Very disappointed, had high expectation given the high price, one of the more expensive curry houses in bexleyheath. We actually ended up throwing it away. Dansak was watery and bland and the chicken was pink. The madras was mild, bland and dripping with oil. The Saag Paneer tasted like soil and the naan bread was very undercooked, pretty much raw dough. Looked more like a Chapati. Lamb chops were nice though.

Have visited this lovely restaurant several times and it is now a firm favourite of my families! The staff are very attentive and create an enjoyable atmosphere on every visit! The mixed grill is a must have, perfectly cooked, full of lots of flavour and perfect for sharing! With a wonderful range of vegetarian and meat dishes you are spoilt for choice of authentic Indian dishes! It is very reasonable priced and you receive large portions, great value for money!

A lovely little gem in Bexleyheath. My husband and I often visit and love the goat curry and biryani. Great service always! We would highly recommend a visit.

This place is a saviour for when I crave home food. The curries are so full of flavour and the starters are mouth watering! Love love the samosas chat and the pakore too. Wish they opened for lunch as well.

Very disappointed with the food offered for our lads Xmas do.. mixed grills were just nothing but basic and the curry’s we ordered, 4 chicken and 3 lamb were bland and tasteless .. rushed service as the staff wanted to go home and we told them to embrace a group of 11 guys as they will be quiet in January .. they were disinterested.. really need to up their game. Not a good showing while using the Punjab name.. will not be going back in a hurry.. BYOB concept a saving grace in a way, but can’t recommend this place guys..

Born and raised in South East London I’ve always wanted a place where I can get authentic food, apart from home cooked food. Finally a place locally that serves incredibly tasty food. I can’t wait to go back, with family, friends and work colleagues - any excuse. Don’t expect a posh, quite restaurant. It’s authentic, so noise is a must. The seats are comfortable and there is a good variety of dishes. The problem is you can stuff yourself with starters and that can be enough. But hey live a little eat there and be happy. You can also take your own alcohol - always going to please my friends. Thank you and see you there soon.

This place is so great that my father has been visiting multiple times per week! This is not your standard English version of a knock-off Indian restaurant serving a bland Tikka Massala, this is authentic Punjabi cuisine for those who seek a genuine taste sensation. This is the restaurant that Indians visit for a taste of home. Very reasonably priced and exquisitely seasoned dishes. Dining here feels more like you are visiting an Indian aunt for a home-cooked meal! Bringing your own alcohol is a great touch, I look forward to visiting again.

The Place Looks Like A Cafe Cosmetically. Walk in and The greeting and smiles automatically makes you know you have come to a good place. From our starters and main meal the experience was very good. We could not fault anything. We were visiting there from Birmingham so the comparison was great but it met our expectations.. Well Done All Ladies Working Service Up Front. The Attached Shows The Sense Of Humour Of The Establishment. Ok

The idea of Punjabi regional cuisine is sound but I’m afraid this place does not pull it off. They are charging £15.99 for a large mixed grill but no description of its contents. This cannot be legal. When it arrived it was over cooked, tough and bland. We also ordered the whole chicken which was good. The mains were very average, if you want Home style Punjabi favourites then try somewhere else.

Went with friends on a Thursday night, could take our own bottle of wine which is a bonus! Had the signature lamb biryani (extra spicy) with a mixed grill, was delicious!!! Haven't enjoyed a curry night like this in a long time! Would definitely recommend a visit here if you're looking for causal, authentic, no fuss evening.

worst and most unethical restaurant ever. Not one but 2 very bad experiences. They don’t even respect reservations. We turn up with 5 year old kids and rest of the family after reserving and the lady just said there is no table. We pointed at an empty table which could seat all of us but she wasn’t ready to give us. She kept saying sorry I can’t help and says may be in 30mins we will see. Last time we call them before arriving and they say they had a party last night so the restaurant won’t open until 4. Never gonna try again.

