Prezzo in Edinburgh, City of

Visited Prezzo due brief visit in Edinburgh. It looked really great on the photos so decided to give it a go. We turned up in restaurant on time and waited 5 minutes to be welcomed as front of the house keep disappearing to sort someone else out. We have been seated at the small table, when having booth booked online. The atmosphere overall was really loud and we just felt ignored, on the couple of occasions we had to stand up and go to the bar to ask for service such as drinks. The only good experience during our visit was food. Really delicious and well made. We’re disappointed with our visit and hoped to have better time.

Servicio excelente - - personal amable y servicial, tan impresionados que fuimos a comer dos veces de nuestra estancia de 3 noches en Edimburgo, No demasiado ocupado y todas las precauciones de COVID implementadas y cumplidas.

3 de nosotros fuimos a cenar. Los 3 entrantes fueron excelentes. El menú fijo es bueno por el precio. ¡De jueves a domingo definitivamente parecía la mejor opción! Nuestros platos principales eran todos muy sabrosos, bien preparados y de buena calidad. Servicio perfecto de nuestra camarera. ¡El risotto de salmón y langostinos era tan bueno! Me dijeron que las albóndigas también eran excelentes. Mucho mejor que la otra cadena italiana más arriba. ¡Definitivamente regresaría!

Disfrutamos de una cena reciente en Prezzo en Edimburgo, optando por el menú fijo: la comida era buena (ya un precio razonable) y el restaurante estaba muy limpio y siguiendo bien las pautas de COVID. Un poco corto de personal y tuvimos que esperar de 15 a 20 minutos para nuestra factura, pero no es un gran problema. Sin duda volvería.

Fácil de reservar en línea. Instrucciones y medidas muy claras de Covid. Buena comida, buen precio y excelente servicio. Inodoros limpios, sistema unidireccional despejado, mesas separadas. Estaba un poco ocupado donde nos sentamos en la entrada cuando entraban grupos grandes, y un poco ruidoso al lado de la cocina, pero agradable de ver. Tenía la opción de ordenar a través del escaneo del teléfono, pero la camarera tomó el pedido antes de que nos diéramos cuenta. Encantador para comer en paz sin la habitual música genérica fuerte que interrumpe las conversaciones. Volvería felizmente.

We visited Prezzo during our stay in Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful and we both had the cabonara which was absolutely fantastic! COVID-19 measures were well communicated. I’d come again. Thank you ❗️

Six of us on a family visit to Edinburgh during lockdown and we all had a great time! Staff very friendly even with face masks and attentive. Loved the view to the city over North Bridge even though it’s being renovated. Between us we tried most options on the menu and it was all perfect. Red and white wine slipped down nicely too! Loved how clean and fresh everything was but I guess this will have to become the norm these days... We’ll certainly be back on our next visit up north to Bonnie Scotland!!

Went in for dinner over the weekend and had such a great experience with our waiter Pavel. So friendly and helpful!

We turned up with a buy a gift e voucher at prezzo in Edinburgh. The staff asked for a code and told us we needed to download a code for us to eat even though the e voucher was was there to see and the code was on it so we spent the first 20 minutes trying to get a code on the buy a gift web sight when the code was there all along. Then the starters came and my poor sister was stressed from the whole code thing and they’d ordered her the wrong starter which really was not a good move. We smiled and tried to get on with eating our meal but the whole experience for us was awful.

The location is really pretty, the staff very friendly & mindful & the food was very good!! We‘ll come back for sure.

The weather was awful so I wanted somewhere very near to the hotel I was staying at and Prezzo was about two doors down the road. It was fairly noisy but there were a lot of people in so that was understandable. However, when it is busy the repetitive beat of the "music" is not needed'. A gentleman at the adjacent table moved his seat to get away from it as he couldn't hear the rest of his guests speak. Service was quick and professional. The salmon and king prawn risotto I ordered was hot, creamy and with plenty of prawns. The house white (served as a spritzer) was a good match for the dish and I had no complaints. The following night I went to another adjacent "pizza place" - it was disappointing and I wish I had gone back to Prezzo!

