Clean, well run, staff seem looked after and friendly aswell as rapid on service. Great location as always and everything you'd expect from a Pret. At around 2pm there was limited food stock on hot meals however.

I've been trying to find the Pret I visited back in October 2024 to leave a quick review! During my weekend trip to London, I used my card for all my purchases. While I was at a Starbucks near the BBC, their card machine was down, and I couldn’t buy a croissant or coffee. So, I continued on until I reached this Pret. I planned to grab a roll and coffee, but their card reader was acting up too. Fortunately, a staff member—I'm almost certain his name was Kevin—was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the situation. He truly made my experience exceptional! Such a wonderful employee and a great coffee shop! I ma still so grateful for the help and kindness I experienced!

This pret always has such nice service. The team seem to always have fun with each other, even when it is busy. There are times when the shelves look a bit bare however they are quickly stocked up and there's still plenty of choices. I want to thank the tall blond gentleman who served me this morning (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name even though it was on your badge!). His joy and positive attitude was so infectious that I had to buy a melted snowman cookie because it made us both laugh. Thank you for making my Friday morning!

Not expected this from Pret! I had to grab a late lunch at 4pm, staff been talking to each other like I’m invisible … I had a chicken salad baguette and it’s disgusting! Too much sauce, and salad was very little like they made it with leftover! Look after your quality and service!!!!

I visited around lunchtime and there was a small queue. I went for a filter coffee but found out they don’t sell it. The staff member was very kind and, apologising, offered me a complimentary Americano. It was a male barista working the lunchtime shift, though I didn’t catch his name. Thanks to him, I started my day on a high note.

Food freshness needs improvement. The cookies are often stale, not soft and gooey as they should be when fresh. I recommend a sister branch if you want it really fresh: Cavendish Square. The good thing about this branch is the early opening time and the location

I come here often, the food is good most of the time but today I find a DEAD FLY!! in my kefte and quinoa bowl salad, I’m disturbed and will not be returning back to this branch.

The taste of coffe and specially hot chocolate is really different from the other branch.

I did visit pret on Friday afternoon ask double express and they try to gave me old express in small red cap I asked why u do this and his answered the office asked to do so I was not happy he changed my coffee a d said believe me its not from staff it's the head office asked as to do so to save money!!!!! What's going on

First time here, not to busy on a Monday at 8am, usual cheery staff, warm welcome, and a seat, to catch up and prep for what comes next... Music okay to.. 🎶

A standard chain cafe in a good location. There is plenty of seating and a good selection of food and drink to choose from.

I have come to this pret quite regularly but today when I pulled out the chocolate croissant from the bag I found a black hair attached to the pastry. This is disgusting!!! You need to check the food you are serving customers

Very disappointing experience, I bought a almond croissant this morning which tasted like chlorine! Had to put in the bin after first bite! Very concerning and disappointing especially when I had to pay £2.5 for this unpleasant experience.

I noticed the staff in this outlet are racial bias and the service is poor.I have asked for Pret shakers and the lady told they ran out of stock .But I just saw she took the same order from other person.They are very bias towards asian people and also towards students who has pret subscription.Very rude behaviour n I strongly urge authorities to consider this seriously.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this Pret. I felt strongly that the staff member serving me provided noticeably poor service due to racial bias, taking significantly longer to serve me despite having arrived earlier. As an Asian individual, I was taken aback by the differential treatment I received. I observed that older white lady taking orders from several other guests with a welcoming demeanor. However, when it was my turn to place an order, I experienced a noticeable shift in her attitude. She seemed uninterested in assisting me, and it felt like she was ignoring my order. Despite my polite requests for service, it took her an unreasonably long time to begrudgingly prepare my drink.The lid on my drink was also broken. The experience left me feeling disappointed, disrespected and that basic standards of customer service and equality were not being met.

