Wonderful staff and great food!

Pre booked for NY Eve. Restaurant busy and very few staff. Our waiter was direct ( polite for almost rude!) My wife ordered a veggie dish...but meat dish served up...no apology... although was exchanged quickly. I ordered burger dish and chips..as we're my friends we're cold. Don't think prices charged were reflected in service or quality of food presented.

Very poor experience here for lunch. Food was pretty disappointing and waiter was unfriendly and seemed like he didn't want to be there at all. We ordered our main and dessert at the same time as we used the set menu. They took our plates away and literally brought our deserts out straight after, which I've never had before. We ended up having to ask for the deserts to be taken away as we couldn't even think about cake that soon after the main meal. Not that it was worth taking away. The 'best ever prezzo chocolate cake' was horrible. Food on the menu online is also not available in the restaurant. By the time we left, the restaurant was pretty much full and there were only two servers. Took us quite a while to get our bill.

Good food, good service. That review was 4 years ago and my wife and I have been eating here about 3 or 4 times a year since it opened. However today's visit was disappointing. My wife ordered the sea bass and there was only one small portion of the fish even though the price has increased considerably ( which i can understand in the present climate) In the past you used to get 2 pieces though. It was explained to us that they used to give 2 much smaller half pieces, which I'm sure is not the case. Also for dessert we ordered a new item on the menu which included chestnut ice cream and wafers. The wafers were like cardboard and stale and the ice cream was chocolate. After querying this one member of staff said the chocolate ice cream had chestnut in it and another person said they had run out of chestnut and substituted chocolate instead without advising us if this was OK. Not impressed.

Had a birthday celebration, with family, at Prezzo Hornchurch, as we have done for the last three years, and am feeling very disappointed. As we are a family of 13 we were always seated upstairs where we didn't feel that we were interrupting other diners and it is lovely and bright. This year, we were seated downstairs at the back of the restaurant, which was dark, dismal (no Christmas decorations at all), and on top of the disabled toilet. Some of our food, which had to be pre-ordered from a very limited set menu, arrived cold or tepid and had to be sent back to the kitchen. I think that as we were so far away from the front of the restaurant and the other diners, the staff forgot we were there. Sadly, I won't be back next year. Sorry.

Perfekt, Essen und Service super.

I've been dinning at prezzo hornchurch with my wife and I just can say Wowwww... They have been so friendly and looked after us all the way..they made us feel like family and that, you can't find everywhere..the food was delicious and cooked perfectly . All this paired with beautiful Italian wine was the cherry on top of the cake..Thanks to all the staff for our amazing evening,we will see you soon

Amazing food, I ordered a large pizza, the size of the pizza is incredible. Very friendly staff members and great atmosphere.

Food was excellent. The toilets are upstairs and they are steep. Staff are all friendly. There is a problem its card payment only.

The food here is horrible. I came to eat with friends and family and the staff was very rude. The staff was checking her phone while taking the order and when the food came in, it was blend and tasteless and most importantly the food was cold. Never come to eat here…

We had a really good experience here last night. We are 5 very old friends, and we were catching up after not seeing each other for a while. Vlad was very patient with us when we still hasn't ordered our food after half an hour. He was attentive and helpful throughout the evening. The food was good for all of us, and it was reasonably priced.

Delicious vegan food. Very, very fast service. Very kind and friendly waiters. Beautiful atmosphere.

We use to go here so much and the food is good most times but they have put their prices up so much and made the portions so small, that they don't fill you up at all. Would not go back, shame.

BAD service and poor food - avoid avoid avoid!! We visited today 25th August lunchtime only because we had some vouchers to use up, we wouldn’t go to Prezzo otherwise. The male waiter had zero customer service skills and no manners, he stood with his arms folded, he did not check on our table during the meal, he plonked the dishes down and went. Him and the female waitress disappeared out of sight for about 5 minutes so I had to get up and walk to the bar to find one of them. I asked him to bring over some Parmesan cheese for one of the pastas (which he did not offer), and I asked for some bread to mop up my WATERY risotto. Risotto should NOT be watery (see photo) appalling quality I would absolutely not pay for it with my own money. The manager bought some bread over for me. The man waiter didn’t say anything when bringing our bill, after the bill. The sooner Prezzo shuts down for good, the better. 👍🏼

When eating my main meal, i noticed something pink in the dinner. on further inspection i pulled out an acrylic nail.