I’m a regular in Prezzo. The staff are great and go out of there way to make sure you are well Tented to. I have noticed allot of the prezzo staff (friends) are leaving. Due to the new management (GM) the atmosphere has completely changed. The staff now are being degraded infront off customers. I found this absolutely shocking especially when small children where watching and obviously stressed. One couple left half way through there meal as couldn’t stay any longer all customers where shaking there heads in disbelief. Prezzo north bridge you are letting yourself down by staff turnover and changes happening to often. I feel sorry for the staff they are all lovely. I am now going to take my custom elsewhere due to these reasons.

When we arrived we were shown to a good table & a high was arranged for us, the restaurant was not too busy, but there did seem to be a shortage of staff & we had to wait a while, when the food was ordered it was made to a good standard quite quickly.

This restaurant is a must when in Edinburgh. Great food.. Super friendly staff and great service. Will def return when in Edinburgh again. Great offers run throughout the year abut even without these offers it's worth a visit

Visited here with friends on a Friday night. Plenty of choice on the menu, food was good but the service from staff was lacking.

The welcome as we walked through the door was warm and friendly and the menu is varied with dishes to suit all tastes.

Lovely Vegan pizza and pasta, it was reassuring to be served by a fellow vegan 😊 Mushroom pizza and aubergine pasta. Yum.

Enjoyed our meal at this Prezzo. It’s got a great central location for Old Town, Princes Street, attractions, or transport links.

Booked here to use Tesco club card vouchers which made for a cheap night! We booked a table which we were so glad as it was very busy even early in the evening at 5pm!

I made a reservation at this restaurant for date night. My husband and I have a monthly night out and we like the chain of prezzo. First impressions they had our booking, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman and we swiftly shown our seat. Thursday teatime in Edinburgh not to busy, that was fab. We sat down at our seats and by jezzzz it was cold, my husband proceeded to take his jacket off and was sitting chittering, I mentioned to our waitress who asked if we would like to move seats to.....wait for it.....beside a smallish fan air blower heater thing! Erm no thank you, I don't want to eat my meal whilst diving to catch the hot air so we politely declined and said we would leave, as we were departing a man said to me "I'm very sorry you feel that way madam" which really annoyed me to be honest as what's to be expected we should bring our tartan blanket?? Then another chap (staff) shouted as we were about walking out the door that the heating is not working. I probably wouldn't have left a bad review if they had said that in the first place or perhaps if the heating isn't working close until it is. It's a big enough open space exposed on the north bridge ofcourse its going to be cold with no heating!! Very disappointing and not good for business Prezzo, shame on you!!!

Went as a couple for dinner. Had already made a booking and used our voucher. We were a few minutes late and upon entering the restaurant the waited checked his watch! Cheeky! Was shown to a table in between 2 other tables so I was sat where the seat cushion met so was uncomfortable. Asked to be moved no problem but the table was wobbly so we and the waitress tried to sort that problem out. What we had was nice and the food was hot but from mains to deserts took a while. Wouldn't rush back as staff not that friendly.

Sono stata da Prezzo più volte con amici, il personale davvero cordiale e il servizio veloce. Cibo molto buono e decisamente italiano a prezzi contenuti, comodissima anche la posizione super centrale. Assolutamente consigliato!

Pleasant meals BUT the tables on the uneven floor were a real pain to sort out, so we used a few of the Xmas menus to sort this! Good service and good foor. The foreign waitress struggled with the use of Tesco vouchers. The usual pretty high alcohol costs.

Although I could not get a table by telephoning I then went on line and was successful. We have been many times before and the service was still good despite it being Christmas markets and Edinburgh being very busy. Food was good also and would recommend it.

Fab menu with great variety, Good atmosphere Waiters very attentive. Seating comfortable. Reasonably priced. Pizzas cooked in large oven in front of you. Calzone pizza was very tasty. .drinks menu reasonably priced.

