Pret a Manger in Edinburgh, City of

This store has gotten much better recently, stock levels seem significantly improved, but like a few sandwich places nearby it's still best to go early, before 12.30pm, to avoid disappointment.

Greg was rude yelling at the customers in morning unnecessarily. Why no idea but spoiling every customers morning, mood and first coffee!! And I have observed this several times... and this brings me to a conclusion not to renew my membership and switch my daily coffee shop On the other hand the lady was sweet. Please keep friendly and smiling staff in morning at least

Food quality is so great. Avocado and eggs mayonnaise sandwich is really fresh and rich. Staffa all are very friendly.

Great friendly staff. Delicious chai. Just wish the place was a little bigger as it feels awkward having to stand next to people eating when waiting for a drink.

I AM not sure if this is the one I mostly went to (I went to a couple locations during my week in Edinburgh) but this is a WONDERFUL chain! Most mornings I had a latte and a triple berry croissant and they were both inexpensive and something to look forward to I would get a wholesome, homemade sandwich, chips and a healthy drink for either lunch or dinner and always enjoyed the choices I made. The staff was friendly and on my last day I left all the change I had left for employees! Great place!!

Como todos los Pret, es muy buena opción para comer a buen precio. Gran variedad de bocadillos, tanto fríos como calientes, y posibilidad de tomar sopa/crema. Tienen buena variedad de bocadillos vegetarianos/veganos.

I go here all the time. Today I waited 5 mins for a latte, all the while 3 people with more complicated drinks than me got there's 1st and I have to ask about mine to which the Barist knew nothing about. My over view Pret need to make a better system, 1 Barist to the 3 till running ques at the door yet order after order after order. Be more helpful to your colleague making the coffee and Pret your pandemic system is broken now look into changing back to NORMAL!

Best pret in Edinburgh, dare I say Scotland. Very friendly staff.

I was there today getting a bottle of water and a package of crisps the staff are very helpful indeed, i might go bk to this place in the future and have something to eat

It’s exactly what you expect from Pret - will be exactly the same as every other one, which is no bad thing! Staff all friendly, including the manager. Only negatives is the lack of toilets and the small shop space doesn’t allow for a fuller selection (noticeable vs Hanover St store)

È una catena di ristorazione con caffetteria e diverse pietanze pre confezionate abbastanza buone per pranzi o cene al volo. Si trovano panini, insalate e zuppe. Ci sono diversi posti a sedere. Nota di merito importantissima da quando viaggiamo con nostra figlia: ci sono sia seggioloni che, ben più raro, il fasciatoio!

Los panes, tortas, y demás acompañantes del café son buenos, también hay otras bebidas PERO el café no es muy bueno.

For our 3 weeks in Scotland This was our go to for healthy food and great coffee at affordable prices. Love their fresh and healthy food, frothy soy lattes and the cleanliness of each restaurant. A true travelers treasure.

Great food & drinks. Love this small Pret on Castle Street for its friendly cosy atmosphere. Limited seating but somehow it's also ideal layout if you have a pram 😊

The highlight was Licija, the manager. This lady went beyond her customer service duties. I asked her if there were any vegan croissants, not only she responded in a friendly and polite manner, but she took a handbook with a list of all the ingredients and allergen included in menu, she showed me which ones were vegan and after taking a chocolate cookie she positively surprised me saying "it's on the house because is the first time you try it". I had a vegan falafel and beetroot salad and a vegan avocado and olive sandwich as well. All very tasty.

Decent value food, but very average coffee. Service us very good and the staff are very quick to clean and clear tables. Not sure why there aren't more independent places in the town centre, they probably can't afford the sky high rates I suppose.

Pret was a place I avoided but no more as they now have delicious gf options. Today I tried the Caesar and Smashed Avocado. It was delicious. Well done Pret

Was a wet day and dropped for a warm coffee. The inside was warm and had good selection. Tried their americano and filtered coffee. The americano not bad for a hot coffee on a wet day .

Standard Pret outlet. Staff friendly enough and normal level of good service.

