Meal was average but expensive. Pizza arrived cold.not value for money

The food was awful. The sauce was watery and the chicken was rubbery. It arrived cold too. Prezzo food is usually very good but tonight it was disappointing. Not good enough when both dishes total nearly £40.

Food standard gone down . Wrong item produced first time and had to be changed. Poor that chips have to be ordered extra with a burger so it looks as if the price is cheaper. New menu poor.

My daughter’s starters came AFTER her main course. My calzone was under cooked and cold so had to be sent back. My son in laws spaghetti was overcooked so he couldn’t eat it. My husband’s spaghetti was undercooked. The prices shocked us when we got the bill. 3 adults only had soft drinks, 3 adults had 2 alcoholic drinks. 2 children had a kids meal. 2 starters 6 mains 5 desserts How on earth can this add up to £350???? Food has gone downhill but the prices have skyrocketed!!!! Never again!!

Had a great meal at Prezzo, all 3 pasta dishes were delicious and generously portioned, with great service from the staff.

We were absolutely disgusted at the extremely poor quantity of food in tiny pots of our sides!! The Caesar Salad was served in a small type sugar bowl, and only had two small crushed lettuce leaves with grated cheese on top, with absolutely nothing else!! The side chips were in the same tiny bowl type and consisted of ten French fries which was truly appalling!! This is the first time after numerous visits that we had such poor quality and quantity of food, and has left us with the feeling of not returning again. As the restaurant was absolutely rammed with people we could not get the attention of a server to complain. We are desperately unhappy with our meal experience and wish to claim a refund of our sides. Thank you in anticipation of a swift and positive reply.

Food was good apart from Salted Honeycomb Cheesecake has changed, and there seems to be no Honeycomb crunch anymore. When asked I was told the menu for this has changed.

We were charged for everything despite having vouchers 241 on drinks mains & desserts or starters.When asked why I was reimbursed for one the main meal but not the starters or drinks.

The Pizza was bland, cold and the meat was cheap and horrible

Pre booked .. Sunday Mother’s Day all staff were working their socks off & we’re all friendly, tables were cleaned thoroughly after customers had finished & left. The young lady who served us was attentive & pleasant . The man making the pizza type foods was working like a well oiled machine & I could see the food being prepared & all freshly cooked. Our food was tasty which was from the Mother’s Day menu. The loo’s are upstairs ( disabled downstairs) They were in need of some attention- clean. Didn’t like the fact you share ladies & men’s, and all use the same toilet cubicle. We enjoyed our afternoon and credit to the hard working staff of the day.

I visited Prezzo Upminster 11/3/25 for my birthday Lunch and it also being the first time I've visited this chain of restaurants aswell. Food was cooked to a high standard, service was brilliant and very friendly. We had the Prezzo Burger with Truffle fries! The burger is great quality and was grilled perfectly by the chef. I also had the choc fudge cake with ice cream which was delicious but not too rich that I couldnt finish it. Overall 5* experience and would definitely return and recommend. Thankyou Prezzo.

The food was great however the service was terrible. Upon arrival we waited 15 minutes before we had to ask for a drink and the waitresses were all quite frankly insane! They kept running and I mean literally sprinting up and down the restaurant which certainly did not add to the ambience of the evening. Everything felt so rushed and they got our food order wrong and my dad’s starter came out way before anyone else’s. The waitresses never once came over to check if our food was ok or if we wanted another drink and even at 8pm when the restaurant was much quieter, the waitresses were still sprinting up and down the restaurant to the point where they kept on hitting into chairs and there was literally no reason to sprint. Running to get someone’s food may take 10 seconds but doing a normal walk (which may take 30 seconds) is much more appropriate than attempting to break Usain Bolt’s 100m record in a prezzo!

