Pret a Manger in Camden

A cup of warm coffee and a sandwich before boarding the morning train!! And there is one Korean person (is he the store manager??) I am so grateful to hear the words “Have a nice trip” from England!!

Terrible service: Pret must stop hiring old men. It is such a shame because their food is excellent.

I was served by Obi at pret St Pancras. Her smile brightened my day! Don’t usually leave reviews but wanted to give Obi a shout out.

Tried their falafel wrap! It tastes better if you warm it up. Nice little snack option and the kiosk has plenty of seating if you want to chill and enjoy your food

I had the pleasure of being served one of the best lattes by Abdi. He had great energy and a contagious laugh. To my surprise, as I opened the lid to put sugar in, He made a beautiful tulip on my coffee. I appreciate him for making my day!!

Been coming here every week since 2017. Staff always friendly and happy to help. No complaints.

It's not outside the train station, but inside the train station and near the electronic display. I stopped by urgently on my way to travel. It was crowded, but Lady cashier was super kind and friendly. Choco Croissant was very delicious. Despite being delayed on the train, she and Choco Croissant made the trip happy. 초코크루아상 맛있어요!!!

They ripped us off. We were charged close to 45GBP for our food we had picked to take on Eurostar. We’re now on the train and boom - they didn’t add all the food into the bag. So annoyed and dealing with hungry kids as a result. Lost so much money! Grrrrrrrr. We were warned to watch our belongings at the station but really didn’t see that coming! Avoid this place, they are crooks.

I bought it for lunch on the Eurostar! It seems to be a Korean chain like Paris Baguette or Tteumju, but the sandwich was pretty decent.

this Pret here, the porridge they sell only provides honey. Many times i have been here hoping to see seeds that suppose to come with the porridge and it never happened. cut cost ??

Quick service, friendly, smily and efficient staff (both cashiers and baristas), good variety and quality of food. Pleasantly surprised with the experience at this location.

Service was so slow, was waiting over 10 minutes so I had to leave without collecting my coffees to catch my train

Mostly OK but when it's busy it's a disaster. Disorderly, people take drinks you ordered before them.

Just went to see if I can get a smaller hot chocolate for 3£ from pret outside the train station,as I’m coming from abroad and that’s all the money I had left. The lady had a great big smile and she just offered me a hot chocolate for free. I did not ask for her name and hope to not cause her any trouble but I wanted to tell her thank you so much, amazing person, keep smiling 😊 thank you so so so much xx

When you finally learn to give napkins to your takeaway order, it’s the same thing every time! You look into the bag - there are no napkins, you come back and ask for these damn napkins - somehow they give you one! What kind of total savings? And this is with such prices. Disgrace

Good food and service excellent, but the staff have all been told by Pret management not to drink the tap water, nor serve it to customers (not something I have experienced in other Pret branches). So, Pret management: what is wrong with the water supply to your Kings Cross branch, and shouldn’t you do something about fixing it? Alternatively, what do you think is wrong with the mains water in the Kings Cross area (other premises were quite happy to fill my water bottle from the tap)? I do hope you’re not doing this to drive sales of bottled water. (I’ve moved this review to the correct branch; sorry York Way branch for the undeserved bad review)

This pret is a little weird in the way it’s set up, but it essentially offers all the things you’d expect from a pret. I used to go nearly every lunch time when I worked around the corner. They’d just introduced the coffee subscription so I got a smoothie every day. In those days it worked out quite cheaply and meant I got some fruit in me every day. The smoothies themselves were fine but I can’t drink them anymore because the taste reminds me too much of that weird six months with that weird job.

What about chicken? It looks like soup curry. It looks a bit strange, but it's super delicious.

Staff are lovely here and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Service with a smile. Beautiful fresh food and wide choice of drinks and coffee. Reasonable price

Absolutely undrinkable coffee this morning served by an utterly cheerless staff member who couldn't even look at me. There's plenty of decent coffee places in Kings Cross. Don't bother with this place.

As always, the food and drinks were delicious! However, this Pret a Manger unit has overcome the disappointment when it comes to the amount of places to sit! And as always they ask a higher price to eat there. But they don't guarantee that you will find at least one place to eat in there! Thank you

Staff member started stacking rubbish in a cage, within 2ft of my table, lifting stinking dripping bags over my table/food. A woman asked him how to operate the bin and he was condescending to her. In the 10 minutes I was there, 3 beggars approached my table asking me for money. Filthy, horrible place.

