Fantastic food and lovely staff

Good service and great food...everything on menu

I went here on Thursday 24/10/2024. I had a pepperoni pizza and garlic bread with a Coca Cola, which was delicious. I also had a chocolate cake for desert, (contains nuts), which was delicious. 🤤 The service was highly good. (Amazing).

Anna was brilliant! Very knowledgeable about the wine and dinning menu. food was fantastic. Will be back SOON

We don't always have the best Prezzo experiences but we came yesterday for early dinner with friends and kids and it was the best experience we've had with a group Inc small kids, the staff were so kind, friendly, attentive. The food was nice. Overall a great dinner.

Really nice atmosphere, myself and wife enjoyed, last night , food was nice only thing drink was expensive, was asked when booked what the occasion, it was our anniversary , so thought oh might get a little something on the house , as you asked but nothing never mind. lol, we would visit again 💯 % next month. All staff very very friendly.

Portions were tiny, staff weren't helpful. Didn't give me anywhere near enough sauce for my starters. Then they tried to charge me for more. Food was bland lacking seasoning. Paid £3 for extra chicken and got 5 tiny pieces. The tomato sauce on my child's pasta was by far the worst tomato sauce ever. It just tasted like the cheapest tinned tomatoes had been thrown in a pan with 2 small scraps of carrot in it. Not sure what the point of 2 small pieces of carrot was?? Couldn't of been for flavour, as it just tasted like tinned tomatoes. In summary it was a bad experience and definitely not worth the money. Used to be so much better, what has happened to you prezzo???

My husband and I took our niece and nephews here for a family lunch a few weeks ago and weren't super impressed. The service was especially lacking, our waitress seemed inconvenienced especially if we made a request ( my nephew wanted ice and lemon for his drink and we wanted a picture taken of us together.. nothing too complicated.) The food was mediocre at best, my husband and I had the same pasta dish and thought it was very dry and lacking flavour. Lastly, my niece ordered a icecream sundae and what she got was literally one scoop of icecream. Needless to say a scoop of icecream is NOT a sundae and to call it one is a flat out con. They even forgot the toppings initially and again seemed inconvenienced when we bought this up for correction. The entire meal cost us £90 which isn't exactly cheap for mediocre food and poor service. I suggest going to one of the many other local resturants if you're looking for a decent experience.

Lovely lunch with friends and some new items on the menu.

Food was lovely, and very tasty. Good portions too. Knocked a star off because the pizzas arrived luke warm (just heated a little in the oven back to temp) although the pasta was fresh and piping hot and one of the best we have had delivered. Delivery was later than expected but that being said we did order on Saturday night peak so not completely the restaurants fault.

It is a little expensive for what it is, but the food is good. Staff are polite and always on hand for drinks, sauces etc. Not the largest choice or variety, and to be honest nothing really jumps out at me when I look at the menu. Avoid if you're after a carnivore experience, but if you like posh pizza's then this is the place for you. Another visit for our 30th anniversary. Enjoyed it much more this time, food was excellent and choice seems to have improved. Cent find any real faults other than the prices. Expensive for what it is but it's still a pleasant experience.

There was a group of eleven of us, orders taken and food provided, quickly and efficiently. The food was hot and of a good standard. Wild done.

Prezzo is a place I know well. The food is always good and the service is excellent. It is especially good for lunch with friends.

Really great place. I went to check it out on my own to see if it’ll be a good venue for the GF. Going somewhere on your own always attracts eyeballs and dips in service. However, this place delivered excellent food and average service hence the 4 stars.

We had a great meal for our friends birthday, the Food was really good and we had a lovely evening. Millie our waitress was so helpful, nothing was to much trouble! Thank you Millie for your great service! We will be back : )

We went for lunch after my daughter had her braces removed. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and helped with offers and menus. We both had pasta, it was fresh and delicious, good sized portions and we weren't rushed to leave when we had finished. We had a taste card so it was buy one get one free on everything, and I saw another lady paying with tesco vouchers. It really was nice xx

Visited Chelmsford Prezzo for a last minute meal, Well I must say it’s the tastiest meal out I have had for a long time. We had pizza and the veggie mushroom calzone. The service from when we arrived until we left was 10/10 the staff were so friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back. Thank you to all the staff

Always love coming here with my wife and sometimes the wider family. What I like is that it’s the same staff for a long time, unlike many other restaurants which have a high staff turnover and they are friendly & efficient but also discreet. Food is lovely and as my wife is a Coeliac it’s good that they take extra care to avoid cross contamination. Highly recommended.

