I've been at Dres for 3 years and all the cafes I've been to are very friendly. I was talking to the clerk to ask me for an iced chocolate and the boy who put out the chocolates got in the way and told me no, noe is going to put an iced chocolate. He spoke to me very abruptly and raised his voice at me. The boy who was at the checkout didn't say anything. It has been an embarrassing situation.

I can't get over the variety and freshness that Pret offers that so many patrons just take for granted, when I compare it to what we have in Australia there is just no equivalent. So many options!

Food- cinnamon danish disintegrating, and cappuccino so hot I possibly to drink. Service- Terrible, dirty trays and tables. Staff shouting everywhere with eachother as customers having meetings... Atmosphere - bad with customers waiting for they drinks awhile the members of the staff jokes with eachother... Great way to start your day. So many other options Infront or down the road.

It’s been 3 years that I come here to get a coffee with oat milk (as I can’t drink regular milk). They gave me a coffee with regular milk and the barista said that I didn’t specified “with oat milk”. I had to explain that it’s impossible as I don’t drink regular milk. I had to ask to do it again and both baristas were very rude saying that I didn’t specified. No wonder they didn’t hear as when you order they are shouting all over each others. Poor costumer service as they do not listen to you. At this point I will get a coffee somewhere else in the area. You’ve just lost a loyal costumer because of your inability to listen.

I am so impressed with this Pret, consistent quality of food, friendly team and quick service. Sam on their team is particularly helpful and friendly, such a nice way to start your day with some positivity. If only more people were like Sam.

Ordered a lattee and a breakfast tea. They put the milk in the cup before the teabag, and hot water. They didn’t wash the portafilter between uses and had bits of the last coffee granules still inside…

They can't make tea, or hot chocolate, just some watered down atrocity that I wouldn't be able to guess was hot chocolate, and isn't. I thought the first time it could be because of the morning rush but I gave them another shot early in the morning and it still tasted just as bad. Not worth your money guys, go to cafe nero a few feet away instead.

Terrible, the taste of genocide and apartheid made me sick.

I don't know what it is about this Pret but i hate this particular branch. it's just chaos every time, I repeated myself three times today clear as crystal, but no, because you spend all your time speaking spanish with your staff behind the counter, I , a very clearly spoken fluent English native had to repeat myself three times in my own country. once they all understood the very common english universal word that is spoken by all, they had a laugh like it was hilarious. Yes it's hilarious that a english customer had to repeat themself three times. well done.

Despite being the only 2 people working at the counters at 6am they served about 50 people for a 30 min I was at the place. They're beginner's as for the level of deli erance but I can tell they were trying their best. Just wanna give me absolurr respect for them.

Worst pret of all. Skae base kept in front of me and says we out of it. There was literally a whole carton right in front.

Quite possibly the worse pret I have been to. I have been to this store several years ago and i had several positive experiences but in this store currently i have noticed baristas in the back bickering about something ridiculous, management texting on his phone behind the bar- actually i will point out the two bald managers are actually awful with customers really rude and aggressive but just general poor management skills. Another employee had been jumping in and out to do other things when i was trying to pay with her and she wasn’t really paying attention to anything. Contemplating giving up my subscription because having this experience everyday is just not worth it.

I've bought one strong machiato at this place today. It was the most terrible coffee, basically it was nothing about coffee..it smelled horribly and the taste was just like some rubbish.. it ended up in a rubbish bin..

Food is ok but they don’t allow people to stay there long as they cut off the electricity from all the sockets. So no working. Hence, the rating

I visited this branch quite regularly and already noticed that some of the employees are rather unpleasant. Today I just stopped to grab a quick coffee as I was rushing for a meeting, someone before me ordered an exact coffee as mine except that it was extra hot. When my coffee was served to me it was boiling hot (it was a Flat White so it was served in the smaller cup) even tho I just asked for a regular one. The batista was just being lazy, I guess, and couldn't be bothered with preparing a separate milk for me so just made it extra hot. I asked for an extra cup so I could double it but the batista rudely refused telling me to use the sleave. However as I mentioned since it was a small cup the sleave didn't fit and since I was in a rush and had two bags with me I didn't want to risk spilling the boiling hot coffee on myself. So when I confronted the batista and cashier about that they refused to help or solve it in any way so I ended up just leaving my coffee on the counter. Also, I would like to mention that I've been a Pret's customer since quite few years now, and it's really upsetting how the quality of service decreased within the last 2-3 years. Most of the cashiers make the impression like it was a punishment for them not a job. Baristas are not properly trained and lazy, so the quality of coffee is very often worse then the £1 one from McDonald's. But well, lots of other coffee shops out there so no bother...