Brunette lady possibly a manager was very rude, go home if you can't behave or find another job. Simple manners and respect would be nice. I was customer although no longer!

I’d like to start positively and give the 2 servers 10/10 for their hard work on the night and the manageress was extremely helpful in sorting out our bill. Also the food was lovely too so a thumbs up to the sometimes forgotten kitchen staff. However this restaurant was extremely understaffed. Our starters turned up an hour before we were seated and our mains over two hours. The poor staff were run off their feet! For that many covers a restaurant should have at least 4 staff not 2. Look into this prezzo!

A group of us had a meal together this week and we were very impressed with the service. It was very busy with only 2 staff serving. They did this efficiently and with good humour. The meal was good. I had sea bass. The drinks a bit expensive. For me the enjoyment of the evening was not just about the food but was also about the ambiance and service. We were very impressed and the 2 serving staff deserve recognition. Unfortunately we do not recall their names but the male staff member might have been called Niko or Diko. We eat a couple of times a year in Hornchurch so when we return we hope to experience the same quality of service

Local restaurant of ours. Really disappointed that it took over 1 hour for our main and 20 minutes for our bill. Our waiter advised us if we ordered our starter and main course separately, we could be waiting over an hour for our food. However, we waited over an hour for our food anyway. Hence, we had to spend more on drinks. But the most disappointing part was that after expressing our annoyance of delay in food (in a polite manner) there was not a single apology to the delay in over one hour for our main course. We saw multiple people receive their dos before us. An apology goes a long way, but we didn’t receive anyway. The Waiter just said if we complain it goes against him which we politely said that’s not our issue. Our evening was ruined as we had planned to meet friends but it was far too late by the time we left. Food was good, but real shame about the service and lack of ownership for the delay. Food is also not reasonably priced anymore so it isn’t worth visiting if you have a local Italian with good service. Really disappointing

Food is overpriced, for pre made ping food. My daughter has a nut Allergy and there wasn’t one desert on the menus that was safe for her to eat. The Allergy menus said may contain nuts on every item, disgusting . I have never experienced this anywhere, there is always a choice of a couple of deserts. Therefore we all abstained.

Good atmosphere and the free bottle of red wine made it even better! Interesting old building in the town centre

Had a great dinner experience here on a number of occasions. The food is always well cooked and is pretty reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Would recommend.

Haven't been to prezzo for years and wouldn't hurry back. Didn't like menu and felt like menu choice had been significantly reduced. Just ok.

I had a great burger meal with my family, we all enjoyed our food. Nice evening out mid week.

Was fine, no problems except it's a long way from home. Only went to this one because Prezzo closed all 3 near us!! We will not travel again to a Prezzo we always enjoyed being able to walk. We will find another Italian

Great, fantastic food but terrible customer service. I met with a friend today, 3 May 2023 for lunch at Prezzos Hornchurch. Upon arrival, I was urged by a woman sat on a bar stool with her friend and who I suspect had some kind of supervisory role at Prezzos, to go to my table but as I was waiting for a friend to join me, I insisted on staying in the waiting area - which clearly upset the bar stool woman! Anyway, my friend joined me shortly after and we sat at our allocated table. Now I know Prezzos are in trouble and many restaurants are closing due to the cost of living crisis so I can understand the pressure on them to sell extras and upsell the more expensive dishes. Consequently, we were over enthusiastically asked if we would like nibbles / olives beforehand to which we declined. We also had to ask for their set lunch menu as this was not even offered to us - only the more expensive main menu. As always, we really enjoyed the food we ordered and looked forward to a free desert for my birthday - courtesy of a Prezzo voucher. We showed the voucher to the waitress who by the way, seemed to be the only one on duty other than the two women on bar stools, so she was extremely busy and harassed trying to service all the tables. Our voucher code on the phone was acknowledged and the desert arrived okay - which was truly delicious. Upon requesting the bill, guess what? There was a charge for the "free" desert. Consequently, we then had a real problem with the angry waitress explaining about the voucher - which she denied ever seeing or acknowledging. As a result, the waitress was not happy as she went for a conversation with one of the barstool women about the charge. She then returned to our table, slapped down £7.50 in cash and scuttled angrily away. We have never had such poor customer service before at our favourite Prezzos. Please improve your customer service Prezzo as you can't afford to lose customers at a time when the business is under so much pressure. Maybe some customer-centric training would also benefit the waitress and bar stool women...