This yet another example of a dreadful coffee shop in the UK. The coffee is sub standard, the food is stale and the staff obviously don't like working there. Another appalling issue is that even when you 'dine in', you are given disposable cups, plates and cutlery. The coffee chains like this and Starbucks, Nero and other are a bligh on retailing in the UK. Support independent cafes where possible.

Queue was out the door when I arrived, but went down super quick, really efficient staff. I had a wrap and yoghurt pot both tasted great.

Very slow service. Inattentive and impolite staff. It's just not good enough. And this all for upscaled prices. Baguettes are soggy.

Guy who I can only assume was a manager decided at 4:50 that they "weren't selling enough so we have to close" before rapidly trying to push folks out, while only one poor guy had been working the counter since we arrived, leading to a line near the door! Overall, a generally unpleasant experience despite the counter guy doing his best!

What can you say about Pret, great food and coffee.

not a huge fan of these café chains because of their prices, but I understand why. IT IS a great sight to see when you are in Gatwick airport at 3 am and thats the only thing open.

As with all prets, can be chaos understanding which order is yours without a name / number system

Order arrived nearly an hour late and in a horrid state. Pictures attached. Will not be using this service again. Overpriced. Looked disgusting.

Love the product but recruitment has gone downhill and off a cliff. Staff in are inept and lacking any nouse in respect of what customer service is. They give the vibe they don’t want to be there and customer’s are an unwelcome annoyance. Shame. Because I’ll keep coming back for the food and drinks and have to put up with the staff - like a computer game one has to get past the obstacles (staff) to get the end goal: lunch.

I have previously reviewed this branch regarding food & drink which is quite nice, but I would like to add a negative point regarding the awful music soundtrack. I wish the management would take note that people want to read a newspaper or read a book, have a phone conversation. We do not want to listen to awful unknown songs by unknown artists.

I've been a regular (ab)user of Pret on many occasion but never compelled to write anything (mainly due to their shaky environmental credentials witnessed time and time again). However on this occasion, in this branch, the staff working the shift were utterly charming and definitely deserve praise for their exceptional service. Friendly, informative & extremely good natured ..oh, & the coffee was great too! Outstanding Service & employees of the month by all 3 of this delightful trio. Worst service of any coffee place I’ve ever been to ever. Everyone you hire is a mouth breathing spineless jellyfish that doesn’t know the difference between up or down. Sort it out or close, waste of space

Eat there twice. Good food and good staff

Slow slow service, such poor regard for paying customers. it’s the senior management that are responsible for this shambles of a food and beverage shop When I complained in the store they said only one machine is working, come on then; get it repaired ! Don’t waste 10 mins of your break waiting here for a simple hot drink AVOID!

The worst pret in London! Don't come here if you're on your lunch break, you'll spend half of it in here. The staff are not friendly at all and are just utterly useless. I only ordered a mocha, the people that were in front of me in the queue got their drinks first which is rightly so. But the people in the queue behind me also got their drinks before me! No apology from the staff for keeping me waiting for so long. Sorry but it should be first come first served! And also the drink tasted absolutely disgusting.

In the last week the staff has been very slow and inexperienced in the preparations of breakfasts. Many people waiting to get their hot drinks. Most of the time I had to remind twice to prepare mine. This morning I saw people who order after me served before me. The flat white I received was then cold, without foam and overflowing from the cup. These guys they should choose more experienced staff to use in the busy times. I will have to go somewhere else in the next mornings.

Visited on the 9/11/21 the Rap music blaring from downstairs was appalling obviously 18+ material I was visiting with my grandmother and a grandson and my Chez wife however the manager/Supervisor was swearing openly behind the counter and his general language ( in native tongue ) was appalling . We are visiting relatives in londoand chose this branch as it’s quieter ( from a public point of view) but the obscene music emulating from downstairs was appalling We won’t return ……..

I am new to the subscription and was delighted to find at this store you do frappes and shakes. I hazelnut frappe is the nicest frappe I have ever tasted. I would also like to mention the customer service was beyond spectacular. Danielle was extremely polite and professional and helpful.

