The Chateaubriand was outstanding—cooked to perfection! The plating could be improved, but the meat simply melts in your mouth! I couldn’t finish the 450g portion, so I asked to take the rest home, not wanting such excellent (and pricey) food to go to waste. They brought me a burger box, which I really appreciated. However, they pointed out that they don’t normally offer this option but made an exception this time. I wasn’t sure if it was meant to make me feel privileged, but it left me feeling slightly uncomfortable, as if asking was somehow out of line. No restaurant should treat food waste as the default. Note: The waiter (a gentleman) was great . He was simply relaying what his colleague/manager (a lady) had instructed him to say. PS: The availability of halal meat is a significant bonus, as it's rare to find quality places that offer it.

We visited Köd as part of an afterparty from a conference. I Know Köd from Denmark, where they make delicious food. With our visit we only get to taste some snacks like sliders, prawns and fries. But they tasted great, and of really good quality. We also had a lot of great beers. The large area outside the restaurant is amazing for the party we attended.

Sunday lunch Been more than once, definitely lost its edge. Addition of chicken wings does not do it any favours, they just taste of deep fryer with a non-descript sauce. Have also removed bread from the lunch offer, which was very good. Price increased which is understandable, but for quality to take a drop with it is what makes it an average lunch, disappointing change, will not return.

Sunday lunch, unlimited for an hour and a half, steak, chips, caesar salad and wings. Steak can be medium or well done that's the only choice but medium was soft and succulent. Fries were seasoned. Salad was perfect. Wings deep fried were a little hard. Service a bit slow initially especially considering the restaurant was at half capacity, but very friendly staff. We made the rookie mistake of choosing wine without asking to see wine list first and ended up paying £95 for a reasonable pinot noir. We sat outside vintage the square which was lovely. An enjoyable experience, good food, plentiful, we will be back.

Tucked away in Devonshire square just a stones throw away from Liverpool Street station, this lovely restaurant has indoor and outdoor(covered) seating and has a nice chilled and yet smart feel, the staff are very friendly and professional and seem very knowledgeable. On my visit they were training a new member of staff and they were very patient and giving her direction without it effecting their service. We had the KoD signature menu and the food was delicious, the fillet steak was perfectly cooked and so tender you could have cut it with a butter knife. The tomato and feta salad was delicious but I do not feel it complimented the steak and fries as the flavours were a bit over powering. Both starter options and the dessert were all exceptional. This set menu is available daily and all times at £60pp. KoD do have lots of offers and new things on the menu and I would suggest you join their mailing list to find out more!

I really wanted to enjoy my experience at Köd’s Sunday Brunch. The waiter was excellent and apologised for the things that didn’t go well. He really brought up the experience. However, the negatives- the salad was not fresh, lettuce was browning, steak was served cold and chicken wings were extremely bland it was unbelievable. Best thing on the table were the chips and peppercorn sauce. Do not bother. People say the atmosphere is nice but it was extremely hot and the air was stagnant- lack of circulation or AC. I find it hard to justify the price.

We had high hopes for lunch at kod and didn’t realise that the usual menu was not available. It was either brunch or a set menu. The starters and dessert were very nice but the main was a ribeye steak reminiscent of school dinners 10 mm thick and 50% fat, I’m aware that ribeye is a fatty tasty cut but this wasn’t. Shame as it was a lovely restaurant and the staff were great.

Absolute joke. From the time of arrival to the main dish it took over an hour and a half!!! It completely ruined my night, the whole waiting thing and food below average. Steak was so chewy that I spat one third in the napkin and 2 thirds I left as it was. Hispi cabbage that was pretty much raw just covered with a bit of sauce and it forces you to get additional side. I don't drink alcohol and I asked to be given non alcoholic drink instead of a beer that came with a deal, and I was still charged a non alcoholic drink despite not getting a beer. Never again. To wait just under an 1h40 minutes for a steak that takes few minutes to cook is outrageous.

