Al quedarnos en The Sanderson por una noche, nos metimos en The Purple Bar. Qué bar más oscuro pero decadente y elaborado es este. Tiene que ser visto. Perfecto para bebidas íntimas nocturnas.

Fui a tomar algo antes de salir por la noche y quedé contento con la calidad de los cócteles y el servicio. Sergiu fue muy atento e hizo algunas bebidas increíbles. Definitivamente volveremos.

Acabo de aparecer en este hotel y descubrí el Purple Bar. Un lugar oscuro donde tomar cócteles y una velada privada. Muchas gracias a Sergiu que nos ayudó durante la noche con sus deliciosas bebidas. ¡Un lugar para estar!

Muy agradable y acogedor Cocktailbar en el Hotel Sanderson Hermoso diseño, todo es morado por supuesto. Acogedor y perfecto para una cita romántica. Excelente menú de cócteles y lista de licores. Puedes elegir 25 tipos de ron / whisky etc. Debe visitar este lugar para tomar una copa. Personal muy amable y bien entrenado.

I visited last night with my partner to celebrate her birthday. I've been many times before, mainly when I've stayed at the hotel, but last night we stayed somewhere else, so I called and booked a table, as you cannot just walk into this bar without a reservation. We had a few cocktails before heading off to Hakkasan. The decor is amazing and the cocktails are what you would expect from a top London bar. Prices aren't cheap, but for a special occasion, they aren't that bad. Still cheap than Ibiza..!! I'd highly recommend for a couples night out. I find it hard to fault Purple Bar:)

Perfect intimate setting, for that special moments with a loved one. We booked in advance to on in a Saturday evening and we weren’t disappointed. Note it’s a bit pricy... £97 + service charge for a bottle of rose champagne but worth it! Highly recommend!!

This bar is for hotel guests only however the barman allowed us to have a drink here as The Long Bar was very busy. It’s very cosy and intimate, a great place for date night drinks. The cocktails were amazing and they even made my boyfriend one that wasn’t on the menu. The staff were great and if we’re allowed to return without being hotel guests again we definitely will.

This bar is for residents of the hotel only after 11 p.m. and is great if you want to have a bit of quiet and relax. We went in here on our return from the theatre, and the lovely young girl behind the bar remembered us from a visit a year ago, and even remembered what we drank! How is that for service? We had some supper and a few drinks and chatted with the young lady, who was very helpful and knew a lot about the hotel and it's surrounding facilities.

It seems as if I spend my life trying to find good base in London where I can sit on a bar stool, chat to others at the bar and the bar staff and drink a decent gin martini in a good location and a pleasant environment. The purple bar at the Sanderson fulfils all this. The mixologists know what they are doing. They are prompt and pleasant in their service. There is a great selection of wine as well as spirits and cocktails and for what it is, the prices are reasonable I will certainly be back soon

A wonderfully dark, sumptuous small bar. Marta is utterly charming and makes the most amazing cocktails. Highly recommended.

On my first visit to the purple bar, Marta made my visit amazing, being so personal and very attentive! I can recommend it to everyone who is looking for a different amazing experience with top class service.

This is a private bar for hotel guests and I absolutely loved it. The decor is fabulous as well as the cocktails. Some seemed a bit pricey but I was on vacation and loved what I was drinking. We visited the bar several nights after coming back to the hotel from being out.

We were staying at the Sanderson and after the theatre popped in for a drink as the main abr was super busy. It was very stylish., like a boudoir in a nice way, the sofas/booths were great but the chairs beside theme were very very small, they looked ridiculous and were not at all comfy. The drinks however were very well mixed and the service was good. Very stylish atmospheric room with great music, drinks and service.

We had the perfect evening here with wonderful cocktails and food to share. The staff were simply splendid, really passionate about the service and ensuring we had the best time possible. We will definitely book again.

We were staying at the Sanderson that evening (6th August 2016), and reserved a table at the Purple Bar, This was a much better option than The Long Bar, which was loud and boisterous. The Purple Bar is a chic and intimate bar, and perfect for a cosy evening with a companion. Marter (I think that's her name), was simply outstanding that evening, with service which was simply superb. She was attentive and informative when it came to deciding which cocktails to try, of which there are plenty to choose from. The bar itself is little dark, but reflects the name with a wonderful decor of purple and violets which compliments the superb ambience.

Really enjoyed my time at this bar. The only let down was they were short staffed and the girl wasn't the most accommodating. The bar itself is gorgeous with a good selection of alcohol.

Near Oxford Circus, the place is chic with very tasty cocktails and beautiful people. A bit dark but is doesn't really matter.

I went to the Purple Bar at the Sanderson Hotel for a birthday drink with a friend two years ago, and I must say it was a disappointment. We arrived quite early in the evening to find the room completely empty and dark, with a few members of staff present. We couldn't really see the menu, so we asked the barman to make a small cocktail each for us, which he did. We didn't spend too long at the bar, as we had somewhere else to go but when the bill arrived, I was astounded to find he was charging us £20 for a small cocktail - each -. It wasn't even the size of a glass of water at a restaurant. Sadly, after that experience, I've never returned, and haven't recommended this place to anyone else since.

Yes it's purple and dark Good venue to continue your night as it closes at three am. Good service great dark atmosphere and enjoyable thanks guys

We decided to go for some pre-drinks to the Purple bar yesterday 14/11. The door men at Sanderson Hotel were really nice and welcoming, they pointed us to the Purple bar. When we entered the bar we were asked if we were staying guests. We said no.........at which point the bar man became quite patronising and said we could not sit down.

