Not a bad lil bar, we've visited a couple of times, one of the few places you can get inch's cider which is a favourite with us. We've eaten here before and it's good quality food, actually better than I was expecting but not quite the restaurant quality it's priced at. Good selection of drinks, priced similar to The Sunbeam and George Wallis, with the food, the outdoor area and sports on I can't help but think this place would be jam packed if they priced closer to Billy Wright or The Old Still. The outdoor area is really lovely, tucked away as it is the surrounding buildings dampen the traffic noise and the trees add shade and also help give the impression you're not in the middle of town. The plastic wicker chairs are really comfortable the whole area was clean and tidy, a really nice place to relax and sink a couple of cold ones after shopping before heading home.

The Prince Albert is a nice pub. There is a wide range of beers, lagers, and cider. Although there were three hand pumps on the bar, they no longer sell any hand pulled cask conditioned real ale. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, it is a nice cosy pub with a good outside seating area.

Was a mint place to go after a match before catching the train. Since the start of the season though it's come under new management who seem to not have a clue. Stood waiting ages to be served, there's about 5 people stood behind the bar but only 2 actually serving, new staff are rude, just not a good experience. Hope we won't but may have to find a new gaff for post-match drinks. We loved the Prince Albert before so management, please sort it out!

My twin brother Stephen and I had a great day out in Wolverhampton and the last pub we visited before hopping the Midland Metro back to Birmingham where we were enjoying a five day break was The Prince Albert Pub. This is a wonder looking pub ,set over three floors ,wonderful decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their vo beer garden. We were here on a Saturday late evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a beer each, we chose Birra Moretti beer ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was excellent, this delightful Italian beers is such a light and hoppy lager style beer, hints of caramel and a big hit of hops, very easy to drink and a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We both really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to here we had a great time. The Prince Albert Pub is easy to locate along Railway Street. Opening hours are ( covid 19 times ). Monday to Sunday, Midday till 10pm. A wonderful pub, if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.

We never asked for this he just did it to help us. Brilliant example of first class customer service and this pub is now privately run so not in a chain. My mother and I ordered food and it was reasonably priced, well-sized and delicious. The setting is also gorgeous, with trees hanging over the outdoor seating area which is ideal for a meal or a drink outside on a warm day. What really had us smiling though was the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. Not only were they happy to accommodate allergy requirements, they were happy to chat in general and were just really lovely. Great place, only downside is that there's not much range with the food but given that everything else about the place is ace, you most likely won't be fussed!

This is my review of Compton Care. Out of loving remembrance for my mum I'll be honest and respectful. Compton Care obviously excels at many things in regards to how well it functions, the quality of the building itself, the professionalism of most of the staff, the aesthetic and mostly calm environment, the beautiful architecture and landscaping, but there were some things that bothered me a little and I feel could be improved. Some of the good: • Hot drink facilities • Family can also order meals onsite • There are therapy dogs that visit patients, which is wonderful and interactive Why I removed two stars: • Transparency. The dying process can be complex and distressing, especially if you don't know what's happening or why certain medications are administered. You're not told what the side effects are. You're not told, unless you ask, what the signs of dying are so that you're prepared. I got most of my knowledge from Google and the two nurses who did take time to speak to us family members. My mum was admitted perfectly mentally sound and communicative, but due to her pain had to be on high levels of pain relief, ended up confused and distressed and then had to be sedated to combat that confusion. They call it terminal agitation. • Mixed messaging. One of the nurses refused to give my mum additional pain relief at my request, because she said my mum's knees would be up if she was in pain, but she was heavily sedated. My mum never moved once during her last week. She couldn't have moved her legs. All she could do was twitch her thumb (which she did once), facially wince, or do brief movements of her eyebrows. The same nurse also talked over my mum a few times and appeared to question whether my mum was really in pain, when my mum was still able to communicate. My mum was someone who barely took painkillers when she was healthy. She had Pancreatic Cancer. I can state quite emphatically: she was in pain. I still now (in 2024 - my mum passed away in November 2022 - highly dislike the nurse who added frustration and discomfort to my mum's last days. Her name began with an R. • My mum had a sore on her bum that caused a lot of discomfort for her and I feel could've been treated sooner. • After my mum's death (which I nearly missed by seconds) she had a sore on left ear, which both myself and it seems the staff hadn't noticed, and it must've been painful for her because she winced whenever her head was moved even a little (despite her heavy sedation). • Some staff are friendly and compassionate, but there were a couple whose manner could have been warmer. They would enter my mum's room and not even acknowledge family, let alone speak or introduce themselves to my mum. My mum valued manners and a friendly manner a great deal. She had worked in social care herself and was always kind and compassionate to the people she cared for. Just because someone is dying they don't stop being a person. They still exist. They still need to be acknowledged. • Some of the night staff are a little noisy (banging bins, laughing etc) but thankfully it didn't disturb my mum. Some more good: • The good staff who laugh with you, interact warmly with the patient and explain things to you • Therapy treatments are available for patients and family • You can bring your own pets • Doctors constantly reasses medication and pain relief and will answer direct questions • The food is good (although sometimes my mum asked for certain things and didn't get what she asked for, but this did improve later until she could no longer eat.) One of the catering staff (blonde hair in a ponytail) always went that extra mile and showed my mum so much compassion. • Receptionists are super friendly and welcoming • The Chaplain lady was very kind and compassionate also • The fact family can stay the night with loved ones Overall, Compton Care aided my beloved mum in her last days. It wasn't perfect and some things could be improved. However, my mum went as peacefully as is possible with a heinous disease like Pancreatic Cancer. She fought until her last breath.

Really pleased with this place. First time eating here, and definitely won't be the last. Good food, service, and surroundings. Give it a try. 2 hours free parking across the road on the retail park is handy.

All fresh food, nothing from frozen and decent veg choices and great hot gravy, served by polite, friendly staff. Even the Yorkshires were fresh and tasty. The only thing missing was the king of greens, broccoli 🥦. They even let me take away what I couldn't eat. Will definitely be returning again.