I mean, just go here. It's cheap, it's good, it's healthy, it's for everyone (vegetarian and vegan welcome ). Staff is happy and kind. The only problem I can think of is that it's hard to find a free table (you can take your order to go !) A wrap is about 4.5£

Issues managing their stock of Vegetarian wraps on a busy Saturday late morning, especially their signature Avocado and Herb. This branch is not dependable for Vegetarian wraps as they don't have their items ready on time.

This is a pretty stands Pret branch. A little smaller than the standard branch, but no shortage of options for food or drinks, usual friendly Pret service. This branch is just off the main shopping street of Princes Street and can get quite busy and sharing a table with strangers is probable. Got a sandwich and Matcha Latte, very good and no complainst.

We found this Pret to offer a range of fruits, yoghurts, muffins, croissants, as well as hot and cold sandwiches. Vegetarian meals are clearly marked and packaged separately. One pays extra if you choose to sit down for your meal. The food is pricey and we found the coffee to be of a very poor quality. Service was good and the space was clean. There were however no toilets available which was quite shocking for a sit down restaurant.

Visited this place for a break from shopping and a rest for my wife. Place was clean and airy. Staff were ok but not smartly dressed.

Good shop, clean and modern. Tasty fresh sandwiches. (If you want coffee it's good to know filter costs only 99p). Salads and soup while not cheap are very good, extremely interesting / tasty.

Mi familia y yo estuvimos en necesidad de comida, o al menos yo. Mi esposa y mi hija no teníamos hambre y estaban más interesados en un bocadillo, pero quería una comida más sustancial, pero también algo saludable, ya que a veces es difícil comer razonablemente en vacaciones. Luego vimos pret a Manger y todo el mundo podía conseguir lo que querían.

The best food and very healthy.

Just did not enjoy here. Taught the cashier had a face like a wet fish. The place had very little choice. Maybe they were busy before we came and all sold out. Overpriced sambo. Sorry. Just not my cup of tea. Won't be back

Popped in to get out of the snow and feeling peckish. Had a lovely egg and sausage with French butter roll hot fresh and tasty with a delicious latte! Asked a member of staff a question couldn't do enough to help. Clean, swift service, nice staff who I felt care and enjoyed a lot! All ready to face the snow again..... only in Scotland in March (supposedly Spring!)

really lovely creamy porridge and always great service and the food choices are great for lunch and breakfast and open on sunday unlike other stores which is so handy.

Pretty average to be honest. Quality of the food is good, selection is poor and price is too high. Do yourself a favour and go to an independent cafe.

Sei a dieta? Sei semplicemente fuori tempo massimo per trovare un ristorante che ti serva cibo di qualità a un prezzo affrontarle? Presto detto: quando sei in UK le opzioni sono le catene di fast/junk food (dal peggio al meno peggio KFC, generici fish&chips, McDonald/Burger Kong) o i pub. Se proprio scegli il pub, di solito la miglior opzione (healthy) in Scozia è l'haggis (grassi pochi, originale e gustoso, carboidrati complessi e un po'di proteine) e poi l'hamburger, che però è una bomba calorica e di grassi. Oppure c'è Pret a Manger. Se vent'anni fa era un'opzione posh molto cara per quanto buona, oggi ci spendi poco più di quanto spenderesti per un mcmenu mangiando cibo di qualità introvabile in qualunque dei posti sovradimenzionati. E la verdura sa di verdura. È non ci sono zuccheri semplici aggiunti ovunque come fossero il segreto del sapore. Insomma, non aggiungo foto né commenti specifici su questo Pret a Manger, ma: se come me sei italiano, ma pure se non lo sei ma b) quando mangi ti piace sapere che stai per mangiare qualcosa di sano, pret è sempre un'opzione da considerare. Un'ultima nota: anche chi lo frequenta in termini di classe sociale e BMI da una discreta idea di cosa chi suo apertura di mangiare. E lo dice un fan della pizza e della pasta, purché di qualità :)

Visited here for a late breakfast & there was't much left on the shelves so we had limited choice.I had a toastie which was pretty bland.

Cuando el hambre y conseguir algo rápidamente, no comprometer la calidad. Las opciones son informados y básicamente saludable, fresca y un buen café; con un servicio rápido, lo que es una gran ventaja. Central en Castle Street si va de compras, visitar el centro o transportar a otra parte. Además de toda la fruta fresca al pop en su bolsillo para un aperitivo.

