Pret a Manger in Glasgow City

I visited today with a friend, not been the best times over the past few weeks, John Rowe who served me, no words, warm, friendly, kind overall incredible, the treatment we received was 100%, shop was busy but service was quick and incredible, John you changed my day with your professionalism, kindness and overall humanity. Thanks for the introduction to the cinnamon crown! Game changer and now my fav! John is what all establishments need on their team, I will see you soon and of course the Crown!! x PS the other team members were full of smiles and chat whilst at the counter so well done to you guys too!

Quick stop here for a bite before heading to Buchanan Station Bus Terminal. Had a Tuna melt and tea. Tuna melt was delicious. Good place for sandwiches, pastries and hot/cold drinks.

Always great at Pret A Manger. Great coffee and the freshness and quality of the sandwiches, etc. is always first class and never disappoints. Some places you go often let themselves down when you go back a second or third time - not Pret! If you have not tried it out yet then check it out next time you are looking for a quick lunch. I always take the Tuna and cucumber sandwich but nothing special about the drinks

Got told to leave Pret as was told by bald man working there that all people present must buy a drink to sit outside of Pret, my friend did not want a drink and so we were made to leave after I had ordered my drink. Ps very rude service

This branch is notorious for bad customer service and I always shrugged it off as they are having a bad day. However last week I went to get a hot chocolate and the girl who served me her name is Monta was extremely rude and she spilled the drink all over. When I asked her for a napkin she pointed at the side where they keep them. The drink tasted of water and was clearly not made correctly I was the only customer there so they were not even busy. They really need urgent customer service training. Never coming back

Not well set up. Feels like a cheap cafe but everything overpriced.

PROBLEM WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER - STILL NOT FIXED. It's summer and yet the temperature in half of this cafe is baltic (too cold!). I was in a few weeks ago and was told they have someone coming to fix the problem, but it feels like it's still not fixed!! This means a choice between the warm-enough section but having to use the bar stools (I currently have a bad back...) and freezing my rear off. I will happily change from a 1-star review when / if it gets fixed.........

Very disorganised with coffee orders going missing and a long wait.

I ordered lunch take away. When I walked out my father (76 years old) decided he wanted to quickly sit and have his drink. So we sat down. The manger came over and said we were not allowed to eat in because we’d ordered take away. I explained my father wanted a quick break and I thought this was a bit mean but hey… so we then went and sat outside. The same manager then came out, presented us with a bill and told us we had come back in to declare which sandwiches we’d had in and which we didn’t so that we could pay the difference!! I’ve been eating at Pret establishments for nearly 20 years and I’ve never been treated like this. We didn’t finish our lunch and felt weren’t welcome at all. Pret is great! This manager needs to go!

Really good service at this PAM. Had to wait 15 minutes for sandwiches to arrive and got a free hot beverage! Love their food too.

The review by Hamin Amin is so wrong. First of all it wasn’t abbey he was talking to on that day. Somebody else had the badge, he didn’t ask the member of staffs name, other staff and myself witnessed the incident, he read the name on the badge. He can’t even spell the word latte. He was rude vile and nasty. Maybe he should have a review done on him. So you need to remove this review as it’s not Abbey as people would think it’s her

I really enjoy my visits to Pret A Manger for their sandwiches and organic coffee, good quality. ( a meal deal would be fabulous though) I've found the customer service to be good . The staff member Danielle (Danni) really has lovely customer service qualities and is always consistent with it too. Efficient, helpful and friendly 😊

Some staff are rude and aggressive .

The only Pret I've ever been in with really rude and aggressive staff. That we boy serving really needs to get some social skills

I visited Pret cafe on Sauchiehall street in Glasgow first time on 5th April 2024 at 2:50pm. At the counter there was a male and female host. If they are reading this, they will exactly know who they are. I inquired about various coffee as i wanted a less sugary one. While I was inquiring both the servers started giggling as if Iam stupid and asking some stupid stuff. I believe people serving should have some basic manners, patience and professionalism especially if somebody is asking about a basic coffee information. Anyhow took a plain latte and left the store but i definitely know one thing, I won’t be coming back here to this cafe to give them business. Staff seem lackadaisical and need more training.

This specific locations seating is laid out incorrectly. The tables and chairs are very chunky and manoeuvring around them is so awkward for everyone. Definitely need to replace them to make the restaurant look more refined.

Cafe in central station. Way too expensive. Flat white small and 1 biscuit £6.80 takeaway Better value elsewhere. Won’t return.