Not a great dining experience, starters were ok but the mains were a let down. Lobster and crab ravioli were tasteless, the sauce was described as a lobster bisque but was just a bland smear of salty cream The carbonara was stodgy and again tasteless. The service was variable, our waitress was lovely but I don't think it's professional for staff to stand at the bar discussing their pension or to wander around saying come on customers, I want to go home! Expensive for sub par food and service. Won't be returning.

Arrived at 4.30pm for a pre-concert dinner. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty we had to wait 30 minutes before asking a waitress if she could take our food and drinks order. She told us she thought we'd already ordered, even though the menus were still all on the table and we had no drinks. The food was ok. But service was dreadful. We had to ask a passing waitress to order more drinks and desserts. And the waitress who brought the desserts stank of smoke. We then had to ask twice for a box to take home the leftover pizza, and after it never came we took the plate and pizza to the front desk as we needed to leave and were told to take the pizza back to the table and they would sort it. The waitress then refused to take our tastecard (even after saying earlier we had it, she said that the meals had been ordered from set menus...even though they were also on the a la carte menu). We showed her the menus but she still refused to accept the taste card...and after having received such awful service we just wanted to get out of there. In total we were there over 2 hours! Absolutely shocking service. And the waitresses couldn't have cared less. For a meal out this place was dreadful...never again!

Several dishes in our group were served with soggy vegetables, far too wet, soaking the jacket potatoe. Making the meal unappetising. The pizza I had was ok. But the pizza menu used to be more varied so disappointing. Will be looking for a new favourite Italian restaurant in future.

We visited last night for my birthday with friends . All the food was served quickly , was hot and tasted amazing . I love the fact we can see the Chef cooking the food . All the staff were welcoming and friendly . We certainly will be back

I'm rider courier and have deal with Prezzo each my God day, I like this restaurant most of all beacouse all the time when I'm stepping in the Prezzo and looking for customers happiness I feel proudly gorgeous sense for this staff, all staff smiling and serving so good, all customers are looked so satisfied, one of beasties restaurant in London

A birthday meal for our grandaughter was somewhat underwhelming. Lovely staff, lovely restaurant, good starters then went downhill. Two meals of the Saltimbocca chicken sage were totally bland and uninteresting. The two pieces of chicken were very dry, the roasted potato too was bland and certainly not roasted and crisp, it seemed like it was a hassleback potato microwaved. And as for buttery white wine sauce, barely a dribble in the bottom of the bowl. Children's dessert poor too. Will re-think going here again.

My starter was pizza twists. what turned up was plain Dough twists and nothing else. They certainly weren't anything like what pizza twists should be. These were tasteless and boring pieces of baked bread. Shan't be eating there again.

A lovely prezzo .. always polite service, very good quality food. Classy enough, but family friendly. Maybe too many children for a super romantic evening, but nice all the same.

Always good for a meet up with friends. They have good vegetarian and gluten free option.

Nice restaurant and good service, but I was very disappointed with the pizza served here. We ordered three types - pepperoni, Goats cheese and a vegetarian Aubergine and Burrata pizza. Pizza's lacked flavour and the vegetarian pizza was virtually cold. Perhaps we just picked an off night...

2nd time I ordered in Prezo and it’s deffo my fault I didn’t learn the 1st time. I ordered carbonara and that’s what I received. Can’t recommend

Came here with family to celebrate a birthday. Nice decor. Large seating area. Music was deafening not allowing for conversation. Two waitresses running about, serving the whole restaurant with food, as well as preparing drinks. Ridiculous staffing amount for the size of the restaurant. We were aware it wasn’t their fault, but we had a total let down of a meal. Management need to seriously look at the expectations they are putting on their staff and sort this issue out. Due to the reason stated, the service was snail paced. No drinks order taken for about 20 minutes and this was after multiple requests to staff. The food was tasty and hot and the chef did well. Again, the service throughout was appalling. We let it go but then saw that the waitress was preparing the tables obviously for the next day as the chef had gone home!!! Not good enough to have paying customers on site at the tables, without drinks/bills/service whilst you ignore them and do a job that can be done once they have left! Let’s just say we’d never return to this poorly run establishment.