At least 30 minutes late and cold pizzas.

Me and my boyfriend came out for lunch on a quiet Tuesday. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was honestly the best one I’ve had. It was so delicious! Thank you to the chefs who were working! The service was really good too, thank you.

We always wanted to give this place a try. Tbh, we received good, attentative service. However, the food was mostly substandard for the prices charged. We tried the calamari, fried mozzarella, garlic bread, pizza, carbonara, and crab ravioli. We only enjoyed the garlic bread and pizza. The rest of the food was pretty bland, and for the prices, were a little poor. At £30 per adult for 2 courses, there are plenty of better options out there. Certainly will not be looking to go back given all the nice options we have locally.

Good wasn’t nice was cold and no cheese

My pizza delivery delayed by more than 30 mins, delivered very cold pizzas. Called restaurant and they did confirm driver took pizzas at right time. Please look into this.

Delivery ETA moved considerably from the original estimate when order placed. When good eventually arrived it was stone cold. Re-heated, ate half and threw the rest away. Disappointed.

At least 16 minutes late and hardly warm. Had to turn the oven on to warm it up. Very disappointed especially when you pay almost £40 for 2 pizza to eat at home.

Excellent meal, I had burger and chicken gluten free, both were very tasty and nice and hot. Nice helpful and friendly staff

I recently dined at this restaurant and was highly disappointed. The prices were steep, almost £20 per dish and was definitely not worth it. I ordered both mushroom risotto and spaghetti with king prawns. The risotto was incredibly salty to the point where it felt like I was eating pure salt. When I requested a replacement, they took our shared plates, mixed them together, added water, and reheated the same dish, which didn't improve the flavor at all. Not to be mentioned, the king prawns in the spaghetti were tiny and there were a few bugs flying around in the restaurant. I do not recommend this restauran…!

The restaurant was lovely no fault from them however your drivers didn’t show - the restaurant called us personally and explained everything the driver that came rude and basically threw me my order not good service on your behalf so I would strongly like a refund for this service both me and restaurant tried calling several times and nothing

Nice food, pleasant staff but WAY TOO NOISY. You can't hold a conversation very easily in there. It's like a noisy canteen

Food was cold took ages to even get delivered

Staff were slow but polite as expected, king prawn gnocchi came out as basically baby shrimps and the sea bass was soooo over cooked. Never again bring back the old traditional Prezzo!

Prezzo is a good option if you want food that will suit most, reasonably priced and with swift service. This Prezzo has great staff in particular, who were really helpful when my daughter had a unexpected seizure (she is ok) - would highly recommend.

Lovely and great location! Very busy and great service - however surprised we were the only ones dining al fresco on such a warm summer eve!

Stopped off for desert and coffee, I had the biscoff Cheesecake with banana, which was ok but a bit bland, which was disappointing. The cappuccino was an amazing surprise, though I would still recommend it.

Waitress miserable, turned lights out on us, locked the toilet doors. Biggest bugbear they only accept cards. NO CASH 🙄

Tried to ring Prezzo’s twice but got no answer. On third attempt got through to be told my order had been there for an hour and not collected. When I queried why this had not been noticed and asked for help in arranging collection they said I needed to take it up with just eat as the kitchen was now closed.

Midweek evening meal, relaxed, not overly crowded, air conditioned inside. Service was prompt, minimal wait between courses, table cleared quickly, check-back after main meal was served (additional drinks etc), food piping hot and fresh, draught beer served nicely chilled from clean lines. Prices on par with other style restaurants. Review based on restaurant of this caliber.

Very diapionted that there is no option to pay cash ,a cashless society does not suit everyone

Food simply OK. Service OK - same waiter was rude time before this when a group of us went. In no hurry to go back. Was only that we were meeting a friend from Chelmsford station & was convenient & we wanted to use Clubcard vchrs. Prezzo, Maldon was far better - since closed. Braintree Prezzo is now best option - always busy, lovely atmosphere, good food & attentive staff.

I called the restaurant and spoke with karolina. I informed her the food never got delivered. I left my number and a note where the property is so there is no excuse for this. Please issue me a refund as a matter of urgency.

