Pumpkin Cafe in Gloucester

A friendly face and a fresh brew at start of the day. Service brilliant, one of the creamiest lattes ever, and excellent cleanliness. Highly recommend stopping by if you are at this station.

Had coffee and either there's something wrong with the syrups or the milk was gone off. Over 6 pound for coffee and bottle of oasis and I took sip of the coffee then tipped it. Not again thanks

Arrived at the station with about 20 minutes till my connecting train. I realized well into my journey that not getting a coffee at Paddington Station had been a mistake. The Pumpkin is a tidy little shop. I got a latte that was quite good. Was seated enjoying my drink in less than a couple of minutes. It's only really available for travelers but it's a nice little spot.

I was served by Jade today at Gloucester train station. She was very friendly, helpful and polite. Lovely to see staff who care about their job so much!! Great coffee too!!

Coffee is decent but just wanted to say the young lady serving was fantastic. A smile and a hello for everyone and a goodbye as people left too. She didn't stop working and moving from the time I came in to when I left 50 minutes later. Really great service!

Popped into the cafe yesterday as I do most days to be greeted by a rude lady with black hair shortly after paying for my coffee I sat down waiting for my train and I could hear the same lady shouting I looked round to see what was going on and she was screaming in the face of another worker with blond hair I eventually found out the lady with black hair was a manager absolutely disgusting behaviour who ever employes this women should be very ashamed

Absolutely appalling service, asked for a cup of tea with oak milk was given a cappuccino, an apology would of been nice but of course it was my fault, your staff need to take responsibility for their mistakes and definitely cut the surly attitude. I don’t even drink coffee. I will never go in there again nor will family or friends.

I lovely, bright and cheerful cafe. The ladies, (can we still say that?) were welcoming and the coffee is good. But boy oh boy were those tables sticky. I lost the print on the back of my paperback. That's a book to you kids out there.

Whilst the service and refreshment quality were adequate, two things disturbed me: 1. The furnishings are in a disgraceful, third world state. See photo. Not just scruffy but, in my view, unhygienic. The battered chairs showing the inner lining of the cover can not be adequately cleaned and present a hygiene hazard. This is unacceptable and should be rectified as a matter of urgency. 2. There is no clock on the wall. Everyone using the cafe is waiting to board, or meet, a train and the time is of the utmost importance. Summary: the appearance of the cafe suggested a distinct lack of care.

Mixed emotions. Run down cafe that’s not had a lick of paint or upgrade in many years. Foods ok, fills a hole but £3.99 for a bacon roll looking like that is daylight robbery. For a busy station it’s very inadequate on the cafe department

Affordable meal deal, lovely tuna panini and very friendly staff! Spent £6 for a tuna melt, bag of crisps and a coffee. Good value I think. Seating area is nice and comfy, tables are a bit sticky, but everything was nice and clean and the staff tidy up the area regularly. ☺️

This place is tired, over-priced, scruffy and frankly a depressing place to wait for a train at an already unloved station.

Very basic and not inviting. In need of refurbishment. Tables and chairs not clean and several tables unstable. Poor facility for the mainline station in our county town. GWR PLEASE do better.

Food- nice ideas but poor quality bread. Not much on offer. Service is always helpful, friendly and very accommodating. It is always warm and an inviting place to be. I have been coming here for nearly a year.

Fine. But over £5 for a cuppa you basically make yourself and a bar of chocolate, like everywhere these days is an overpriced disappointment.

A conveniently placed coffee shop on the platform side of the station barriers. Generally clean and tidy and a fair amount of stock available to choose from. Downside is a lack of plug sockets so don't get your hopes up in charging up between trains.

Paid £3.90 for a flat white? What I got was a coffee scalding hot and tasteless. It was lunch time and very little on offer

Very friendly good variety of food and all you could need for a journey- magazines, puzzles books etc. very reasonable prices and plenty of tables to sit. Five stars all round!!

They make up their own closing times. 6.30 on the door, you walk in at 6, and they may say: "I'm closing early today. It's not very busy."