Was a lovely quiet night, food was 10/10. Staff were polite and attentive. The actual place was clean and appealing. We had 2 starters, 3 mains, and 2 deserts and no drinks, came to £90 + tip. Very good, would definitely go again.

Five of us went to Prezzo in Upminster and were underwhelmed by the service and the food. Granted it was midweek, but the whole point of going to a restaurant to eat it to be catered for. The table and ambience were fine. The service - although friendly, it was sloppy. We were caught between the two. Our waitress worked hard but wasn’t well supported by the Team. Our food was poor at best. Our starters arrived at different times which mean’t that some people were eating cold food. The main courses were a combination of over cooked or undercooked. I had the ‘mushroom risotto’ for a main. I’m sure it wasn’t but it couldn’t have been dried/packet food. The consistency was ‘thin’ and it had been most certainly heated/reheated in a microwave. I appreciate all venues are under pressure to reduce costs but there is no excuse to poor food quality in a restaurant - especially when a customer is expected to pay for it.

A group of 4 of us visited for lunch on a weekday. It was quiet but cozy, and the waitress was nice. Food didn’t take long, and tasted good - we got a risotto, spaghetti, rigatoni and a vegan pizza. It all tasted good, however the food portions were frankly quite bad. The risotto especially was tiny, it was more like a starter than a main yet it cost over £17! We aren’t intending to come back, however we do love the Prezzos in Chelmsford.

Food was really nice. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow and very little staff (only 2 serving) The one lady that served us was offish and didn't smile once. Shame as otherwise would of been brilliant.

Nothing special, food came up in good time but it was lukewarm and my other half had to send her one back. The chef cooked another one from scratch. Having to listen to screaming kids does not make for a relaxing time. For the price it has not got anything to make it any different from the competition and we won't be going back anytime soon. Parking on road available but not enough spaces and free after 18.30

Took ages for a starter even though I was the only one dining. The base was impossible to cut, dough undercooked made worse by overloaded freezing cold tomatoes! Nothing positive to report!

We went for early Sunday lunch (9/7/23) and everything was great! Given a nice booth to sit in, drinks order taken quickly considering the young waitress was really busy. Wine n beer both perfect. Shared a starter and both had pasta mains and then shared a dessert. All was well presented and tasted lovely. We were delighted as sometimes Prezzo can be a bit disappointing but not this time. Well done to the chef and our lovely waitress. We will be back!

I had a vegan Spaghetti Bolognese which was covered in hard chopped up bits of rosemary! This was bizarre, as all I could taste was the rosemary which I had to try to take off and couldn't chew. Rosemary should not have been used in this way. I am not sure what the chef was thinking. Some basil would have been nice (which is part of a Bolognese sauce), as I believe it was quite bland on its own.

Prezzo in Upminster is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is great. And they are great for people with allergies, gluten free pizzas are really nice.

I've been here a few times and had either bad food or bad service. I have got food poisoning the last time I went to this restaurant, and our orders were mixed up and wrong. My family and I will not be returning again as the service hasn't improved and the food made me ill

We visited PREZZO in Upminster today and for £105 we were very disappointed! Dry chicken burger, bland bolognese and bland carbonara, really not worth the money next time will will go to wimpy or McDonald’s. Not the first time we have had bad food here so lesson learnt and we won’t be returning

Food was really good. Waiter was very patient with my fussy daughter in law and spoilt grand daughter. Very comfortable clean friendly. Food arrived nice and hot.

First time eating in upminster prezzo and was slightly dissapointed. The service was generally good, food came quick however I ordered a cesar salad and the garlic bread had no garlic spread and was slightly burned (you could taste the burn) the poached egg was actually a hard boiled egg and my partners pumpkin raviolli was not bad but it wasnt anything special either. A cheff should be able to tell the difference between a hard boil egg and a poached egg which is my main concern.

