Primrose Farm in Wigan

I love coming here with my wife, we come here weekly. The service is fantastic. The waitress Jade and Kara are very attentive and helpful. We recommend this place to friends and family.

First class service from Jade! My daughter dropped her slushie and jade came straight over, cleaned it all up without a fuss and brought her a replacement. Jade did it all With a huge smile on her face. We have been a few times and Jade always goes the extra mile! Fantastic work Jade! Your managers should be so proud!

Came with my brother, sister and son. Had a lovely lunch we all had a carvery which was very fresh. There was a quiz / bingo on which was fun to listen to and my son loved being able to walk around the play area. The staff were friendly we were served by Kara and Ollie who were lovely and helped when needed.

Olly was very welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Service with a smile 😁

Had an amazing dining experience today at Primrose farm. Our first time eating here and definitely won't be our last. Kelly (staff member) and the other staff near the children's area made us feel so very welcome. When dining with children with difficulties it can be very overwhelming, all 3 members of staff helped to keep a meltdown from occuring by providing him specific cutlery, bowls and plates. Also colouring sheets and crayons. I couldn't be anymore Thankful for our gorgeous food and outstanding service. Thank you very much x

To much fat on the meat, sloppy mash, no proper veg to hard and slimy, needs proper mash also needs cabbage not everyone likes broccoli or carrots, also Yorkshire pudding to crispy nothing in them at all sorry but I can't say anything nice about the food it really needs to change

Had the Sunday carvery here which is the best in Wigan. A selection of meats are on offer with a choice of veg and potatoes. The deserts are well proportioned so bring your appetite. This is a large clean and friendly pub and services was great especially from Chloe and Elise. Would definitely recommend a visit if your in the area.

absolutely smashing!!!!!! the guy named oliver behind the bar gave outstanding service and even filled my glass up to the rim. amber the waiter also gave me my food which was great too, no one’s ever done such a deed like it!!!! 100% will be coming back!!!! Had the veggie carvery great value for money. Lovely staff server in unfortunately cant remember her name but she had glasses. Really friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Also bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delish and cakes were STUNNING. Hope to be back again.

Popped into Primrose Farm, Lorraine was lovely, we had a nice chat about kids and she was lovely with our baby daughter. The food choice was really great and all for a great price! We definitely will visit again!

Saturday night meal with the grandchildren. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. Kids got Sundaes which they really enjoyed but should have got one between them. Staff are always friendly and can’t do enough for you especially the Manager Kelly; she can never do enough for you.

Decided to go to primrose farm on Saturday for a meal with partner , I chose chicken medley and my partner chose mixed grill , both meals were lovely , staff were friendly especially the manager , would definitely return

We came in today around 5.30pm and we was served by Kelly she was so happy and friendly. We was looking at the menu and Kelly recommended the chip shop meal which was very nice and tasty. We come here quite regularly and Kelly is always smiling and happy which makes us feel so comfortable when at Primrose. The food was so good and the cake away was delicious. We will definitely be back and hope to see Kelly when we're next in for food. Thank you Kelly 5 star service with a smile.

Nice enough basic meal but made really good by the attitude of a young lady (I think called Ammanagh) she was very approachable and professional when I had a slight issue with my meal . A great attitude and courteous , she is most definitely a credit to her job and this company/site

Party of six. Food average. Carvery was abysmal. Roast beef way overcooked and dry. Roast potatoes cold and dry, veg terrible and funny tasting, but gravy excellent. Nice friendly staff

Front of house service from Victoria was amazing she went above and beyond really chatty and helped with my group I would recommend this greene king farmhouse any day we traveled 1 hour to get here and would do again.

We went in the early afternoon during the week for the carvery and had large plates and I don't think I would go back. The meat was dry, there was limited options for vegetables, and the Yorkshire puddings were dry too. Service & location was nice but the food was disappointing.

Twice I've been and the kitchen had shut aleast an hour early. I did try and calling before heading down but no one answered the phone. I drove down to Lymmwood farm and they are still serving. They had no idea why you stopped earlier then advised.

Nice please this. Friendly, inviting atmosphere. We had a Sunday carvery which was very tasty. Only downside, our first and second choices of dessert had sold out, (3:30ish) so we ordered an alternative. We had to ask 3 times where our desserts were as no one brought them out to us. Started to get busy round 5ish. I would go again.

Came tonight with our kids and wast aware it was kids eat free! That was a nice suprise as we have 3 children so can be expensive. Food was out quick and tasted nice. Great service behind the bar and Georgia was really friendly

We booked for Sunday lunch and requested seating away from the children's areas/tables, sadly children were running around the pub but this is down to the parents and not the staff. The food is ok, it's filling and plenty of it and it's cheap. Service was great.

All round a decent experience for a peak Sunday tea time. Food was good both from the kitchen and plentiful from the carvery. Desserts were mainly sold out by 1730 though so either go earlier or try and order with your mains. Service was good, and food delivered quickly. Pleasant enough experience to go again at some point.

Half term deal for kids eat free was a bargain and Sharon was so friendly and helpful.

We love Primrose Farm. We come almost every week and the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Sharon and the management staff are always so kind. Thank you all for what you do.
