This restaurant is charges a 12.5%"Opt Service Charge" which they put it on the bill without informing you (No, having this as a fine print on the menu doesn’t make it ok).

Perfect as always. We had the chips, green salad and truffled macaroni cheese. It was very good !

So, I visited the Flat Iron Soho today with my wife and asked for the Wagyu cut of the day. When I inquired, the waiter told me that the Wagyu cut was the flank. I ordered and I got a ribeye cut instead, but then something happened—a commotion. The waiters erased the blackboard where “Cut of the Day” was written, which made me think they had just received different cut of Wagyu. After finishing my steak (which was just okay), I asked the waiter again if what I had eaten was Wagyu. So the waiter, who was transgender (I’m not sure how to describe them properly, and I don’t want to be disrespectful), told me it was indeed Wagyu (confirmed the second time - lied). As I was leaving, I mentioned everything to the main waitress at the door. She simply responded, “Oh, I’m sorry. Thank you for visiting.” I asked, “That’s it?” and she said, “Yes.” So, the service was bad. Flat Iron Covent Garden was a much better experience. Also I have 100k followers on IG but I didn’t want to tattle on yall online, but come on…

My family had dinner at Flat Iron SoHo last week, and as usual, it was superb. We eat there at least once each time we’re in London. The steaks are always tender and delicious, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We were served this time by Bella, who was just lovely-attentive and helpful. We had such a nice conversation with her after dinner. A beautiful experience as always!

Came today with my mother and brother, Narek was an exceptional waiter! Super informative about the different cuts of beef and specials, would come again for his service alone as he was incredibly friendly and attentive. Paulina was also amazing! Super bartender and very bubbly! If I could I’d rate this a 10!!! Will definitely recommend to my friends

Flat Iron used to be one of our go-to spots for a great balance of price and quality, but after this visit, we’re never coming back. What was once a reliable choice turned into a complete disappointment. We ordered a steak, burger, fries, and spinach dip. The steak was shockingly small, lacking any crispy sear or depth of flavor—completely different from what we had a year ago. The burger tasted like something from Shake Shack, but probably even smaller. Overall, the food felt like a shadow of what it used to be. On top of that, the service was far from welcoming—quite the opposite, actually, with an attitude that made the experience even worse. We planned our entire day around this reservation because it’s notoriously hard to get a dinner table here, only to be told upon arrival that we had to either share a table with strangers or take a cramped spot next to the restroom, where people constantly walked past us. If I go through the effort of making a reservation, I expect an actual table, not something they’d typically offer to walk-ins. This was a terrible experience, and Flat Iron is no longer what it once was. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Flat Iron never disappoints, but our recent visit to the Soho location was truly exceptional, thanks to Narek. As the host, he went above and beyond to make our experience the best one y et - even after more than 30 visits! His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference. Flat Iron Soho is definitely a must. Me and a friend went on a Saturday night and considering it was a weekend and busy we got a table really quickly, but even if you have to wait I'd say the wait is worth it. We got sat down and straight away the staff were friendly and welcoming. They explained the entire menu to us which I thought was really nice. We ordered the flat iron steak and chips and the meal was amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were scrumptious. Considering how good the food was and the whole dining experience I'd say the price of the meal was really good (we paid around £40 when we got a meal each and shared a bottle of wine), and the fact you get a free ice cream on the way out is a really nice touch!

It was my first time at Flat Iron and the whole experience was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked and super tender. The mash was super tasty and the ice cream at the end was a great little surprise! The team was also incredibly helpful!

they serve flat iron cut.... u wud prolly need a reservation if coming in a group... if u r in the area U NEED TO STOP BY HERE! you will get a popcorn upon seating... and a free ice cream upon leaving... fast service... very attentive and helpful...

A great meal. Simple concept and excellently done. One steak, a few sides and dips, all are fantastic. Make sure to book well in advance. They give you plenty of time, so you won't feel rushed. A perfectly cooked steak and chips, mash or vegetables with bearnaise or peppercorn sauce and a beer for under £30 in the centre of London is also unbeatable value for your money.

Beat all expectations. For this price you would not expect what this restaurant lived up to. The service was perfect, food came faster than any restaurant and was a beautiful well prepared cut of meat. Miray and Narek where so helpful and made our experience that much better.

Great food and service. Not my favourite location, the downstairs is a bit depressing.

We would like to highlight the attention of the managers and waiters at the Soho location. We went with a reservation made incorrectly due to haste, for two days later and they found us a table so we could eat in the middle of Saturday at rush hour. Correct food, very simple but well executed menu. The garnishes or sides were very delicious but fair in size. The atmosphere is also calm and pleasant.

