impression it was under cooked. Flavour in general not right. Sweet n sour sauce tasted off. Mushroom chow mein was the only thing I’d give a 5/10. Spent £40 and approx £30 went in the bin.

fantastic service. My order came really fast so the food was nice and hot. the sweet & sour dish was perfect! the pork was crunchy, the sauce wasn't gloopy or oily (which I've h other take aways) and the pineapple tasted fresh no canned.

Good food but the driver sadly rang the bell causing chaos with my 2 year old who had just got to sleep. Please ask drivers to read the instructions left by customers. i.e dont ring the doorbell.

Chicken was slimey didn’t have any texture sweeet and sour sauce tasted like soap and tasted funny, chow mein was amazing tho and so was chicken fried rice

Please read on as i believe genuine feedback is vital..... 2nd delivery was spot on, tasty food and great customer service. 1st order was shocking!!...used them for 30 years and never had this. Worst I've had and I've asked them to collect it so they can see for themselves.....undercooked, hard rice. Asked them to redeliver a new dinner so fingers crossed 🤞 and too far to them they were spot on 👍

AVOID. Worst Chinese we’ve ever had. They were supposed to give us 2 free dishes and egg fried rice as the previously order the duck was disgusting it was just the fat. They promised they would refund and give another meal free and egg fried rice. Just called them to order again and they went completely back on their word. Lied to us and argued with us. We will never order from here again. Extremely poor service and rude to their customers.

Arrived 30 mins early but disappointing. Rubbery duck for pancakes, very bland and tasteless 'spicy' szechuan tofu, garlic rice had no garlic apart from smell, doughy and mushy banana fritters. Small portions too. First and last time of trying this place.

We did wonder if the chef had changed as had a couple of average takeaways but tonight we were proven wrong. Beautiful spicy sweet and barbecue ribs, more than we could eat. King prawn satay, more than enough prawns and cashew nuts as an extra as requested. Ho Gai Po chicken dish with Singapore chow mein all excellent. Would recommend this takeaway. For £50 collection, the portion sizes were dreadful. As well as that, curry was bland and watery, the salt and pepper chicken was dry and tasteless, and everything was just a bit ‘UGH’….recommend? No…I do not

Absolutely awful. Delivery took nearly 2 hours, they got the order wrong and food was revolting. Vinegary sauce, stringy chicken.

I was really hoping for better. The predicted delivery time was not accurate, it was more than 30 mins more than initial prediction. The food was average, at best, and they missed one of our dishes from the delivery, when we called they said they'd bring the missing dish, it arrived 45 minutes later, with nothing more than a 'sorry' as compensation for their mistake. Sorry, we won't be using them again.

Food is great and for us the location is spot on. It would have got 5* but after giving them an hours notice for pick up and having to wait 10 mins after that time was slightly disappointing. Saying all that, I won’t use anywhere else

Perfect Chinese meal, perfectly served. Have lived just round the corner for 15 years before visiting for the first time. Won't be waiting another 15 years before my next visit!

Disappointed. Had king prawn fried rice had to dig deep for prawns which were Luke warm all rice and very few prawns. Rest of meal ok. Spent £16 of which previously got free prawn crackers but charged. Used to use place a few times but on recent experience not likely to. Shame as was always good before and I am not normally one to complain.

The food was not good chicken and mushroom curry frozen bits of chicken from Icelands cubes not fresh at all Never again curry sauce like water first time never again enjoy 🤮

Service was fast but Cantonese style sweet and sour was lacking in sauce, onions in sauce were raw - could do with improving.

Great place to come eat delicious Chinese food, does get busy on Fridays and Saturdays so wait can be a little longer however weekdays are really quick!

Walked in on a Saturday night and after a couple of quick questions I was able to order Mushroom Chow Mein (with vermicelli instead of the egg noodle), Chips and Curry sauce. After a 30 minute wait all was good and tasty, I would definitely come again

Not had a disappointing meal yet

There is a lot about this takaway, but the best thing of all has to be the chips. I have always loved the chips from here even though they are not an authentic chinese food..... but who's counting.

We rarely order takeaways but having been really busy( and well into our 70’s) we tried this place out. Very pleased with quality, quantity, price and delivery. Will certainly use again.

