Excellent atmosphere, was very busy. The live music was excellent. Only faults was they ran out of beers on tap and the woman's toilet is 2 floors up. So walking up through the pitch black empty 2nd floor is a bit intimidating.

If you are out on lark lane, this is the best place for a drink in my opinion. They don't serve food anymore but great for a pint. If you can get a table your life, indeed your night will be sorted.

Came here a few years ago and had some delicious spicy duck enchiladas, something I'd not experienced before, the strong firm meat lending tself to the slow cooking and rich cheesy sauce over soft floury tortillas and hot red chili. Alas, the kitchen is now closed for some time pending refurbishment! Woe. Great place for a chilled few though, quite busy friday saturday nights, good vibes and a good deal of tequilas to choose. Nice peaceful smoking/drinking/chatting area out back.

This place has been opened for at least a decade. It is right in the corner of Lark Lane and just before Sefton Park. It is a great meet-up place. It even has a little patio for all of us who like a bit of sunshine. The place is cosy and yet it offers food in more than one floor. I am a fan of their comfy sofas for a bevy; and love their tacos. Not too Mexican spicy ... but so comfortable and lovely I hate to leave each time.

After quite a long day re exploring the delightful waterfront and dock area of Liverpool we decided a romantic meander down Lark Lane remembering the days of our youth would be a fitting end to the day. Looking for a place to sit , chill and have something to eat proved a daunting task when faced with so many choices... BUT we chanced upon Cantina. We wondered into the rather dark restaurant, were met by a very helpful young lady and were escorted to a table upstairs which was also "in the dark!" As we sat down, a candle was lit, menus were supplied along with a torch. The "lights" had gone "bang" and were not working and could not be sorted until after the weekend. Wot fun, lovely darkened atmosphere, a torch and sublime food. We sooo enjoyed our fun evening and really reilished the tapas. We would go again every weekend if it were not for that horror we call the M6!

Que Pasa feels like Lark Lane of old, chilled and a cool vibe with rustic wooden tables and exposed brick. The man who served us and who has served me each time I've visited is really lovely, very friendly and personable. He definitely adds to the atmosphere. We sat by the open fire catching up over fruit teas and pints of bitter. We didn't eat, although I've eaten veggie breakfast here a few times on previous visits which has always been good. Only negative is women's toilets are up what feels like 17 flights of stairs (but they're clean when you get there).

Every December we always go to Lark Lane for xmas drinks with the boys. We start at the park end and work down towards Aigburth. This year we had a change. We felt so comfortable at Que Pasa Cantina sat by the fire that we decided we would stay and enjoy our xmas beverages here, before moving onto our restaurant booking further down Lark Lane. The beer selection was fine and they even sell Leffee by the half pint on draught. Pints are forbidden to be sold due to the premises policy but all other beer is not an issue. The place is rustic and well worn and it was a pain having to keep asking the bar staff to keep the fire stoked but as mentioned it had a relaxed feeling for a Saturday afternoon.Good or bad we never once seen anyone eating food for the four hours we were there, but food menus were clearly available but I can't comment on the food.Nice atmosphere and the clientele on the day were mature and good spirited.Would I go back with the boys. That would have to be a yes.P.S. Didn't appear to be orientated for disabled people. Toilets were upstairs.

We have been here several times recently, most notably on the missus' birthday, and have been meaning to write a review for a while. We like coming here for a special Friday or Saturday night meal due to the subdued lighting and a personal feel yet it still has lots of atmosphere as it is obviously a popular place. We recommend the quesadillas and burritos - extremely good also the red wine is exceptional value for money. Service is great and everyone is friendly. The venue is also a good place to come for a drink.Try to dine upstairs, given the option, as it is much cosier.

