Starbucks in Glasgow City

Staff quite rude, saying we have to buy something to sit despite just sitting down. i don’t like being rushed personally so we left. Cafe is meant to be a relaxed atmosphere not rushing customers along

Starbucks on Hillhead makes the best almond milk latte I have ever had. This branch of Starbucks has 2 levels and a couple of tables located at the ground floor windows that you can sit at relax enjoy your drink and watch the world go by. On a colder day you can sit at the window and enjoy the strange expressions on people's faces as they experience the conditions of the cooler outside air mixing with the warmer Glasgow underground (metro) and creating indoor fog

Somewhat wished they would check the stickers when making coffee, it's the second time this week that this happened when it's not busy.

Byres Rd., Glasgow - Was over charged £1, request not to fill it full was ignored and tasted like a watery mess.

Friendly staff, but hot chocolate was watery and served in paper cups. Tasted bad. Interior looking tired and grim. No longer a nice environment to be in, not comfortable at all.

I went to met a friend for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. I had my first pumpkin spiced latte lovely not too sweet for me and a ham and cheese toastie my friend had a black coffee and a tomato and cheese toastie. Both enjoy and filled the gap till dinner time. I had my dog with me and he loves his pupacino and the sad part is we had to leave and my friend left to go back home to Canada.

Fin just absolutely made my afternoon by going above and beyond anything that I would expect! place was clean, drinks were lovely, as was the food and the service :)

This shop used to have a great cosy ambience but has entirely lost it in recent years. Shame 🙄

A million stars for service here! After a torrential downpour on a Friday evening - soaked and looking ridiculous for an evening out - the Batista here warmed me and my partner right up again with his fantastic welcoming chat. He even have us a bunch of napkins and things to handle some running makeup.. We had two iced lattes for the irony. It's Starbucks coffee, sure, and I'm usually harsh on high street chains. But not today! I wish I remembered the name of our server, but whoever you were, you're a top bloke.. it's those little things that stay with us! Hope this brightens your day too!

Two same toasted vanilla, totally different taste. There is no vanilla in mine, it’s really awful. The waitress’s attitude is so so bad when I came back asking for changing. They are cheating on consumers. 两杯一模一样的烤香草新品，我的那杯跟我朋友的那杯味道完全不一样。咖啡师做的时候忘记给我的那杯加料了，当我要求店员换一杯的时候她们的服务态度很差。我花钱买商品却得到了完全不同的商品，这是欺骗消费者的行为。

Dear Starbucks customer I was in Starbucks Glasgow , silverburn last night with my daughter like always minimum 4 times a week we visit Starbucks the surprise was yesterday from one of the stuff member her name Clog when my daughter asked her for cup of water and she refused as they do not give water i couldn’t believe what I heard I attend to her and asked again she said the they don’t give water because we are and I have the conversation recorded, I call to the store when I reach home and I spoke with the manager and told her what happened and she took my email and phone number and she never call back . Promise I will post everywhere possible and complain till I get reply.

the staff here are so nice and sweet, even through brief interactions they make me smile. like all Starbucks, it is incredibly expensive but very tasty. it can often get very busy and be a bit crowded but if you go at the right time it is a very pleasant experience.

Ok it is a generic Starbucks as some other reviews noted. That said it has a number of positives: 1. Coffee is way better than Pret (not a high bar I'll admit) 2. A Venti (huge) latte is noticeably cheaper than it is in the US. 3. Very central location - right next to the underground. 4. Staff are nice

Coffee ordered for me and colleagues - terrible all round. Drinks were missing; no sealing foil was added under the lids resulting in an absolute riot of spills from the provided cups. The alleged mocha was a poor quality, watery latte with no hint of cocoa or chocolate. Customer service response was poor. This store makes semi-frequent errors in orders but this is an achievement.

Can be very busy ,when it is you wait for ages for your coffee, it's actually bad layout what brings it down

I placed an order for a cold brew latte with oat milk and when I got it it had oat milk and semi-skimmed milk(???) phoned the store and they said that there’s nothing they can do about it. Very disappointed with this.

It's such a cozy place and the drinks are bussing.

Coffee, cakes and sandwiches so overpriced and the tables were full of the last persons rubbish, not a nice experience, won't be using Starbucks again.

The place was quite busy (as someone who works in a chain coffee shop I understand the pressure) but some members of staff, particularly one called Holly, were quite rude and abrasive.

Not always up to the standard. Some baristas are good while some others are not good at all. Sometime I get my best coffee and sometimes I get the worst. So depends on how lucky you are when visiting 😃

Very rude manager, Anna. She was not pleased when I asked to change my order because they are running out of stock of Tea bags for large drink. Poor stock management at her end. She said I can order more Teabag from App but not in store. The strangest policy I heard from all my experience of other store. As the store do not have enough teabag, I change my order. She did not appreciate customer who speaks at the same tone as her. I would advise, maybe she should be changing the order nicely rather than giving customer hard time for her not knowing how to operate the till to change the order. I have clearly stated the number of teabag I want for my large drink before making payment. So, if the store don’t have enough, pls do not make the customer sounds like the problem. Most unprofessional manager.

Busy, mildly chaotic and somewhat tired and disheveled (as all Starbucks are). It’s an unoriginal and uninspiring chain of coffee shops with little to differentiate one branch from another. However it is dog friendly (which I like) and the staff were pleasant.

