I have been waiting for an hour to get my food delivered and the look of it make me sick 🤢 plus it was cold! The fries I think they where form 2 days ago and the baked potato disgusting!will never return to this place!

The ambience of Papa Jaffer's leaves a lot to be desired but man they make a fine falafel wrap! I have had it a few times now, and it's never disappointed me; it's probably one of the best in town... and beyond! Lovely soft thin bread, perfectly spiced falafel, plenty of vegetables for a bit of a fresh crunch, and a divine garlic sauce that binds everything together. I also always add chilli sauce, and it's really not that hot - but still tasty. At £9 for a regular wrap, it's not exactly cheap, but it is massive. I usually have leftovers for the following day. The staff seem friendly enough - our interactions only go as far as picking the ingredients for the wrap. Another positive of Papa Jaffer's is the opening hours. I have found it open when all other takeaways had been closed for at least an hour.

Great food at a fair price and there open late too. They will happily cater to your specific needs too. I personally love a thin and crispy pizza & they made it happen no worries. Everything served with a smile too. You just can't beat leith and it's people.

Ordered out Xmas Dinner 2 Donner Kebabs 2 Portions of Chips Portion of Mild Sauce. They took 90 minutes to Deliver and it wasn't even Edible. The Meat was like Crispy Bacon, Chips Cold & the whole Meal just thrown into a polystyrene box given it a shake & hey presto you get a pathetic looking excuse for a meal. They also never added the Portion of sauce. Don't go anywhere near this Eatery(if you can call it that?) When I Rang to Order the Manager told me my Card had been Declined, I should have taken that as a sign because my Card had no reason to be Declined, he lied. The Manager served Me & tried to blame Me for their woeful excuse of a Dinner £16.50. for 2 Xmas Dinners going straight in the Bin!!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I’d give it a minus score if I could. DO NOT EAT HERE. The food standards are atrocious. Don’t even know how they are still open. My chicken burger was GREY in colour. Can you confirm why this was the case? Place was so dirty - flies - raw meat. List is endless. Very expensive also, disgusting. Guidos across the street is great! I’d recommend going there. Looking forward to the owners reply.

En primer lugar, el calzone de cordero era absolutamente increíble el mejor que he tenido en 20 años fácilmente, probé otros lugares, pero sé dónde tan bueno como esta comida para llevar - lejos, la gran porción de patatas fritas eran muy agradables y crujientes cómo deberían ser las patatas fritas y no empapado o calentamiento de esas patatas estaban frescas y crujientes, la ensalada era agradable y fresco también. Realmente no puedo fallar esta toma - lejos de ninguna manera, desde el momento en que se pide nuestro té hasta la entrega fue simplemente un servicio brillante en todo, incluso hasta el servicio de entrega, . This Turkish kebab takeaway is absolutely amazing, everything was amazing bursting with all the flavours and was lovely & juicy, completely fresh, the 12inch Lamb calzone & chips were perfection 👌, if your looking for a awesome kebab / calzone come to this takeaway you definitely won't be disappointed,youll be back for more.ive tried many different takeaways, but this takeaway get more than 5 stars from me IF i could've I'd have scored them 10+ stars. Popped in here 16th Aug for some lunch whilst working locally. Staff friendly and polite 5* Ordering food nice and easy 5* Paying by card 5* no problems Food ordered - cheeseburger and chips can of juice. Food itself outstanding bursting with flavour chips cooked nice aswell not burned or over cooked nice and tasty. Would I return? Yes nice meal £9 for the meal little pricey but worth it!

I have been ordering for a while now, last delivery I received was not what I ordered, and this has happened a few times. First time tonight going into order takeaway, not difficult, a garlic and pepperoni pizza with onions - shock - no onions, I don't understand when you give simple instructions that it can't be met, and it wasn't busy 🤔

Went in for a kebab and salad. Guy who served me put a very small bit of lettuce on and 2 halves of tomato I asked for more. So got another 4 bits of Tom. Cost £8.00. Got home no tats to meat and the sauce had no spice al all not going back

Food bang average,they got 2 orders wrong and 2 ignorant members of staff ,in future when wanting a kebab will go back to best kebab where you get friendly staff quality food and I've never had a wrong order

Ordered the burger meal deal (2 burgers, 2 chips, 2 cans of juice) Was given one burger and chips then eventually rectified and given 2. Asked for ketchup on one and mayo on the other, one order was given both sauces. Food was absolutely atrocious. Burger was dry, chewy and absolutely no taste. The chips were clearly reheated. Portion was small. Don't waste your time or money eating from here. Once and never ever again!! Rip off. £11.90 wasted!!