The shop was the best we tried in London. Small catalog but very good quality at very good prices. The girl at the reception was kind and the Greek waiters who served us excellently. The food was delicious, we liked it so much that we went back the next day! On the positive side, it should also be mentioned that they give an ice cream treat. I will definitely visit again when I come to London again!

Got in just before a rush so shared a larger table, which we were happy to do. Reasonably priced for a treat dinner, even with us getting a lot of the frills, bavette steaks, a bottle of wine and 5 sides between 3 of us. (5 sides was probably too much for us, but everything was delicious, especially the mash). The food was lovely and all our steaks were perfectly done including my mum who is quite particular about a blue steak. Narek's service was outstanding; friendly and attentive the whole time, and all the other staff were lovely too.

You can never go wrong with Flat iron, is a good steak at a good price. I just feel the soho one the ambient is just not as nice as the others, 15 min walk you’ll find the Covent Garden one that feels more spacious. We were seated in the basement so I feel that’s why I didn’t really love the vibes. But the staff is absolutely lovely, you can never go wrong with free ice cream at the end, and always good steak and drinks.

We made a reservation for 7:30 PM through Google Maps, and after waiting for a while, we were seated. There is only one steak menu, and you only have to choose the side menu and sauce. The side menu is 1. Creamed Spinach (It’s a spinach dish, so you’ll enjoy it even if you don’t like spinach) 2. Truffled Macaroni Cheese (truffle flavor is not strong) 3. Crispy Bone Marrow Garlic Mash (if you like potatoes, definitely order it) 4. Roast Aubergine, Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella (If you like eggplant, you will really like this menu, but you may like it or not) I recommend them in order. The sauce is 1. Wild mushroom 2. Homemade Smocked Chilli I recommend it, and it’s a taste I know. As for alcohol, I personally like sweet alcohol, so I drank Passion Fruit Collins and it was very sweet and delicious. If you ask for a wine recommendation, they will kindly explain it to you. When you collect the bill, you are given Flatiron's signature knife miniature, and if you give it to the staff when leaving, they exchange it for ice cream. (The taste was vanilla) For reference, the service charge is 12.5%. The server in charge, Narek, responded kindly, and although he was not the server in charge, AIDA😍 treated me very kindly in my poor Korean. I had a pleasant meal thanks to aida. This is my second visit to Flatiron, and the atmosphere here was better and more delicious than other branches. Recommended!

Food is always good and tasty, but staff seem to be rude every time I visit. Shame it puts a damper on the meal each time.

We had already heard about it, in fact we were in another one located in Waterloo that we visited days before. Short menu, it has its famous steak for £14 and two more cuts (£23/26) and some accompaniment such as salad, potatoes, etc. Also Burger. When you finish the bill they give you some miniature knives that you hand in at the exit and they invite you to an ice cream. There are several around the city so if you have any doubts and want a safe bet, don't hesitate to use the search engine, you will surely have one nearby. We will go for the third.

They also serve free popcorn at the beginning and free ice cream at the end, which is very tasty. I can't wait to go to London again to eat there!

This tavern (I would describe it) had the nicest food we tried in all of London. Authentic simple and excellent value for money. The service was perfect from the beginning, since they send you an SMS about when your table is ready, instead of waiting in line, until the ice cream they served you at the end!! I recommend it!!

Been a few times to Flat Iron now, and each time compliments the last. Had a delicious burger with beef dripping chips, washed down with a couple of apple ciders. Our server, Oscar, did a fantastic job in noticing the details with our meal, proving additional napkins to fix a wobbly table, condiments and extra drinks when they noticed ours were empty. All in all, great food and service, will be coming back ☺️

Would recommend Flat Iron to anyone. Been to a lot of the branches across London and think this has been my favourite so far. We were talked through the menu by Oscar and I had the special ribeye and mash. Absolutely fantastic - really quick service and delicious food.

Everything was perfect! We repeated the meat because it was so good. Until they charged us 20 optional pounds? For the service. Plus another optional tax also of 4 pounds if I remember correctly. If they are optional, they do not have to be included in the price. They should ask if we agree. We paid for it but that made us leave with a bittersweet taste. Too bad.

Pros: A place where you can meet all the Koreans visiting London, and the price is cheap for a steak (Wagyu sirloin 23 pounds) Disadvantage: Fascia is not removed from the steak and the meat is not soft. Overall Review: It's not a place where you need to make a reservation or wait to eat.
