It's an incredible coffee shop with a selection of the world's best coffee roasters all in one place. If you’re a coffee fanatic, I highly recommend it.

Really pleasant solo brunch. When I arrived it was busy, but I could squeeze in without a wait. Attentive and prompt service that wasn’t overbearing (ofc with tasty coffee)

It was really quite upsetting that I waited more than 25 minutes for my filter coffee, raised it to the staff and did not receive any apology. In contrast, the table next to me got their coffee in 15 min, and received an apology that it took so long.

ordered an ice filter coffee, which was incredibly done! and a raspberry & banana muffin that tastes super fresh and moist the staff were so so lovely! chatted with the lady about the beans they use for their filter coffee and she was very informative and kind :D 5/5 recommend! especially their filter coffee

Really good atmosphere! Really nice coffee! Service amazing, they were refilling our water glasses after every sip. The food got to the table in less than 10 min. Overall, very good!

Absolutely superb coffee place. Friendly smiling service - which you ain’t gonna get in a Starbucks for sure …. - coupled with excellent coffee and a great menu for food. The brioche bun was hot with a nice bite from the mustard. Will be back !!!!

Nice place in that area of town. Seems like the only nice place as it's packed. Pain au chocolate was rubbish; basically bread with chocolate and not fluffy like a croissant. Coffee was OK.

Exceptional service! As someone that doesn't know a lot about coffee but was strongly recommend this place; all I can say is it not only met expectations but exceeded them! The pour over coffee is a really unique and flavourful experience, which is appreciable even as someone that's not an expert. To make it all the better, the service is friendly, helpful (doesn't condescend a lack of coffee knowledge) and prompt. Jan made our experience more than a little coffee pitstop and into a memorable stop as we toured London.

Cosy vibes and great customer service. Stopped by for breakfast, can recommend the scrambled eggs on toast and the aubergine on toast, both were delicious. Also had a fantastic filter (No 3) which had a really distinct blueberry muffin flavour. The baristas were all really knowledgeable, attentive and clearly passionate about working there. Will definitely be going again next time we're down in London.

I went here because it was the only café that served my favourite Youtuber-- James Hoffman's roast coffee, but I was blown away by how incredible everything on the menu was! The coffee is obviously amazing, but the eggs are just perfect 10/10 would recommend

Found this place thanks to a quick look at the area on Google maps. The street it's located in looked deserted and I was sceptical about what I'll find here. However, it was as if I entered a different world once I approached the cafe - it was attracting a lot of people at that time of the day (late lunch) and it was packed. That being a good sign, I am always apprehensive of a crowded place so was in two mins about moving to another cafe down the street but something about the place made me walk in and all is they had a seat. The place is decent sized with plenty of seating but was buzzing with the afternoon crowd and the only seat I was offered was a counter stool facing the street which I liked. There are a couple of tables on the pavement as well for people to soak in the sun with their lunch/coffee/pastry. What makes a place outstanding is the people who run it and this cafe was a good example of it. The staff were full of energy and positive vibes managing the crowds pretty well with a smile on their face. I ordered a coffee and was slightly underwhelmed with the sweet treats on offer as I was ready for a big slice of cake which was not available on the counter. I opted for the tempting coconut almond cake and watched the baristas tirelessly make cup after cup of good coffee as the orders came in with the same amount of energy the wait staff demonstrated. The coffee and cake was brought to my seat quickly and they both met expectations. Coffee was just right and the cake was fresh, moist and packed with coconut and almond flavours and I finished every crumb of it. Enjoyed my time there and watching the steady stream of customers entering and leaving the place satisfied, I was pretty sure this place will remain a hit with the people. I'll definitely try the lunch menu next time as the food that I saw there on tables looked quite appetizing.

The food was pretty average and for the price not as good quality as expected. No condiments which made for dry and lacklustre tasting breakfast buns. Some of the service was great - example, I Ordered the wrong coffee and one of the team was so happy to change it no questions asked. However, in general I felt that the service felt a little clinical

Service at Prufrock is faultless. Always welcoming, always very professional and always trying their hardest to find you a seat, despite their popularity. Dishes are humble and comforting and the coffee is on point 👌 It can get a tad cool in there in the winter months and my biggest complaint is no avocado but I have no bad words for this central London cafe with heart 🤍 dish featured is with gluten free bread.

Great atmosphere (didn’t love being next to a speaker though) and even better service. I’m a coffee snob and the iced americano was elite.

Prufrock Coffee is easily one of the best coffee spots I visited when in London. They have expertly brewed drinks and a fantastic selection of pastries to go with them. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to sit and enjoy a top-quality coffee. They have a large variety of coffee beans from various roasters to purchase for home brewing as well. Highly recommended!

Good service and good coffee Food was just ok. Very very loud as exposed ceilings and no soft furnishings so all the chatter is reflected back down. Not expecting silence. But also not continuous reflected noise.

Excellent coffee and food. Their eggs Benny gravlax second to none. The coffee even at busy times always looked after and served at a great standard. The staff though take it to the next level. The guy that served me (had blond highlights and shortish hair, sorry didn't catch your name) was working both days I went there and was very accommodating despite how busy they were. The same goes for the rest of the team, they were all super pleasant, helpful, swift. Thank you 😊

Coffee knowledge and quality at its finest

A must visit, service for me was 1st class, attentive, friendly and welcoming, fast and efficient. I was also lucky enough to attend the SCA training given by Tom who was brilliant.