The most run down and depressing branch of Pumpkin Cafe I have even been in. The staff were too busy 'cleaning' to serve us and we had to wait for someone to actually acknowledge us. Finally got a coffee which was not great. The seating area is in desperate need of updating as all the chairs have rips in the material and the tables (which have already been painted) need replacing. The place could do with being repainted and cleaned!

A warm café with plenty of seats for sitting in. Plenty of choice of snacks or baked goods. The man who served me made me smile.

Area of seating cordoned off as they were "cleaning it". No actual cleaning going on. Can I just sit there until you start cleaning. No it'll stay cordoned off because we close in few hours. Absolute joke.

I just ‘treated myself’ to a cornetto for an extortionate £2.69. The cone is completely soft and stale. This cafe is massively overpriced and doesn’t do good coffee either. The staff are always lovely but it’s such a shame that the quality is so poor and prices are so high :(

Great service ,very friendly. We were served on Saturday morning by a person with blue hair and I thought the customer service was amazing especially considering how busy it was and how stressful it must be to work there. Thank you!

Poor quality food at an extreme premium price. The workers are respectable and will provide water for free if you ask however I find very little use of this cafe bar sitting in it.

A super station cafe, and the fresh baked pastries are amazing. Super helpful friendly staff too!

Blue haired woman at the counter was incredibly rude when serving me

Sticky tables, and the foulest microwaved bacon bap! The baps are all sat in containers on the counter and they chuck them in a microwave for a minute then in a bag for the customer. The baps are cheap long life ones so when heated they are sticky and elastic. No attempt at buttering the bap, and the bacon as you might imagine inside a steaming sticky roll ends up tasting like boiled meat and smelling odd. The bags also emanate a cardboard like smell with the steam as well. I was asked if I wanted sauce and I asked for brown, it wasn’t in my bap though! It was just a sachet in the bag. No problem but why ask just leave some sachets out for me to select. Really basic stuff. The worst attempt at a bacon bap that I have ever experienced, and I have had many poor ones.

No staff in the front, when you call them, a teenage girl comes out, she looks angry, no smile, no eye contact, not even asking "How can I help you". Bad customer service.

I always get fantastic service by the staff here. Today I was served by Tish, who was warm, helpful and efficient. There must be a really great culture in this place because I always find the people are lovely!

Great little cafe on the station after the ticket gates. Convenient when we were waiting for our coach to pick us up. We returned here on the way back as well. The staff was polite and the cafe was clean. Lots of seating as well!

Missed my train, stayed at the cafe till my other one came, delicious food, not a bad wait.

The staff was absolutely lovely. Pam and her male colleague were above and beyond helpful and kind. Traveling with 4 kids, I really appreciate that tbey went out of their way for us. Thank you! I do wish there was a slightly better selection of fresh foods and some of the seating could use repair/replacement, but that is no reflection on the staff.

We were going out fot the day for my partners birthday, saw an advert that stated £2 for a bacon roll with a drink, we were charged £8.98 for two. When we asked the staff they stated it was a bacon/ sausage roll for £2 when purchasing a hot drink. This is not stated on the advertising board. The staff agreed this was false advertising as very misleading information.

Was a brilliant stop off, we stopped to get a group of drinks and was served by jade.. amazing service and very friendly.

It's a nice place to wait for a train, its warm. A little expensive to be honest but the staff especially tight where very helpful and very friendly and there was a great service from her.

Asked for a coffee, staff member was informal and friendly, got my coffee and somewhere nice to sit while I waited for my train.

If I could give the cafe 0 stars then I would. Awful customer service. I asked the lady behind the till if she could heat a toasty for me and she told me in length that she couldn’t because it would take too long and they were closing in a few minutes. At the time that I asked they were still open so they should have fulfilled my order. In the time that it took for her to explain why she couldn’t heat the toasty and for her to then tell the 15+ people that were seated in the cafe that they had to leave because they were closing, the toasty could have been heated. Other customers agreed that this was very poor service and that it could have easily been heated in that time. Another male member of staff told me he couldn’t do it because he had a train to catch and then 6 minutes after they closed he was still there wiping tables.