One of my favorite Pret branches across London. I visit here almost everyday for peppermint tea or hot chocolate, and, Aman, one of the Baristas is one of the first friends I made in the city. I do quite a bit of journaling here, as I love the hustle of train catching busy people and Aman recognised my visits everyday and now doesn’t fail to ask me how my day went. 😊 Very friendly staff, enthusiastic to suggest new items on the menu. They have the best chocolate mousse, must try. I had a favorite coffee shop back home in India where the baristas made me feel like home and must say this Pret branch has made me feel the same way here in London. Cheers!

As much as I love the staff at all the Pret locations, today I was served with a terribly hot americano! Really disappointing experience from an otherwise lovely fast food place!

Had a latte. The service was great. Coffee was heaven. Would definitely recommend this place.A hot cup of coffee in the cold weather is bliss.

Service is incredibly slow. Don’t order a hot chocolate. It’s 95% water, 4% milk 1% chocolate powder. ☹️

I had just a coffee with some friends, so I haven’t actually tried their food, but the place was clean and pleasant (considering the chaos of being inside a tube and train station), and I had a good experience with my service.

Claims to be a charity who works with the homeless. Lol but when they’re approached by an actual rough sleeper. I’m told “ we can’t give you sorry we can only give to the charities “ ??? I’ve had another homeless women with dread-locs tell me “ an Ethiopian guy feeds me all the time … he drops bags by me when I’m sleeping. Oh he’s so lovely go and get food because you’re starving and haven’t ate “ I’ve seen homeless people in the station after 11pm with bags of food so please. You should’ve just said what you was thinking. That I’m not homeless nor look it. NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER !! Deserves 0 stars from me.

I love all foods in Pret a Manger. It’s chocolate croissant is the best i think! I love all coffees! As it’s always busy some staffs might be resigned faced but that’s not a big problem :)

A really good standard chain cafe in a very busy train station. There are plenty of options for food and drink and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is also a good amount of seating.

30 degrees outside and they're not serving iced drinks. They're not even on the menu (ie they haven't run out). Dumbest management...

I frequent this branch as it's convenient, yet many times I've been disappointed by it closing much earlier than stated online.

Just wanted a small amount of cold water or block of ice in my americano as it’s normally too hot but apparently this isn’t possible. Strange

Went above and beyond, busy spot as you may imagine, Friday of coronation weekend too, I was initially impressed by how well laid out the whole unit was, everything looked smart with well stocked food and drink areas. My first encounter with the staff on the tills was the chap serving at the far left as customers view the counter, he not only dealt with my order effectively he then engaged in a chat, rapport building which was very sweet and appreciated on this very busy travelling day. I sat down with my wife and realised I needed some water for meds. The tea was nuclear hot. I shuffled to the counter, this time the far right as you look at it as a customer and spoke with who I now know to be Meron. I asked for a cup of cold water, they couldn't supply it and she gave me directions for a tap somewhere in the station. That was lost on me and I sat back down a little flustered. Meron saw this and a few seconds later came over to our table and passed me a complementary bottle of cold water. She/they didn't have to do that however they did and it meant a lot. Thank you Meron, thank you Kings Cross Pret a Manger, your doing a great job looking after weary traveller's, keep up the good work. 5 stars!

Asked for a flat white and recieved a flat white in a small cup 🤦🤷also bought a salmon and egg breakfast baguette which was soft and stale and the almond croissant was also stale ...told the girl who served me and assured me everything was fresh and would change the coffee...absolutely disgusting place ..wouldn't mind but it's not even busy

I just want to said thank the lovely lady who severed me today with a vanilla coffee in a travel mag. She was so nice.

Staff are rude. Queue up for coffee, Manager more interested in the machines than the customers. Got to front of queue, no interest in what I wanted. Left. What has happened at Pret? Service used to be great, now terrible.

Unbelievably chaotic and rude service. No eye contact and when my delightful server called out ‘cappuccino!’ And I tried to take my coffee, she clung onto it and shouted ‘Did I serve you?’ Yes you did and the end of this torturous transaction was as charming as the beginning!