Poor service and communication. Ordered in advance and was told food would be ready 30-40 mins. We arrived 40 mins after order and was told to wait another 10 minutes for food. 15 minutes when past and still no food and no update/apology! After asking about when the food would be ready and why it was taking longer than we were told, the lady began to say the food is only cooked when you arrive (which was not what we were told on ordering and actively tried to avoid any considerable wait) her apologies were disingenious and she was generally rude. Food was average and coupled with the poor service and surround competition, they have lost 2 potential regular customers.

Now under new management but very much the same formula as previously. Very good food prepared with care. The place is not over fancy but is clean and tidy with good service where they actually listen to customers and everything comes out as requested. At least half the customers appear to be from the Punjab so you know its going to be authentic and good value. You can take your own alcoholic beverages too, so that keeps the bills down. We just had a lovely meal for 4, taking our own drink, and the bill was a very reasonable £60. Highly recommended.

This curry house was recommended to me by a local cab driver following a conversation about how curries hear don't live up to the ones I've tried in India. He said that I must try Punjab as it is authentic Indian food and it really didn't disappoint. The wonderful host recommended that we try their famous Lamb Chops to start with that cost around £6 for 4. They were coated in mild spices and cooked so they were tender. Goat curry for main which was succulent and extremely tasty. It's bring your own booze and they don't charge corkage. Will definitely be a regular here from now on.

Had seen a few friends visit this place, so thought we'd give it a go and ordered a takeaway. The food was lovely, proper authentic Punjabi food. Portions were big, plenty to feed the most hungry of people!! My only issue was that the kebab rolls were messy to eat - more our fault than the restaurants! Will definitely be going back for me, and if the food standard is the same, this place will easily become the best Indian in Bexleyheath!

Popped in on a Friday night. New husband and wife owners (husband is the cook, wife provides the service). Food is first class, clean, authentic Indian, freshly cooked and inexpensive (even more especially as you have to buy your own alcohol). Had great Chilli Chicken and the Lamb Chops were fab and my wife enjoyed the Chicken Tikka. Highly recommended.

This is not your typical Indian restaurant where you get your popadoms and chutneys, etc. The atmosphere is more of a cafe but the food was excellent the 3 times I've been. The lamb chops were fabulous and the curry very good. Again the menu or not your normal but don't be put off. A huge bonus is the price. Maybe it's because you bring your own drink, but the bill was lower than expected for the food we had.

Went for a celebration with 10 friends... the service was good and the food was spot on... the restaurant was packed with numerous other groups of people celebrating birthdays etc... and this made for an excellent atmosphere.. the fact that you can bring your own drink was an added incentive in helping to keep the cost down...overall a good dining experience but not somewhere i would go to with the wide on a romantic night out.... ohhh and the need to turn the music down a touch as it was difficult to hear each other talking

This place is honestly awful, the man who served us was so rude and made us feel so not welcome. When we ordered our starter, you usually get mango chutney and onions etc they do not offer this, when I asked he looked like he wanted to kill me.

We've just had a wonderful meal at Punjab. Our second visit there and we learned from the first visit not to order too much as the portions are very generous. We had veg samosas (beautifully hand made) and chilli chicken ( you just have to try it!) to start. Followed by chicken vindaloo. Spicy but very tasty too, and karahi chicken, which was extremely tasty. Vegetable rice (you only need one portion between 2) and tandoori roti - forget naan bread - this is soft, crispy, tasty and not too filling. We ordered just the right amount of food for the 2 of us and it came to £25. It's not licenced there, so it's byob if you want alcohol, which cuts the bill down. Don't go there expecting a posh restaurant. Yes it is a little bit 'cafeteria'ish. It's very relaxed - not dressy or anything. It's quite noisy in there with the Indian music. But it's very authentic and the people are very friendly. Give it a try!

Food taste was really good. Good and authentic vegetarian and mouthwatering chaat items which i did not seen in other restaurants on bexley high street which are not really owned by indians, but by either bangladeshis or others and so are very miserable in vegetarian dishes.

Not any positives to take from dining experience, 'restaurant' resembles a cafe at best, with strange choice of music drowning out any chance of creating an atmosphere. Food is also very poor standard, all dishes seem to be one spice level regardless of customer request. Easily the worst biryani and tikka masala experienced for a long time. Aligor restaurant no more than 3 minutes is a much better choice!