I’d seen Köd advertised on social media offering unlimited steak, so being a huge meat eater, was keen to go. I decided to book for my partner’s birthday but I was a little confused by the website as I could only see an unlimited Sunday roast. I decided to email and was pleasantly surprised when I received a response within minutes from a very efficient and friendly person called Morten; a great first impression! So I booked us a table at the City Restaurant. The unlimited steak is just on Sundays though. The City Restaurant is situated in a redeveloped area where neither of us had been before and it looked lovely. On entering the restaurant we saw a member of staff near the door looking rather flustered and were surprised as he didn’t really acknowledge us. He went to the front desk, then said hello but looked very stressed, so I wasn’t too upset by the lukewarm reception. We sat down with the menus, but it was quite a while before our order was taken although we were given bread straight away. We opted for the Signature menu because it had all our favourite things: steak tartare, fillet steak and crème brulée. We ordered cocktails too. Unfortunately, everything took a long time to come. We arrived at the restaurant at 7.15pm and our main course only arrived at 8.30pm. Our waiter obviously noticed we were getting a bit twitchy and apologised for the delay saying it was very busy. The table next to us weren’t very happy either and asked where their food was. It seemed like they had a longer wait than us between starters and mains, so I understood their frustration. It was visibly noticeable that the staff were stressed and under pressure. There were several kerfuffles at the counter where the food came out and staff didn’t seem happy. It seemed like they were all trying very hard but were understaffed. Because we waited so long, we lost our appetite somewhat so passed on dessert. The food was lovely though. We both enjoyed the steak tartare with the hint of horseradish. My steak was cooked to perfection; I have it blue and often restaurants overcook it. The big surprise was the tomato salad, neither of us a big tomato fans so were rather underwhelmed when presented with a huge side plate each. It was served with basil and feta, and the tomatoes were so sweet and delicious. My partner cleared the entire plate and it was a huge portion. I’m not a huge chips fan but they were delicious, but I only ate a couple as I just wasn’t that hungry. We had cocktails, which were fine and some wine with the steak, but there’s not a huge selection if you want just a glass. On entering the restaurant we had a Danish flag placed on our table. We noticed no one else had one, so were confused. I thought possibly it was to do with my partner’s birthday. I’d posted a picture of my partner on Facebook and a friend asked why there was a Danish flag. I said I had no idea and that no one else seemed to have one. She is married to a Dane and said on his birthday he always has a Danish Flag as its tradition. At the end of the meal my partner received a sorbet with a little candle plus a scratch card to win a gift. We didn’t get the £1,000 but won two glasses of Prosecco but sadly we are undecided if we will go back there to claim them. I get the feeling things usually run much more smoothly and we just experienced a bad night, so we should give Köd another go but my partner isn’t so keen (he has far less patience than me and suffers with hanger!) Big shout out to Morten for being the quickest person ever to reply to general enquiries email.

Edit: I already sent an email and received no response, then I get a request to email? Management clearly pretends to care about critique but refuses to take it on board as they are in denial. Original review: Our server was lovely but everything else was a letdown. To keep it short, the food is bland and dry. I also agree with the reviews I’ve read here: you can get far better food at Flat Iron for half the price you pay here. Clearly @eatingwithtod was paid well to “review” this place but the social media comments and Google reviews paint a different picture. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place with the current food it’s serving.

I was so excited to try this restaurant out but was left hugely disappointed and dissatisfied. I went for the Sunday bottomless meal. We were asked our preference of cook on the steak which we chose medium. The meal came out very fast as everything is already precooked, you get chicken wings, caesar salad, chips, and a few slices of beef and gravy. Firstly the chicken wings were cold, dry and lacked any seasoning. The beef came out grey not medium cook, luke warm, very lacklustre. I asked to change the meat and like a slap in the face they bought out a plate of beef even more grey than the last. Looking around at the other diner's I certainly saw a difference in the colour and cook on their steak which was medium to medium rare. I was told the meat in cook in a water bath, in other words slow boild steak which explains why there was no sear on the meat and the texture of almost liver like. Once again I sent it back and the waiter started getting very testy, he bought over the 3rd plate and rudely show me a photo on his phone to say the meat is pink in the kitchen but in natural light it changes which made no sense. 3rd time lucky the meat finally had some coloured but still lacked any excitement. What should have been a lovely Sunday dinner turned into a nightmare! Rude staff and even worst food. What a waste of time and money at £39, per head I expected a lot better and to add salt to the wound £10 service charge for rude uncomfortable service. I would not recommend this place as there are far more superior steak restaurants in London.