Asked for a large hoagie, and got a donner wrap, not a sign of a chip or a bit cheese anywhere? Very poor!

This was, by far, the worst takeout I've had. The burger was literally just bread, undercooked low quality meat, and barely any cheese. No sallad or dressing or anything. Pizza was the saddest looking pizza ever. Kebab was undercooked. Delivery took long. Subpar in every way possible.

So disappointing. Order never arrived. Waited 4 hours. Driver who called me was rude and could not understand directions. Told me he would call back and never did. Never got order. They lied to Deliveroo on why the order wasn’t delivered so I never got my money back. Said they didn’t have my number when I have evidence we had multiple calls with the business all evening. So so sad! If you want a smooth experience, do not choose Papa Jaffers. I ended up ordering from Dersim Kebab and had a great experience!

Bit scared of the meat, its always burnt and seems like its really old 😭 If that wasn't the case I'd give 4 stars, 5 on good days. Always a lovely flavour on the kebabs, just the meat texture bothers me :(

Good place brilliant owner but the young lad for me doesn't have a clue what's he's doing and just puts stuff in your chips and doesn't ask u much wat u want on them. The place just hires anyone canny even get to my address or even make a an attempt then try and make us wait another hour bloody joke

The food is reputable and that's Great. Some of the customers are a bit rude and they'd expect free food which is a non-starter but with great customer service; anyone can lighten up . I enjoy their lamp dishes the most, I'll be sure to try their Donner meat at some point.

Ordered Mozzarella bites, jalapeño bites and a margarita pizza through Deliveroo. Order took over an hour to be delivered and all the bites had no filling inside; just hollow shells of blandness

Got delivery last nite guy comes to the door.the boy that brought it was a cheeky buggar okay there might have been a few coppers but. He will never come.to my door again with a joint. In his mouth was swearing and complaining about the stairs when we have a lift. How does he expect a tip with that attitude. Shan't be getting a delivery again I'll walk round rather than deal with that idiot of av delivery driver.

Be ware. Not all their food is halal. I ordered ordinary donner kabab but I didn't like its taste. I think it was needing more salt and spices. The salad was terrible. Had unreasonable amounts of salt. The garlic sauce was good but wasn't that tasty and was a very small tub

Had a doner wrap and the homemade wraps are amazing, the lamb doners are also tasty. Would recommend place, very nice staff and very efficient didn't need to wait long and food fresh.

Although the food was delicious as always, we were met by a very rude delivery driver. My partner and I ordered through Uber eats, and the app was showing that the order isn't out for delivery yet. The phone rang 20 minutes before the expected time (which is actually great, that the food came early) and my partner went to grab it immediately (no more than a minute delay) and he was met by the delivery guy who was rude and told him that he should go faster because he is busy. We were expecting the order, but as it arrived early we couldn't teleport to the door. Seems very unprofessional to me. Food was great nonetheless.

Really great food - the bread for the kababs are home made, the fillings are fresh and delicious. The wraps are huuuuge. I got a large once and it took me like 3 sittings to eat it. Great pizzas too with loads of toppings available. Very quick service, and the people who work there are super friendly and generous. Will keep returning!

sorry to say this is my last kebab from them I complained before about large donners being to small and again a paying for a large which was not even a small ....cold and tasted awful had to throw it away and for £9 it's just not on ...considering this type of meat costs pennies to make ...such a shame they used to be very good now it's just terrible.

First time I ordered the doner kebab and margarita pizza was really good. Second and third time I’ve ordered the doner kebab was burnt and non edible although pizza was okay. Sorry won’t be ordering again.