Wouldn’t let me go toilet even though I was a customer and bought a sandwich and a coffee. I had to scan a receipt to use the toilet but I wasn’t given one and when I told them that we didn’t get a receipt he said the toilet is now closed ? When I literally just bought something 2 minutes before.

The service is extremely poor; I strongly advise against visiting them in the morning or you know don’t go there any time. You’ll regret it and have a terrible day. I suspect there might be a racist employees depending on my experience. The manager behaved rudely, shouting at a woman seeking assistance with her application. Despite her efforts telling him she contact customer service on Instagram and Twitter many times, he continued yelling, embarrassing her that he can’t do any thing for her!!! So, why you are a manager if you couldn’t help!! We deserve better customer service, or you PRET will lose your customers. And I will be the first one who will not renew my subscription any more. Because of Sauchiehall St branch is the nearest one to my home and they are terrible not forget the smell of burnt food and cheese all the time in the shop I think they do it on purpose to keep customers out😅. Or some of the employees’ faces when they are taking your orders 😡. Absolutely you have a miserable day after their coffee. Most of the female stuff are nice except two unfortunatelyI don’t know their names and one is new in the shop and the rudest ever. After reading the reviews, I am sure now they are racist and the problems have never solved.

Food is delicious but some of the staff need to redo their customer care training. Arguing in front of customers about “who is in charge here” isn’t a good look. The lovely lady serving me was embarrassed by her colleagues and apologised.

I have ordered a latte and found only having half of amount coffee. This is not good.

This is a really grotty Pret. I went in for a tea later in the afternoon and the place felt like no one was paying attention to it. Tables unwiped and sticky, crumbs everywhere - piles of old fruit salads in a mess on the counter. Do yourself a favour and go to the much more pleasant Social Bite a few doors down.

I had a very bad experience here lately. I had went in on a warm day and ordered some iced drinks for me and my partner, from the get go the server was being very blunt with me but i didn’t take it personally, just wanted to get my drinks and get on with my day. My partner brought me them and they were hot, not that big of a deal, mistakes happen. I didn’t want to cause too much fuss so thought i’d just ask for two cups of ice to pour the drinks into and go. Walking back up none of the servers made eye contact and avoided me, although i was the only person there, finally caught the attention of the girl who served me and told her the problem kindly, the only thing she said was “no” with a very offputting demeanor and just kept repeating no with no context and a blank expression, just absolutely not trying to have a normal conversation and shutting me off. As i tried to explained i just wanted some ice please, even though these were drinks i paid for, it seemed like to her this was an unreasonable request almost like it was coming out her own pocket. I tried not to lose my cool but the whole situation was very overwhelming, i was made to feel like i was lying or wanted a free hand out. The other servers gossiping about the situation right in front of me laughing like i wasn’t there, and then the male agressively stating the server wasn’t being rude when i addressed it to him. I understand everyone has bad days, but this experience really was awful for me and would never return here. And looking at some recent reviews now it’s clear i’m not the only one who had a bad interaction with this person.

I've ordered a drink and unfortunately I didn't like the taste of it. Immediately I said this is not the drink I have normally and asked for a replacement and staff refused also staff are rude if you're non white as I have observed few times. Staff including manager is so friendly to Caucasians and if you're different you will get that dirty look and i find that appalling as I travel up and down the country for work and I have never experienced anything like what I have experience at this shop on sauchihall Street. If you're non white avoid this place.

I was in pret and I ordered I an Ice Late . The person who was preparing that for me put the ice first in the cup, then pour hot expresso over it which melted it, then added the milk. I asked to add more ice as I ordered ice late and not the late. She said that is the way they make it and told me in cheeky way “ have a nice day” like she mean shut up and just go. So I explained to her that this is the way I drink the coffee and Starbucks always put ice that stays for al least one hour and that her customer service is below zero, I asked her for her name and she refused to give me. Just her manager told me her name Abbey, never will be back

I arrived at 7 o'clock and was the first customer to enter! One of the employees opened the door for me. He took my order very friendly too. I stayed an hour there in a cosy corner.

Delivery was fine, but disappointing Pret forgot to add one of the items ordered.

Really good sandwiches / soup / teas and coffee, they do soya & coconut milk, not a great place for cake. Great people watching views if you can get a window seat, not many seats and it always busy. Need a code from staff to use the toilets.

don't expect much, but reasonably cheap. RESPONSE TO MGMT: I'm not reaching out via another venue. I gave my feedback and you could easily ask what was sub par on here rather than making me do the work for you. I will not be coming back regardless so it's irrelevant.