Just popped into Que Pasa for the first time in a while and it's difficult to think why we haven't been there again sooner. The place has a great atmosphere in the bar area downstairs where we sat on this visit, which kind if fits for a casual meal. However in the past we have also sat upstairs which feels a little more formal and better for an evening dinner. The nachos to share for starter were evenly layered and generously topped. The chicken and beef burritos were so tasty and a good size, leaving no room at all for dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful making us feel comfortable and very welcome.Thank You

Haven't visited here in about 5 years so was looking forward to see if it was as good as I remember, sadly it isn't.On the plus side the staff are friendly and attentive, and the beer and wine excellent. The nacho starter was mainly refried beans very little guacamole or actual nachos and was described as big enough for 2 which they weren't. Ordered the fried halloumi special to go with them which unfortunately was not that special. For mains we had chicken fajitas which were tasty enough but looked like they'd been heated up in the microwave along with the tortillas. My husbands burrito was again nothing to write home about and to top it off I ordered sticky toffee pudding which tasted of nothing else but melted butter. Needless to say we won't be visiting for food again, a drink downstairs in the bar maybe.

Arrived around 9pm on a Wednesday evening. Taco bowl to share was definitely not fresh out of the oven and tasted like it had been cooked in the morning and sat around all day.I ordered chicken burritos as a main, which came covered in sauce, if I wanted that I would of ordered enchiladas. The "burritos" I had were large enough to feed a family, but that's no use if they aren't seasoned and are bulked out with green peppers, and I hate green peppers. Side order of wedges were definitely not home made, and were very average.my girlfriend had red snapper and it was edible, but no real thought gone into the dish or garnish.on a plus note there is a nice wine list and very reasonably priced, staff are very friendly and polite. But next time il just have the wine.

But Friday night there were a group of scally 'regulars' in there - drunk beyond belief, being aggressive and looking for a fight with other customers. All at 8pm. The bar staff continued to serve them, before I walked out after my friend and I were verbally attacked, I reminded them it was a criminal offence to keep serving people in that state. Bar man shrugged shoulders and said 'oh well, they are always causing trouble so I MIGHT bar them'. Never going in there again, head to Keiths for more friendly places!

After a little visit to Lark Lane, I decided to finally pop in to Que Pasa Cantina as it looked like a nice place to go (beer garden in the sun is a good selling point). To start off, the staff were lovely and very casual, which for me is kinda what I was after. Place looked a little run down but it added to the charm. I was with a few friends and we order some drinks and food at the bar. First off, the food we ordered was ace and looked the part (the enchiladas we the business), the staff were nice (A young tall lad served me) and over all, it seemed great.But...After ordering a Finlandia vodka w/ ice (not a beer drinker myself) something tasted off. Now I'm no expert of vodkas but I know the difference between a good quality and poor quality vodka. I enquired to the staff if this is Actually Finlandia, and after a little hesitation I was told "no, it isn't". I found out its some cheap brand called Vladivar.Just a heads up, Finlandia is Finnish; barley made vodka priced about £15.00 from the shops.Vladivar vodka is UK made, charcoal filtered vodka of the same quality as Smirnoff red. It's like asking for a pint of say, Peroni, and receiving a pint of Fosters instead.Oh, and it's illegal (The law of passing off prevents one person from misrepresenting his or her goods or services as being the goods and services of the claimant). What made it worse is when we finished our meal, I asked to speak to the manager, a 'lady' called Jools. It was some time before she built up the nerve to come over to our table and within seconds we were met with hostility and anger at this idea that she was selling cheap vodka in an expensive vodka bottle (strangely, never actually denying it out right). After about 5 mins of her talking AT me, rather than give actual customer service and listening, I cut the conversation short (I don't like being barked at after I've eaten), paid our bill and off we went.Nice place, lovely bar staff, good food...But gee, management need to sort, not only their legal issues out, but themselves too.

