Pret a Manger in Southwark

I had to post a review as I just bought the most horrible flat white from this Pret. I know that Pret coffee has always been mediocre but it really was bitter with a hint of limescale remover. Sandwiches - great, coffee - never again!

Chain coffee shop that you can find in many places in the city. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads for a quick bite.

Absolutely the worst shop !!!!!! Staff racists and rude, lazy and careless… I have never seen such bad attitude towards customers.. awful… btw I am foreigner and one girl who works here was “ teaching me “ the proper way of talking English!!! How dare you 👎

Went there early on a Monday morning just after it had opened. The place is filthy dirty whilst it is not opened at the weekend we were there just after it had opened and was quite clear had not been cleaned for a while. The floors were sticky to walk on the tables were dirty even the area where the sugars were was not clean. Pret management need to do some spot checks on this place it’s needs someone to manage it

The shop should open at 7 am, but one of the staff members always opens the shop at 7:15 am.

The man with grey hair has a horrible attitude and is very rude. I hate going there but it’s the closest pret to my work. Do not recommend. Go work somewhere else if you hate your job.

Disgusting behaviour from staff Jose - this is the worse person to be serving food in a restaurant they need to look into the CCTV and see how he’s treating the customers, he was being rude to the guy before me too! This guy needs to be sacked! Gives me a meatball wrap when I specifically said I’m vegetarian, then when I confront him he has the audacity to say that all he has when there’s plenty of dishes!!!

Always happy to buy a sandwich or drink from Pret. Good service and reasonably priced.

Wow, these places are everywhere in London. Understand why as you get a decent coffee and baguette; great for on the go.

Quick service they have and I like it

Everything time I come to collect food from the app, too good to go, the manager make you feel like bad, he fist does not serve you untill other customer comes after you, make you wait, he lies that he don't have much food left and decides to give a bread and croissants instead of wraps and soups. If you don't want ppl to come and collect food then don't put it up into the app for ppl to collect.

Excellent coffee and hazel hot chocolate, the staff are friendly and the interior is very clean with comfortable chairs. Music is a nice level of volume and great selection of food. Always feel safe coming to Pret as you know the standards of the drinks will always be high.

Closes at 15:00 on weekdays. Came in at about 14:30 and the female staff member seemed upset I ordered a toastie. Customers after me weren't helped with a smile either, to say the least. Was told at 14:50 that they will close in 5 minutes. 1 minute later everyone was asked to leave by a different staff member.

07:10 doors closed, asked what time they open and got a shaking head in response.

Best Pumpkin spice latte that I have ever had.

Is Pret A Manger still called Pret A Manger or is it just Pret now? I've not seen the 'A Manger' part for a while.

Malignant drone couldn't give me my receipt as I'd asked immediately after he'd served someone else, then had the audacity to say that it was my fault.

A great place to pop in for a meet up with a lovely cup of tea, we were in just after 3:30pm and it was nice and quiet.

What a great gem of a coffee shop that does so much giving at the end of the day to food banks and the homeless. Brought my own coffee cup today and got a filter coffee filled with a smile. Travel home with a chocolate boost also helped a long day in London.

Always good food and drinks for a quick stop. Nice venue with chance to get a seat. Nice staff as well.

Coffee is nice but the furnitures are so dirty you don’t feel to sit on them. The dirtiest you can imagine.

Cette chaîne de restaurants est vraiment super, les produits sont très frais et délicieux. On peut y manger des plats chauds ou froids. Les recettes changent ce qui permet de changer ses menus. Ils s'implantent aussi à Paris ce qui est bien car c'est un fast food de grande qualité. Les tables pour s'installer sont très confortables. Il y a aussi un grand choix de fruits frais préparés, aussi original que des grenades par exemple.

Usually bang on with my coffee but here today not great 2 attempts to get my soya flat white with right milk and to get friends hot chocolate waited ages too. Hopefully s one off.....

I go to Pret mostly for breakfast, I think their baked goods are very well made and I enjoy the classic porridge which is overpriced in my opinion (maybe it's made with Unicorn milk, who knows). I rarely go to Pret for lunch because I don't enjoy their lunch menu, however I do appreciate the fact that there are a lot of options for vegetarians. I'm not impressed with their drinks menu, I tried a smoothie once and I wish I didn't bother (Note - I don't drink coffee). I prefer going to Costa for hot and cold drinks. I also don't like the way they store their disposable cutlery. I have been going to Pret for many years and generally the customer service is average to good but today (5th Sept 2018) the service was poor. I went into one of my local branches, 240 Blackfriars Road (I literally have a choice of five Prets within a 2 mile radius) and informed the "barista" that my porridge purchased the day before was cold. He looks at me blankly (he was clearly a new member of staff) so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager is called and I wait 5 minutes, she appears and then immediately gets on the till and starts serving other customers, another 5 minutes passes then she realises I'm the reason that she came to the "shop floor". She offerred me a complimentary porridge and drink and apologised for the miscommunication, which wouldn't have happened if the other two employees who were aware of the situation gave a damn. Update 6th Sept 2018 So I return to this Pret the next day for porridge at 10:20 and they don't have any and I'm told I have to wait a whole 15 minutes before the next batch is ready. 😐

Para comer en un momento, rápido, económico y bastante sano, para lo que a comida rápida estamos acostumbrados. Hay mucha variedad y no es nada caro. Una ensalada completa fresca y variada puede costarte 5£.

American opinion here: Great for a quick bite while on the move between museums and the like. Food is packaged up where you just grab what you want and either eat there or take it with you. Be prepared for packaging waste.

Offers limited gluten free healthy breakfast options. Good coffee. Gluten free friendly salads and sushi for lunch. Calm and pleasant atmosphere.

I happened upon this establishment one lunchtime when I was rather famished. To my delight, they offered a large array of fresh sandwiches, which were apparently freshly made on site. All the staff were very attractive and friendly, and you can pay with contactess bank card, Android pay or apple pay if you're a dick. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Nuestro punto de descanso cuando visitamos la ciudad. Hay bastantes repartidos por todo londres. Me encanta el Tea Peach. Tienen de todo para recuperar la energía después de patear la ciudad. Ademås, la mayoría tiene asientos muy cómodos.

Typical Pret experience. Although it's worth noting, for non-dairy people, there is not much choice. The iced coffee drinks are ready prepared, with ice blended in - they can't even make a soy iced coffee for example. Busy in the usual morning and lunch periods. Very quiet as the afternoon moves on.
