Have been to this cafe a few times before for breakfast with usually favourable results. So ,thought we would give it a try for Sunday lunch. Sadly we won’t be returning anytime soon. Although you do get a very generous amount of food, it was very disappointing - the veg was massively overcooked and wilted and the meat was very dry ( pork and chicken, 3rd choice was unavailable), couldn’t cut the Yorkshire pudding ,it was so hard. Also all of it could have been hotter. Staff were always pleasant and attentive. Quaysides previous 5* reputation will soon begin to slide unless things improve.

A visit to one of favourite cafes in Nottingham. We had to have a couple of their breakfasts. One small £7.70 One Large £9.20 They were served very promptly, and everything was absolutely delicious and filling as usual. It's a lovely venue and dog friendly.

Really loved the atmosphere of the place but I found my burger to be a bit dull although dunking the chips in the sauce that came with it was a taste sensation. My daughter found her pizza base a bit hard but the wife enjoyed her shakshuka. We also found the coffee a bit bland but we will try the place again as it is a cool place.

Ordered for home delivery and it was the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. The food quality is great and I loved the Cumberland ring sausage. Definitely worth a trip there next time,

A great find in an unusual location. Great food and coffee for a group of us cycling. They even unlocked a gate so we had secure bike parking. Would definitely recommend.

My brother asked me to leave review, he wanted to the cafe after reading reviews and he was very disappointed. The sausages was hard and very greasy not fresh. The bacon was hard seems like it had been cooked the day before. Full of grease. He’s not happy and came out feeling sick. He came in on 18th july and will not return.

Wonderful cafe - found by word of mouth after a walk around Colwick park. What’s really great about the place is the price, quality of food and the fact that it’s dog friendly. Just what we needed.

There’s a lot to like about this cafe but unfortunately we won’t be returning as there were far too many dogs in there to eat comfortably. I tried to avoid looking at the dog across from our table which happened to have a nasty skin complaint - not what I wanted to be seeing especially whilst eating! Some owners were constantly patting their dogs and this created hair and again is not conducive to be experiencing whilst eating. The staff were very friendly and were asking people not to let their dogs sit on the seats but some had them on their laps so they were very near the table. The food was fine but cappuccino was only available as a large, which was quite expensive at £3.30 and was actually a medium or standard in most cafes. The breakfast was average, but because we were not enjoying our visit we didn’t really savour it.

It's the 3rd time we've visited the Quayside Cafe and to be honest it just goes from strength to strength. The food is well served and always very tasty. The staff are very friendly and my wife and myself always enjoy our visit there. Well done 👍

We had a gang of runners visiting the nearby parkrun and booked here for breakfast. The original number was 15 but grew to 22 on the day but brilliant email communication with the cafe made the arrangements easy. Turned up to a very busy cafe . Great decoration and vibe . Ordered at the counter and the expected wait for freshly cooked food was worth it it. Fantastic breakfasts and compliments from everyone on the food served . All staff helpful and hardworking . Even the toilets are worth a visit for their uniqueness……. Great cafe , great food with awesome staff. Well done

I've been wanting to try here for a while as I'd heard good reports about it. I had a little difficult finding it as its in an industrial unit, but it was well worth it. The decor is wonderful, the staff are friendly and there's a great selection to choose from to eat.

First time visit to the Quayside Cafe. First impressions very impressed with the lovely light surroundings. Nice comfy chairs to sit on. Great menu although a tad pricey IMO. But at the end of the day you get what you pay for. We had 2 x cappuccino and 2 x toasted tea cakes £10. Coffee and tea cakes were yummy individual butter and jam nice touch. Would I go again yes definitely. Place is absolutely spotless. Pet friendly too

We’ve been to the quayside cafe a few times before and the impression was, lovely interior/environment, mediocre food, and mixed service. They put up a “kids eat free” sign at the door since the start of the summer holiday, saying “One free kids’ meal with any purchase of an adult breakfast, lunch or main meal” between 25th July and 31st August. We were quite surprised by the offer, as they are an independent business and it seemed overly generous. In hind sight, it was merely a strategy to attract families over during the holiday period. On the first occasion, we went on a Friday and ordered two adults breakfasts and two kids breakfasts but were refused kids free meals as “the offer is only on between Monday and Thursday” (which is not written on the door). We paid for our kids and didn’t question it as lots of places don’t run offers Friday to Sunday. The next time we went on a Monday and ordered two adult breakfasts and two kids breakfasts (bakers breakfast and pancakes). This time it was very clear that they hated the idea of “kids eat free” they’ve advertised. We were asked to choose from the kids lunch menu for breakfast (chicken nuggets type of food with a drink), and they couldn’t give us the drink as it wasn’t food. It was outright ridiculous and they eventually agreed to do free kids breakfast. We got the adult meals and a shrunk “bakers breakfast” - which was one slice of toast with one croissant, half the size of an ordinary one we used to order - fair enough, we take it that it was kids size… our second order of kids breakfast (pancake) never arrived, so we went to ask how long to wait for as we’d nearly finished ours and our daughter was still waiting. “None ordered” was the answer and when asked why, They said that we’d got to order a full English breakfast over £7 to qualify any free offer… what a load of rubbish they were making along the way! They’d not changed the kids eat free sign on the door (photo attached) and were just making up excuses to stop you using the offer! Really disappointed with this place. They don’t have to give kids eat free offers like the big chains. They are using the supposedly good gesture to get customers. Utterly petty. You’ve lost our trust and we will not go again.

We visited not long after this place 1st opened and we were disappointed with the service and availability of food (selection of fruit was just grapes and selection of pastries just croissants but this wasn’t advised when ordering only when served at our table) so we tried again after a couple of months, got both our eggs and Bread requests wrong! However we thought we’d give it one last try as it’s close by. Really wish we hadn’t bothered and won’t be giving it any more chances, they have added more tables making it cramped and despite a large number of staff still don’t seem to be able to cope with the customers (only 6-7 tables full) all the eggs were fried (not what we requested) the sausage was very greasy, forgot the pot of tea and it only arrived half way through our breakfast, no apologies, very poor customer service! Certainly won’t bother again

Colwick Industrial estate isn't a destination that normally springs to mind for great dining experience. Even then it's not the easiest place to find, but do persevere, as it's a real find, and way better than any greasy spoon which may spring to mind. We tried the breakfast which serves three size options for a full English, but there are plenty more choices for the more health conscious. Friendly staff, great ambience and well priced.

Visited here twice now and we found the food disappointing both times. The food doesn’t seem to be cooked fresh especially the sausages, they are hard as if they’ve been sat there a while. But the cafe itself is lovely.

Fantastic little pub with a good selection of drinks. Frequent rotation of craft beer, generally local breweries as well as the usual Beavertown etc. good choice of spirits also. Be sure to sign up to the Rewards Scheme too. Small selection of food available for very good prices. The nachos is a favourite and frequent selection for me. Pub is dog friendly, so often a couple in there but all well behaved. There is a small outdoor area available also.