This is my Starbucks. This is not even my preferred coffee, however this is my Starbucks. In 3 visits they knew my name, they could tell based on my tone of voice that I would like another shot of espresso in my coffee this morning, and just generally they are the best baristas in town. They are like friendly local cafe baristas that happen to work in a chain coffee shop. Oh and for any visiting Americans: venti black tea, over ice, three pumps of simple syrup = american sweet tea. Don't use a flavoured tea because it won't be the right strength. ;)

It's Starbucks so you know the menu; coffee, sandwiches, cakes, et cetera. This one seems quite basic inside but nice all the same. I never went upstairs though so it's perhaps a little more plush up there. Staff were great though, recommended.

The staff here are all really lovely and friendly. They give you advice on what drink you should try and give people advice on everything Starbucks related. Would definitely recommend.

Like most Starbucks. You probably know what to expect. Convenient, but an acquired taste. If you like the taste of the coffee, then great but it's not for everyone. Pastries etc not fresh, but again some people like them a lot. Extra seating upstairs which is good. Service is usually very friendly, and they make an extra effort for regular customers. I've improved my rating in appreciation of their covid safety efforts, which have been excellent, especially early in the pandemic. Sadly the same can't be said for all the clientele, but you can't have it all I guess.

I’ve said it before I’ll say it again. Not a great coffee shop. I ordered on the app because I needed drinks quickly and early (otherwise I’d got to perch and rest on otago st. ). I went to use the loo. Both ladies bathrooms had no loo roll. Then my coffee didn’t taste right so I sent it back and I think the barista was personally offended. I’m sure it WASNT his skills that made it taste gross, it just tasted like the milk was off or something but his attitude was like I’d just offended his hair cut. So if you read this, please know my complaint wasn’t directed at you personally and in life you will come across many situations where you should step back and see the bigger picture. Thank you for your time. Can I get an amen up in here.

Great staff went out if way tk secure a same for me ans my uni friend ethan and my dog ckeo too and one of the staff brought over a cup full of whipped cream and said for dog if that's okay I said yes of course that's more than okay thank your bless the staff. Great to know it's dog friendly ill be back again .

It would be nice if the staff were as on the ball with clearing and cleaning tables as they were about making up their own nonsensical covid rules

Popped in for a coffee to warm up and pass the time before picking my partner up from a friend's. Great coffee and no pressure to hurry and finish up my drink.

Nonchalant place, slow service and coffee server has issues. Good coffee ☕ though. Should be 5 stars but when spending 20 quid on coffees, I'd the staff to at least pretend they like their customers and job.

Must be the only Starbucks in the world that closes at 8pm. On a busy street and in a university neighbourhood, nogal.

A miserable day made better by the guy making my coffee ( Fin ) what a nice chap , plenty of good chat very friendly. I was feeling down today but not anymore he cheered me right up in the time it took to make my exceptional vanilla latte :)

Previously been ok but today purchased a white americano which clearly had no milk. When I asked for milk I was told there was milk in the coffee. Really? Not the usual Starbucks service

3 issues; The fact university students are in it makes me want to go less. The price's are way too expensive for example you can get a ice coffee from their or to to Tesco which isn't far from there. Lastly the coffee makes you have diarrhoea and anxiety! Also the pick up system is a joke I was waiting 45mins for a drink!

Starbuckios, a place to get some food and drink when out and about. Do love a strawberries and cream on a sunny day. Still can't make a decent cup of tea though,but then again, coffee is their game.

On my previous visit I tried to pay with my mobile app, but there was some update thing I needed and in the end I had to pay by card, so this time round I didn't even bother with my mobile app and just used my card. Friendly service 🥺

I am not usually into coffee joints but the hot chocolate I tried here was good. I loved the ambience and would definitely recommend it to friends and others who are looking for a nice chitchat with friends alongwith a good cup of coffee/hot chocolate.

Good wee place to meet clients and get some work done if you go before lunch (before fills up with students). Table was a bit sticky so could be a bit cleaner.

As always only a quick visit but with great music playing and efficient service it was good. Special shout to Dominic the barista who danced and sang throughout my rush hour visit. I wont hold spelling my name wrong against you.

The toilets were absolutely atrocious. I’ve came here twice and both times the toilets have had poo and pee on the floor, this time there was a bloody pad behind the toilet, never coming here again

Out of filter coffee when I visited and only served a dark roast. Helpful staff saves it from one star.

Like any Starbucks around, good place to be. Decent for a quick pick up when you need it or even as a first date and you're clueless on where to go. Prices are a little steep for some things they have on the menu but it's worth it in the end.

Pretty standard Starbucks. Because of location it tends to be very busy with students and west end locals.

you get what you expect from anyother starbucks. The upstairs area is a nice place to have a group study session or something of that sort.

It's alright if you get the nice employees. A girl in particular that served me just now was very grumpy and didn't seem bothered at all with how rude she was being. It wasn't like it was busy inside at the time either I was one of 3 customers.

Great wee place, friendly, respectful staff. If it looks full downstairs, try upstairs where, although there's no windows making the area somewhat basic in appearance, there loads more comfortable seating and the music isn't too invasive. The coffee is served in generous sized mugs rather than cups and is all the better for that. Good place to meet friends or to escape the hussle and bussle of the ever popular Byers Road.