Lazy employee Order cappuccino Sprinkle with chocolate powder I said it ok just Scoop out the top safe you make new one. The employee replied: next time order white cappuccino.cappuccino is cappuccino is it ? nothing to do with chocolate powder 💁

If you don’t have customer service skills, find another job - is all I could say of the staff at the Kensington store. They sold me an inedible product and refused to replace it because I “I opened it” - how are you meant to know you’re opening something not fit for consumption? The European woman looked in physical pain that a customer had an issue, she probably is better placed in the back of a supermarket not customer facing with an angry looking face like that. The most inefficient Pret staff I’ve come across, if you hate your life that much, don’t show up to work! I negotiate millions in revenue everyday at work and do as much as I can for my clients, not talk to them like second class citizens. First impressions are everything and it would have been no skin off their back to fix the problem, cancelling my subscription.

Said which coolers they had in stock they had two, the lady checked the fridge then the Barrista says he’s not making them he’s too busy. Terrible service I heard it all. She shrugs her shoulders saying he’s not making them. 9/12 3:02pm

The counter and glass around the food was gross, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for weeks, who knows, maybe months. Makes one wonder about the health and safety; stopped me from consuming anything from this Pret with this level of food hygiene

Having visited here with a large group spending a significant amount,the refusal to change a £20 note into smaller notes was petty and reflects a poor attitude to those of us that pay your wages. The hugevprice increases,lack of space due to overselling of eat in and a rather rude manager ( more focused on telling pff staff in front of a waiting queue means that I will not be buying from Pret again.

Very rude, wow. I asked for skinny milk for a reason, they given me normal and now I feel very sick 🤢. What is wrong with Pret stuff being so irresponsible all over the city. Not the first time that happened to me. So if you need different type of milk, be aware, it is dangerous because Pret is very irresponsible.

Visited today around 5pm so I can enjoy Ruby Cocoa Pret Shaker with my prey subscription. The barista clearly didn’t want to do it as it involves several steps so she winked to her colleague saying that “ we dont have that”. I clearly saw the ruby powder at the back but they just treat you differently when you pay with the subscription!

Rude staff with incredibly poor English skills.

The staff here is very friendly and amicable.

I came today in this rainy weather especially to this location to get a shake.. and they told me they are off of shake base at 5pm 🤦🏻‍♂️

Great monthly deals, delicious buns and sandwiches, wide hot snd cold beverage options. Cutty Sark staff is definitely the best one!

Located in the Kensington Arcade as you exit the station. Given location, they were busy but not too bad. Nice buzzy branch with a cool atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. The branch is well laid out. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Efficient service. Good americano. Adequate range of pastries, hot food, sandwiches, drinks, snacks and more. There is normal seating, plus high stool seats on communal tables. I have the coffee subscription. My mark down was that the branch could be cleaner.

As per normal Pret standards, filthy. The table as per my photograph was left like that the whole two hours I was there (got more dirtier). In the other photographs you can see two staff in the black tops eating and chatting and one playing with a machine! Then again staff standing around chatting! No consideration for the health of customers! Yes you can have a break but surely this needs to be managed and staff need some sort of rotation to clean!

As you can see from my previous reviews, my partner and I loves to drink coffee. We want to try new coffee places. Last week, due to my nature of work have to travel all the way from East Sussex to London everyday, I decided to subscribed Pret monthly unlimited coffee. Rather than spending around £7 pounds a day for coffee (2 coffees) this subscription for me is worth it. And a 10%off to all foods/drinks and pastries. Try their Coconut Quinoa Porridge and don’t for get to ask for the honey (they are sometimes not offering you) it’s included in the porridge. It’s lovely! The Kensington Branch staffs and baristas are all very friendly!

Surly service. Handed me a cup with coffee stains on the side. The man should have stayed in bed this morning.

More expensive compared to other branch

I went there three times and I didn’t like the manager of the store and stuff didn’t care about cleaning up the tables and I wouldn’t recommend to drink it there. Unorganised places also all Staff speak Arabic language together including Algerian manager and he is not polite and aggressive and not friendly.