Should be more careful when serving rolls . Asked for two salt beef and eat the first one and it was lovely but went to eat the second and I'm glad I checked as I have a sea food allergy . The second one was salmon . Pay more attention. I would've taken it back but I was on a train by the time I checked .

Pret is on the refill app and they say online that they will refill bottles. I have been on a 6 hour journey with no water and asked for a refill. The woman working at pret refused and said they only sold bottles. Not company policy and was very rude. She just enjoyed being rude.

Very poor experience and unprofessional staff. The shop was not ready by 5:30am and opened 30 minutes late, so very disappointing. The staff is supposed to make sure the shop is ready for customers at 5:30am. My train was at 5:45am, so I did get a chance to get what I needed for the trip. Pret being the only option opening before 6am, this experience was terrible.

I love pret and stay loyal to it wherever I am, however this concession inside the station is appalling.. you’re paying £4 for cold coffee slopped down the side of the cup. It’s like that nearly every time I order. Absolute waste and no need to go there with competitors all around.

As well as the small one in the street, the staff is nice. The drinks are well-made.

Very welcoming, a close-knit and extremely friendly team. I have been several times and on each visit they have been quick and efficient in their work while keeping a generous vibe !

A busy location made worse by having no real que system in place, resulting in check out being a total confusion. Several people skipped the que and several other people (including me) waited longer to be served because things were such a mess trying to pay. The service and options in the St. Pancras Station are much better and I won't be visiting this Pret again.

Great service this am. The guy serving was really chirpy. Unfortunately the next person served was too busy using their phone to pay him any attention.

It's the only place past security where you can grab food and drinks before getting onto a Eurostar train so they are servicing a huge traffic of passengers and I can imagine the pressure on staff is very high. Most of them are brilliant but some treat customers with poor attitude, borderlining with arrogance. Their food selection is good and is of standard Pret quality. Getting a hot drink there is a lottery - twice in the last month I got not what I ordered.

I do like the Prét chain (with their great value monthly subscription), and I'll appreciate the fact this one is open until 11pm. But staff often seem not quite as friendly as in other branches, hence I'm docking them a star.

PAY ATTENTION on how much they charge you!! The staff are dishonest and cheaters. I went there to grab a chicken soup when they were soon closing. The price on the shelf is 3.3, and one of the staff tried to charge me 4.5, and I asked is it 4.5? He said yes it’s 4.5. I paid and went back to the shelf to check again. And I retuned to the counter, and the staff turned away and ignored me, so I talked to another older staff (seemed like a manager) and said is this 3.3 or 4.5? You might put the wrong price on the shelf. He went to the shelf to check with me (it was 3.3), and he told me that it was a mistake. The soup is 4.5 pounds for sure. I was so naive and stupid. I said that’s fine. I just don’t want the price tag to confuse other customers. Afterwards, I went back to the hotel and my UK friend told me that the price was for takeaway, but they charged you for dinning in. What a great method to increase the store profit CHEATERS!!! 👏👏👎👎

I used to go to pret all the time when they had good food and great customer service. The pret located on the bottom as well as the top floor in St Pancras Intl are by far the worst! On several occasions they have gotten my order wrong, only for me to realise when I’m on the train and departed the platform. They seem not to care, unable to focus on give the necessary and basic attention to customers when serving - for example eye contact, a greeting. Most times feel like I’m being ignored. I then decided to get the pret app to scan the QR code to get points as I tend to go in 3/5 times a week. Might as well make it worth my while. EVERY SINGLE TIME, I have the same issue of them not scanning my QR code properly so I never get the points to them assuming I want to pay the QR code when I repeatedly tell them I am paying with my card as well as scanning my code for points. They still seem not to understand and it is so FRUSTRATING! The lady this morning on 17.09.22 did just that and to top it off I asked for a Pain Aux Raisin - even pointed at it. Just to get on the train and realise she gave me a croissant instead. After all my negative experience - I will never buy anything and walk into a Pret A Manger ever again!

Food same as all other Prets but the service is really bad.

Just been in here - fairly chaotic but the main problem is we had to buy room temperature bottled water as nothing was chilled and only when I got to my train and it was too late to return I discovered that the flat white I had bought was stone cold. That is a really unacceptable lack of care and a waste of money.

