Proper Pizza Tavistock in West Devon

We had a fantastic family sized pizza and side of chips last night. Cannot fault the food or the service.

had takeaway from proper pizza it turned up don't think homemade lasagne will be recommended it was black at bottom and hard mince was invisible this was a treat not wasting my hard earned hear ever again cooking skills training needed

Ordered online for delivery on Friday night at 8. Food supposed to be delivered in 1h 20min. Waited two hours only to find out that our food apparently has been delivered to us already. We spend over £35 for food we have never received, its 10pm, the place is closed now so THANKS FOR NOTHING. Tomorrow, I will be getting my money back and then never again use this place again

A poor attempt at a doner kebab. Soggy limp meat stacked on top of the salad leaving it all wet warm and greasy. Not good.

Great service really nice people couldn't fault them, food portions were small though for the price you pay, would like to go back here but just feel it isn't worth the money you pay

If your expectation is a Burger King level of finesse for burgers, then you'll be disappointed. If you expectation is truck stop, then it's actually not that bad. Rather crude burgers, basic but reasonable. Avoid the chicken though, as that tasted like mushed bread. Chips were burnt, dry, and not edible. Stock seems to be an issue: several pizza base sizes run out early in the evening, as were gluten free, anything with blue or stilton cheese source (which apparently they HAD to throw out as it was too old). Management/service was quite disorganised, with several mistakes made in my short visit. Nothing serious, but hardly ideal.

It was like someone had eaten the ingredients for the topping and then thrown it back up onto a base, cooked it, and served it to me as food. Horrendous!

Had the mixed Meat box the Donna kebab meat was could like not even cooked cold the chicken smelt like fish and the coleslaw well I have no idea what it was but defo not coleslaw I've ever had anywhere. The service was great friendly staff, but the food had let me down on this.

Food delicious, can't say more about it than that! Enjoy going in to see the staff they're friendly and ask how things are which is always nice when waiting for food

I recommend proper pizza! The food is fresh and tasty, we made a big order for 7 people and everybody enjoyed their meals. They went above and beyond to make my boy a pizza burger (previously a special) for his birthday which he really enjoyed, thankyou for that! Appreciated! Waiting time was little over an hour which is fair for a big order, staff are friendly and courteous, premises is nice and clean. Delivery is available.

Having spent the week in the area on our holiday we thought we would have a night off and order a pizza. The man on the other end of the phone was great as was the delivery driver most plesant infact. But the pizza and garlic bread were awful . It was difficult to tell the difference between the box and the garlic bread and all three pizzas were burnt to a rock hard crisp . Did call to complain as said they would return my call as yet no call Shame

Sad to see young lady touching face and adjusting her shoes and socks, to then continue prepping food. A hand wash would have been appreciated.

Wonderful quality ingredients which is evident in the final product! super tasty and fresh with lovely staff and a good price, I can't wait to work my way through the menu! Although the piggie in the middle burger might be hard to beat...

Im afraid I have to say, my pizza was absolutely awful, I ordered a vegetarian pizza ( a lrg) the cheese was like a sauce it was just melted on top, the veg was a complete joke, onion as thinly sliced as you can, we counted 10pieces onion, red peppers about 8 pieces, the corn was completely over the top, as was the cheese like to compensate for the total lack of veg ( basically none) and all covered in that cheese that only just melted, as you can guess the topping ( cheese) was hardly cooked at all and the middle was uncooked, so what I received was a undercooked pizza with corn and cheese,"AWFUL" first and without any doubt last time, i gave it one star because the fella on the phone told me in advance it'll be about an hour, but that's it☹️👎.Xx

One of the best Takeaways I’ve tried. Highly recommend. The staff are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Proper Pizza take card and deliver. Most items on the menu can be customised and you actually receive what you order.

Cheese burgers and chips were absolutely delicious. Order was received on time, will definately be back. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. If you have not tried well worth a phonecall

Had to wait 1 hour instead of half hour I was told, prices advertised online are incorrect and much cheaper than when you order, we didn't get the extra topping we asked for and my pizza had what looked and tasted like burnt charcoal masquerading as meat. Burger hard and chewy, cheese grainy etc.BBQ sauce nasty,food cold. I would give less than one star if I could. Avoid!

Absolutely amazing chesse less pizza spicy chicken and best thing is he will do a topping of your choice.
