Prezzo Italian Restaurant Godalming in Waverley

We usually love this place, but had a terrible experience this time. The food didn’t have much flavour, the pizzas lacked cheese and the service was incredibly slow. After waiting for ages, we cancelled our desserts, paid and left. No apology was given. We were also keen to see the new menu as there had been a lot of hype about the relaunch, but it was exactly the same which was strange.

We’ve been coming here for years however the main manager has gone to Italy and you can really feel the difference in the food quality the staff and ambience. We had booked for a table of four the staff didn’t seem interested. We felt that they wanted to just get us out the door quickly as possible. The food was tasteless not as we’ve experienced in the past the prices have gone up yeah it was just an overall poor experience. . Prezzo Godalming is a great place to eat. The food is really excellent and the restaurant attracts a wide range of people: young, old, families, parties, couples etc. it has a great atmosphere

Lovely pizza/pasta, great service

Great to see the restaurant packed for the 99p main meal deal night. Food was fab service was fab and atmosphere fab.

Always enjoy a meal in Prezzo Godalming but the new additions to the menu have elevated the experience, especially the new desserts. Service is impeccable as always, fast, efficient and friendly.

Our 1 vegetarian in the group was served chicken in her fish dish !!! Sadly it ruined our 40th birthday celebrations

Mixed review for the food....spaghetti with prawns was bland and tasteless; seafood ravioli great; pepperoni pizza great; salmon pasta good; but tuscan pizza seemed to miss out the sausage and sauce. Given the cost of each item, the quality lacked and was disappointing. Been a customer for many years now, not inclined to return

Visited Easter Saturday early evening. Very good, hot food and quickly delivered. Didn't really understand why hey chose to seat our party of ten next to the toilet entrance when the restaurant was practically empty? Spoilt the atmosphere a bit but I didn't complain. Perhaps seating a group next to the toilets should be done for the last group arriving? Waitress was very attentive. She couldn't answer my question about whether lasagne was made with beef mince or pieces of beef. Not a problem but I would have expected her to go to a chef and find out. She didn't and I ordered something else instead. Discounts and gift card were accepted without questions or issues. A solid 4/5 experience 👍

Great pizzas, fast and friendly service, lovely evening out!

A great place for a team celebration at the end of the season. The Godalming Prezzo has a private room perfect for up to 15 people. We had a great night - food was excellent and really quick to arrive, staff were helpful and friendly. All the empty plates told their own story.

We enjoyed our visit to Godalming Prezzo. Food was delicious, cooked to our liking. Lester, Zana and team always ensure we receive exceptional service. Cosy, comfortable ambience. Spotlessly clean beautiful restaurant.

Ordered bruschetta , thought I would be getting bread with tomatoes not pizza , very oily, unable to cut even with pizza cutter? Cocktail limoncello bomb cocktail. Awful! Sooo disappointed !

i am extremely dissatisfied with the spagetti bolognaise i ordered. it had hardly any bolognaise and was essentially plain pasta in a bowl.

Sadly if using a voucher you get a very small menu with not many options

The food is incredible and can’t escape noticing this entire restaurant is literally gleaming. To an OCD standard pretty much absolutely incredible atmosphere and charm and quaintness. Very busy and it’s only mid week. So well kept a lot of charm perfect sort of location to propose even the passion for the job and food is evident and I’m working in hospitality myself it would be a dream to end up working here one day tucked down a more residential street you get the privacy vibes before you even step in the door.

Building is lovely and felt warm, inviting. The service was a bit on the slow side but they were pleasant enough. The food was nice but I wouldn't say it's particularly special. If you are looking for a lunch time treat then go for it.

I was part of a group of 19 that dinned here the evening before my sisters wedding. The staff were lovely and professional. The service was good and the food arrived quickly, despite the amount of people. Everyone enjoyed their food! Great vegetarian and vegan options.

My wife and recently ate here for her birthday and firstly, what a beautiful location. Interior decor is stylish and makes for a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. Lovely food, and special recognition to our waitress Keira. 1st class! Friendly and knowledgeable and she deserves a pay rise, & a bonus ! Lovely old fire station that has been converted to a restaurant. We went for a Sunday lunch and had very good service. The food was tasty.