Great old venue.We came here for a dinner and didn’t disappoint.Food came out quickly and piping hot .Server fairly attentive but not intrusive. Great with 2for1 voucher .

Overpriced, under staffed, slow service and small portions.Venue itself is nice and staff work hard, but it’s not what it used to be unfortunately.

Friendly welcoming staff, great selection of food available. Sizeable portions and very decent prices. Overall tasty food and a great atmosphere for a date night or family/friends meal. A good small selection of drinks/cocktails as well!

Went on a Friday night at 19:15 restaurant was fairly busy but the service was appalling, Had to wait a good 10 minutes to get our drinks starters around 20 minutes and close to 45 minutes for two pizzas. The table just never got cleared...

The restaurant itself is very dark and also very tatty. It could do with an update. My aubergine parmigiana was burnt, and although the first waiter thought this was how the dish should be, I asked someone else and requested another one. It tasted OK. Would I go back? Absolutely not.

Really wanted to like this place as the decor is pretty good but the service is lacking. They were a little busy but accommodating, no beer on tap even though it was on the menu, ok that’s fine as it happens so soft drink. Tried to order food, regular and vegan option of the same meal, waitress had no idea about vegan options for same dish and kept assuming it was a vegetarian option instead, simply swap out regular meat with vegan options as menu states is possible, so sent over another member of waiting staff, who understood our request but then seemed angry and tried to leave before we’d ordered our sides. Then she returned asking if we wanted pancetta in the vegan meal or vegan pepperoni instead, slightly lacking in knowledge from the waiting staff and kitchen if they had to ask such a thing. Then the meal arrived, the bottom of the vegan meal was burnt, told the waitress and she agreed to money off rather than wait for a new meal to be prepared along with avoiding the hassle of trying to explain the meal again, headache was starting to appear. Time came for the bill, food was fine other than the small issues, money off, blue light card discount applied, but table next us had their mains somehow added to our bill, wasn’t impressed by this point and asked they fix the bill properly. Returned with correct amended bill, paid and left, probably won’t be returning after the shambles we endured, shame as it could’ve been a nice place to return to but the whole experience left a bad taste, pardon the pun

The staff were polite & friendly, the food was the the same usual quality from Prezzo's & the environment was also quite romantic & relaxed.

Lovely food, great service and good atmosphere

Food took ages to come out. Large pizza had hardly any cheese or toppings on it. The normal pizza had more toppings and cheese than the large one and looked ok. We felt ripped off as the large pizzas are considerably more and they are pretty much normal size pizzas stretched thinner. The price of a small Garlic bread with cheese is an absolute liberty the calamari was slightly overcooked could have done with 30 seconds less in the fryer. Pasta was fine but for the price other establishments in the locale are much better. Shame really as always like prezzo but probably won't go back after what we were served this evening. If you're charging over £18 for a large pizza for one person there needs to be toppings on there, cheese should cover at least 75% of the pizza I'd estimate that it was so thin and stingy that only 30% of the pizza had any cheese on it at all and it was hard and overcooked because so little of it was used.

Totally not worth it, it looks like they cutting costs at everything, pizza came so thin that I couldn't believe it my calzone had ingredients only in small portion of it the rest was just dough, deffo not worth the money AVOID

Good generic Italian food, well presented and excellent service.

Worst experience I ever had. It was quiet when we come. Waited for the starter for around 35min because the kitchen forgot about our order. Mains come after another 40 min. It's more than ridiculous. Not recommended come here. Ever.

It was nice to see the restaurant so busy.The staff were attentive even though they were very busy.The food was hot and tasty,but the drinks as usual were expensive. There were some girls mucking around in the bathroom and blocked one of the was,but staff attended to it straight away.

