Costa Coffee in Camden

Love Costa, I think they have the best coffee out of all the most popular coffee chains in the UK. I went to the one in St Pancrass building by the platform for trains to Luton airport, I'm not sure if this review is written under the correct shop, as the pin seems to point to the King's Cross building, but I didn't find another one. This was a couple of months ago. The very pleasant service made a difference on my travel to the airport and I wanted to say thanks.

My coffee was as costa always is, ok, does the job but not super tasty. Only leaving a review because the staff were really good and quick despite the amount of people ordering coffee. There was a big group in front of me ordering and one female staff member came out from behind the counter and asked me what coffee I wanted to order, remembered my complicated coffee order 😁, and then guided me to another till to pay. I was surprised that my coffee was ready in just a couple of minutes with all the orders. It’s not common that I’m impressed by service here and especially at a train station when you need to catch a train on time, so I felt the need to thank the staff this morning for their great service (10.15am on 14th Sept). Just one thing they need to remember though, to highlight that the chocolate sprinkles has traces of dairy (when ordering a dairy free milk choice in coffee), I’m fine with it as just an intolerance but there are some for whom the intolerance or allergy might be severe.

Absolutely appalled. Fuming doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel. I turned up at 9:45 on Wednesday 14th August 2024, the store closed at 10:00, I picked up a cheese toastie and wanted a coffee. The female worker looks at me and my partner and goes “closed” i went to speak up and the man behind her goes “CLOSED”. is the new policy for costa restaurants to close whenever they feel like it? absolutely ashamed of costa for this and the store will be hearing from me!!

Does not have dedicated seating, however there is station seating just outside. For a small costa had a great selection of food and coffee was lovely.

A good place for breakfast before traveling by train to another city is one.

Staff showed no sign of competence. Customer service was awful. Queue moved incredibly slowly. Waited 8 minutes and there were only 3 people in front of me. It would be quicker to go to the costa next door, and I imagine you would get much better service. I ordered a latte in my own cup. They made it in a reusable cup and when they realised their mistake, just poured it from their cup into mine, essentially ruining the point of a latte. Additionally, they didn’t give me the extra point in the app for using my own cup. (Like I said, no competence)

Great service. Team members were coming out from behind the counter to take orders pre-emptively. I got my hot chocolate the moment I paid.

Staff showed little sign of job satisfaction, they were not interested in providing an acceptable level of customer service. Queue moved slowly. No thrills coffee outlet. Prices were normal. Coffee was normal. Seating area was busy (shared with other food places). Wouldn’t go back in a hurry. The Costa on level 0 is generally better but it’s uncomfortable to enter/ move with it being so small

Got one of the festive drinks and it tasted awful. Pretty pricey too.

It would be great if the female member of staff that was overseeing the cooked food hadn't been more interested in chatting to her colleague whilst the alarm was going off for my food. This lasted for ages and resulted in my food being overdone/dark brown on top. The lady on the till and the lad doing the coffees were great, but utterly let down by the female who just wasn't bothered by how long the food was cooking. For the price of the food at Costa, I don't expect to have a sub-standard experience. Great location for watching the world go by, but you'll get a better deal and service at one of the other outlets.

Came for the coffee. Left with a cortado. Not meant to be fancy but served its purpose before my train to Leeds! Quick easy service and if youve got an extra 5 mins take a walk to the weekday market over the road before going into Kings Cross Station.

i went here to get the bubble tea that i’ve been seeing advertised. the line was very short. the worker at the cash register was very hard to understand and pushy. she paid no attention to us at all when one of the cooks got our order wrong and made a frappe instead of the regular tea. the tea was maybe only so-so. i wouldn’t recommend this particular store. i don’t believe all Costa’s are this terrible, we just got unlucky with the staff. try a different Costa!!!

Coffee wasn’t hot it was lukewarm. Couldn’t take it back as I had a train to catch. Not impressed at all. Should have gone to Greggs

I'm not usually a fan of Costa however I had a voucher to use so came here. I asked some questions about the drink I wanted and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The queue was nice and short aswell. My drink was lovely and was pleased with the service.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere inside. Not much else to say really.

Got the toblerone inspired latte on 23/11/22 before getting our Eurostar. It tasted of warm milk and had no other flavour. It was disgusting I don’t know how it can be called a barista made drink. My partners flat white didn’t taste right as well. We couldn’t take it back in time as we had to queue in St Pancras for the train. Please avoid this costa in particular. Other ones are better.

Very slow. Cashier seems very passive about helping getting coffees ready. Come with patience and plenty of time. One of the poorest managed Costa i have ever seen

The two counter staff were friendly and efficient and I love the Costa egg and spinach bap. Such a good alternative to sausage and ham! Chai latte is average.