Why are there no trash cans? Are the British people incapable of supporting basic services like refuse management? Are they content to pile waste where they may, like children? No, not content---this was an active policy choice---they appear to actively revel in it. Surely this is an embarrassment, compared to the major transit hubs in other nations that appear to be able to maintain some basic level of decency and self-respect.

Many thanks to the lovely, polite young lady with the glasses who served me on Sunday afternoon, I was feeling rough and she certainly helped to brighten my day despite her being busy.

According to the website, this outlet is open to 11.30pm. Today at 10.45pm I went in for a roll (not much choice but I expected that at the end of the day) but was told that they were closing soon and coffee wasn’t available in a very off hand way. They lost the rest of my order and my business from now on. In recent months this and other Pret outlets, I have noticed a downturn in the quality of the food and the service and the prices have shot up. It seems that the staff no longer care. It has become expensive for a mediocre product.

Absolutely stunning service. I was in a rush but both David and Nibil provided speedy and friendly assistance, even with my special requests. Great teamwork and extra effort for customers. Well done!

I cannot recommend this Pret enough! Hamida was incredibly patient and professional, I was genuinely touched by my experience. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Wow! have to mention the service received the other day from the Kiosk at kingscross. Lovely member of staff called sarah/etta (she gave me 2 names :) The way she was speaking with the customers was so positive and friendly and very engaging/eye contact. V. good energy. Please replicate this amongst the rest of the staff as she is a shining example of excellent customer service.

This Pret used to have great service but recently this station Pret seems a place of utter chaos. I always love Pret food and drink but with c. 6 people on the tills and the same on the coffee machines I was waiting for almost ten minutes to be served just now. Lots of joking around among young men on the tills too. I spoke to the manager and she didn't seem to care. No idea why it's not the fastest Pret in London with so many staff...Service attitude isn't right, I think...

Rude staff!!! No manners ended up walking out with my daughter and going to Nero Express for our drinks and sandwiches. Pret should take note from Nero Express in customer satisfaction and manners even when they have cues of customers waiting to be served.

Having day of pure hell. Mohammed basically decided he was gonna turn it around and did. What a legend.

The guys in here this morning were working flat out and cheering everyone up by having a nice time doing it. Really appreciate the good vibes on an early start - thanks for putting in the effort

Left my sandwiches by the till and left after I got to the front of a chaotic Q system when the server left me hanging to catch up with a million coffee orders. Why can’t they get the basics right?

I've been shocked at how bad Pret has become. In recent weeks I've been charged £15.10 for two drinks (no receipt offered, and only noticed it later) and my other half - on maternity leave and still worried about her weight - was asked "all that?!" as she bought a few bits for a train journey. I complained and they just say oh we'll look into it.

Busy as hell, but it's only logical with that awesome promotion this chain offers. The smoothies are excellent and the drinks with coconut milk taste better, believe me!!

Customer service is very slow, specially at busy times.

Very unpleasant experience at King's Cross today. Waiting inline busy queue assistant starring into spade after waiting 5mins I asked aee you serving 'yeah' came the reply. Having put my sandwich down I asked for a flat white and repeated at white and the sandwich 'bag' came the reply, please said I... he placed the bag on the counter I unfolded it and put my sandwich in. At this point I asked where do I wait for my coffee 'you didn't order one' yes I did Sat's I at which point the assistant smirks and laughs out loud. So....I left.... really shocking service... reported it to McPret a Manger "customer service" but got the stock McDonaldsesque reply. I can only assume that customers are no longer important to this once pleasant chain. I won't return.

Went out on a Saturday evening with the lads and was feeling a little bit down since we missed our train it was cold so we went into pret to get us a English Breakfast tea where i met this lovely young man Called mj he cheered us all up and had such an amazing customer support that makes me want to come back again just for the fun he made me and the lads laugh our eyes out it was absolutely immaculate.If you go to Pret and hes there then you know he will make you smile.

Nice franchise, but could be better with their service

Really quick service, so you don’t need to worry about missing your train. The queues are a bit confusing, some people get away with pushing in, so hold your own! There are some very enthusiastic staff who work here, shouting and singing the coffee order - makes for some light entertainment.

Friendly staff, helped get a table. Coffee was good and juice. However, salad was to dry even with salad dressing and did not taste good. Though due to my allergies I could only have one sandwich which was a meatball wrap that was great.