Very affordable prices and high quality food. they dont mind if you stick around for a while with your food or coffee as might be the case for some of the travellers taking the nearby coach. the standard across is same as you'd expect but the stuffing in Tuna sub was lesser than usual. Would recommend for quick snack and nice warm coffee

Best healthy option on the way!

We stopped here first thing in the morning to load up on coffee, tea, croissants and snacks to help us make it through our shopping day. Everything is organic, and/or all natural-it is my choice for tasty, healthy fast food on the go.

This place is quite cosy, and in the center of the town. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, whether you want a hot or a cold meal. They also serve many different drinks that can be made with non-dairy milk. The soups are really good. The prices are not high at all, I think. I would recommend this place, and I will certainly come back.

As a tourist I was so impressed with the service. I asked the lady behind the counter early this morning for directions to get to Edinburgh castle. After my purchase she walked me out of the shop to the street and showed me where to walk. So impressed! No one ever takes the time these days to make such a lasting impression. Thanks for making my day!

Discovered Pret’s porridge and I’m now a fan. Makes a great change from breads and let’s me kid myself I’m eating healthily.

Visitamos a mediados de la semana para el desayuno. Pedí un café con leche y bacon y tengo que admitir que sabía mejor que ellos. Algunos de los rollos que elegí no comer parecía demasiado cocido. Tuve que pedir a un servidor si lo que había en el roll de queso o huevo.

Plats conformes au concept Prêt à manger. Plats élaborés avec de très bons produits, soupes delicieuses, sandwich variés et originaux.Aucune mauvaise surprise pour un prix somme toutes raisonnable par rapport aux restaurants de.une grande ville.

Fuimos allí para comer por desgracia no había ningún sitio donde sentarse, había un montón de mesas para 4 con una persona y me senté en ellos más había acabado de comer. Finalmente pide no participar en un mesa con otras personas. El lugar estaba muy limpio y la comida era excelente.

Habíamos salido a explorar Edimburgo y no nos había dado tiempo a desayunar y ya se nos echaba la hora de la comida encima así que decidimos tomar un brunch en el Pret a Manger cerca del Castillo. Un par de bocatas muy buenos cada uno, nos gustó.

Lovely coffee and food with friendly service

I like eating healthy and most of the time it's quite a challenge to find fresh salads with good quality ingredients (the ones that are sold in supermarkets really don't taste so good.) That's why I feel like a child in a toy store every time I can go into a Prêt-à-manger shop. With enough choice in healthy fresh salads, this is what I'd wish for to have in all Belgian cities.

We got soup to hold us over here. It was self serve from a warm case, great idea! The staff was very nice too.

Delicious food, as always at Pret. What really annoys me, though, is that you have to pay an extra £1 if you want to eat your salad inside - absolutely pointless. Do you pay for the privilege to eat from a silver-like tray? Good money-making trick, but it makes the customer feel fooled. A huge downside of this Pret A Manger is the LACK OF TOILETS in the cafe, so only go there if you're not planning on staying for long, and definitely don't go there if you're looking for a cafe only so that you have somewhere to wee. Apart from that, the location is nice and calm and there is no hustle-and-bustle from the street. Nice seats and a good selection of cakes, cold no-bread sandwiches, salads, and hot food (hail the chickpea dhal).

Nothing but love for this restaurant. Everything is fresh, delicious, and the price is fair.

Fresh and delicious, people who like to have egg in breakfast should try the egg sandwich with salmon.

Visited for coffee and a cake and my son had a salad. Great to find the salmon salad with sushi rice is gluten free. Good to find a seat when Edinburgh was so busy. Clean restaurant but toilets needed attention.

Coffee is good but food selection is very limited

If you have used Pret A Manger before you know what to expect, very good sandwiches and coffee etc. If I'm on the go I'd always prefer Pret to pick up a couple of things, coffee and breakfast baguette in the mornings or salad and smoothie or sandwich for lunch.Just love Pret.

A decent outlet of the Pret franchise. Easy to eat meals and a good selection.
