The most outstanding baguettes in London. Fresh, full and bloody expensive. Add in a decent coffee and you can sit here and watch the posh cars fight it out opposite Buckingham palace.

My aunt and I dropped in here for lunch after we had done the King's Gallery before waiting to go into the Royal Mews, which are just the other side of the road. The food was amazing and the staff were most helpful. Would definitely come here another year while looking round Buckingham Palace.

Very average place serving mediocre food and coffee! Zero service whatsoever the waitress have no facial expressions and thankless attitude. The location of the place that keeping this restaurant in business by the thousands of tourists! We originally were planning to have our daily breakfast here but we changed our mind by only one visit! Even once was too much.

The panini chicken had a bit of dry chicken. The toast was bland, little taste. Service was good and fast. Price is on the high side for what you get in terms of quality.

Very cramped we were told we weren’t allowed to sit and have a drink only takeaway for drinks we had to have something to eat. The food was just a sandwich and was expensive. The ladies toilet was disgusting so I had to use the men’s. When I reported it the man wasn’t interested and did not apologise at all.

Great service but restaurant was full of flies. They were all over the dark walls and constantly tried to get into our food. Very annoying and off putting. Slice of pizza with chips and a drink x 3 = £48

One toilet per gender, and it is a mess. Pastries were too dry, and small but tasty. Service was okay.

Its quite closer to the palace and i went there around 8 in the morning. Both the food and the service were superb. I met one of the owners while I was there i suppose? A fellow Sri Lankan☺️☺️☺️. Ordered full English brecki to have it there with a cup of earl grey and a sausage roll to go and all were worth the price. Would be back there when um back in London next time ❤️❤️❤️

Don’t expect much. Food was several overpriced for the product. Staff wasn’t very patient with our ordering. Maybe it’s a one off but I would suggest elsewhere.

Visited London for the day. Was near Buckingham palace and looking for a small cafe to grab a quick late lunch. Doesn’t look much from outside, but was cosy and clean. Staff were v friendly and food was v nice. Not overly priced either.

We happened to pass by there while waiting for the changing of the palace guard. Top address for brunch!!! I recommend. Welcoming and accommodating staff despite the lack of space for strollers and babies.

Wir sind bei Regen gegen 16:00 aus den Royal Mews gekommen und hatten noch nichts gegessen. Da kam und diese Gelegenheit gerade recht. Schnelles gutes italienisches Essen mitten am Nachmittag bei etwas höheren Preisen, was man bei der Lage am Hinterhof des Buckingham Palace allerdings verschmerzen kann. Essen plus Softdrink ca. 20 £. Die Bilder der z.T älteren Bewertungen geben alles gut wieder.

When we came out of the Royal Mews around 4 p.m. we hadn't eaten anything yet, so this opportunity came in handy. The little Italian is more of a café than a restaurant. The atmosphere right at the back entrance of Buckingham Palace is cozy, the "English ladies" who had their 5 o'clock tea a little early spread a royal flair. The food was good and reasonable for the location at just over £20 for a meal and soft drink.

Average food, nothing extraordinary, good prices for the area near the station (English breakfast from £16, but large portion), friendly staff 😀👍🏻

We had a great experience. We ordered two burgers, one Greek salad, and a turkey club. Everything was cooked perfectly. Perfect spot to eat if you’re coming out from the Mews.

At 9 a.m. on Sunday morning, I stopped by on my way to Hyde Park for a run and picked up a Caesar chicken salad for 12 pounds. There was a lot of chicken breast grilled on the grill, and it was moist, soft, and very delicious. Instead of croutons, it was topped with a warm toasted baguette, which was also delicious as it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

What a great find. Just a few rainy steps from The Queen's Gallery, this brilliant cafe has a marvellous menu and delicious food. We ate a late breakfast of vegetable soup and I had a sausage sandwich. Both very good quality and excellent service. Washed it all down with a black coffee. Ideal stop off on a tourist trip.