I never understood the hype of this coffee shop. I know Hoffman owns some shares but he doesn't really directly involved in daily operations. I don't like the fact that for a coffee shop, you have to stand at the door to be seated. It completely destroyed the casual feeling of a coffee shop. It is very noisy, and you can't even have a decent conversation. Feels like trying to be posh but didn't quite get it right. There are thousands of independent and commercial coffee shops in town and i have enjoyed many others a lot more.

Best cappuccino I have ever had Aubergine on toast is a religious experience

Great value, high quality and some interesting choices available. We came to Purfrock after a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Yummy Bacon.

Believe the hype, the mushrooms on toast are amazing. It's table service and we were very looked after to begin with. However I think we were forgotten about near the end and basically had to chase someone down to get a cake which put a dampener on the experience. The coffee was perfect as you can imagine

Super good spot for proper speciality coffee (guest roasts are great) and brunch food - mushroom and aioli on sourdough was delicious. Staff great and attentive. Busy spot. On weekends, we waited about 10 minutes for a table of 2 - totally worth it though.

Great coffee and eggs benny with bacon was delicious. They had no issues with me sitting there for 90ish minutes on my laptop. Only downside is there’s no wifi!

Strange menu, bacon is actually served as gammon. Toast was lovely though! Croissants look better than they taste. Service was amazing

We are fan of James Hoffman, so of course we had to come here during our stay in London. We were so very pleasantly surprised. The service is flawless, it is so nice to see a business that does not understaff. The food was amazing and the coffee excellent. The only thing was that if you get anything more than a flat white, the handle of the cup is not the best and it’s hard to hold it. I had the latte and I had to really put some strength in my finger to hold the cup properly. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

Fantastic breakfast venue. The best eggs Benedict I have ever had. A very generous slice of bacon with a brilliant hollandaise sauce. Thoroughly recommend. The coffee is also off the chart. It was busy when I arrived, but they were very hospitable.

I'm from Amsterdam and I came to London to taste coffee in different spots while working remote... This is the best I tried!! Inspired by a youtube video I saw first when I was home in Amsterdam. Amazing people and coffee!!!!!

Amazing coffee and the menu has great options to pick from. Awesome spot if you enjoy drip coffee. Can get a little busy so don’t expect a quick in and out, even if you’re getting a takeaway. But still amazing service and good prices.

Friendly and cosy! We really enjoyed the coffee! Staff were very attentive and it was easy to catch their eye if needed. I also love the concept of two separate queues, one for take out and one for sitting in. It's amazing they have found the balance between effiency and providing a cosy relaxing atmosphere.

Excellent. Great vibe, great location, and most of all, terrific staff. I had it on 4* (only because they favour Colombian blends, which are not my favourite, 5* spot otherwise) but my experience today gives it the deserved extra star. Will be back soon enough.

Great coffee selection, the staff is very knowledgeable about their beans. Food was not as exciting, the cinnamon roll was dry and looked like it was left over from the day before.

What can I say. I had one of the most memorable and wholesome experiences here at Prufrock, all credit to the wonderful staff -Charlie, River and Jan, who went above and beyond. Back in 2021, I did my Barista Foundation course here and fast forward to 2025, Prufrock continues to flourish and show how exceptional service from passionate individuals can make the experience as wonderful and truly special. Staff were attentive and tailored the experience, always a keen eye for details and caring for their customers. There is no secret to Prufrock’s success other than investing in their team members to serve people and showcase coffee and food to the highest quality. Thank you so much to all the staff for one of the best experiences, and wish all the success and continued growth in years to come.

Absolutely loved this place! Amazing coffee (great quality beans available), fantastic food and lovely cakes. Best brunch I had in a long time. Staff was beyond friendly, didn’t rush us, gave helpful recommendations and checked on us often. Place was packed on Sunday lunchtime, but worth the wait.

I was charged £3.50 for a takeaway cup of tea, size of 200 ml. - a size of a small coffee. What an absolute rip off! For this price you should at least give 350 ml. Shame I heard good things.

What a lovely experience at this place. The staff greeted me at arrival and continued to let me know the status of a table. The food was excellent and they could accommodate my dietary preferences. Of course the coffee was phenomenal. I had an oat flat white that was smooth. I even bought some coffee beans for home and it has been a nice treat in the morning.

Great tasting coffee and service Popped in for a takeaway coffee and a bag of beans. Staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. My takeaway cost about the same as a pret coffee, but was hands down better than Monmouth or any of the other local coffee shops I’ve tried. ++ would recommend

I had a coffee which for a self proclaimed coffee snob, says a lot! It could have been slightly hotter though. The vibes were so nice, very attentive and friendly service. They also allow laptops for working. The food was also really good!

This place lives upto its reviews. They make great coffee! If you like a cup of fancy bean pour over sort of coffee, they definitely know how to make a great cup of it.

We really liked it, a lot of effort is put into both the service and the kitchen. Really very very nice staff. What we missed, however, was a high chair.

Great coffee and very friendly staff. When we got there on a Sunday with a group of 4 at 10.30 am we were told about 40min waiting time, but the waiter offered us instead to stay at one one standing table next to the windows and we still got to enjoy our coffee :)