Partner and I ate here this afternoon. An hour later crippled with pain & severely bloated, something not right with Hygeine there, spent our first night in Edinburgh stuck in as dare not venture from the loo after four trips so far. Other half had a different dish and struggling with wind and some god awful smells. Avoid!!!

Mid week meal ( Tuesday night), due to school carol concert being held nearby. Initially we asked the waiter for the 2 course meal for £9.95, ( as per the website, ), which is advertised both on the website and menu as available all day Monday to Friday. We were told it finished at 5pm..... no T & Cs indicating this, but disappointing as not in line with Trading Standards adverts. Despite this, our meal was nice, food good and serverd timely. Just watch the small print, as clearly the rules don't apply.......

Great place to have something to eat. Not too expensive & waitress with lovely. Food itself was really good. Would go back again.

I visited this restaurant for a meal with my husband and my mum and dad for my birthday and was not disappointed. I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant and it looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations up. The food really was delicious and the service really was superb considering it was a very busy night in December. Our waiter was called George and he was fabulous, a very attentive waiter who went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely meal for my birthday. The best service I’ve received in a restaurant in a while! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We dined here last night and found the food was marvellous. I would easily give them 5 stars for service and the quality of the food. We loved it. The hostess for us was Emma who is lovely and very attentive. As an idea of how good it is there where not many vacant tables at all.

Two different main courses of risottos were really tasty - delicious: prawn and salmon one was most generously filled with prawns. The salted caramel cheesecake likewise delicious.

We dinned here for dinner on September 10, 2019. We had starters, mains, desert and drinks. We were seated promptly and then ignored by our waiter for 15 or so minutes. The place was very busy so maybe there was a mix up between the wait staff. Once he arrived our waiter was friendly and efficient. The menu has a lot of choices with plenty of options for vegetarians. The food was well presented, of average portion size and was pretty tasty. The tiarmisu was outstanding. All in all a solid experience.

After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit nervous to book. However we had no complaints at al, either about our food or our service. Nice venue, very centrally located. Would recommend!

Very good pasta and risotto. We asked a spagghetti with king prawns and a salmon and prawns risotto. Salted caramel and chocolate tart is divine!

Me and my husband waited for our food about 40-50min. We ordered roast salmon and chips on side. I should mention than we arrived to restaurant it was just one couple at time in restaurant. Our order was taken quickly, but we had to wait very long and people who came after us got their food first. Waiter looked like he can be bothered and looked like he did not care. So after long waiting we received our food, but we got just salmon, for our sides, which we ordered together with meal we had to wait another 10min. Really disappointed, would not be coming back to this restaurant.

Had lunch here with my hubby today, beautiful decor, relaxed atmosphere and professional, efficient staff.

Would recomend this place! Really good service (quick, even though it was on a Saturday) and reasonably priced. Had the spagetti bolognese and the garlic bread on the side, would come here again.

Both my partner and me had the Garlic Mushroom 'vegan' pizza. Mine was uncooked, I had a raw hard mushroom on the top of the pizza, it was also cold when it arrived and although it is supposed to be a garlic pizza, WITH garlic oil it was so dry. Why bother trying to cater for a vegan customer if you aren't even going to add vegan cheese and just provide uncooked bread with uncooked vegetables. We were continually ignored by the waitress who I had to leave my seat 3 times for just to get her to come over. Appreciated the pizza being taken off the bill by the manager who was very friendly, but the overall experience was so unenjoyable it barely made a difference. I had the aubergine pasta as an alternative which was the most bland, tastless and boring pasta I've ever eaten. Was literally tomato and aubergine, it was honestly laughable for £11. I am astounded Prezzo have the audacity to claim to have a vegan menu and price their 'vegan' food items at the price they have. Overall the experience was a disaster and I definitely have no inclination to return to this restaurant again.

SOUTH BRIDGE, Pausa veloce mentre si gira in centro.