We visited this restaurant on Bank Holiday Monday. Outside it clearly stated on a large banner about an offer that they had Monday - Thursday 5pm -8pm. We saw this offer at 4pm and decided to wait until 5pm to take advantage of it. To be fair, this was the only reason we picked this place out of everywhere on Lark Lane. Also the menu had Seafood on which sounded lovely.Well, once we sit down and get a menu we are told the the seafood is no longer on the menu. This is fair enough, there were other things that did catch my eye. When we were asked if we would like drinks I said can we have the bottle of wine that is on offer with our meal. The waiter then says he will have to check if this offer is on as it a bank holiday. He returned to say no. I went outside to check the sign. I then spoke to the manager and said that the sign outside clearly states that this offer is on Monday to Thursday and it does not say anywhere about it not being available on a bank holiday. This woman was rude and not happy that I questioned this or that I told her it was out of order that she is using this sign to trick customers into the place. She said they put it there out of habit and refused to back down that she was in the wrong and she also left the sign outside to fool more people into believing the too good to be true offer.I am a very generous person, I am not tight with my money, however I do not like false advertisement and being conned into eating somewhere. If I was the manager I would have apologised and still offered the bottle of wine and then removed or edited the sign to avoid further confusion. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?I reluctantly agreed to stay for my husband (who like myself does not like fuss) and when our meal was served it was very disappointing. It was dry and bland, but to be honest even if it was the best meal in the world, I would never return here and certainly would not reccommed this place to anybody. There are many more friendlier places nearby with much nicer food at more reasonable prices so please do yourself a favour and walk on by!

Que Pasa is probably one of the best places to eat on Lark Lane. We especially love the Sunday roast. Used to have breakfasts there as a student which were good. There's not many places on Lark Lane that we regularly go to eat, I find that some of the places are overpriced and hit or miss. We just went to eat down the road and were really disappointed with it, a shame really, because when you go out to eat, you expect a pleasant dining experience, with good atmosphere and good food. We booked a table for 6pm, so we could go into Sefton Park after eating and watch the Firework display at 7:30. We waited ages for a taxi and were going to be really late, so I phoned and asked if we could change it to 8-8:15 and come after the display. The staff were brilliant about this and sorted out a later table for us with no fuss. The downstairs bar was absolutely RAMMED when we arrived and we were taken upstairs, which has a really nice atmosphere. The men in our party were delighted to find there was Black Sheep real ale on hand pumps, so that was them sorted. My friend and I shared a bottle of excellent Argentinian Malbec, reasonably priced at about £15. The starters were huge! Two of us had Nachos, one with chili beef and one Quorn. The other two had quesadilla with chicken and a chicken wings and wedges. Main courses were chili beef burritos, chili beef fajitas, Quorn burrito and a steak. The steak eater said it was perfect (and also huge) I was so full after my nachos, I couldn't face even starting my burrito, so asked if I could have a doggy bag. The waiter fixed that up in a jiffy and I enjoyed it for lunch the next day.All the food was first class, beautifully cooked and large portions. The staff were really great, friendly and helpful. Our bill for a bottle of wine, four pints, four starters and four mains plus extra portions of guacamole was a very reasonable £92.I can't wait to go again and can highly recommend Que Pasa for a really great dining experience.

The manageress came over to check we were happy with our table and asked us if we would like a quieter table upstairs in the restaurant. We ordered a nacho starter that described that it came with sour cream. My wife doesn't like sour cream and so we requested that this was left off. The starter, without sour cream, was great. Our main courses arrived and we were disappointed that my wifes came with sour cream... it wasn't detailed on the menu and the waitress/manager who had taken our starter order did not point this out when she took our order. The food was returned to the kitchen and returned some time later. My wife attempted to move her plate which was so hot it blistered her fingers. Our complaint at the time was not treated as seriously as it should have been. We have enjoyed this restaurant on a number of occasions but this episode and a general downturn in customer service is spoiling a fantastic place.

Booked and paid a deposit of almost £200. Turned up to find the doors locked and no explanation why or contact before hand. Sent an email and was told they couldn’t contact me as they didn’t have a contact number. Received a call today from them, not sure how they’ve magically summoned my number now but not surprised they can’t stay in business when they can’t even tell the truth. They’re still taking reservations online too. Shocking

Great venue, lots of bars inside so easy to get a drink, good amount of space for dancing/bopping around to the music that was being played.