As you would expect on Sunday lunchtime the cafe was very busy. A lovely lady asked if we would mind waiting for a table; we were very hungry so obviously said yes. And it was worth the 5 minute wait! A hearty full English with all the necessary bits for the other half and a breakfast sandwich for me. The service was prompt and friendly, the food was excellent! There was a lady with obesity problems who needs to have a vacation in Brazil since apparently she was having bad days (that's the only thing I can think of that was happening to her because of her way of treating clients, unfortunately for her, Portuguese is my fourth language and I could understand all the garbage he talks about me) it was not a good experience

Truly a 3.8 spot. The location is great, right outside the palace. Calamari and bruschetta were delightful. The cordon bleu was okay. The texture and flavor did lack in areas, while the bread ended up being too hard. The fish and chips were truly done well. The flavor, crisp, and overall plate were enjoyable. The tuna pasta plate ended up being too oily for my liking. However, it tasted nicely. The overall meal was enjoyable, and given the location, the pricing matched up. Enjoy life... cheers

The food was really bad, chamomile tea as well. I've never had a tasteless tea so far so the company most likely buys the cheapest products. I've ordered carbonara pasta but it was full of grease. The portion was indeed generous but it was tasteless, lacking of condiments. Sorry but I'm not trying to get a heart attack from all the oil. After I complained the staff said “the best I can do is to offer you a discount” and I obviously refused to pay because it wasn't edible. The staff was really friendly and understanding, they are probably instructed by the manager or owner to give discounts instead of refunds. I tried to eat it because I used to work as a manager and I hate food waste but it was impossible.

On my trip to London, I stayed at Reuben's Hotel, a few stores fronts down form the hotel is Pronto A Mangia. My family ate breakfast at the Pronto's twice, and enjoyed ourselves at the restaurant. It's a small establishment, so arrive a bit after normal breakfast time, there is a very limited outdoor seating, plan accordingly. I had the full English breakfast, which was a hearty meal, well priced for the portion of food, and really enjoyed the meal. My cousin had a pasty, which is an English version of an empanada, and it too was good. The second time I shared my English breakfast with my cousin, who had chicken panini, and the panini was also good. I can't speak about lunch meals, I only went for breakfast. The staff were friendly, helping us figure out the menu, and serving us well. The prices are both well and bad priced depending what you are getting. Overall I really enjoyed both my visits at Pronto A Mangia, and would consider heading back for breakfast on my return visit to London.

Place is a bit small and dark, but the staff is nice and the sandwiches are good! Don't expect much of a sit down vibe, it's clearly for getting food fast and getting out. People giving it low ratings can't read the room - It's a sandwich shop near a major tourist spot, people.

Stopped for breakfast, seems to be a varied choice with a higher price to what you would normally pay but that's expected given the area. Didn't fancy paying £14 for a fry up so opted for a ham and tomato toastie at £7.50...disappointing, basically two pieces of toast with a couple of slices of tesco value ham and a few slices of tomato (would have expected salad or crisps on the side). Daughter had some pastries which were reasonable and a milkshake which was also not worth the £7 price tag. Toilets grim, water logged floor, and dodgy tap. Staff were polite enough. Wouldn't go back or recommend.

If you are visiting Buckingham Palace and need a bite to eat, EAT HERE. Stopped for lunch, it was so good we came for dinner. I just had spaghetti and salad, my spouse had mushroom chicken. For dinner I had a caprese sandwich on ciabatta, my husband had lasagna. EVERYTHING is fresh, including the bread. Everything is made to order. It’s a small place but busy and clean(I watched them sanitize the silverware). The wait staff is very friendly. They have a pretty good menu, we just happened to pick food we are familiar with and we were not disappointed. Sorry, should have taken more photos.