We popped in on an evening after a long day visiting Edinburgh! We were waiting over an hour and a half for a basic starter and pasta dishes with two young children. The food was average along with drinks. Waiters did seem to be busy, we sat for quite a while with no drinks and no waiter asked if we would like to order more. Also saw kitchen staff eating on two occasions over customers food and the kitchen staff also more interested in chatting than cooking!!

Great atmosphere, delicious food, good service. Definitely coming back! And recommend everyone to try. Thank you :)

Great food, great service, very clean. We had booked a table but were hungry an hour before, they took us in early.

Booked a table for 5pm. Friendly greeting. Initially quiet but got busier during our stay but the staff dealt brilliantly with customers demonstrating a good sense of humour whilst remaining efficient. We chose one of the “deals”, three courses and a glass of wine. Decent choice. Excellent quality. Great service. Highly recommended.

Service and food were below expectations. Waiter got order wrong, food took forever to appear when it did it wasn't well cooked. Disappointing all round.

George did a great job looking after us on our daughter's 21st birthday. There was a slight delay with some of the main meals coming out - so some of us were eating and some were still waiting but we were a large party of 20. Other than that, service was efficient and friendly and it was a great atmosphere. George looked after us all night, brought the cake out with plates, napkins and cutlery and continued to work after his official finishing time.

Restaurante italiano entre la New y la Old Town. Lugar de paso donde se puede disfrutar de platos de la cocina italiana. Amplio aunque no siempre encuentras mesa. Comida a base de pizza o pasta aparte de otros platos y precio acorde a la calidad. Buen servicio en especial de la camarera que nos atendió que pese haber viajado por medio mundo era italiana y muy agradable y profesional

We visited here recently and the staff were wonderful. They were quite busy but the gentleman who showed us to our table was happy to accommodate me in the table of my choice, which was by the window. Our male waiter was utterly charming and when my husband requested a gap between courses, that is what we got. To be honest, food wise, not the best Prezzo, the pizza bites could have done with a little longer in the oven but the staff are the real asset here. We had a very enjoyable evening and when again, in Edinburgh would visit again.

This restaurant is just of the Royal Mile on North Bridge St. Modern open design with a good selection of Italian style food. Pasta and pizzas were very good. Good wine selection. Good spot for a meal after visiting the castle. Service was very good considering how busy the restaurant was. Recommended if you like Italian food.

Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Our waitress, Lara, was amazing! So friendly and efficient. She made us feel relaxed and special even though she was crazy busy.

Great staff who were on top of their brief and friendly. Decor not bad, good vibe. Fiorentina better than average: egg not burned or desicated. That's difficult to achieve normally so that's quite a good sign.

I had a meal deal here a few years ago and the food wasn't great and voted with my feet. Only came back as my friend had vouchers. For a Sunday night it was half empty and the ovens weren't working which happens till we realised less than half menu available. My meatball starter was rock hard and waiter kindly got me a fresh one and said he'd take it off bill. Turns out he meant only the first one I wouldn't of paid for anyway. They also forgot part of a pudding. Only writing this hoping they pull their socks up if they want to keep up with the competition!

Terrible serving, food wasn't good at all. Can not recomment to anyone. The manager is extremly unfriednly

upon entering the staff seemed rude and also took their time taking our order. They forgot my food and, as they still had it on the bill, I told them I would not pay for it, but unfortunately the very incompetent „manager“ (whose temper was completely inappropriat for someone working in a restaurant) got sulky, kept interupting me very obnoxiously and told me to leave immediately. The rest of the group - who got something to eat - rated it as no more than mediocre. Very underwhelming.