Service - great as waiter knew his stuff and has no problem recommending. Steaks- the quality was fantastic but far too small for the price paid and certainly smaller cuts than competition. I would recommend ordering an extra side as you will need it. One very big plus point was that we were not rushed, long after we had finished they were still filling up the waters or asking if we waited another bottle of wine. Absolutely no rush to finish and felt they were happy for us to stay as long as we wanted...unlike others... (Yes, looking at you Hawkmoors). This means a good night continues rather than being cut short, great for clients.

All my friends enjoyed the KoD experience yesterday, from service, food and the ambience as well as the location was very easy to find. The food was made very well, the tender tri tip roast was very good. The tender tri tip came out medium rare/medium well and I honestly think that the medium well was actually the better out of the 2 served. The steak chips was cooked very well, the salad was quite refreshing, I didn't eat any of the chicken wings and a few said it was nicely done with one saying it was a little dry and the pepper sauce was very tasty. I would like to see a few more dishes included on the 'All you can eat Sunday Roast' a different choice of Salad or a different flavour marinated chicken wing. Overall the experience and the food was great! P.S don't forget to add the seasalt when eating the steak!

My friend and I hadn't seen each other in three years, so we were really looking forward to catching up over a nice meal and the location was perfect for that. Update: Went back after being invited by the owner to give them a chance to redeem themselves after our first visit. In short, the steak here is cooked in water baths before being finished off on the grill. This does not lead to a fine dining speciality steak restaurant experience. If that’s what you want, fine. If you want a steak worthy of the price tag, take your money elsewhere. Original review: I had such high hopes based on the reviews but this was a lacklustre experience. For the price, I wish I’d just gone to reliable Hawksmoor round the corner. Steaks & sides were lukewarm warm. Crème brûlée had no snap. For the price you’re paying, it was a poor experience. Not coming back. I think all the positive reviews are for the all you can eat brunch. I wouldn’t bother coming unless it’s for that

Disappointed. Wanted to come to KOD for a very long time for the unlimited sunday lunch. The meat, sauce and chips were so unbelievably salty you couldn’t eat as much as you would actually like. I even asked for chips without salt and they were just as if not even more salty! I know unlimited restaurants do this to limit the amount of food you want to eat and encourage you to order drinks but this feels like a massive scam. I ended up eating no more than £15 of food that i had to pay £43 for. Won’t ever be going again.

Being on a time limit, we felt a bit cheated so complained to another member of staff. Table next to us had a different server and were on round 4 whilst we sat with empty plates and glasses. I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Köd, to our server Nick I believe, and to all the staff (both servers and chefs) for being so accommodating! We had an amazing time hosting our dinner party at Köd and Nick was so patient with our group, he didn't rush us at all even though we ended up finishing way past closing time! The food itself was 10/10 and by far some of the best steaks we've ever had! The trip-tip tacos were amazing and our vegan/vegetarian friends also loved the cauliflower steak! Thank you so much again Köd for the amazing food and for the even more amazing customer service! From start to finish, our process with making reservations, discussing alterations to group menu due to dietary requirements, to adding extra dishes to our evening, our experience with Köd was faultless! Each member of staff we encountered via emails, over the phone prior to our event and on the day itself was so kind and accommodating! The best part for us was finding out that our booking for a semi-private dining room ended up with our group having the entire basement to ourselves and so we were able to relax and enjoy the dinner and space as if it were ours! We can't thank you enough Köd for one of the best dining experiences we've had!