We like the food here, it’s not Michelin Star but it’s good. Our favourites are the Sweet Sticky Beef, Singapore Noodles and Prawn Toast.

Best tasting Chinese food in a long time, good value, accept cards, even delivery service, delighted. King prawn sweet and sour, chicken curry, egg fried rice, lovely.

Meals always good. Prices not bad at all. Can be a bit slow at peak times but other than that waiting time is reasonable. Well worth the wait.

4/5 great food but sometimes you have to wait even when you've phoned it in, and people who ordered at the counter get served before you.

Lovely food, excellent service been using them for take away back in the late 80s. Now do home delivery , which is very handy , but like most delivery takes approx an hour so order early. Lovely food great service, 1 of the best !

Terrible service it took an hour and 40 minutes to be delivered when I phoned and asked where it was the lady on the phone hung up on me also when the food arrived it was cold. Will not be ordering from here AGAIN!

Best Chinese in Rugby by a mile.

Been using this take away for over 25 years. Always fresh and piping hot. Great service. They now deliver but like waiting for mine in the pub next door.

Pancake rolls hideous, burnt and saturated in grease, grease all over my kitchen side. The grease even leaked all in my car. Chips raw and soggy. Lemon chicken hideous and soggy, curry tasted powdery hardly any beef. Would never go back there again. Took all food back for a refund. Lady was cheesed off and rude when returning to collect money.

As usual the food was lovely, can't fault it but I waited nearly an hour for my food, what annoyed me was 4 people came in and ordered after me and got there's first. The young lady was rushed off her feet so I don't blame her but in future I think I'll stick to home delivery

I can't get enough, best Chinese curry Iv ever had , and the pancake rolls have to be tried to be believed, awesome, the young lady who takes the orders is always smiling and pleasant, , I'd give it six stars if I could, they also now deliver and do take card payments at the door, where else does that? Give it a try you will not be disappointed

Estoy tan increíblemente delicado cuando se trata de comida china, pero no podía elegir cualquier lugar mejor que Ocean City. Estoy un poco incómodo en el hecho de que prefiero todo preparado como solía ser en el menú y el personal están siempre más que dispuestos a cocinar de esta manera para mí. Un negocio familiar y encantador. Gran relación calidad-precio y rápido! 10 minutos después de ordenar nuestra última noche llevar nuestra comida estaba listo y delicioso como siempre. Ganas de recalentar las sobras!

No delivery, but good food and reasonably priced

Always great food never a fault. Staff are pleasant and premises are clean. A credit to Chinese restaurants as this place is faultless.

In the context of convenience for locals, service, and the price point, you get exactly what you would expect and them some. Large tasty port portions etc. Not exactly gourmet, but hearty honest grub.

Our local Chinese and, in our opinion, the best in the area. Freshly cooked to perfection and very reasonable prices. Very large menu of available items to make up your meal. We have never been disappointed.

We used to use this chinese a couple of years ago, and it's always been excellent.So last night we decided to go a run into Rugby (about 8 miles from where we live)And have to say well worth the trip the food was top notch, we had chicken chow mein,And the curry dishes were absolutely lovely, curry sauce splendid and loads of mushrooms onions and peas in the curry.Give the free prawn crackers with any meal give the Ocean a try you will not be disappointed.

This used to be my local for a chinese before I moved. Really lovely woman owner taking orders and dealing with customers. Very nice food always hot and delish. Highly recommend a visit.

This is our regular take away. Has always been good and consistent. Always piping hot. Wish we could eat one of everything.....the pancake rolls, the big ones, are a favourite of mine. Take away only.Staff are always really friendly. nPrices are goodWith regard to a previous review. they have never taken card payments. They did however stop taking cheques when the cheque guarentee cards became defunct. There is however a cash machine at the local Sainsburys and several cash machines within a mile........not really a problem.

We had used this take-away very regularly and always had a very good meal. Indeed amongst the best. BUT a year ago they stopped taking card payments - cash only - and consequently we have never been back. What a shame and possibly due to the greed (tax avoidance) of the owners?

Regular haunt...fast friendly good and consistent, spicy fried beef and schezuan chicken is a winner