First time at this Prezzo in Hornchurch...excellent food and wonderful service had no issues. Me and the family had a great time and will definitely be coming back soon.

Świetna parmigiana z mozzarellą, pyszny sorbet truskawka z marakują. Cappuccino było okropne. Nie podawaj od tej kawy tym, co byli we Włoszech. Chyba macie zepsuty ekspres do kawy.

I booked this restaurant as it was requested by my guest and I confirmed it was a Birthday booking. I called Prezzo Hornchurch today to reconfirm the Birthday booking, yet nothing was done???? V disappointing. Don't book this place if you have a special occasion, as it won't be noted won't bother again...... :((

Fast and friendly service, great food. Went on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't too crowded and our food turned up fairly quickly. Even with so much choice for restaurants in Hornchurch, we'd certainly go here again.

The place was empty when we arrived, so lacked atmosphere, but did improve as the place filled up. Food and drink really good.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary today, we normally go to the lakeside one as that's closest to us but thought we would try out another one. The food was amazing!!! Every dish felt fresh and hot. Very tasty!! The staff were fantastic. I would definitely reccomend this Prezzo above the lakeside one and will definitely be returning!!!!

Excellent service, guy didn't write our order down, but got everything right! Bit pricey but its probably just the rise on the cost of living.

Me and my family waited 25 minutes just to get our drinks and it took an hour to just get the starters. Are the starters it took another 35 minutes to even get our dinner! We called over a staff member for a refill on...

Food is lovely, although did take a while to prepare (uber/just eat orders came first I believe) as there was only 1 other couple in the whole place, But the food was delicious, and staff were OK but I recommend they stop with the "hovering" and constant "how is ur meal" when I haven't even touched it, I know they have a protocol to follow but they just need to observe the patron before they approach.

Went to Prezzo Hornchurch for lunch first time since the lockdown, I order Sea Bass and was surprised the changes they had made, its one of the more expensive items on the menu , it used to be rested on salad and new potatoes ,...

Very disappointed with prezzo tonight went with two friends : I had a voucher for a free bottle of birthday Prosecco but wouldn’t let us use it as my friend was using her taste card account 😡then when we came to pay I was going to pay with my tesco credit card vouchers but NO can’t use them either as using a taste car 😡I’m not impressed , service was bad waitress forgot three things ,had to remind her , so won’t be going there again !!

Nice venue, however…. was booked out but empty. Burger bun was stale and patty was burnt. Partner was asked if she wanted Parmesan on her pasta. Didn’t get. Staff didn’t ask us whether our food was ok, probably because they knew what the answer would be.

A bit pricy 2 scoops of ice cream 4.90 but over all a very nice night out. Thank you

Poor service from the start, we waited over an hour for our first drink to come to the table. When we ordered food it took ages to come and the staff was rude throughout.

Good food and nice service but pity it was too noisy to hold any conversation, leave alone a decent conversation and too noisy to enjoy the food. They should look at reducing db levels.

I went to prezzo's to have a nice meal.it was fast service great chips,chicken and really good crispy fried mozzarella bites. I really recommend eating here for birthdays,gatherings and just with your families.

Quick and easy to order, decent food!

Ordered from here off uber eats. Had a spaghetti bolognese x 2 as we didn't want to cook. Dare I say a co-op microwave spaghetti bolognese is better. It turned up cold with little to No bolagnese. Was just like eatint cold spaghetti in a brown box. Zizzi although not great either is 1000% better for takeaways. Do not order a take away from here as there is no way to send it back.

Visited a couple of times now. The food is ok but the waiting staff are not always visible. Considering both visits have been early afternoon and midweek. My main bugbear with this restaurant is that, like so many now post pandemic, do not take cash!...

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Hornchurch, service was 10/10, we were served by Bibiana, she was very polite and friendly. I didn’t like my meatballs but that’s just because I’m fussy with meat, the food besides that was delicious! Will be back again :)

Nice food but bad service. Arrived at 6:30 and didn't get our mains until 8:30. Had to ask for a glass of water multiple times. Didnt ask if we wanted any drinks at all in the 3 hours we were there. Wouldn't go back. Another overpriced chain itallian restaurant. The quality of the food doesn't outweigh the poor service as it just makes the experience less enjoyable.
