We had our intimate wedding at Priory House in August 2023, and it was incredible. The staff were amazing, and so very helpful. They really pulled off our perfect day - thank you! The grounds itself are absolutely beautiful and made for some amazing photos. The room we had our ceremony in was perfect. Could not recommend Priory House enough for a local intimate wedding!!!

We had our Wedding at Priory House September 2023. It was an amazing day. We had started the planning with the wedding coordinator back in June 2023. Jackie and her team were amazing. Our ceremony took place in the Jacobean room which was perfectly decorated to match our colour theme. While we enjoyed taking photos out in the Priory gardens they turned this lovely little room into a flawless cosy setting to have our afternoon tea. The food was delicious, prepared and served with the utmost care, catering for the dietary needs of some of ours guests. We've given them Five stars, but they deserve a million.

On 8th June we renewed our wedding vows to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The venue was beautifully decorated for our arrival and we were made to feel so special throughout the afternoon. Our guests were well looked after, everything was seamless and the afternoon tea was scrumptious - thank you so much to Jackie and the team for making the day so special for us!

Myself and my partner recently got married here after our original wedding venue cancelled on us only 10 weeks before our big day. From day 1 up until the big day itself they were so helpful especially our wedding coordinator Jackie ..we definitely couldn’t have done it without you so thank you so much. The room we had our ceremony in was beautiful. The afternoon tea they put on for us afterwards was lovely and the food was amazing, catering for all different dietary requirements. They made everyone feel welcome on the day especially helping out my nan in law when she needed it as she’s in a wheelchair. The gardens outside for the photos were beautiful, we will definitely be taking a trip back there soon. Would highly recommend anytime of year . 5* service

This was hands down the best afternoon tea EVER non vegan version also good, we bought cakes home as sarnies, savouries and mincemeat scones filled us up.... They can do GLUTEN FREE Amazing staff and the best leaf tea, as much as you can drink, blended to their own recipes and there are many... I defy you to find a better anywhere.... beats certain famous names who charge 2, 3 or even 4 times more by a long long way for quality, price, localally sourced and ambiance and charm....

We booked for 4 people but were able to add a 5th person last minute thanks to Lisa who organised this for us. There was a huge choice of different teas and a few coffee's to choose from as well. You can have as much tea/coffee as you want and you can swap between different types as well. Service was very good and we were not rushed at all. Savories and sandwiches are served first, followed by scones and then cakes. Plenty of food, so much so that we had a some of the cakes boxed up for us to take home.

Group of 20 pre-booked. Weren’t ready for us. Waited an hour before getting a glass of fizz which was warm because not enough fridge space, no ice cubes etc. said they weren’t aware we were having Prosecco. Over an hour before a sandwich appeared. Over full tea pots meant they leaked over table. Asked for water 4 times before it came. It’s scandalous. No apology or explanation. Just excuses. Never again.

My family and i visited Priory House today for lunch, the food was very nice and our waitress was very attentive and polite ( did not catch her name but she had blonde hair and glasses). After our lunch we passed through the gift shop ( you have to leave this way due to a one way system i presume ). The young lady behind the counter was also very polite, professional and answered a few questions we had about Dunstable's history. Unfortunately, not all members of staff seemed to be so polite. As we made our way from the tea room to the exit we were extremely shocked to hear an older lady with blonde hair talking about another member of staff ( i presume ) in a foul way including some unsociable language at the top of the staircase ( near the entrance door) . This did tarnish our experience slightly, still 4/5 for the fantastic service. Glad to see you still open and doing well.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and discreet. We were left to enjoy our tea without being rushed nor neglected. There was a wide range of different teas to enjoy (and opportunity to purchase to take home) and the gluten free cakes were outstanding. It's how issues are dealt with that show an organisation's true level of customer care. There was a problem over our online booking so we weren't expected and our table double-booked but the staff and kitchen went over and above to ensure we (both parties) were all looked after and happy with our experience which was very much appreciated. Top marks! We shall definitely return. Thank you

Visited here for lunch at the beginning of April and was very impressed by the building, service, quality of the food and the very reasonably priced gift shop. Wanted to try the afternoon tea, so booked an afternoon in half term. Warning, Saturdays are very popular. Be prepared for a detailed, phone conversation when you book, they want you to enjoy yourself. Their phone line is a bit dodgy so you may have to repeat yourself, but staff are so apologetic and charming that it really isn't a bother. They do require a deposit. On to tea; there is a huge selection for you to sample, the peppermint is to be recommended. There are also coffees. We elected to have a glass of Prosecco, while we browsed the tea menu. The savouries were lovely. My friend is vegetarian so hot cheese and tomato tart for her, chicken pie for this carnivore. A generous portion of different sandwiches for us both followed by hot, fruit scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam. Three cakes each which we thought we could manage. We were wrong and the excess were boxed up for us. How good is this place? Well this morning I got up to book a birthday treat for another friend. I had to wait for them to open. Highly recommended

I love the Priory Tea House. Their cream tea is amazing; It’s delicious and filling. The Service is to a high standard and the tea choice is extensive. You can have as many refills of tea as you like, so I tried quite a few different teas. Coffee available too.The child’s cream tea was disappointing due to no mini hot dog included in Bonfire cream tea and only a few finger sandwiches. He was 5 and very hungry so I ended up buying him an extra proper sandwich. They managed to sort him out with a mini hotdog which we appreciated as he had been expecting one. Except for above, we’ve always had a brill time and love going back there.