Having frequented KöD Steakhouse London multiple times since its inception, I can confidently say that it consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. Each visit reaffirms its status as one of the best steakhouses in London, known for premium steaks and impeccable service. On my most recent visit, our waitress, Caroline, exemplified the high standard of service that KöD is known for. She was particularly attentive to dietary requirements, advising me on which steaks were Halal. Her recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our culinary journey. Starters We began with a selection of starters that set the tone for an extraordinary meal. The Garlic Prawns & Tabasco Dip featured warm tiger prawns marinated in garlic and parsley, served with a spicy tomato salsa, horseradish, and pea shoots. The prawns were succulent, and the salsa provided a perfect spicy kick, balanced by the fresh horseradish and vibrant pea shoots. The Tri-Tip Tacos were a revelation. These homemade crispy tacos were filled with braised Tri-Tip beef, complemented by a sweet mango chutney, avocado cream, and fresh coriander. The combination of flavours and textures was outstanding, making this dish a must-try. Main Course For the main course, my friend opted for the Fillet Steak (200g) This grain-fed, Angus & Hereford steak, aged for a minimum of 35 days, was a testament to KöD's commitment to quality. Cooked to perfection, it was tender and flavorful, a delight for any steak lover. At Caroline's recommendation, I chose the AU Ribeye (350g) from Australia. This corn-fed, MB3 Black Angus steak, also aged for at least 35 days, was served with a chimichurri sauce. The ribeye was richly marbled and bursting with flavour, and the Chimichurri added a zesty, herbaceous note that complemented the meat beautifully. Sides Our sides included the Tomato & Basil salad, featuring fresh cherry tomatoes, yellow semi-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and creamy white cheese. This refreshing dish was perfect for a warm day, offering a burst of fresh, vibrant flavors. The Butter-Sautéed Mushrooms with pickled pearl onions and thyme were another highlight, offering a delightful, earthy complement to our steaks. Dessert To conclude our meal, we indulged in the Fried Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream and caramelized white chocolate. This dessert is one of my favourites in London, with its perfectly fried pastry, warm apple filling, and the luscious combination of ice cream and caramelised chocolate. Drinks and Deals I paired my meal with the Homemade Lemonade, which was refreshingly tart and sweet, hitting all the right spots. KöD also offers some fantastic deals, such as their Lunch Set Menu for only £45 and the Bottomless Brunch at £69, which is a bargain for the high-quality food on offer. Conclusion As a loyal patron for the past year and a half, I can confidently say that KöD Steakhouse London never disappoints. The team have created a haven for steak enthusiasts, combining premium cuts with exceptional service. KöD is, without a doubt, a gem in London's culinary scene.

The price of Sunday roast has increased probably because of the addition of the chicken wings, which are completely unnecessary in a steak meal. The wine options are also very expensive, so for that total price I would just go to another steakhouse. Also service average. They were not bringing all the refills we were asking and had to ask again and especially a side of mayonnaise took 20 minutes, we had to ask 5-6 times and we were also charged for it!! Unacceptable.

It's hard to put a value in unlimited steak. For £40 you can get steak chips wings and salad as much as you can eat for 1h and 30 min. The meat however, is so low quality that makes this barely worth it. I'm pretty sure that this cut is not even supposed to be grilled. Calling it a steak is stretching the truth a bit. Overall, I think I'd rather get more quality next time rather than having much of lower quality food.

"Absolutely delicious! The meat just fell apart, best chips I’ve had in a long while and the little side salad was different. The drinks flowed nicely (bottomless usually has poor drink service) both the girls serving us were attentive. Can’t fault our experience."

I have decided to change my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. I went today for lunch to have the Sunday roast (this was my 4th time) but this time they changed the menu ... they increased the price from £35 to £39 and added wings and a different salad. I was not a fan of the wings, they were very dry and not very well seasoned. I didn't like the new potato salad, I much preferred the previous salad. The service was really bad today. Food was not flowing as before. It took me 20 minutes to order a cappuccino after eating my meal. Moreover, the steak was not hot and the chips were okay. After today's visit, I am not sure if I will ever come back ... In conclusion, don't sit outside, my experiences inside were much better.

KOD pronounced "code" is a Danish steak restaurant. KOD means meat in Danish. The waiter explained everything and guided us through their menu. We had the KOD experience for 2 which was a mix of 3 wagyu, ribeye and sirloin I think. The steak was cooked to perfection. The sides of mash made with marrow, green beans and sweet potato were amazing compared to the usual boring steak accompaniments in other restaurants. Clients were very impressed with the whole experience. Will definitely be returning here.