Lovely experience, it was quite busy but the staff were all polite and friendly. Fast service and the sausage bap and tea I ordered came very quickly piping hot - adding to the good experience was the fact they put a normal amount of milk in my tea without me even asking (compared to other places I've been where they seem to make it 90% milk 10% tea!)

Staff are hideous, horrible service. Ran out of everything on the menu.

Got to the location at 7:50, 10 minutes before closing time, at which point I was informed the staff already closed the tills for the day. When asked the staff member just raised his arms and said “nothing I can do”.

This tiny Costa on the mezzanine floor above the ticket hall has to be just about the worst I've ever used. Poorly organised disinterested staff.

Had an hour to kill before my train so just had a coffee at Costa. Great coffee as usual and good to just people watch. Best thing is I got a free cake because it is my birthday week!

Coffee was so-so, not the worst I drank, but definitely far from the best. Waiting time was kinda horrendous, but as its close to the train station I can understand. Staff ok, but without that something special. I'd rather go to Starbucks for the similar prize.

Hot Chocolate is yum like real yum, my new favourite and with marshmallows simply makes its top notch. But food needs to be warmed or served hot. I found another guest receiving a hot served snack but when my baby brother requested to warm it up, he was denied of the service.

While waiting away from the hustle and bustle on the main concourse try the upper deck Costa, its a Costa so you know what to expect but the view is worth the climb.

Downstairs at King's Cross station is fast-paced with limited seating. If you have time to wait for your train or for your lover arriving from the east coast, then the first floor terrace is a great location as there is quite a lot of seating and, crucially, you can see the arrivals and departures board, so you can rush down at the appropriate time. The Costa is small, which impacts on its food offering, but there are other outlets if you want something more substantial and, frankly, I just wanted a coffee and a biscuit or muffin. They also do gluten-free, which is a plus... and, the staff were friendly and helpful. What could be better?

This is a ridiculously small Costa with very few seats. More of a commuter rush through. Having said that the coffee was good and the staff polite, it's was with the rush surprisingly clean but has no toilets.

Qualità del cibo e del caffè in linea con gli altri della stessa catena, locale decisamente molto tranquillo alle 7 di un sabato mattina, con personale davvero gentilissimo. Il ragazzo addetto al caffè mi ha regalato due biscottini al posto di uno, e ha disegnato le stelle sul cappuccino.

Enjoyed a nice bacon bap and croissant for breakfast there on Monday of last week before catching the 8.54 Eurostar to Brussels. Also had a coffee there last night as the hotel I was staying in on my way home did not provide coffee in the rooms. Staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The coffee here is of the usual Costa good standards and range of pastries, cakes, sandwiches etc the same as in any branch of Costa. It is an incredibly busy branch which is hardly surprising given its location on the Euston Road but doesn't have the atmosphere of somewhere you can sit and relax. Staff are friendly and do well considering how busy it is.

This Costa is a great place to enjoy a coffee, whether eat-in or 'take-away'. It is however extremely busy most of the time, especially since it's right by the Eurostar departures and arrivals halls!

Costa is my favourite chain. And I'm generally very happy. But on this occasion I didn't enjoy the experience. I found the staff unhelpful and abrupt. The place was extremely busy and full of people just sitting at tables without drinks. And difficult to move around as there were so many people with cases waiting to get on Eurostar. It was the weekend that it snowed and so I can only imagine this was something to do with it given that many other people seem happy.

Each morning I was in London I would stop here at Costa Coffee for a take away. Excellent service, friendly banter and delicious coffee.

Coffee was like tar water and not cheap. Didn't drink much just dumped it in the waste bin. Will not drink Costa coffee ever again when back in UK.

Most mornings in my week in London I would retreat here while my husband showered and dressed in the hotel. I enjoyed every coffee here and some little treat. If not at this Costa I went to one close by! Love the coffee and the place!

Busy, but the staff were friendly. I had the large hot chocolate in a huge takeaway cup, thick, strong and good. Free wifi is always good.

Paramos aquí en nuestra primera mañana y nos decepcionó con el café. Este lugar parecía quería ser Starbucks, pero el barista que mañana no parecía tener muchas habilidades. No volver ya que nos pareció que el café mucho mejor en otros lugares.

Nunca he probado algo como eso en mi vida, y me dan una (café con leche cada mañana) solo tuve una beba y había algo muy, muy malo y me sentí enferma todo el día. Me paré en la costa en la calle Panc decirles y me lo cambiaron pero no hablan bien inglés, así que no podía comunicar lo que estaba mal. Me sentí enferma todo el día nunca ponen un pie dentro de otra Costa de nuevo. Quiero saber qué era, pero nunca lo hará.

A menudo esta tienda para tomar un café en el camino al trabajo. Solía ser cada día, pero yo trabajo menos en Londres ahora. No es un mal costa. Algunos días mejores que otros. Esta visita fue un poco caótico, diferente personal, tuvimos que esperar un poco más de lo que me hubiera gustado, pero fue canjeado por una buena taza de café.