Okay, the first choice (Beef in Chianti) was not available (no apology). I was told the alternative was a beef burger. There was nothing similar, so I opted for the Crab and Lobster Ravioli. In terms of the dish, it was a little light, especially given the price - something between a starter and main. The taste, well it was pretty numb: there was no identifiable taste of crab or lobster. I wasn't expecting Sheekies standard of food for the price, but it was still disappointing. That said the staff were pleasant. I tried my partner's Cabonara. That was tastier, but still didn't hit the mark to be honest - if it wasn't for the seasoning in the meat it would also be a little lacking in flavour. Moving on to the desert (needed to fill the gap of the light dinner), I opted for the Chocolate and Cherry Sundae. Hmmm. No cherries at all in the desert. I questioned this and was told cherries were in there. I searched. No cherries. Then the manager came up and said Chef did not say, but that dessert was off, so we got just chocolate ice-cream and spray cream. Overall - I would give it three stars. The food is not really up to scratch for the price, although the atmosphere is relaxed and there is some ambience to the decor. I think a major chain like Prezzo should be doing better.

After using Prezzo here for many years and usually always very good it was very disappointing on Sunday. The restaurant was empty which surprised me especially this time of year admittedly football was on but was very odd. The place was so cold I had to ask for the heating to go on. The food was disappointing this time I had Calamari as no cheese for starters available Calamari was not something I would normally order. My chicken burger was only luke warm. My husband and daughter had the gnocchi and prawns they said very bland. The gorgonzola pizza my daughter had the garlic butter on top had not melted and the ham was just thrown on top 2 pieces ! The child's pizza was extremely small. Desserts were okay but no ice cream or cream offered. When your paying full prices this time of year i definitely expect better! To top it all I had severe diarhea all day Monday and was fine whilst out on the Sunday. We never said anything at the time even tipping but to be honest I won't be using Upminster prezzo again which is a shame as was our local totally put us off !

I've been here several times, the latest being a Christmas dinner with friends. Staff are friendly and professional and the decor is great. My favourite dish is the seabass. Seabass is excellent in most restaurants but it's exceptional here. Very tasty indeed. The desserts are also superb, as are the pizzas. I like everything about this place except the parking. Parking is an absolute nightmare. If you're lucky you'll get a space right outside but usually we have to drive around for half an hour looking for a space. Much easier to go by taxi.

Ordered from the Christmas meal deal, two courses £22, had beef chianti which read very nice,,did not look great when arrived and did not taste great,then the special chocolate desert with fresh raspberries, no fresh raspberries and more of a tasteless very cold brownie, we did try a latte each, sent two back that were cold,replacement lattes were just as bad, so we had them taken off the bill, food was not worth paying for.The restaurant was empty, we was told the snow had put people off,more like quality of food.We would not go back again.

Worse experience ever ! I will never come back here again after been treated so poor and unprofessional. Came in at 8:30 to get a table , staff at the restaurant had no idea if they were open or not , felt like they did not care at all if I have to be honest. The place was absolutely empty- if you want to close it early you can just say it in polite way and you don’t need to be rude !

Enjoyed it very much, lovely air conditioned, good friendly service, nice dining area outside at the back too, food was delicious. (Would be 5 star but don't accept cash only card payment) . Overall, lovely.