I won’t shop any food anymore. There was rotten vege leaves found in tuna salad box in the half way of my lunch…. Really bad!

I've got my coconut latte few minutes ago , it has extremely bitter taste & also extremely hot :( not possible to drink it at all . Also it costs 3.30 £ for take away but i've been charged for dine-in .

I visited this store at High Street Kensington Today morning(20/02) and was served by a very kind and considerate young man. He didn’t have a name badge but my receipt said the name Amol. Out of all my visit at this store and other Pret this was by far the best customer service given to me. The server interacted very politely and when I reached my seat and realised I forgot to ask for napkins I turned around to this young guy, who already brought some for me. He cleaned the table for me too. Good job

This is my local store, I enjoyed the service,especially one of the store staff called Arya who is being very helpful every time I visited

Not so good compared to other prets I've tried. I ordered a prets oatmeal with quinoa and it is way more watery than at other pret I have eaten at. It seems like the honey provided is alil off as well, it was not clear and smooth but instead it was slightly crystallised. I hope they can rectify this.

Went to Pret at 7.50pm on Tuesday 29/11 to get a coffee and was advised it was closed, i said to the staff online showed the store as open until 8.30pm. The employee told me it to check the online times because they aren’t updated. I said someone needs to tell the manager to update them and he rudely shrugged his shoulders as if he couldn’t care less about I was saying. Very annoying after I had walked 10 minutes to get to the store. Is Pret not competent enough to have accurate opening hours online/on Google? Also this young man with black hair (didn’t see his name) was very unprofessional and rude, I would never have someone like that working for me. Hope management can sort out their online opening times and their rude staff 👍 any professional employee would have apologised for confusion and said they would speak to management. Wouldn’t surprise me if that guy is working at Pret for many years to come..

Very rude staff, A man wearing a black t-shirt this morning was rude to the lady next to me. The lady was polite.Pret you should train your staff how to speak to the customers in a polite, not a rude way! It is not the first time I have experienced bad customer service in this branch. If he doesn't like people and his job, he should change his job then. Very bad morning experience, disappointed.

I came here for a double espresso this Sunday lunchtime waiting for the rest of my family to arrive at High Street Kensington tube. The best vantage point was from a long corridor at the back of the branch with seats affording a view of the entry gates. However I was asked to leave because the area was apparently closed for cleaning. There was certainly some evidence of a mop and pail next to the espresso machines. But the area was still closed when I walked past this branch five hours later. This branch was quite full at lunchtime. It is unreasonable to close off almost half the available seats for a cleaning operation staff could not be bothered to put into effect.

Very bad customer service. The cashier with black shirt never smile and say good morning. I asked hot milk and paid £1.40. They served cold milk. Can anyone teach them what’s the difference between hot and cold?

Pret is ok cheap than nero and others but not same taste nero is more taste so if you want cheap 25£ monthly and you can drinck 5 times pret,but if you want the taste then nero

No ice for cold drinks in the middle of summer. Half the seating area closed. No sign or explanation, but the manager is a surly troll who yells at people to stay out.

They don't make the whole range of drinks, included in their menu. Useless place. Also it's very dirty there, stuff doesn't clean tables. No tissues.

Yet another pret that I need to leave a 1 star review for. Scanned my subscription (which was renewed 2 days ago) and I'm told its not working. Logged into the website, double checked it is valid, and showed the staff the date/time & confirmation email etc. Staff said they can't help and I need to contact customer service? I'm paying for a service and you are not providing it. I'm starting to wonder if you are doing this intentionally to try and force people to cancel their £25 monthly subscriptions because you're losing money on it. The same goes for iced drinks and smoothies never working at your other branches. The amount of inconvenience this is starting to cause really isn't worth the value of the mediocre coffee and over-priced sandwiches.

Every single table was very dirty and there was no cleaner in sight. We had to ask for a spray to clean our table because it was too dirty! Horrible experience.