Chateaubriand was 10/10, service was 10/10, chips and the Mendoa Malbec were 12/10, literally one of the best meals I've had!

We booked a reservation for Sunday Roast when it was £30 per person only but a month before our booked date the price went to £39 per person. Food- there is only 1 option of steak and we were expecting that there could be more choices of steak. The chicken wings is just normal, nothing fancy. It wasnt that busy but the service takes time, given that you only have 90mins for your booked table the staff took awhile to refill our steak. We have to ask couple of times even though the staff is just standing there. I could recommend that there should be 2-3 types of streak. Overall, its ok for experience.

Service was kind of slow, sat there for over 10 minutes and no one checked on us or refilled the plates. Not really steak, just cuts of beef. Kind of pricey for what you actually get, wouldn't of minded the price if it was actually steak. It's still a nice place to sit in and the staff are friendly when they interact

This is the third time I’ve visited Kod, and I would say as an overall experience my and friend and I have really enjoyed it. Only thing I would say is, the serving of the all you can eat meats slows some somewhat, i feel we end up getting the bill because we’re bored of waiting or trying to get someone attention. Otherwise, I enjoy this place a lot!

Good steak but expensive for what it is I’d say. Been to better steak places.

Not worth it. The food gets cold almost immediately and is not as tasty! Sat outdoors, the heated cushions do not work, the service was slow and they tried to charge us for a whole bottle of wine, instead oof a glass

We went for the alcohol bottomless brunch and it was a great brunch, food was delicious. Those of us who had the vodka lemonade, fresh lemonade which was lovely just didnt taste very alcoholic and trust we had quite a few. The Prosecco drinkers luckily got some effects. The food was tasty and service was great, lost a star as we have never left a brunch feeling sober 😎

Food always great but they could have been a lot quicker with bringing more food out on the bottomless roast. You often have to try to catch the waiters attention and awkwardly ask for more rather than them coming over quickly when they see all the plates are empty. Amazing food all the same.

Steak was just ok. Tri-tip cut too lean. The peppercorn sauce helped. Salad and fries were good. Wine topped up throughout the meal. Service was attentive. Music was thumping inside during bottomless brunch. Outside seating far better on a warm day. Price also increased. No longer served bread or dessert as part of the bottomless brunch deal. Overall it was just ok. Nothing special. Don't always believe the social media hype. No plans to go back anytime soon.

Over priced, not a Sunday roast or steak. On arrival we had no idea what was happening nor what sides were going to come with the unlimited meat. We were not asked dietary requirements. As a pregnant woman I should have been asked how I wanted “steak” to be cooked. Instead I had to ask the waiter after he left so quickly when we were trying to order to make sure it was cooked but still it arrived with my partners extremely rare beef which was full of blood and ran on to mine. On to the sides - this is just chips and one tiny salad coated in mustard between two of you. You cannot call something a roast without any roast dinner items. If you want to add any substantial sides to your meal you are looking at £7 a dish but judging the size of the sides you do get I doubt it would be worth £7. Steak - this definitely was not steak it was a slice of roast beef, if you don’t have it cooked through it is just cold and rubbery. Other meat - flavourless chicken wings. Cheap bits of chicken on an expensive bill. For £39 a head, then a drink each on top £106 total bill is extortionate for some slices of beef, chips and a tiny salad. I’d happily have gone elsewhere and paid £40 for an incredible roast and wish we had now had we known. We were expecting an unlimited roast and perhaps we should have looked into this more than taken on the instagram hype. We were so looking forward to unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire, veg, the lot. We definitely won’t come back. Rude staff and overpriced. Upset by whole experience.

Disappointed in this place. First bottomless brunch I have been to where I haven't left even tipsy. Steak wasn't steak more like beef on a roast dinner. Everything cold. Positive points is the vodka lemonade was delicious and you eat a much as you like however because its not a varied meal you get bored pretty quickly.