We were a group of four, and upon arrival it was pretty self evident all was not right. Upon arrival we were told in no uncertain terms by the rather rude young member of staff that due to 'cleaning and set up issues' we would not be allowed to sit in a booth, so we was shown to a table. Ok we thought, let's not make a big deal. After a bit of a wait our order was finally taken from a very sweet waitress (the one good thing about our visit). One of our party needed to use the loo, only to find that the loos were closed due to an issue with the plumbing. So instead had to use the disabled loo, which was in a disgusting state with water on the floor and loo roll just thrown over the place. My friend made a point of reporting this to a staff member, and was just brushed aside with some excuse or other. When our food turned up, the Carbonara was tepid, the Prawns were chewy and the salad looked like it had seen better days. Never had food like it before at Prezzo. Whist we were eating we could see that the water leak problem had escalated with water now dripping through the ceiling into the restaurant with staff running around with buckets (and whatever receptacle they could lay their hands on). All whilst people were trying to eat. It was like Fawly Towers. When we finally finished eating, and after being told that the restaurant was to be closed (but not to feel we had to rush) we decided to sit outside and finish our drinks and have some coffee. A different waitress came out to take our order (two Irish Coffees and two Expressos). When the drinks turned up the Irish Coffees were simply Lattes with a shot to whiskey in a shot glass. We queried it, and was told nobody knew how to make an Irish Coffee, and that what we had been given would have to suffice. The waitress also moaned that she had been told to come into work late in the afternoon, she had a hours journey and that she would soon have to go home, making comng to work really not worth her time (slight over share). As we was leaving a young man came out to take our glasses, where we were told it was a f@@@@@g joke, and that he had a bad leg (the exaggerated limp gave that away). All in all an utter shambles, a complete lack of any leadership or management, a complete waste of money, although entertaining none the less (for all the wrong reasons). We won't be back.

Normally we have good food but last night wasn’t good at all, starters Lukewarm & mains very basic no effort made at all husband had hardly any sauce with pasta & 3 small cubes of chicken that was it dry and over cooked, I had lasagna but that was all I was served no garlic bread nothing & wasn’t asked either, when we complained about the pasta & hardly any chicken we was given free deserts & to me that tells a story that they knew the food was coming out poor standard, shame because we normally have good food in this restaurant don’t know if there is a new chef or something but given other reviews something has changed recently.

We love Prezzos but have never been to this branch before. There was a long wait for everything! Got seated straight away, starters were over cooked, mains were cold because we could see them sat there and had to wait for ages for plates to be cleared. Although the bill came quickly, I had to track down a member of staff to actually pay. The restaurant was dead for a saturday night so didnt see the reason for such poor service. Wont be returning

Visited Prezzo in Upminster on Friday evening and had an awful experience. When we arrived at the restaurant we were left standing in the restaurant for 5 minutes waiting to be seated. We got offered a table right by the door, we agreed and the waitress said she’d get someone to clean it. 5 minutes passed and the table had been cleaned (although it had no cutlery or glasses on the table) yet no one had seated us yet. We decided to seat ourselves and continued to wait another 10 minutes before getting menus from a waitress. We ordered our food fine. However, we had to wait 40 minutes just for our starters to arrive. We asked the waitress how much longer we would have to wait and she said she wasn’t sure and that the chefs were very busy. She continued to try and make us feel bad by saying “we understand you’ve had to wait but there are other customers waiting too”. After speaking to the manager she said she was very sorry for the wait and that she believed there was a lot of miscommunication happening between the waitresses and the chefs. When our starters arrived they were cold, however we didn’t send them back as we thought we would have to wait a further 40 minutes. The manager said she would try to get out main courses out quicker than the starters. Which they did, 15 minutes after our starters arrived, our main courses arrived. It was again, cold, but still delicious nonetheless. After we had eaten our meal the manager apologized again for the inconvenience and took 20% off of the meal. We appreciated it but its very unlikely we will return any time soon.

First waitress was helpful and friendly. Second waiter wasn't.. Slow service. No real healthy options... They had no prawns... Iceland is only a few doors away!!?? The desert and drink offer is no longer available. Not sure if I want to return.

Really disappointing evening last night, inattentive slow service, main courses took an hour and when served the order was incorrect and not particularly well cooked….depressing experience all round. Give this one a miss!

Late delivery, cold food, soggy chips - poor quality overall

Ordered two chicken burgers and fries. All items were freezing cold. The chicken was dry and one of the burgers was missing the salad. Looked like it had been slapped together in a rush and then just left on the side. Very disappointing.
