Noisy teens birthday party in here but everything else was good .

Went for an Easter meal with family. Although the vegetation carvery option (nut roast) wasn’t available, I had the veg and potatoes from the carvery stand and it was great. Lovely selection and cooked to perfection. Ordered a Prosecco and changed my mind. The staff kindly swapped it without a fuss, so that was great service. It’s a shame the paper tablecloths don’t fit the tables, but that’s a small thing in an otherwise good place to have a roast.

Visit frequently. Dog friendly, food is okay.

I like the atmosphere in this pub. The staff are friendly and it's clean and tidy. The staff are a little slow at times but it's a pub after all. The food is a different matter. I had sausage and mash. As you can clearly see by the pics, the gravy is lumpy and the mash is hard in places. I don't think any staff in the kitchen really care about what they send out!! Do they just get told to send it out no matter what?? Anyway, I ate it as I was really hungry so it was edible, just. When we finished a staff member came up and asked if everything was OK! I said no and told him what was wrong with my food, he just looked at me with a blank face and didn't know what to say. I guess him asking "was everything ok" wasn't actually a question it was just empty chat that he has probably been told to do. Well nothing actually happened, not even a sorry! I wouldn't mind if the food was cheap but it's not anymore. I am constantly let down by weatherspoons food so I'm not going to eat here anymore. I just keep thinking, it will get better but after years it's really not!!! No matter what one, they are all the same!