Well I am a big fan of their hot beverages, my cuurrrent fav is coconut caramel hot chocolate ! 😋 and if you like'em take their membership of beverages it will save you a good money if you drink more than 5 coffees in a day!

Coffee was good. Pastry selection was poor. Staff friendly and warm. Premises a little grubby as in needs redecorating.

We knew about this chain in our first trip to England and we fell in love with it for 2 reasons: the prize and the variety of food. Mainly for the ones who are in a hurry and want to eat something fresh and fast. I love the soups. My husband and daughter, the pastas. The deserts can be great too. If you want to save some money and be satisfied in your meals, try Pret a Manger.

The staff at this Pret are really lovely and the service quick. Sometimes the stock and variance of food is a bit low and the seating cramped, what you would expect from a city centre place.

Rude staff and an obnoxious manager- funny to see this has already been mentioned in reviews. Will be highlighting today's experience with Pret's Customer Services. Appalling, and the store is utterly filthy.

Expensive and staff were not the nicest.

15:15 Monday 05-12-22: Customer experience at the Sauchiehall Street branch was shocking. My aunt had a full coffee spilt down her new coat whilst the on duty manager opened an adjoining door. He couldn’t have cared less and blamed my 82 year old aunt. No attempt to engage or offer a “sorry”. You are an embarrassment and your conduct was shameful.

I didn't receive my order at all today. I waited around for 45 minutes then had to go to my class.

Good coffee. And the Reuben toastie was awesome.

Probably the slowest service i've ever expirienced in a coffee shop. I come here regularly as it's the last pret that closes in glasgow. But the staff seems very slow and chat to each other rather than work on my drink. My average weight time here is 7-10 minutes. Even when there's no line it takes them 5 minutes for a coffee...

The folk that work at Pret Sauchiehall Street are great. Work so hard, and always with a smile. They make the place.

General service is good with helpful staff. However, the management appears to be unable to maintain stock. Have asked for a cold drink on 3 occasions over the past week (admittedly always in the afternoon) and been told that there is no way to make a shake, smoothie or whatever...

First time visiting and also the last. Ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream. The girl serving saw that there was no cream left after paying and decided to fill with cold milk instead. She laughed with her coworker saying she was asking the 'cream knowing full well it was just milk. Had one sip and realised it was stone cold so had to go back and ask for another one to be made. Also not a fan of paper cups when sitting in.

Rude and I'll mannered staff never have frappes after 5pm. It's on the menu and they can wash a jug out in under a minute. Fat and lazy female has no manners. Should probably be kept away from customers.

This place used to be great. Ever since the coffee subscription this place has went downhill. Vowed today will never be back. The coffee got sent back as wrong order and new coffee was absolutely disgraceful. The staff polite enough but all chat and seem don't care. The pret in Central station seem to make coffee to your order and always chatty. I have said it few times that I won't visit sauchiehall St again but today's visit confirmed it has went to dogs! Even my mum said her coffee was awful and she's a pret fan

Manager behind the counter waaaaay too loud bellowing out orders to staff in a nearly empty restaurant. Tone it down, please!

The coffee wa really good here. Not burnt or bitter. I also bought 3 cinnamon scrolls which were a hit with the ladies at the office. Definitely will make this place my regular.

I come here at least twice a day and the staff are always amazing. Feel like they’re overworked though. Get some paid holidays in for these guys! They work their a**** off!!

Customer service wouldn’t go a miss. Being from England where we no longer require masks I honestly didn’t realise it had to be worn. Upon reaching the counter, woman in white shirt (sounded American I think) didn’t even have the decency to say Hello or ask how I was but jumped at the opportunity to rudely tell me to put on a mask and then colleagues where muttering to each-other behind the till. Disappointing experience!

I loved the ambience and it's pretty quick to grab a bite or drink.

I didn't have any breakfast and I desperately needed a coffee after my partner and I had an early morning hospital appointment. I'd left my wallet at home and only realised at the till and wanted to cancel my order but instead, I was told that it's on her today. It made my day and it makes me want to go back when I do have my wallet on me, thank you.

Manager refused to serve me as I was not wearing a mask (I am exempt). When I said I was exempt he proceeded to offer me a mask from a box. I repeated that I was exempt from wearing one and I was told in an aggressive manner he could not serve me and said “it’s the law”. Not wanting to argue any further I left the shop in disgust. A few days later I was walking by the same Pret A Manger and glanced in the window, in doing so I noticed 3 members of staff were going about their business without any face coverings. Avoid !!!!