Nuestro camarero fue grosero, impertinente y desatendido, apresurándonos a pesar de que el restaurante estaba casi vacío y eran alrededor de las 7 pm. Por lo general, no me quejo, pero sentí que debería hacerlo cuando lo vi tratar a otras mesas de la misma manera. Entrati per caso al ristorante PREZZO di Edimburgo, e piuttosto scettici sul mangiare italiano all'estero, ci siamo dovuti ricrederci grazie soprattutto ai consigli della Manager italiana Lara chi, con professionalità e dedizione sa accogliere i cliente. I piatti suggeriti sono saporiti e rispettano, nel possibile, gli standard della preparazione del cibo italiano. Sapendo che poi, il giorno dopo continuavamo il nostro viaggio verso Glasgow ci ha presentato Matteo, Manager del ristorante della stessa catena e dopo la nostra esperienza positiva precedente, abbiamo mangiato e bevuto la buona pasta e risotto abbinati ai buoni vini. Servizio eccellente e prezzi competitivi. Lo consiglio vivamente!!

For an average high street pizzeria they have to rely on one off trade from the fringe festival, as the customer service is minimal. Obviously the head waiter is used to being challenged in his Glasgow branch as he was immediately defensive when I asked for the specials menu as advertised on their website.

Restaurant italien vraiment pas terrible niveau plats. Nous avons pris pâtes carbonara et penne arrabiata. Les carbonara baignaient dans l huile, il y avait beaucoup de gras dans la pancetta. Les penne arrabiata n avaient pas beaucoup de goût.

Yesterday myself and my friend took our two babies for lunch. We were so surprised at how lovely, kind and very helpful the staff were. They couldn’t do enough for you.We never expected the restaurant to be as ‘baby friendly’ as it was!

Good quality overall, I used a voucher but I can say that the dishes are expensive (but worth it) the staff are nice and it's a confortable place to eat alone or with your family.

Iv been to prezzo for a dinner with friends. On a Monday night. The food was fantastic. I would recommend the Salmon fillet. I am in hospitality myself more on floor staff needed. It was terrible with the lack off staff on the floor. Prezzo could b my favourite place to go. Not anymore as we did not receive the experience we expected due to not enough staff on the floor. I feel so sorry for the only 2 waiters working like donkeys. This is why I have rated 2 stars.

The staff is very polite and the vibe in there is very relaxing and comfortable, however the food is just terrible. The pizza is dry,the garlic bread is not a garlic bread, it is a pizza dough with hardly tasteful garlic. The spaghetti bolognese is just bad. The sauce is just disgusting and the meat tastes weird. In my opinion canned sauce tastes better than this.

So my and my son visited for a late lunch before heading to dynamic earth although service was so slow that we only managed to make the last hour. Ordered a gluten free pizza when it came it was the wrong pizza and hardly edible it was so hard. Waitress argued with me that there wasn’t a pepperoni and chicken pizza on the menu and I had definitely ordered goats cheese and black olive. When my replacement pizza finally got served result this time it came with a pizza cutter and was much better cooked. I had to check every time if it was gluten free the waitress didn’t look confident it was either... My sons pudding got served and when asked where mines was got told I didn’t order a dessert.... finally got my dessert served it was lovely but ate it in a rush. When the bill came it was wrong and we had been overcharged for drinks we had to wait another 10 mins for this to be resolved. Definitely wouldn’t return

We have eaten here a number of times over the years and always found it dependable but the most recent was extremely poor. To start with I saw one of the waiters being rude to a solo diner. She still ate there but his attitude towards her was poor.

We had a 'large' pizza which was quite small, dry (I didn't that was possible for a pizza) and cold. Of a pizza, it only had the name. There is a lot of pizzeria on that street, I can't say they are good but I can say for sure this one isn't.

Had dinner here before getting a 7pm train to London. It was a “BuyAGift” I’d got for Christmas and although the buy-a-gift menu is quite limited, it still had dishes on there we like and the food was delicious so it made up for the lack of choice and the dessert deserves a mention of its own HONEYCOMB SMASH CHEESECAKE absolutely amazing and my daughter wants to go back just for dessert

Came here with a friend for dinner last night for a quick catch-up. We had just received our food when we were told they had miscalculated the space for a big family booking next to us and that we were going to have to move to the next table along. Although this was no bother, the waiters were very apologetic about the whole ordeal. The food was fantastic, the penne arrabbiata was one of the best I've had and the ice cream for dessert was nice as well. Once our bill arrived we were told they had given us the desserts on the house as an apology for us having to move! This was a lovely touch and we really appreciated it. I was so impressed with the way they dealt with everything and I will most definitely be returning in the future.

