Quay Fish & Chips in Flintshire

These guys have made the best chicken tikka kebabs for many years and still do.. So so tasty, never had a kebab like it!

This used to be lovely….. it’s not now. I can’t not believe how disgusting out door was. The chips we like old sponge and were clearly reheated and reheated. I ordered fish, this was cooked whilst waiting. This looked toxic it was bright yellow and did not have any flavour. All of it from a family of five went in the bin, what an absolute waste of money, avoid !!!!!!!

Oh my, where do I start! Firstly the two staff members where on earth did you find these two? They're clearly new to this planet as one of them asked me to repeat my order three times, chicken and chips twice. They seemed to be focused on the men in the kitchen, then the phone rang, and it took both of them to answer it. They seemed to then talk about the order like it was a new concept. After 35 mins I finally got my order! They weren't busy I was the only customer in there. Got home and my husband and I finally sat down to eat and wow I've never tasted any like it, the chicken was like eating a Spondex Sponge while eating packing peanuts. Never going back there.

This chippy used to be really good. Not now. Refried soggy chips, tasteless fish s and small enough portions that Oliver would definitely be asking for more. We've both left most of it, it was that bad. AVOID

We popped in here for a chippy tea, £37.50 for five fish and chip suppers, we waited well over 20 minutes while the two girls gossiped about Love Island, I asked when would it be ready and one girl just looked at me like I had two heads, while the other one just sauntered over to the fryer shook the basket and wandered into to back part. The food: when we finally got our order we got home, and oh my goodness the taste was disgusting, the chips were hard and somehow soggy at the same time, my wife's chips were obviously reheats and my children's ate a few and asked if they could please give them to the dogs! The dogs even refused to eat them. The fish was absolutely vile, even though they took 20 minutes to cook the batter and fish were still raw. Please avoid here at all costs.

Came here so I didn't have to cook! Wish I had. Asked for fish and chips, twice, took 20 minutes to finally get my order. Batter was greasy, chips were obviously reheats from lunchtime and they've get a nerve to increase the prices. The two girls are completely inept one just stares at you like rabbit in head lights and the other one is just on auto pilot.

Bloody awful. Chips were like gravel chippings, the cheese n onion pie obviously used as a pukk in last night's dragon's ice hockey game the watery curry resembled the side effects to my excessive use of antibiotics recently when mixed with alcohol and a kebab. No wonder chippy doesn't have tables outside for you to attempt a moment to consume your products cos they'd need more than a plastic shield to hold back the bag of dried cement thrown back

This used to be a wonderfull chip shop and whilst in the area we decided to get a meal from there. The chips were solid all through and inedable and the fish very undercooked with much of the batter raw. Both the fish and the chips appear to have been cooked in old oil and the whole meal was greasyy and disghusting. a bitter dissapointment of a meal which was binned after taisting.

Poor portion sizes, tray of chips should be just that, a tray full!! Not even half full, lukewarm and tasteless… like there is no salt or vinegar on them. Cheese and pinion fryit has been reheated multiple times, it’s so dry, just awful. The trays were out in the bag sideways so the sauce/ gravy was all over the place, a complete mess.

Ordered from here ,despite bad reviews as we have eaten next door in the restaurant,. Ordered through ubereats and was looking forward to the food. When it was a no show at 615 (order was between 5 and 6) I checked Uber only to find quay chip shop had cancelled my order at 5pm with no explanation. They made no effort to contact me at all so left very hungry and extremely angry. Never again

My partner picked up a meal for us both tonight and it was so bad I felt compelled to say something.. in fairness the chips, mushy peas and gravy were acceptable but the fish!! I can honestly say it was the worst fish I've ever had from a chippy, it tasted "old" and the batter was a shambles, and resembled orange cardboard, it was so bad after two mouthfuls it was given to my dogs. Shocking and Needless to say, its our first and LAST visit!

Called into the chippy at 15:30 today, no queue and the only other person in the shop was the staff member I could see chatting away to her colleague as she put lids on pre prepared tinned take away meals. I waited a couple of minutes before she eventually gazed the gaze of sweet indifference in my direction. She offered me no acknowledgement and continued the scintillating conversation with her workmate. I eventually left without ever being served, spoken to, acknowledged. I have never been subject to such poor ill manners and believe me I have offered patronage to some pi55 p00r premises in the past. So to surmise: No customer service skills, food of an unknown quality, oil smelled a bit suss, no customer queue, no wonder it was empty

I went there at 8.15pm. The chips were reheats but hard and brown like from the day before. The scallops tasted disgusting and hard whatever was inside them . (not uncooked but hard) and greasy. The freshly cooked fish, came straight out the fryer onto the chip paper, was so greasy and the smell off it when i got into the car was like is pulled up at a fish mongers. Needless to say it all went in the bin, if i wasn't so tired i would of took it back (what a waste of money) . The one thing that i got that was nice was the bottle of vimpto. The staff were friendly just the food wasn't fit for the dog, not the first time but certainly the last for me!

Every-time i went here, The chips were cold and solid, almost like you were eating a rock . The sausage was that uncooked it was basically still a pig. Very very very poor.

Friday night chips, sausage and curry sauce. Chips were fresh and tasted amazing. Very good local chippy with friendly staff.