I wouldn’t be exaggerating when I Say that this restaurant has offered me and my friends the best experience we’ve had in years! Not only the food is amazing, the lemonade to die for and the venue is fantastic! But the main thing I remember from our visit is Drew! What a girl!!! She is a star and she made the whole experience a thousand times better. Thank you Drew!

I went for the Sunday all you can eat roast, good value for money at £39 but not the best food for your buck. Steak was average, came over cold? Wings are a no! Chips are delish! Sad they don’t do Caesar salad option anymore! Service was average and slightly hectic, likely that they are just understaffed and busy on Sundays. Once seated (20 mins after our booking time) it took another 25 mins just to order drinks. They didn’t seem strict on your 90 mins slot so then we didn’t mind the wait.

My sister and I decided to try their all you can eat buffet. You get served an unlimited amount of steak , chicken wings , chips, and salad. The star of the show were those chips cooked to crispy perfection with a hint of rosemary.I wasn't a big fan of the cuts of steak they were just a bit to rare for me and when asked to get them cooked a bit more they then tasted dry and rubbery. The chicken wings were ok, but I must also mention the peppercorn sauce, which was lovely. To finish, you must order the fried apple pie and ice cream it is absolutely delightful

This was now my second visit to Köd the first time I had something from the menu and was able to choose how I wanted my meat cooked on this occasion it was the unlimited menu, so the meats was as it came and at times slightly over for my personal liking, but still tasty.

Been twice for the bottomless brunch, and was highly impressed both times. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection, and for the price it was great value. The peppercorn sauce, Caesar salad, and chips were also faultless, and the flaky sea salt on the side is a great addition. Would definitely recommend (just try not to fall for the servers’ tricks of trying to fill you up by bringing out more and more of the salad and chips so that you have less steak!!)

Not been here during the week, only for the sunday roast and I love it. The steak is tasty, chips are crispy nit fluffy at the same time. The salad you used to get before the roast changed was my favourite. The new one is still nice, but my personal preference would be the old one. The added wings to the roast are okay. I personally preffered the old £30 roast deal. But still a tasty place to visit

The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere outside, but inside it was more intense and busy. The service was very attentive, and there was always someone around. It was very relaxing and calm outside around 5 p.m., but later on, the place got busier with more customers. Our waiter, Katherine, explained the process and made sure we had a refill of our unlimited steak on the table all the time and checked if we were enjoying everything from time to time. Food-wise, keep in mind that the steaks are cooked medium to medium well, more on the good side with no blood present. The meat was juicy and the peppercorn sauce was good too. We opted for Argentinian Malbec and it paired well with the meat.

We were very much looking forward to coming after so many glowing reviews, we love eating out and are conscientious diners. When we arrived venue was beautiful, tucked down a intimate courtyard. Slight delay in getting going, you have an hour and a half, but very helpful and attentive waiters. The indoor seats that are not the padded bench are wooden with a sharp turn in of the arm rests, in short, tiny, for anyone not below average size, saw all the men with their narrow hips taking one for the team. Steak comes up cooked different each time, despite your two options being medium or well done, we never received Steak in either way, it tasted like the sliced beef you get for sandwiches not Steak. The sides, lovely fluffy crunchy chips, horrendously over salted, peppercorn sauce, a salad that was fresh and fit the theme, and crunchy chicken wings, nice but under seasoned, ironic as the salt content of everything else had you foaming at the mouth.Tables were obnoxiously close, we may as well of been sat with the people next to us, and tables so small despite catering to a Sunday bottomless could barely accommodate the plates. We felt we got good servings, but as with all bottomless it begins to get awkward when the waitors aren't on board, we sent back one plate of beef due to how much gristle it contains, like chewing through bone and sinew. We felt the £30 Sunday roast price on the menu was totally fair for the style and care of the restaurant, drinks were lovely, but turns out it's £39 for their NEW Sunday roast, not stated anywhere on the menu in writing, so that was a surprise. Left feeling, not underwhelmed, but misinformed and awkward, like we'd asked too much, when really, we just wanted what was advertised. Definitely think koD should consider cooking their beef over a bonfire of their own torture device chairs, they can use the misleading menus as kindling. If you like Steak, go to Flat Iron, leave this place to the pretentious.