Loved this bar, we where staying at the hotel, which is amazing! Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in London. The bar has every cocktail you can think of and the staff are very attentive. Highly recommend!!

The atmosphere is relaxing, cool yet vibrant. The staff really know their stuff and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. The cocktails are explained fully and the staff are comfortable in suggesting alternatives.

Beautiful fun people, locals and tourists mingle in this hip bar. Great drinks and friendly bar tenders make this a fantastic place.

Perfect setting inside the hotel to sit and relax and try out some cocktails, which are expertly mixed by the bar staff. The waitress we had didn't just recommend cocktails but asked what our favourite spirits and flavours were and gave us selections from the menu. A nice touch is the little desk lights which let you see the menus but don't take anything away from the ambience of the bar.

Cosy and cool, but make sure you are a guest at the hotel if you want to get in here. More a place to grab a drink before going out, rather than spending the whole evening here - the other hotel bar is better for that

A sexy intimate bar which is great for a quick drink before dinner or a long night in over a few bottles. A little more intimate and quiet than the Long Bar. A great place for a date, or to meet other hotel guests.

I came here last week with my girlfirends. The bar is absolutely tiny, which means it feels very cosy, and the decor is plush and luxurious with dark mood lighting.

I wish I knew his name....not an english accent, but man he was super attentive to us and made the best drinks ever!! The room itself is very intimate. I think it requires reservations.

they have the best specialty cocktails and the Chicken Satay skewers are to die for.. Not to mention the decor is pricelss

If they have the ingredients you can get any cocktail you want, they are experienced in any cocktail you want, bar staff are friendly and helpful and as the guest only bar there tends not to be quite as long a ques to get served though from previous experience if you are are attractive you jump to the front of the que :-), luckily I still fit that section.

My husband and I had a great time at the Purple Bar while in London. We really enjoyed the purple light and the intimate atmosphere of the place, plus the friendly and expert staff. The cocktail list was impressive and our cocktail girl Julia was a true specialist in the field! excellent experience, highly recommended!

Went several times, cocktails are good but pricey; attendance is 30+, there is this long bar (nice feature indeed) where you can sit at and look around, as there's a lot of light. Dress code not too casual, be careful.

Beautifully decorated small and cosy bar inside the hotel. The drinks were well presented and were crafted creatively. The lighting was slightly dim but perfect for a romantic evening. Great for an evening with your loved one or to have a first date to impress.

We went here for a nice evening out in the middle of February while it was cold and wet outside. We had made a reservation so when we arrived and were stopped by to large guys outside the bar we were told that we were expected and walked to our table and generally got a very warm welcome. Inside the purple, the dimmed light and furniture gives the room a warm, cozy and intimate feel. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The food/snacks menu is limited but what we tried was excellent, a fun details was that they actually had to pull over an extra table for us, in order to have room for the two plates of food we ordered.

Came and had cocktails on my birthday with OH. The bar staff know what they are doing and they provide a party in a glass!! Drinks are strong and inventive, cocktail suggestions from Amanda were spot on. Deffo try the brazilian breakfast which is my new fav drink. Special mention to beautiful karen the hostess, she made us feel so valued and welcome. Shes an asset truly to the Sanderson. We look forward to seeing her again on our next vist!! Loved it in here the service and cocktails are worth the prices. The atmosphere is great without being stuffy and really chilled all drinks are freshly made the way you expect cocktails to be and liked it that they gave you water and ice as soon as you were seated nice touch.

Seductive, low lit, purple coloured ambience, with lots of velvet and candles. Perfect for a romantic drink. Feels trendy but is also a venue you can unwind in. Great cocktail menu!

Its for guests staying at the Sanderson hotel, it has a dark and decadent feel with its all purple look and velvet material. It has a huge array of bottles at the back and they make fabulous cocktails.

We were staying here and it was the perfect spot for a nightcap, lovely staff, great cocktails and cosy atmosphere.

This has the best martini list in London - perhaps even on the planet - there are concoctions that go back two centuries and a range of gins and vodkas that is nearly as extense. Small but buzzy. Great for planning those novel and screenplays (like Bunuel ;)

I have been to the Purple Bar at the Sanderson many times. Even though they have a strict rule of "only hotel guests" we were able to get in every time we went. The staff is extremely friendly and the menu is Martini Heaven. You will find any kind of Martini. I reccomend you not to drink the chocolate martini, it sounds tasty but once you have it in front of you and are struggling to finish it you will think of me telling you not to do it. other than that everything is amazing! They also serve food and the atmosphere is great! It feels like being in a movie.

Low lighting, low chairs, low music, high standards. When the Long Bar is too... well too... everything - retreat here and relax. The drinks are just as good - just without the crowd. And the purple is very purple.

One of my favourite bars anywhere.Very atmospheric, small and intimate, and one of the best selection of vodka's and cocktails around. Great service and somewhere 'exclusive' to go away from the noise and bustle of London. Quite expensive, but a unique environment.

Amazing. You actually feel privileged to gain entry into this tiny bar, designed to look like the inside of a jewellery box. The seats are minute and the cocktails are served in bespoke glasses, like china tea cups on wine glass stems. And because only guests are allowed, there is no oneupmanship. Everyone is a VIP.
