I came in yesterday with my mom and her best friend for their first lunch in London. They’d just arrived that morning and mom was a bit down since she’d broken her foot a few days before. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience for them. The entire staff were so kind and helpful and the food was SO good! Also, the seating is so cute, with comfy couches and chairs all around. I’m not in this area often but when I am, this will definitely be on my list to return to!

The steak pie dinner is what I'd describe as being a typical London pub counter meal: tasty, filling, and exactly what I was after to accompany a pint of Guinness.

We stopped by here for a quick drink before our dinner and we liked the overall experience. We would have ordered a snack but it seems the pub only has like 4 items on their menu that are nibbles, leaving us with few choices. The floor was also slightly sticky where we sat. Nonetheless there was nothing that would stop us from ever coming back as the beers and service were good.

I like the live music in this pub. But the food and beers are also very delicious. The service staff is very friendly and cooperative. I feel very good in this pub.

They didn't accept us because we were Italian, I went with some friends and we politely asked for beers, the owner told us to leave because we were Italian. What bothered us is the reason behind this refusal. 4 quiet friends who simply wanted to end their holiday in London sipping a Guinness. Last evening ruined.

Dopo una serata con amici per festeggiare l'ultima serata a Londra, abbiamo pensato di bere qualcosa insieme, peccato che una volta entrati , dopo aver esclusivamente chiesto se potevamo prendere delle birre e una coca cola, é stato innanzitutto risposto che il sottoscritto era troppo ubriaco per stare nel locale (il che é divertente perché sono astemio). Dopo aver cercato di chiedere spiegazioni abbiamo detto che forse era perché parlavamo un inglese diverso essendo italiani, la risposta é stata una risata fragorosa in faccia e ci é stato detto "no Italians no" . Non sappiamo se non accettassero italiani o altro, ma fatto sta che siamo stati costretti a concludere la serata alle 22.

Non ci hanno accettato perché eravamo italiani, sono andato con degli amici e educatamente abbiamo chiesto delle birre, il proprietario ci ha detto di andarcene perché eravamo italiani. La cosa che ci ha infastidito è il motivo dietro a questo rifiuto. 4 amici tranquilli che volevano semplicemente concludere la loro vacanza a Londra sorseggiando una guinnes. Ultima serata rovinata. Non mi sono mai sentito cosi offeso in vita mia.

A pub with a quiet atmosphere, good and abundant food, although perhaps with few options. It caught my attention that they asked about food allergies. The service is fast and friendly. Ideal if you are in the area and want a safe bet with availability without the need for reservations.

Great local pub. Cold beer, good food and eclectic decor, but homely as well. Cannot rate the staff highly enough. Were very friendly to a visiting Aussie!

Waited quite a while for our food. And it wasn't great, wasn't bad either, but for that wait I wished it had been better and the nachos were quite a small portion. The line music was nice, but we were in the back with a wall blocking the sound and it was still very loud. The staff was the best part of the place, they were very nice.

Horrible customer service in the whole area. I live in the area for 10 years, but in the last 2 years, I have never seen a staff so rude in my life like in this pub, especially the Steroids guy 👎🏻

It took them an hour to serve a fish and chips. Two people for the entire bar, we could not repeat a drink due to the number of people there were to order at the bar. A service disaster. And on top of that... EXPENSIVE

Nice place but poorly organized (today anyway). I've spent days trying to reserve a seat for the footy today. Not possible on the website and nothing in their emails to subscribers. When I walked in the guy says "sorry, we don't take bookings on the day of the game". Since I only flew in last night I couldn't do anything else. Pretty bad form guys

Good location and clean and tidy pub but the food gave 2 of us diarrhoea! Coffee machine also not working!

Literally the worst, most dry, least flavorful fish and chips I've ever had in any country. Absolutely inedible.management comped us a couple of free drinks, but still hungry so making our way to Taza kebab shop by Bayswater tube station who never let us down.

Typical London pub with live music after a certain time, children cannot stay in places that sell alcohol after 9pm, we had dinner at 8.30pm we tried fish and chips and sandwiches, everything was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended if you are staying in the Queensway area

We came for live music at 8:00, assured by the barman it would be on. After five overpriced pints and two mediocre meals we left after 9:00, with no music in evidence.