For a special treat, we booked afternoon tea well in advance and it was something we’d been looking forward to and were not disappointed. It is very true that you need to allow a full two hours for the afternoon tea experience. It’s nice having such a wide choice of teas to try out, you can have an unlimited supply of different teas, often served with different crockery each time. A really good time to try something a little different. We had a nice selection of dainty sandwiches which went down very well. Part of the deal included scones, nibbles and some other little cakes which were all nice. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. For the actual serving of tea, we were attended to by the same waitress which was a nice touch. If there was one area for improvement, the option of having another round of sandwiches included would have been nice but that is being a little picky perhaps. Surroundings are lovely, for Dunstable. Overall a very pleasant time, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea and would happily return for another special occasion. Excellent, thank you.

Only downside was that we booked for 3pm as this was the latest time we could book so was a bit rushed as they close at 4.30 so we took our cakes home with us (that was an option for everything if there was too much to manage) & there were loads of sandwiches but we managed to eat all of them! My husband treated me to lunch, having booked a table in advance, as we were passing through Dunstable. On arrival at around 2:00 there were quite a few tables vacant, which was just as well because no-one had any knowledge of our booking.

Great place to meet friends etc. Excellent choice of tea plus a great menu board. Choices of hot food to club sandwiches, cakes and cream teas. No booking required but for the cream tea and groups booking is advisable. This place is in Dunstable and is just inside The Priory Gardens. Priory church is situated in the gardens and is well worth a visit to.

We had an afternoon tea with prosecco, what a lovely treat. The sandwiches were freshly made and varied, the scones with jam and cream were a delight and the cakes to finish were the best. Lots of choices for tea varying in strength and taste and even a good selection of coffees (although we did not try them). The 2 ladies that looked after us,Sharon and Teresa were very helpful and charming and made you feel comfortable without rushing you.

We had a lovely afternoon in this establishment. there were 3 of us for afternoon tea, I had purchased it as a gift for my friend at Christmas. The tea itself was perfect and we were offered many different blends, I chose the Queen Elizabeth which I really enjoyed. The sandwiches and cakes were a good assortment. I would like to thank Hazel Carey for helping us to book our afternoon tea, she was most helpful when we were trying to organise the date, we all appreciated the help she gave us. A helpful and valued employee

A very welcoming experience thanks to the excellent heritage centre guides who knew their stuff and pointed us in the right direction. The Centre is a must visit not just for aged train spotters but for every one. The line has a new future with East West Rail which needs all our support to get locals back on trains. Great coffee and cake made the day.

It started well with a good selection on the menu. When we came to order our breakfast sandwiches my friend asked how much it would be to add an egg to her bacon sandwich, at which point the waitress advised that the prices on the menu had increased so weren't correct & could only say they had gone up by about 50p. On asking for a sparkling water she advised that had also gone up by 20p maybe 30p, these increases were due to the cost of living increase. When we questioned why the menus hadn't been updated she advised there were new owners & it hadn't been done yet but that there was a sign on the wall inside the shop advising of the price increase, we were sat outside but to be honest anyone entering the shop wouldn't have seen it as it would have been behind them. She then brought out the A4 sign. She also tried to find an updated menu which she couldn't find. Firstly I am sure this must be illegal to advertise one price & charge another & secondly a hand written note could have been added to the menu or a copy of the price increase attached to the menu which everyone would have seen. Maybe the new owners should hold fire on the price increase until new menus are available as it may save their reputation. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty, however the 'glass' that accompanied the sparkling water was in fact a jar with a thread for a screw top. Some might call it funky but not to everyone's taste. Needless to say it wasn't used. There are standards which have to be met & the clear advertising of correct pricing is one of them. We are all effected by the cost of living crisis & on occasions when we do our bit to support local businesses we might be watching the pennies too.

First time in this local pub for a Sunday roast and didn’t disappoint Friendly welcome and lovely service from all the ladies in the pub All of us had roasts and best roast had for some time went large all the meats and decent portion and selection of veg Finished off with lovely creamy ice cream and can recommend the sticky toffee pudding Good pint London pride and nice hot floater coffees Will take some beating for friendly staff and decent food