Ordinary coffee, not a great selection of cakes. Once we were finished eating staff took our cups and plates immediately and told us they would bring the bill then asked us to leave. Staff told us twi woman had been waiting for a table for 5 minutes so they told us to pay our bill and go. Not many cafes in the area so not much choice. I think they take advantage of their location and charge accordingly. Food I saw being served did not look appetising so that’s why we only ordered coffee and cake. Staff seemed rushed. Seating is crammed in.

Very rude waitress. Ordered fish chips vegetarian option. She served it with a limp of dirty bacon attached to the fish !! absolutely horrendous. We complained and we made her remove our plates. No apology from her. No offer to replace it. Totally useless service. They are like dumb idiots. Close the place down.

We stopped here for lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming and service was prompt. We were having our drinks when we were asked if we would mind moving tables so a larger party could be accommodated which was a slight annoyance after settling. We then had our food served which was delicious and well presented. The prices were quite expensive but not unreasonable considering we were in central London. The toilets however were not very clean or hygienic.

We decided to go for a business breakfast as our usual place was closed. So as only across the roads we went to Pronto A Mangia, When we got inside we were told to take a seat, the door of the restaurant was left constantly open so it was quite cold inside. A waitress came over to take our order and must have been new because she needed 3 attempts to get it right, which is fine. We ordered 2 Full English Breakfasts with sides of chips and diet cokes. The breakfast at nearly £14 are small 1 egg per breakfast, the chips came 3 minutes earlier than the breakfasts and the breakfasts themselves were cold. I complained but could tell that it wasn't worth sending the breakfasts back as they would have been shoved in the microwave, the diet cokes never arrived. On paying the waiter kindly knocked the cokes off the bill as if he was doing me a favor. I explained that we would not be back after this experience..

The cafe is near Buckingham palace .so it's full of tourist . Just few meters away on the right you find quieter ones. Here it's crowded and literally they chase you away from the shop after they take the order to go out and wait saying they will serve outside . Sort of rude .

We went a couple of times during our stay in London. The location is very close to where we stayed and Buckingham Palace. The staff was wonderful, the food was very good and the prices were modest. Lovely place to eat.

Right across the lovely Buckingham Palace is this attractive spot ideally located across the entrance to the Palace Mews. Upon entering, the host was quite rude. Patricia (the waitress) sat us. It took a while for her to take our order (she splitted the group arbitrarily in two, and served one about 25 mins before the other) when she quite aggressively interrupted one of the ladies’ ordering to advice “make it quick, I have a lot of work to do”. She did not answer that lady questions regarding the menu. The food also took a while. My cesar salad was confused for a chicken salad. The floor has a chronically leaking problem and was all covered with green paper. When i told the manager, he just shrug and said “ok, thanks”. The food was easily forgettable but not as bad as the service. A few minutes walk ahead you can find a spot between buildings with a few lovely and specialty restaurants. I have been around for a while (i’m 63) and few times, if ever, had seen such a rude and mean behavior in a waitress.

Called for breakfast before going on pre-booked tour of Buckingham Palace. Insufficient staff who were also slow in coming to take order. Food and drink good. Had to queue in shop to pay the bill. Not the place to go if you are in a hurry!

From the outside, this looks like a reasonable eatery, with it's nice deli style entrance, but don't be fooled.The table area is cramped, with customers bumping into each other, and staff adding to the mix.Whilst expecting to pay a little more for food in London, especially bang opposite Her Majesty's residence, this is ridiculous. The quality of food is dire, just regular catering style frozen chips, chicken nuggets meats etc, stale ciabatta bread, toasted in a vain effort to disguise the fact, but still commanding an £8.50 price tag for chicken, ham and cheese ciabatta sandwich. My daughters handful of frozen chips, and a few frozen chicken nuggets drove in at £7.99.Not good value, not good quality, not good service.Avoid like the plague.....or just waste your money, it's up to you.

We went to Pronto for a quick breakfast before touring Buckingham Palace. The restaurant is clean. The food was good and portion size is generous. We were seated and served quickly. Restrooms are in the basement and NOT handicap accessible. There is also a counter for take-out.