A very lovely location with great views, good fish & chips, and fresh flowers at all the tables. Staff was very nice and you could easily get someone's attention. Only complaint is that the cottage pie seemed a bit microwaved in how the heat was distributed.

Prince Alfred. British fare in a lively pub. Fish was great, light and batter was fluffy. Unfortunately, frozen fries make it only an average experience. Could see this place hopping for a band or watching a big match. . Dude’s Food Score: 4 🌟

First time in London and we found this pub. The service from the bartenders was absolutely fantastic. The food was just as good as the service. We will definently return

Lovely and cozy pub in Bayswater. We really enjoyed when we went there. This pub is so big (2 floors) and sometimes they organize live music concerts, we had great time playing board games as well. Highly recommended

Nice place but menue promised pie with leek fennel and courgette promoting the pastry. Got plenty of mash in a pot with little mushroom and onion. Very sad.

Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Stopped for a drink but ended up staying for food as the staff were so lovely. The food was delicious and the drinks where reasonably priced. The food was received promptly and to a high standard.

Very nice place, as a plus - it's not crowdy, so you can talk with another person easily. Good food, good beer, good atmosphere :) And yes, I rly enjoyed my burger! It's a common thing in London, you order and pay @the bar.

Local pub to where we were staying and fancied a beer and pub food. 1st round, 1 beer and a glass of wine. £15.00, okay for London. 2nd round, 1 beer, a glass of wine, fish and chips, (£16.00) and veg pie and mash (£14.00) total came to £71.00. ?? Queried the bill with bar staff who served us and her answer was, there is a service charge. Certainly not £25.00 worth. Bar staff then said she'd got it wrong. I assume it was the manager who then voided the transaction and gave a glass of wine for free reducing the bill to £36.00. The food was tasty and hot and value for the money. The visit may have got higher than this rating apart from the overcharging, which is difficult to understand how it happened..

Just went for a walk with my mother after a long day trip from Portugal. Found out a good music taste Pub with amazing staff and Nachos. Small talk about local and foreign beer was awesome. Just don't want to go home...

A fantastic little gem of a pub. Lot's of tables and serving fantastic traditional pie and mash amongst other gastro delights. Very well priced. Really nice place to stop the shop and eat some meat.

Alla mia richiesta di cambio ho avuto l’impressione che non volessero capire. La graziosa ragazza che ci ha portato il cibo aveva bellissimi capelli molto lunghi che finivano sempre nei piatti che serviva . Inoltre indossava un larghissimo maglione le cui maniche molto lunghe le coprivano più di metà mano e quando portava i piatti sia le dita che uscivano dalla maglia che la maglia finivano all’interno del piatto. Cibo di qualità sufficiente, ottima birra. Bella la musica live.

Friendly staff. Food was excellent. There was a mistake with my order and they replaced the whole meal as well as offering a free dessert to make up for it. The ice cream was delicious and enough to feed the three of us plus extra. Fantastic service. Thank you!

This pub was located quite close to our hotel so it was common to come in here to tip a pint or two. Cheers!

Expensive with not justified quality even with a very very limited menu.

Visited for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was relatively empty but food took a long time to arrive, about 30mins. The food was good. There is a very limited menu and therefore even more limited if you are vegetarian. Service was good. It was really cold in the whole place. The inside is huge so suitable for groups. Drinks selection is extensive.

Dropped in for lunch and ordered the fish and chips. I was very disappointed by what I received, and not the best service, not really what I expected at this price point

Mooie bar. Was erg rustig toen wij er waren, maar dat was overdag op woensdag. Bediening aan de bar is vriendelijk. Live muziek is er op donderdag en vrijdag. De pint Birra Moretti werd in het Moretti glas getapt, zoals het hoort.

Came in for lunch the other day. The pub smells of stale beer and needs an air out. Fish & chips were underwhelming. I have definitely had better in central London, especially at these prices.

Great live music on a Sunday that was accompanied by some nice beers. Clean place with attentive staff. However, £16.30 for a double Kraken and coke was ridiculous. Lovely staff who even said it was so overpriced. Genuinely shocked me.

This pub is one of the friendiest in the area it always also has music on three nights a week the music is very veriedbut almost always enjoyable I have enjoyed many nights at this pub in fact I've never had a bad night there. By