In terms of child-friendliness, it was great. The staff is friendly and helpful—I can't thank them enough. The building has high ceilings, creating an open atmosphere while still offering privacy in each seating area. The food is tasty and value for the money. I especially enjoyed watching the chefs working on one side---it was creating a good ambience. I'll definitely be bringing my friends and kids here again. Thank you!

The building is great looking. it's an old fire station. Missing pudding, asked for it to be removed, and still wanted to charge 20% tip... Food is not worth the money topping on pizza was poor, portion sizes not worth the money.

Horribly slow service, nearly 3 hours for 3 courses - won’t be going back here any time soon.

Lovely location, but can be a challenge to hear yourself when in a group because of the acoustics. Staff although helpful, tended to ignore anything I said or ignored me when I tried to get their attention and felt this was because of my age and me sitting with others who were older.

Good food and reasonable value, especially with 25% off voucher.

Staring problems from the brunette waiter on £9 an hour she also seemed to find something funny 😂probably her uniform wasn’t washed and the smell made her nervous giggle 😂

My fianceé and I eat here regularly, service is generally quick and staff friendly. Food is always good. Building is interesting, being a converted garage, which gives an interesting interior. Only negative for me is that because dining area is very open and there's little in the way of soft furnishings noises tend to echo and it can become harder to hear other people at your table

Booked online via website. Then I received an email asking for my credit card details to secure the booking (this wasn’t mentioned when booking). The email also asked me to preselect our meals. Not much good for a surprise meal out. So I cancelled.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. The building is beautiful and decorated very tastefully. Clean restaurant. Well groomed staff and clean toilets. The wheelchair access is very good too. The only downfall was that we wasn’t given children’s menu’s until we asked for them and services was a little slow.

Lovely atmosphere/ambience with a great location near one of the main streets. Parking isn't directly next the restaurant but a parking lot is under 5 minutes walk away. A good menu selection with food for anyone with options for vegetarians and vegans available. Pasta and pizza dishes are superb, pizzas especially since they have a fire brick oven.

We went there on the 12th. Having been in catering couldn’t believe what they served as bolognaise the sauce was awful , couldn’t have been made by an Italian surely not. My wife’s food was good

Prezzo's Godalming is a frequent haunt for me both with the family and with friends. Ultimately it is what it is and is a solid and safe bet. I've rarely had a problem with the food and the service at Godalming is often better than I get at other Prezzo's.

I love this building - it is a stunning place with a lovely tall vaulted glass ceiling. The food is usual Prezzo selection of well made tasty pizza & pasta & the staff are attentive & friendly. Recommended.

Fui a cenar dos días seguidos. Buen restaurante italiano con muchas opciones vegetarianas o veganas. Entre los comensales había personas italianas que igualmente opinaron era muy bueno. Recomiendo: Olives, Garlic Bread, Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese, Aubergine Parmigiana with Burrata.

Great food, served by lovely waiting staff. Location is perfect and the setting inside is stunning. We'll worth a visit for a date night, family outing or even for the sake of it. 100% a gem of godalming.

Came in early on a Monday lunchtime and we were the only table but service and food were great. Quick and cooked well :)

a god-awful restaurant with staff to match, paid £7.50 for a glass of the most mediocre wine. the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there which wasn’t surprising as the music selection they had playing was more off putting than the food. it’s quite the task to compromise a good spag bol, nevertheless, the food was okay just audaciously overpriced. in no circumstance should demi lovato be playing in an italian restaurant

Always consistant, good service. The old building is lovely as well and makes a great feature. Pizzas here are great and as good as I have had in Italy.

Prezzo undoubtedly has the best setting of any restaurant in Godalming, the building used to be a fire station and it is a fantastic space. I’m a pizza man, I can’t deny it and Prezzo doesn’t quite match the other pizzerias in town. If Prezzo was a lady you would definitely take her out for a date based on looks, but sadly once you got talking you’d realise she’s not marriage material. That said, you might just see her again…

Pretty good, daughter enjoyed it, my pizza was great, Other Half's pasta mediocre. Really dirty chandeliers. Average coffee. Service was friendly and efficient, they let us take a couple of facemasks away with us as we had forgotten ours. Also the sever organised a good solution to a dessert that we wanted. Will be back, just a few minor things hence the 4 stars.

Went for the first time in about 15 years. Really nice pasta, although we ordered the same and my dish was more saucy. Going back in a couple weeks to try the pizzas as they looked amazing.