I don’t like giving poor reviews, but my visit here did not have enough positives to make me give a higher rating.

First time we’ve eaten here. Staff ( Lara) was so nice. Talked me into a aperol spritz which was lovely. Starters were quick in arriving and tasted great. Mains were delicous and hot and presented very nicely. Will def be returning and will recommend to friends too

Stopped here for dinner dining solo, and although they were fully booked they squeezed me in as I didn’t have a reservation. I didn’t get her name, but the greeter and server with the short blonde hair was fantastic, very welcoming and extremely efficient... best service I have had in a long time, she was brilliant. I had the chicken with mushroom Marsala sauce which was delicious, and a great glass of wine too... a great dinner, thank you!

The staff here are great, the food was also very nice and they are part of gourmet society which made it very good value for money. The prawn risotto was delicious but I would have liked more of it, the blue cheese pasta was great and the kids loved their meals.

Great menu and great service. The breaded mozzarella was amazing with the tomatoe sauce and our waiter (so sorry, can’t remember his name!) was really great. Definitely recommend

I love Italian food and this restaurant has amazing flare for creating wonderful and delicious Italian dishes. We went to this restaurant twice and we were never disappointed. The food is fairly priced and the service is great.

A friend and I recently visited for an early evening meal. As an Edinburgh resident, I'd eaten here at least three times in the past - albeit about 3 years ago - and had always been impressed by both food and service.

Booked a table for this evening ... Completely marred by a table of eight young kids and their mums out for a meal. Although I fully appreciate children are welcome I suggest there should be a sectioned off area for large numbers, especially in the evening. The noise and manners were truly awful. Apart from that the restaurant was so cold ... We were at the window which didn't help.... Mentioned to the waiter who felt the convectors .. Shrugged .. And said the heating isn't on!!! It was cold and wet outside and even colder in Prezzo. The toilets were warmer! Certainly it pleasant sipping cold wine and beer.

Came for dinner and we were seated and served quickly. The waiter was at attentive but not "hovering". Our meal came hot and tasty so no complaints. Bonus that they take tastecard so the meal was great value as well. We will definitely come again

Music far too loud if eating out with family. We gave up trying to talk. We waited a long time for food also but the waitress worked very hard as it was busy. Food was delicious though. My son said it was the best pizza he had ever had.

Great service - we were lucky to be served by an amazing member of the waiting staff. She took great care of us for the whole time on site. We also picked a great table overlooking The Balmoral Hotel.

We booked this restaurant last minute as our other restaurant fell through but prezzo had no issues fitting us in which was nice. We arrived early due to our hotel being closer than we thought ha! But they seated us in two mins, asked what wine we wanted and then food within 10 mins so great timing. Food came out propertly nothing taking too long or too soon. Our waiter for the night G hiongle (sorry if misspelled) he was great throughout and was working very hard that night so gave him a deserved tip. Overall would definitely go back.

Went here during the easter break trip to Edinburgh. Nice ambiance, good food and great service from our waiter Gheorghe. Recommed this restaurant for families with children.

Dreadful place, rude unsmiling staff who seem to have trouble understanding English - I have standard English accent. Didn’t seem to understand I wanted mushrooms on my pizza or that a side order of chips was in fact quite acceptable.

We were recently in Edinburgh and stopped by this location of Prezzo, Our server was Barbara and she was fabulous. We truly had a magnificent experience.

Came here with my friend for dinner a few weeks ago. We are both students and were really impressed by the value for money. The staff were all really friendly, particularly Giorgio who served us. I had the meat calzone which was amazing. Thanks!

Great food, well presented with big portions and served by an Italian girl who was fabulous... lemoncello is a must. Great view over the city is a big plus.