Fui un par de veces a comprar el desayuno. El capuccino normal pero el chocolate no fue de nuestro agrado.

servizio veloce e gentile, ho fatto due squisite colazioni qui con the tradizionale (ma è possibile richiederlo anche con diversi gusti) twinings, ad 1,95£ , un delizioso pasticciono fatto di cereali al cioccolato con stellina al cioccolato bianco sopra per 1,95£, dei brownie a 2,25£, cornetto con mandorle a 2.10£ e caffè al cioccolato con panna a 3,55£

世界ではスターバックスに続いて２位となるコーヒーチェーン店ということです。あちこちで見かけました。紅茶の国？でなぜかやはりコーヒーが飲みたくて、婿に購入して貰いました。カップが大きくて飲み干せないくらいの量が入っていました。味はちょっと薄めのアメリカン？という感じでした。

Per i nostalgici del caffè non esiste posto migliore dove bersi un buon espresso! Fate sentire che siete italiani, lo faranno più stretto e vi risponderanno nella vostra madre lingua. Molti dei nostri ragazzi a Londra sono dietro i banchi dei Caffè Costa.

This is the type of place that you stop by on your way to or from somewhere. They have locations all over London but while Starbucks is more generic to meet for a US oriented taste, Costa Coffee has a bit of a UK bent for its drinks and snacks.

Called in on our way to catch our train home from Euston, Thought it woudl be less busy than the station and we were right. It was busy but we were served quickly and got a table. Our cappuccinos were spot on and we left to catch our train suitably refreshed,

Oubliez le petit-déj à l'hôtel à 10 livres ou plus. Chez Costa, le chocolat chaud est excellent: la grande tasse doit faire un demi litre. A boire en mangeant un mini panettone ou une part de cake, le tout servi avec le sourire et en plus l'endroit est bien situé à côte de la gare. Et on ne vous vire pas au bout de 10 mn. Il y avait là des clients qui semblaient attablés depuis un bout de temps.

La musique à fond qui répond aux bruits incessants (normaux) de la machine à café n'est peut être pas la meilleure des idées ?Quant aux produits servis, on reste sur une chaîne de café bien connue qui propose des goûts standards surfant sur la mode des divers caffe latte machiatto, etc. si bien qu'on est difficilement déçus.Toutefois, le local de ce Costa Coffee à Saint Pancrass / Kings Cross était (alors qu'il était 09h30 le matin) un peu négligé (quelques serviettes en papier et petits emballages plastiques par terre, certains gobelets vides non-débarrassés) ce qui donnait une impression de fouillis pas très net qui mériterait d'être amélioré.

This coffee bar chain is comfortable and quiet, closer to the Viennese cover-your-table-with newspaper places. Costa is known for excellent pastries and the hot chocolate is especially rich.

Very friendly and fun staff! Good coffee and selection of eats. Seating area has a good view of the street. Good Wifi. Ask for the grated chocolate on your coffee in the shape of their logo.

A great location, near the station with friendly staff. I prefer takeaway as the sitting area isn't very large and can get chilly with the doors constantly opening. The latte here was delicious, likely one of the best I've had, and the cakes are decent.

Slow service, little English spoken, and generally dirty. 15 minute wait for service. Coffee tasted OK, but I suggest you take it away and not eat in. Stained, dirty, ripped seating. Battered tables. This is not a place you want to spend a moment more than necessary.

Arriving in Kings Cross, I had a couple of hours to kill before my train home. So had coffee at Costa. Costa coffee is always good, the store is always crowded and busy, so keep an eye on valuables.Service is good, fast and efficient.

Siamo andati svariate volte da Costa. Niente da segnalare... identico a Starbucs ma + caro e almeno a King's Cross anche meno di atmosfera. Cmq il locale in questione è piccolo e scomodo e anche della stessa catena se ne vedono di molto meglio altrove.

Lots of yummy sarnies lined up in a row, just take and go. Coffees good and strong you can't go wrong. Really, it's a nice Costa. First stop for that morning coffee rush.

This was busy and as its a small place, it was cramped. The service seemed to take forever, as coffee service often does as only one person can operate the kit at a time and there never seems to be a system. The staff were pleasant. As usual, its overpriced, but the coffee was good. Handy to be able to have a coffee on arrival or before taking the train.

Offers the same menu as any Costa, does the same as any Costa, prices the same as any other London Costa, decently clean and bright, queues not too bad. Nothing else to say except it's a Costa, you know what you will get!

Tudo delicioso e por preços justos. A franquia da estação King`s Cross St Pancras tem um ambiente bastante agradável, mas geralmente está cheia e pode ser dificil conseguir uma mesa vazia.