I’m very fortunate that this lovely place is right near my workplace. It’s easy to find (located right beside High Street Kensington station) you can’t miss it. Staff and manager there are excellent, very fast and efficient with their services. Habib always recommends me to try their pastries and oh my, they are so delicious! The best chocolate croissant I’ve had in London is located right here. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Great location as you just come off the tube. Open early, and open till late. Great place to grab some fresh food on the go. It can get busy but the staff are really responsive when a queue builds up. Can't go wrong coming here. I recommend the egg sandwich and the coffee black. Remember the Pret Trick. Their staff are given a certain budget every day, to give away free food to customers who have made an impression on their day. So be super happy and friendly, you never know if it leads to a free sarnie. 😄

I have been coming to pret a manger for 10 years in kensington highstreet station, its really gone down hill! The staff never clean tables properly or regularly so pretty dirty when your charged to eat in the place! Also many people coming in to sit and eat food like KFC or mac donalds which is very wrobg when you pay to eat the food you buy here but no staff checking anything!

Everyone’s trying to reduce plastic, switching plastic packaging to paper, but Pret does it the other way round! Was very disappointed today when couldn’t buy a toastie because paper packaging was changed so it’s now 50% paper, 50% plastic. What’s wrong with you, Pret a Manger management?? Will be shopping at Leon for lunch from now on!

Cant beat a pret , although sometimes oricey its convenience you pay for!

Not that good for the high price, I paid 8.5 pounds for a sandwich, a drink and and a bag of crisps - the sandwich was soggie. Next time will go the co-op.

This is the second time their products are not baked long enough. Have a look. It's like eating raw dough.

I am a great fan of Pret. However, this morning I had a sausage and egg brioche, which was great, and an espresso coffee, which was so bitter it was undrinkable and I threw it away. Had I not been in a hurry I would have taken it back and got the manager to try it, the beans must have been roasted to a cinder. I drink 2 or 3 cups of proper coffee every morning, so I do have a good idea what it should taste like. Very disappointing.

It's December. The place is as cold as outside. Avoid at all cost. There are better, warm and cosy places nearby.

Como he encontrado en la mayoría de las sucursales de Pret, había muchas opciones vegetarianas si hubiéramos querido bocadillos u otros bocadillos rápidos para almorzar. El café orgánico es de origen ético y tiene un sabor fantástico. Solía preferir las galletas cuando eran delgadas y crujientes, pero ahora son un poco gruesas y pegajosas. Refreshing 'still fruit water' drinks were lovely, not overly sweet or sharp like they tend to be. Slightly more spacious and less noisy than other cafes

This take-out managed to ruin my Birthday weekend. Having eaten the same as my partner for a week the only difference was the Crayfish and Avocado Sandwich I had twice that week in the King's Cross store and this one. I was ill for three days and could only manage to consume water in the time. I hear it's known as the 'Pret Regret' in the food industry and they still do nothing about it. I had the same verbatim reply from two separate customer service agents at Pret. Despite unequivocal evidence my food poisoning was caused by them I had to constantly chase them up for responses. Needless to say they did everything they could to wriggle out of responsibility. After at least two deaths from foods consumed in their stores I would have thought they would have been a little more attentive. Shame on them! "Our Safety Team have now completed their investigations and I wanted to share an update with you. The Safety Team have reviewed the delivery temperatures for the ingredients themselves, along with the temperatures of our fridges, freezers, and chilled display cabinets. These temperatures are taken regularly throughout the day. The temperatures for the day in question and also for several days beforehand were all normal and within range. On this particular day we sold 15 Crayfish & Avo sandwiches and we’re pleased to report that we have not received any similar complaints. There have also been no reports of Team Member illness. With these results and the absence of any further medical information, we can only conclude that your illness was not as a result of the Crayfish & Avo sandwich. The Safety Team has concluded that this was an isolated incident. Although occasionally food poisoning is due to the last meal that was eaten, this is often not the case, and depending on the type of food poisoning, the contaminated food may have been consumed 5 or more days previously. That being said, clearly you have suffered a very unpleasant illness and I understand your concern. I can confirm that our investigation did not highlight any breakdown in food safety procedures on that day or in the days preceding the incident. Regardless of the result, our Safety Team have followed up with the general manager of the shop to ensure that they’re adhering to the correct health and safety standards. "

Love this chain for fresh, nutritious, reasonably priced food! This location is next to the High Street Kensington tube stop, so very convenient. Has a decent amount of seating and friendly staff!

never been, and went in with friends. Hadn't a clue what to buy and what was what, but grabbed what i thought looked nice and it was soooooo tasty! Pity we don't have one in NI, but when it comes, i'll be in!