The staff here are really lovely and cheerful. Quick, efficient service. The girl at the till was amazing and really sweet

Louis from 136 Great Portland st Pret was a star: very proactive, knows how to solve a problem and very client oriented.

I came here with my partner because we wanted something nice to eat. We ordered our food, sat down and after 5 minutes I had to go to the toilet. As I realised they have only one and it's broken! Serve only for takeaway if you don't have a toilet!!! This is awkward because now I have to hold back till our appointment. This isnt a proper customer service! The managers should handle the situation leaving signs to customers so customers can decide for themselves!

I just had the WORST customer service experience at the branch in 136 Great Portland St London! It's a pret that I go to at least 3 times a day, because it's the closest to my work. Usually the staff there are so lovely, specially Bob, he is fab! But today a lady who looked like was in charge, (Blonde), was exrtremely rude with no customer service whatsoever! Her colleague made me scan my subscription QR code 6 times as there was something wrong, when she called the lady in charge over, i tried to explain that it may not be working due to the amount of times i had to scan it, i tried to show her that it expires in Aug, etc. She told me to get out of the line and call customer service. I asked for her name and she told me she didnt have one. All this happened while many other customers were watching. I was very embarrassed, she was absolutely awful!!!

The barista serving on 18/07 was excellent- he was friendly and quick. Had a iced chocolate which just tasted like milk chocolate. You'll always find a decent selection of sandwiches here too with increasing vegan and vegetarian options.

The filter coffee is cheap and very good. As are the croissants.

Not to mention their amazing social skill of face recognition by just not remembering the customer but also what it previously wanted. I feel obliged to post this review as I have been let down by this Pret shop so many times now! Enough is enough. I regularly order coffee via Uber Eats from this shop, and NEVER do they read the instructions I send! The milk is ALWAYS missing. They never send something to stir with (am I supposed to use my fingers to stir a hot coffee, for instance?). Something is always missing and I end up binning my coffee as they don’t send milk and sweeteners! WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Simply bad service from most members of staff.. . No matter how many times a day you go to this place Some of the staff always looks miserable. Last time a tried to order a coffee they closed earlier than listed and customers were at the door while they walked around the shop. I had to walk over 15 mns. Trying to find the nearest pret.

Awesome customer service. Warm friendly staff very informed with knowledge of products & manner they tend to my needs than pushing sales onto me. Highly recommend. An asset for Pret.

We were served by a staff called Viktor. He was very warm and welcoming, you can feel his passion and smiles under the mask. He gave the kids snowman cookies which make them so happy. Even they close at 4 on a Sunday, they would very gentlely remind you and staye late for customers that couldn't leave immediately. We were almost the last ones to leave and they didn't push you or bug you. I am a loyal customer but hasn't been coming often lately. With this kind of good services, we will definitely return and come more often! Thank you Viktor! Top services received at this branch.

I would put 0 stars if I could but I went in for an iced latte and as I would in other coffee shops such as Starbucks or coast asked if it was possible to have no ice in the cup I know this may not be possible as they put it in the cup but I asked anyway as other places are able to do it but I'm not a bad customer so if they say it's not possible then I'll grin and bare it but i asked the man at the counter and he turned round to the other staff and started laughing and making a joke of it I was so angry but I paid and left with my latte honestly I'm outraged. What a great first experience in pret

This a fab branch of Pret. Staff are friendly and it's always well stocked. Lately though, the queues have been ridiculous and it seems like there aren't enough staff around at lunch times, what's going on?

Expect better customer service. Bought a bang bang chicken salad with a display price £3.80 but charged £4.79. When I queried it was passed on to someone to check who promptly changed the price on display and then ignored me. Waited for an explanation but nothing. Asked for a refund and will not be returning.

Not a big fan of the chain in general. Very few places to sit outside and you can barely find hot meals after 14:00. There are many other places that beat this place in every single category just around the corner.