Nice lunch, service was quick and the food was good. I like Prezzo, and was happy to see that this branch is staying open. We used their Lunch time offer, which includes two smaller dishes and a main. That worked out well. They always have an interesting variety of dishes and new things to try. This time I discovered Burrata cheese with lovely tomatoes and presto dressing. Service was good and laid-back. The kids menu is always interesting at Prezzo, with plenty to choose from. Plus the portion size is perfectly suitable for a 10/11 year old. You'll never stumble on this location. You need to leave the highstreet, go through the narrow tunnel into Bond Street, go past all the shops, round the flooded rivers edge with resident ducks, along the walkway and you'll finally find Prezzo. How can a prime water's edge restaurant feel so disconnected from the surroundings. Maybe it works in summer with the doors all open, but for 9 out of 12 months it lacks enough natural light and the outlook is poorly maintained. It has a river, waterside walkways so it could be very nice, but the bland and visionless developers gave up when it came to these prime socialising and amenity areas. The whole Bond Street development leaves me underwhelmed, they just got it wrong.

The carbonara was cook to just over Al dente and the sauce was lovely, the greens were cooked very well. All in all I enjoyed my food

Pizza must be nice, because the starter bread from a fireplace was great. The ravioli I had were good but very salty and overpriced was only 4 of them. My husband said his chicken breast was rubbery. Everything served hot and we received good service from the waitress who served us. The restaurant itself is shabby and needs a revamp. The middle row tables are too tightly squeezed in. Some waitresses could be more professional, not talk to each other all the time across the room or what looks like gossiping.

Maybe just a little too busy for the staff to deal with although they do their best, there are a couple of staff members that could do with a bit better service training

Food was tasty but nothing special. Our table was too close to the door so we were cold. But we enjoyed our evening, and they didn't rush us on which I really liked.

2 hrs Free parking nearby shopping precinct. Lunchtime meal . About 10 customers. 1 garlic bread 1 olives 1 Chicken and 1 Lasange 2 small beers £48. Card payment only. Could have cut bill with shared pizza. Meal Was OK. Need some incentive, maybe lunchtime offers, before we return.

Don't set your expectations high. The food at this place was pathetic. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza and a chicken burger. The chicken was overcooked, chewy and also tasted bitter. The pizza was hard and dry but was eatable unlike the burger.

A great meal - four of us without booking on a Sunday evening, made to feel very welcome by our waitress. Food was all brilliant, Dolche Pizza with N'duja was great, and the Ultimate Prezzo Cake, shared some starters including the prawn bisque, calamari and burrata. There was a small issue with the burrata, but it was rectified quickly and well handled. Would reccomend and return.

Family meal, amazing service and went the extra mile! Even let the kids make their own pizzas in kitchen!!! Kids loved it!!! Couldn’t ask for better service from waiting staff and the super friendly kitchen staff 🙌

Great food and a lovely place, staff were very nice.

The meal arrived with one of the main courses and the dessert missing. The bag was split when it arrived and I presume the items fell out during the delivery. Restaurant insist all the food left their restaurant. Although I received a refund, this is unacceptable service

Celebrated my Mum's milestone birthday at Prezzo. The staff were very accommodating and could not have been more friendly and helpful. We brought in our own birthday cake which they served with candles and a song! The food was lovely, everyone was very happy with their meal. Thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely memorable evening for my Mum. Highly recommended.

No chicken when I paid extra to add chicken, and tiny portion!

Unfortunately the app was not giving any updates and the food took 1 hr 45 mins to arrive at which point it was all cold.

Warning: the 'sharing' garlic bread has been dramatically reduced in size such that for the same £8 price you get an insultingly small bit of garlic bread that is barely enough for one person. Rest of the meal was good, but this is a very disappointing change.

Ordered the food at 17:18 and it’s only just arrived. The driver was assigned at around 17:45 ish and got the restaurant 45 minutes later.

Delicious food - I had pasta carbonara and the chicken was full of flavour, but it was the staff at Prezzo who stood out: very busy but still doing a great job with friendly & helpful attitude!

In the notes I did write not to add chilli and dish arrived with chilli on.

Asked and paid for Italian hard cheese and did not get it. Food was ok

Lovely position near the river and we had a window seat. The whole experience was so positive. A very happy, helpful waiter put us at ease straight away and explained the menu to us and that the payment method was by card only. Important to know. I went to Prezzo with a friend who I haven't seen for sometime and it was an excellent choice . The menu for lunch, although fairly limited, was good. We had starters and a main course with a jug of water and a glass of white wine each. I chose the lasagne as a main and I can honestly say I was the best I've had in a long time.☆ The waiter was very amiable and we had a pleasant chat with him and a new waitress who was on her first day. We opted for coffee to finish, rather than pudding. As this restaurant is within walking distance of my home I shall definitely be paying more visits and recommend it to my other friends. First class !
